Revelation 9

1 And I saw another strong angel coming down out of heaven, clothed with a cloud; and an arch of coloured light was round his head, and his face was like the sun, and his feet like pillars of fire;

1 Ansin chonaic mé aingeal tréan eile ag tuirlingt ó na flaithis, agus néal mar éide ina thimpeall, agus an bogha sine ar a cheann. Bhí a cheannaithe mar an ngrian agus a chosa mar cholúin tine,

2 And he had in his hand a little open book: and he put his right foot on the sea, and his left on the earth;

2 Il tenait dans sa main un petit livre ouvert. Il posa son pied droit sur la mer, et son pied gauche sur la terre;

2 agus bhí scrolla beag ar oscailt aige ina lámh. Chuir sé a chos dheas ar an bhfarraige agus a chos chlé ar an talamh,

2 Y tenía en su mano un librito abierto: y puso su pie derecho sobre el mar, y el izquierdo sobre la tierra;

2 und er hatte in seiner Hand ein Büchlein aufgetan. Und er setzte seinen rechten Fuß auf das Meer und den linken auf die Erde;

3 And he gave a loud cry, like the angry voice of a lion: and at his cry the voices of the seven thunders were sounding.

4 And when the seven thunders had given out their voices, I was about to put their words down: and a voice from heaven came to my ears, saying, Keep secret the things which the seven thunders said, and do not put them in writing.

4 Agus nuair a labhair na seacht dtoirneach, bhíos ar tí scríofa, agus chuala guth ó na flaithis á rá: “Cuir séala lena bhfuil ráite ag na seacht dtoirneach, agus ná scríobh é.”

5 And the angel which I saw taking his position on the sea and on the earth, put up his right hand to heaven,

5 Agus an t‑aingeal a chonaic mé ina sheasamh ar an bhfarraige agus ar an talamh, d'ardaigh sé a lámh chun na bhflaitheas agus

6 And took his oath by him who is living for ever and ever, who made the heaven and the things in it, and the earth and the things in it, and the sea and the things in it, that there would be no more waiting:

6 mhionnaigh sé dar an té a mhaireann ar feadh na síoraíochta, an té a chruthaigh na flaithis agus a bhfuil iontu, agus an talamh agus a bhfuil air, agus an fharraige agus a bhfuil inti; mhionnaigh sé: “Ní bheidh moill ann feasta,

6 und schwur bei dem Lebendigen von Ewigkeit zu Ewigkeit, der den Himmel geschaffen hat und was darin ist, und die Erde und was darin ist, und das Meer und was darin ist, daß hinfort keine Zeit mehr sein soll;

7 But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when the sound of his horn is about to come, then will the secret of God be complete, of which he gave the good news to his servants the prophets.

7 ach sna laethanta a ghlaofaidh an seachtú haingeal, nuair a bheidh sé ar tí a thrumpa a shéideadh, ansin beidh rúndiamhair Dé arna comhlíonadh faoi mar a d'fhógair sé dá sheirbhísigh, na fáithe.” Itheann an Físí Scrolla

8 And the voice came to me again from heaven, saying, Go, take the book which is open in the hand of the angel who has his place on the sea and on the earth.

8 Ansin an guth a chuala ó na flaithis labhair sé liom arís, agus dúirt sé liom: “Ar aghaidh leat, tóg an scrolla atá ar oscailt i lámh an aingil atá ina sheasamh ar an bhfarraige agus ar an talamh.”

9 And I went to the angel, and said to him, Give me the little book. And he said to me: Put it in your mouth; and it will make your stomach bitter, but in your mouth it will be sweet as honey.

9 Chuaigh mé chun an aingil á rá leis an scrolla beag a thabhairt dom. Agus dúirt sé liom: “Tóg agus slog é, agus cuirfidh sé casadh searbh ar do ghoile, ach beidh sé milis mar mhil i do bhéal.”

10 And I took the little book out of the angel's hand and did as he said; and it was sweet as honey in my mouth: and when I had taken it, my stomach was made bitter.

10 Thóg mé an scrolla beag, más ea, ó lámh an aingil agus shlog mé é, agus bhí sé milis mar mhil i mo bhéal, agus nuair a bhí sé ite agam tháinig casadh searbh ar mo ghoile.

11 And they said to me, You are to give word again of what is coming in the future to the peoples and nations and languages and kings.

11 Ansin dúradh liom: “Ní foláir duit fáistine a dhéanamh arís i dtaobh pobal agus ciníocha [agus teangacha] agus a lán ríthe.”
