Man dies after falling from tree.

A man has died from his injuries when a tree fell on him while he was out trying to clear debris from Storm Eunice.

The incident took place before noon in the Thomastown area in north Co. Wexford near the border with Wicklow.

It is understood the man and a colleague were working to clear fallen trees at the time of the accident.

The man was a county council worker, believed to be 59 years old.

The death is also being investigated by the Gardaí and the Health and Safety Authority.
