1 For it is my desire to give you news of the great fight I am making for you and for those at Laodicea, and for all who have not seen my face in the flesh;

1 PORQUE quiero que sepáis cuán gran solicitud tengo por vosotros, y por los que están en Laodicea, y por todos los que nunca vieron mi rostro en carne;
1 Ich lasse euch aber wissen, welch einen Kampf ich habe um euch und um die zu Laodizea und alle, die meine Person im Fleisch nicht gesehen haben,
2 So that their hearts may be comforted, and that being joined together in love, they may come to the full wealth of the certain knowledge of the secret of God, even Christ,
2 afin qu'ils aient le coeur rempli de consolation, qu'ils soient unis dans la charité, et enrichis d'une pleine intelligence pour connaître le mystère de Dieu, savoir Christ,

2 Para que sean confortados sus corazones, unidos en amor, y en todas riquezas de cumplido entendimiento para conocer el misterio de Dios, y del Padre, y de Cristo;
2 auf daß ihre Herzen ermahnt und zusammengefaßt werden in der Liebe und zu allem Reichtum des gewissen Verständnisses, zu erkennen das Geheimnis Gottes, des Vaters und Christi,
3 In whom are all the secret stores of wisdom and knowledge.

5 For though I am not present in the flesh, still I am with you in the spirit, seeing with joy your order, and your unchanging faith in Christ.
5 Car, si je suis absent de corps, je suis avec vous en esprit, voyant avec joie le bon ordre qui règne parmi vous, et la fermeté de votre foi en Christ.
5 Mar, más ea féin go bhfuilim i bhfad uaibh i bpearsa, táim faraibh sa spiorad, agus is cúis áthais dom sibh a fheiceáil in ord agus in eagar, agus a dhaingne atá bhur gcreideamh i gCríost.
5 Porque aunque estoy ausente con el cuerpo, no obstante con el espíritu estoy con vosotros, gozándome y mirando vuestro concierto, y la firmeza de vuestra fe en Cristo.
5 Denn ob ich wohl nach dem Fleisch nicht da bin, so bin ich doch im Geist bei euch, freue mich und sehe eure Ordnung und euren festen Glauben an Christum.
6 As, then, you took Christ Jesus the Lord, so go on in him,
6 Ainsi donc, comme vous avez reçu le Seigneur Jésus Christ, marchez en lui,

6 Por tanto, de la manera que habéis recibido al Señor Jesucristo, andad en él:
6 Wie ihr nun angenommen habt den HERRN Christus Jesus, so wandelt in ihm
7 Rooted and based together in him, strong in the faith which the teaching gave you, giving praise to God at all times.
7 étant enracinés et fondés en lui, et affermis par la foi, d'après les instructions qui vous ont été données, et abondez en actions de grâces.
7 Bígí préamhaithe ann agus bunaithe air agus daingean sa chreideamh faoi mar a múineadh daoibh é, agus bígí lán de bhuíochas.
7 Arraigados y sobreedificados en él, y confirmados en la fe, así como habéis aprendido, creciendo en ella con hacimiento de gracias.
7 und seid gewurzelt und erbaut in ihm und fest im Glauben, wie ihr gelehrt seid, und seid in demselben reichlich dankbar.
8 Take care that no one takes you away by force, through man's wisdom and deceit, going after the beliefs of men and the theories of the world, and not after Christ:
8 Prenez garde que personne ne fasse de vous sa proie par la philosophie et par une vaine tromperie, s'appuyant sur la tradition des hommes, sur les rudiments du monde, et non sur Christ.
8 Bígí aireach, áfach, le heagla go mbuailfeadh aon duine bob oraibh leis an bhfealsúnacht bhaoth mhealltach úd a leanann traidisiúin dhaonna agus atá bunaithe ar phrionsabail an tsaoil in áit a bheith bunaithe ar Chríost.
8 Mirad que ninguno os engañe por filosofías y vanas sustilezas, según las tradiciones de los hombres, conforme á los elementos del mundo, y no según Cristo:
8 Sehet zu, daß euch niemand beraube durch die Philosophie und lose Verführung nach der Menschen Lehre und nach der Welt Satzungen, und nicht nach Christo.
9 For in him all the wealth of God's being has a living form,
9 Car en lui habite corporellement toute la plénitude de la divinité.
9 Mar is i gCríost atá iomláine Dé ina chónaí go corpartha
9 Porque en él habita toda la plenitud de la divinidad corporalmente:
9 Denn in ihm wohnt die ganze Fülle der Gottheit leibhaftig,
10 And you are complete in him, who is the head of all rule and authority:
10 Vous avez tout pleinement en lui, qui est le chef de toute domination et de toute autorité.

10 Y en él estáis cumplidos, el cual es la cabeza de todo principado y potestad:

11 In whom you had a circumcision not made with hands, in the putting off of the body of the flesh, in the circumcision of Christ;
11 Et c'est en lui que vous avez été circoncis d'une circoncision que la main n'a pas faite, mais de la circoncision de Christ, qui consiste dans le dépouillement du corps de la chair:
11 Is ann freisin a timpeallghearradh sibhse ach ní leis an timpeallghearradh a rinneadh le láimh an duine é ach le timpeallghearradh Chríost, trínar baineadh an nádúr collaí anuas díbh.
11 En el cual también sois circuncidados de circuncisión no hecha con manos, con el despojamiento del cuerpo de los pecados de la carne, en la circuncisión de Cristo;
11 in welchem ihr auch beschnitten seid mit der Beschneidung ohne Hände, durch Ablegung des sündlichen Leibes im Fleisch, nämlich mit der Beschneidung Christi,
12 Having been put to death with him in baptism, by which you came to life again with him, through faith in the working of God, who made him come back from the dead.
12 ayant été ensevelis avec lui par le baptême, vous êtes aussi ressuscités en lui et avec lui, par la foi en la puissance de Dieu, qui l'a ressuscité des morts.
12 Comhadhlacadh sibh in éineacht leis sa bhaisteadh agus chomhéirigh sibh ó mhairbh in éineacht leis chomh maith as ucht an chreidimh a bhí agaibh i gcumhacht Dé a thóg ó mhairbh é.
12 Sepultados juntamente con él en la bautismo, en el cual también resucitasteis con él, por la fe de la operación de Dios que le levantó de los muertos.
12 indem ihr mit ihm begraben seid durch die Taufe; in welchem ihr auch seid auferstanden durch den Glauben, den Gott wirkt, welcher ihn auferweckt hat von den Toten.
13 And you, being dead through your sins and the evil condition of your flesh, to you, I say, he gave life together with him, and forgiveness of all our sins;
13 Vous qui étiez morts par vos offenses et par l'incirconcision de votre chair, il vous a rendus à la vie avec lui, en nous faisant grâce pour toutes nos offenses;

13 Y á vosotros, estando muertos en pecados y en la incircuncisión de vuestra carne, os vivificó juntamente con él, perdonándoos todos los pecados,
13 Und er hat euch auch mit ihm lebendig gemacht, da ihr tot waret in den Sünden und in eurem unbeschnittenen Fleisch; und hat uns geschenkt alle Sünden
14 Having put an end to the handwriting of the law which was against us, taking it out of the way by nailing it to his cross;
14 il a effacé l'acte dont les ordonnances nous condamnaient et qui subsistait contre nous, et il l'a détruit en le clouant à la croix;

14 Rayendo la cédula de los ritos que nos era contraria, que era contra nosotros, quitándola de en medio y enclavándola en la cruz;
14 und ausgetilgt die Handschrift, so wider uns war, welche durch Satzungen entstand und uns entgegen war, und hat sie aus dem Mittel getan und an das Kreuz geheftet;
15 Having made himself free from the rule of authorities and powers, he put them openly to shame, glorying over them in it.
15 il a dépouillé les dominations et les autorités, et les a livrées publiquement en spectacle, en triomphant d'elles par la croix.

15 Y despojando los principados y las potestades, sacólos á la vergüenza en público, triunfando de ellos en sí mismo.
15 und hat ausgezogen die Fürstentümer und die Gewaltigen und sie schaugetragen öffentlich und einen Triumph aus ihnen gemacht durch sich selbst.
16 For this reason let no man be your judge in any question of food or drink or feast days or new moons or Sabbaths:
16 Que personne donc ne vous juge au sujet du manger ou du boire, ou au sujet d'une fête, d'une nouvelle lune, ou des sabbats:
16 Dá chionn sin ná ligigí d'aon duine a bheith ag ordúchán oraibh faoi chúrsaí bia agus dí ná i dtaobh féilte cinn bhliana nó féilte míosúla nó laethanta sabóide.
16 Por tanto, nadie os juzgue en comida, ó en bebida, ó en parte de día de fiesta, ó de nueva luna, ó de sábados:
16 So lasset nun niemand euch Gewissen machen über Speise oder über Trank oder über bestimmte Feiertage oder Neumonde oder Sabbate;
17 For these are an image of the things which are to come; but the body is Christ's.
17 c'était l'ombre des choses à venir, mais le corps est en Christ.
17 Níl sna cúrsaí sin ach scáil na nithe a bhí le teacht ach is é Críost an t‑ábhar féin.
17 Lo cual es la sombra de lo por venir; mas el cuerpo es de Cristo.
17 welches ist der Schatten von dem, das zukünftig war; aber der Körper selbst ist in Christo.
18 Let no man take your reward from you by consciously making little of himself and giving worship to angels; having his thoughts fixed on the things which he has seen, being foolishly lifted up in his natural mind,
18 Qu'aucun homme, sous une apparence d'humilité et par un culte des anges, ne vous ravisse à son gré le prix de la course, tandis qu'il s'abandonne à ses visions et qu'il est enflé d'un vain orgueil par ses pensées charnelles,
18 Agus ná ligigí d'aon duine calaois a imirt oraibh ar scáth na huirísleachta ná adhradh na n‑aingeal. Ag brath ar a bhfuil feicthe aige féin a bhíonn a leithéid siúd agus é i mborr le bród díomhaoin as a mheon saolta féin.
18 Nadie os prive de vuestro premio, afectando humildad y culto á los ángeles, metiéndose en lo que no ha visto, vanamente hinchado en el sentido de su propia carne,
18 Laßt euch niemand das Ziel verrücken, der nach eigener Wahl einhergeht in Demut und Geistlichkeit der Engel, davon er nie etwas gesehen hat, und ist ohne Ursache aufgeblasen in seinem fleischlichen Sinn
19 And not joined to the Head, from whom all the body, being given strength and kept together through its joins and bands, has its growth with the increase of God.
19 sans s'attacher au chef, dont tout le corps, assisté et solidement assemblé par des jointures et des liens, tire l'accroissement que Dieu donne.

19 Y no teniendo la cabeza, de la cual todo el cuerpo, alimentado y conjunto por las ligaduras y conjunturas, crece en aumento de Dios.
19 und hält sich nicht an dem Haupt, aus welchem der ganze Leib durch Gelenke und Fugen Handreichung empfängt und zusammengehalten wird und also wächst zur göttlichen Größe.
20 If you were made free, by your death with Christ, from the rules of the world, why do you put yourselves under the authority of orders
20 Si vous êtes morts avec Christ aux rudiments du monde, pourquoi, comme si vous viviez dans le monde, vous impose-t-on ces préceptes:
20 Ós rud é go bhfuil sibh básaithe mar aon le Críost agus reidh le dúile an tsaoil, cad ab áil libh bheith ag géilleadh do rialacha ar nós:
20 Pues si sois muertos con Cristo cuanto á los rudimentos del mundo, ¿por qué como si vivieseis al mundo, os sometéis á ordenanzas,
20 So ihr denn nun abgestorben seid mit Christo den Satzungen der Welt, was lasset ihr euch denn fangen mit Satzungen, als lebtet ihr noch in der Welt?
21 Which say there may be no touching, tasting, or taking in your hands,
21 Ne prends pas! ne goûte pas! ne touche pas!
21 “Ná bain leis seo,” “Ná blais é sin,” “Ná teagmhaigh leis siúd,” amhail agus dá mbeadh sibh ag maireachtáil sa saol go fóill?
21 Tales como, No manejes, ni gustes, ni aun toques,

22 (Rules which are all to come to an end with their use) after the orders and teaching of men?
22 préceptes qui tous deviennent pernicieux par l'abus, et qui ne sont fondés que sur les ordonnances et les doctrines des hommes?

23 These things seem to have a sort of wisdom in self-ordered worship and making little of oneself, and being cruel to the body, not honouring it by giving it its natural use.
23 Ils ont, à la vérité, une apparence de sagesse, en ce qu'ils indiquent un culte volontaire, de l'humilité, et le mépris du corps, mais ils sont sans aucun mérite et contribuent à la satisfaction de la chair.
