Expect a 86% drop in passengers through Shannon Airport.

Passenger numbers passing through Shannon Airport are expected to fall by 86% over the Christmas period this year, compared to the same period last year.

A spokesman from the airport said 10,000 passengers are expected through the airport this December, compared to 70,000 passengers last December.

Only three Ryanair services will operate from Shannon Airport over the Christmas period, flights to Stansted, Manchester and Wroclaw.
