Lean ABC air ag aeráil arís i 1978.
Summary.
Achoimre.
The title character is a 40-foot purple gorilla (voiced by Bob Holt) with the mind of a child.
Is é an carachtar teidil gorilla corcra 40 troigh (guthaithe ag Bob Holt) le hintinn linbh.
His catch phrase is saying his name twice (“Grape Ape, Grape Ape”) after anything anyone says, usually as a form of agreement or acknowledgement of what was said.
Tá a abairt gabhála ag rá a ainm faoi dhó (“Grape Ape, Grape Ape”) tar éis aon rud a deir duine ar bith, de ghnáth mar fhoirm comhaontaithe nó mar admháil ar an méid a dúradh.
He travels the countryside with his canine pal Beegle Beagle (voiced by Marty Ingels), whom he calls “Beegly Beagly”.
Taistealaíonn sé faoin tuath lena phaidrín canine Beegle Beagle (guthaithe ag Marty Ingels), a dtugann sé “Beegly Beagly” air.
Grape Apes immense size tends to initially shock and frighten those unfamiliar with him, and his presence alone has often terrified people and animals, causing them to run off screaming invariably: “YEOW! A gorill-ill-ill-ill-la!”.
Is iondúil go gcuireann méid ollmhór Grape Ape turraing agus eagla ar dhaoine nach bhfuil cur amach acu air, agus is minic a chuireann a láithreacht ina n- aonar eagla ar dhaoine agus ar ainmhithe, rud a fhágann go rithfidh siad ag screadaíl i gcónaí: “YEOW! A gorill-ill-ill-ill-la!”.
The only exception to this was the character Rosie OLady (voiced by Janet Waldo), who appeared in Episode 11, “The Indian Grape Call”.
Ba é an t-aon eisceacht air seo ná an carachtar Rosie O’Lady (guthaithe ag Janet Waldo), a bhí le feiceáil in Eipeasóid 11, “The Indian Grape Call”.
When asked by Beagle why she did not yell in fear like everyone else did upon seeing Grape Ape, she simply said, “Youve see one 40-foot purple ape, youve seen them all”.
Nuair a d’fhiafraigh Beagle di cén fáth nach raibh eagla uirthi mar a rinne gach duine eile nuair a chonaic sí Fíonchaor Ape, dúirt sí go simplí, “Tá aip corcra amháin 40 troigh feicthe agat, chonaic tú iad go léir”.
In “Ali Beagle and the Forty Grapes”, a wooden city limits sign reacted to Grape Apes presence (after “overhearing” that no one else had) by progressively displaying the “YEOW!” phrase, with Beegle reading aloud as the sign changed, unfolding additional segments for the several “ill” syllables (after which it folded itself up and hopped away in fear).
In “Ali Beagle and the Forty Grapes”, d’fhreagair comhartha teorainneacha cathrach adhmaid do láithreacht Grape Ape (tar éis “éisteacht” nach raibh ag aon duine eile) tríd an “YEOW!” frása, le Beegle ag léamh os ard de réir mar a d’athraigh an comhartha, ag leathnú deighleoga breise do na siollaí éagsúla “tinn” (ina dhiaidh sin d’fhill sé é féin suas agus chuir sé eagla air).
Grape Ape and his friend Beegle Beagle usually move in a small yellow van driven by Beegle Beagle with Grape Ape sitting on the roof which can somehow support his weight.
Is gnách go mbogann Grape Ape agus a chara Beegle Beagle i veain bheag bhuí arna thiomáint ag Beegle Beagle le Grape Ape ina shuí ar an díon ar féidir leis a mheáchan a thacú ar bhealach éigin.
A recurring bit of business would be for him to rev up the tiny vehicle like a child with a friction toy, then hop aboard as the van would start on its way.
Rud beag athfhillteach gnó a bheadh ann dó an fheithicil bheag a athchruthú cosúil le leanbh le bréagán frithchuimilte, ansin dul ar bord mar a thosódh an veain ar a bealach.
Also, Grape Apes steps would often bounce Beegle into the air, where his legs would keep walking without breaking stride.
Chomh maith leis sin, is minic a phreabfadh céimeanna Grape Ape Beegle isteach san aer, áit a gcoinneodh a chosa ag siúl gan dul chun cinn a bhriseadh.
Given his size, Grape Apes sneezes were equivalent to a hurricane; and when he cried, which was sometimes when he was homesick for his family, his tears could cause flooding in areas.
I bhfianaise a mhéid, bhí sraothartaigh Grape Ape comhionann le hairicín; agus nuair a ghlaodh sé, a bhí uaireanta nuair a bhí an cianalas ar a mhuintir, d’fhéadfadh a dheora a bheith ina chúis le tuilte i gceantair.
When he does wrong, he also famously says, “Im sorry!”, which is done so often Beegle Beagle knows when it is coming and sometimes says it along with him, though often in a playful way.
Nuair a dhéanann sé mícheart, deir sé go cáiliúil freisin, “Tá brón orm!”, Rud a dhéantar chomh minic agus a bhíonn a fhios ag Beegle Beagle nuair a bhíonn sé ag teacht agus uaireanta deir sé in éineacht leis, cé go minic ar bhealach spraíúil.
