2nd Corinthians 10

1 Put up with me if I am a little foolish: but, truly, you do put up with me.

2 For I have a very great care for you: because you have been married by me to one husband, and it is my desire to give you completely holy to Christ.

2 Táim ag éad libh mar a bheadh Dia féin, mar tá sibh luaite agam le Críost mar a bheadh maighdean gheanmnaí á tabhairt dá haon fhear céile.

3 But I have a fear, that in some way, as Eve was tricked by the deceit of the snake, your minds may be turned away from their simple and holy love for Christ.

3 Ach faoi mar a mheall an nathair nimhe Éabha lena chuid glicis tráth, is é eagla atá orm go gclaonfar bhur smaointe agus go dtréigfidh sibh bhur nglandílseacht do Chríost.

4 For if anyone comes preaching another Jesus from the one whose preachers we are, or if you have got a different spirit, or a different sort of good news from those which came to you, how well you put up with these things.

4 Mar, má thagann duine éigin ag fógairt Íosa daoibh nach é an té a fhógraíomana, nó má fhaigheann sibh spiorad nach é an Spiorad a fuair sibh uainne, nó má ghlacann sibh le dea-scéal seachas an dea-scéal lenar ghlac sibh, is breá mar a chuireann sibh suas leis.

5 For in my opinion, I am in no way less than the most important of the Apostles.

5 Ní dóigh liom go bhfuilimse pioc chun deiridh ar na sáraspail sin.

6 But though I am rough in my way of talking, I am not so in knowledge, as we have made clear to all by our acts among you.

6 Más tuata féin ar urlabhra mé, ní aon tuata mé ar eolas, rud atá léirithe agam i ngach slí daoibh riamh anall.

7 Or did I do wrong in making myself low so that you might be lifted up, because I gave you the good news of God without reward?

7 Nó an é peaca atá déanta agam dea-scéal Dé a fhógairt daoibh saor in aisce agus mé féin a ísliú d'fhonn sibhse a ardú?

8 I took money from other churches as payment for my work, so that I might be your servant;

8 J'ai dépouillé d'autres Églises, en recevant d'elles un salaire, pour vous servir. Et lorsque j'étais chez vous et que je me suis trouvé dans le besoin, je n'ai été à charge à personne;

8 Lom mé eaglaisí eile agus ghlac mé pá uathu chun freastal oraibhse;

8 He despojado las otras iglesias, recibiendo salario para ministraros á vosotros.

9 And when I was present with you, and was in need, I let no man be responsible for me; for the brothers, when they came from Macedonia, gave me whatever was needed; and in everything I kept myself from being a trouble to you, and I will go on doing so.

9 agus fad a bhí mé in bhur measc agus mé ar an ngannchuid, ní raibh mé i mo mhuirear ar dhuine ar bith agaibh mar ba iad na bráithre a tháinig ón Macadóin a choinnigh riar mo cháis liom. Níor lig mé dom féin bheith i m'ualach ar bith oraibh ná ní ligfidh mé amach anseo.

10 As the true word of Christ is in me, I will let no man take from me this my cause of pride in the country of Achaia.

10 Dar fírinne Chríost ionam, ní mhúchfar an maíomh seo ionam laistigh de chríocha Acháia.

11 Why? because I have no love for you? let God be judge.

11 Pourquoi?... Parce que je ne vous aime pas?... Dieu le sait!

11 Agus cén fáth? Toisc nach bhfuil cion agam oraibhse, an ea? Tá a fhios ag Dia go bhfuil.

11 ¿Por qué? ¿porque no os amo? Dios lo sabe.

11 Warum das? Daß ich euch nicht sollte liebhaben? Gott weiß es.

12 But what I do, that I will go on doing, so that I may give no chance to those who are looking for one; so that, in the cause of their pride, they may be seen to be the same as we are.

12 An ní seo atáim a dhéanamh leanfaidh mé á dhéanamh sa tslí nach bhfágfaidh mé cos fúthu siúd a bhíonn i gcónaí ag lorg leithscéil chun bheith ag maíomh go bhfuil siad ar aon chéim linne.

13 For such men are false Apostles, workers of deceit, making themselves seem like Apostles of Christ.

14 And it is no wonder; for even Satan himself is able to take the form of an angel of light.

14 Ach cá hionadh sin, nuair a chuireann Sátan féin riocht an aingil ghil air féin?

15 So it is no great thing if his servants make themselves seem to be servants of righteousness; whose end will be the reward of their works.

15 Ní mór an ní é, dá bhrí sin, má théann a sheirbhísigh sin i riocht sheirbhísigh na fíréantachta. Piolóidí an Aspail

16 I say again, Let me not seem foolish to anyone; but if I do, put up with me as such, so that I may take a little glory to myself.

17 What I am now saying is not by the order of the Lord, but as a foolish person, taking credit to myself, as it seems.

17 Níl an méid a deirim á rá agam le húdarás an Tiarna ach le barr díth céille agus mé ag maíomh go teann.

18 Seeing that there are those who take credit to themselves after the flesh, I will do the same.

18 Ós rud é go bhfuil mórán eile ag maíomh as a gcumas nádúrtha, déanfaidh mise maíomh chomh maith leo,

19 For you put up with the foolish gladly, being wise yourselves.

19 mar tá sibhse chomh stuama sin go gcuireann sibh suas go fonnmhar le hamadáin:

20 You put up with a man if he makes servants of you, if he makes profit out of you, if he makes you prisoners, if he puts himself in a high place, if he gives you blows on the face.

20 cuireann sibh suas, mar shampla, leis an duine a bhíonn ag déanamh giollaí díbh, nó ag déanamh foghla oraibh, nó ag teacht i dtír oraibh, nó ag cur gothaí air féin, nó ag tarraingt leiceadair oraibh.

20 Ihr vertraget, so euch jemand zu Knechten macht, so euch jemand schindet, so euch jemand gefangennimmt, so jemand euch trotzt, so euch jemand ins Angesicht streicht.

21 I say this by way of shaming ourselves, as if we had been feeble. But if anyone puts himself forward (I am talking like a foolish person), I will do the same.

21 Is náir liom a admháil go bhfuilimidne rólag chun a leithéid a dhéanamh, ach aon ní a leomhfadh duine ar bith acu sin maíomh as - caint bhuile í seo - tá an maíomh céanna le déanamh agamsa.

22 Are they Hebrews? so am I. Are they of Israel? so am I. Are they the seed of Abraham? so am I.

22 Sont-ils Hébreux? Moi aussi. Sont-ils Israélites? Moi aussi. Sont-ils de la postérité d'Abraham? Moi aussi.

22 An Eabhraigh iad? Is ea mise freisin. An Iosraelaigh iad? Is ea mise chomh maith. An sliocht Abrahám iad? Is ea mise chomh maith céanna.

22 ¿Son Hebreos? yo también. ¿Son Israelitas? yo también. ¿Son simiente de Abraham? también yo.

22 Sie sind Hebräer? Ich auch! Sie sind Israeliter? Ich auch! Sie sind Abrahams Same? Ich auch!

23 Are they servants of Christ? (I am talking foolishly) I am more so; I have had more experience of hard work, of prisons, of blows more than measure, of death.

23 An searbhóntaí do Chríost iad? Tá saochan céille anois orm ní foláir - ach is mó ná sin mise, mar is mó go mór a shaothraigh mé ná iad; ba mhinice i gcarcair mé: fuaireas léasadh gan áireamh agus ba mhinic mé i mbaol an bháis.

23 Sie sind Diener Christi? Ich rede töricht: Ich bin's wohl mehr: Ich habe mehr gearbeitet, ich habe mehr Schläge erlitten, bin öfter gefangen, oft in Todesnöten gewesen;

24 Five times the Jews gave me forty blows but one.

24 Cúig uair fuair mé na naoi mbuillí is tríocha ó na Giúdaigh.

24 von den Juden habe ich fünfmal empfangen vierzig Streiche weniger eins;

25 Three times I was whipped with rods, once I was stoned, three times the ship I was in came to destruction at sea, a night and a day I have been in the water;

25 Tres veces he sido azotado con varas; una vez apedreado; tres veces he padecido naufragio; una noche y un día he estado en lo profundo de la mar;

25 ich bin dreimal gestäupt, einmal gesteinigt, dreimal Schiffbruch erlitten, Tag und Nacht habe ich zugebracht in der Tiefe des Meers;

26 In frequent travels, in dangers on rivers, in dangers from outlaws, in dangers from my countrymen, in dangers from the Gentiles, in dangers in the town, in dangers in the waste land, in dangers at sea, in dangers among false brothers;

26 Ba mhinic i mo shiúlta mé agus gur bhaol dom aibhneacha agus gur bhaol dom robálaithe; ba bhaol dom mo chine féin agus ba bhaol dom na gintlithe. Ba bhaol dom sa chathair agus ba bhaol dom faoin bhfásach; ba bhaol dom ar muir agus ba bhaol dom na bráithre bréige.

26 En caminos muchas veces, peligros de ríos, peligros de ladrones, peligros de los de mi nación, peligros de los Gentiles, peligros en la ciudad, peligros en el desierto, peligros en la mar, peligros entre falsos hermanos;

26 ich bin oft gereist, ich bin in Gefahr gewesen durch die Flüsse, in Gefahr durch die Mörder, in Gefahr unter den Juden, in Gefahr unter den Heiden, in Gefahr in den Städten, in Gefahr in der Wüste, in Gefahr auf dem Meer, in Gefahr unter den falschen Brüdern;

27 In hard work and weariness, in frequent watchings, going without food and drink, cold and in need of clothing.

27 En trabajo y fatiga, en muchas vigilias, en hambre y sed, en muchos ayunos, en frío y en desnudez;

27 in Mühe und Arbeit, in viel Wachen, in Hunger und Durst, in viel Fasten, in Frost und Blöße;

28 In addition to all the other things, there is that which comes on me every day, the care of all the churches.

28 Agus gan na nithe eile a bhac, bíonn cúram na n‑eaglaisí uile ina mhuirín laethúil orm.

29 Who is feeble and I am not feeble? who is in danger of falling, and I am not angry?

29 ¿Quién enferma, y yo no enfermo? ¿Quién se escandaliza, y yo no me quemo?

30 If I have to take credit to myself, I will do so in the things in which I am feeble.

30 Más éigean dom maíomh a dhéanamh, is as mo laigí féin a mhaífidh mé.

30 So ich mich ja rühmen soll, will ich mich meiner Schwachheit rühmen.

31 The God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, to whom be praise for ever, is witness that the things which I say are true.

31 Tá a fhios ag Dia, ag Athair ár dTiarna Íosa Críost, moladh go deo leis nach aon bhréag atáim á rá:

32 In Damascus, the ruler under Aretas the king kept watch over the town of the people of Damascus, in order to take me:

32 A Damas, le gouverneur du roi Arétas faisait garder la ville des Damascéniens, pour se saisir de moi;

32 i nDamaisc dom bhí ceannfort rí Aratas ag faire na cathrach chun mé a ghabháil;

32 En Damasco, el gobernador de la provincia del rey Aretas guardaba la ciudad de los Damascenos para prenderme;

33 And being let down in a basket from the wall through a window, I got free from his hands.

33 ach scaoileadh anuas i gciseán mé trí fhuinneog san fhalla agus d'éalaigh mé uaidh.
