Additional discounts in Dublin confirmed by Government.

Laincisí breise i mBaile Átha Cliath deimhnithe ag an Rialtas.

Taoiseach Micheál Martin confirmed in the evening that further social and economic restrictions are to be imposed in Dublin from midnight tonight for three weeks in a bid to suppress Covid-19 disease in the region.

Dheimhnigh an Taoiseach Micheál Martin tráthnóna go bhfuil srianta breise sóisialta agus eacnamaíochta le cur i bhfeidhm i mBaile Átha Cliath ó mheán oíche anocht go ceann trí seachtaine féachaint leis an ngalar covid 19 sa réigiún a bhrú faoi chois.

The Level 3 restrictions will be as set out in the Government’s six-month plan announced last Tuesday.

Srianta Leibhéal 3 a bheas i gceist de réir mar atá leagtha amach i bplean sé mhí an Rialtas a fógraíodh Dé Máirt seo caite.

At a press conference in the Houses of Government, the Taoiseach confirmed that only members of the same household will be allowed to visit another household at any one time.

Ag preasócáid i dTithe an Rialtais, dhearbhaigh an Taoiseach nach mbeidh cead ach ag daoine ón líon tí céanna cuairt a thabhairt ar líon tí eile ag aon am amháin.

A maximum of six visitors is allowed – whether in the house or in the garden.

Seisear cuairteoirí an t-uasmhéid atá ceadaithe – bídís sa teach nó sa ghairdín.

Indoor assemblies shall be prohibited and no more than fifteen persons shall be permitted to gather outside.

Beidh cosc ar thionóil faoi dhíon agus ní bheidh cead ag níos mó na cúig dhuine dhéag teacht le chéile taobh amuigh.

People will not be allowed to eat indoors in pubs or restaurants but can eat outside if the facilities are appropriate.

Ni bheidh cead ag daoine ithe taobh istigh i dtithe tábhairne ná i mbialanna ach is féidir ithe taobh amuigh má tá na saoráidí cuí ann.

Again, however, a maximum of fifteen people at any one time will be permitted.

Arís, áfach, cúig dhuine dhéag ar a mhéad ag aon am amháin a bheas ceadaithe.

People living in Dublin are also advised to stay in the county and people in the rest of the country are advised not to travel to Dublin, except to go to work or go to school or college.

Chomh maith leis sin, comhairlítear do dhaoine atá ag cur fúthu i mBaile Átha Cliath fanacht sa chontae agus comhairlítear do dhaoine sa chuid eile den tír gan taisteal go Baile Átha Cliath, ach amháin le dul ag obair nó le dul chuig scoil nó coláiste.

The Taoiseach said that he knows that many people will be angry about these latest restrictions.

Dúirt an Taoiseach go bhfuil a fhios aige go mbeidh fearg ar go leor daoine faoi na laincisí is deireanaí seo.

He claimed, however, that they are being implemented to protect the most vulnerable in the country and to keep schools open.

Mhaígh sé, áfach, go bhfuil siad á gcur i bhfeidhm leis na daoine is leochailí sa tír a chosaint agus leis na scoileanna a choinneáil oscailte.
