Children’s hospital ready to sue BAM.

Ospidéal leanaí réidh leis an dlí a chur ar BAM.

It is understood that the board of the new children’s hospital in Dublin is ready to take legal action if construction work does not resume on site by next week.

Tuigtear go bhfuil bord an ospidéil nua leanaí i mBaile Átha Cliath réidh le dul i muinín an dlí mura gcuirfear tús arís leis an obair thógála ar an láthair faoin tseachtain seo chugainn.

The board has already given two weeks’ notice to the construction company BAM and that is expected to be in place in a few days.

Tá fógra coicíse tugtha cheana féin ag an mbord don chomhlacht tógála BAM agus ceaptar go mbeidh sé sin istigh faoi cheann cúpla lá.

BAM is reportedly concerned about the costs of implementing social segregation at the Rialto construction site and wants to resolve the issue before work resumes.

Tuairiscítear go bhfuil imní ar BAM faoi na costais a bhaineann le scaradh sóisialta a chur i bhfeidhm ar an láthair thógála i Rialto agus gur mian leo an cheist a réiteach sula dtosóidh an obair arís.

However, the hospital board wants the work to begin without delay and for the issue of costs to be resolved in due course.

Tá bord an ospidéil ag iarraidh, áfach, go gcuirfear tús leis an obair gan mhoill agus go réiteofar ceist na gcostas i gceann na haimsire.

BAM is seeking compensation from the Government for the delays caused by the crown virus crisis.

Tá cúiteamh á lorg ag BAM ar an Rialtas faoin moill a cuireadh ar an obair de bharr ghéarchéim an choróinvíris.

They claim that other bodies with public works contracts are receiving ex gratia payments from the State but are not being offered anything.

Maíonn siad go bhfuil comhlachtaí eile a bhfuil conarthaí oibreacha poiblí acu ag fáil íocaíochtaí ex gratia ón Stát ach nach bhfuil tada á thairiscint dóibhsean.
