1 But Saul, still burning with desire to put to death the disciples of the Lord, went to the high priest,

2 And made a request for letters from him to the Synagogues of Damascus, so that if there were any of the Way there, men or women, he might take them as prisoners to Jerusalem.
2 et lui demanda des lettres pour les synagogues de Damas, afin que, s'il trouvait des partisans de la nouvelle doctrine, hommes ou femmes, il les amenât liés à Jérusalem.

3 And while he was journeying, he came near Damascus; and suddenly he saw a light from heaven shining round him;
3 Comme il était en chemin, et qu'il approchait de Damas, tout à coup une lumière venant du ciel resplendit autour de lui.

4 And he went down on the earth, and a voice said to him, Saul, Saul, why are you attacking me so cruelly?
4 Il tomba par terre, et il entendit une voix qui lui disait: Saul, Saul, pourquoi me persécutes-tu?

5 And he said, Who are you, Lord? And he said, I am Jesus, whom you are attacking:

6 But get up, and go into the town, and it will be made clear to you what you have to do.
6 Tremblant et saisi d'effroi, il dit: Seigneur, que veux-tu que je fasse? Et le Seigneur lui dit: Lève-toi, entre dans la ville, et on te dira ce que tu dois faire.
6 Ach éirigh i do sheasamh, gabh isteach sa chathair agus déarfar leat cad is déanta duit.”
6 El, temblando y temeroso, dijo: ¿Señor, qué quieres que haga? Y el Señor le dice: Levántate y entra en la ciudad, y se te dirá lo que te conviene hacer.
6 Und er sprach mit Zittern und Zagen: HERR, was willst du, daß ich tun soll? Der HERR sprach zu ihm: Stehe auf und gehe in die Stadt; da wird man dir sagen, was du tun sollst.
7 And the men who were with him were not able to say anything; hearing the voice, but seeing no one.
7 Les hommes qui l'accompagnaient demeurèrent stupéfaits; ils entendaient bien la voix, mais ils ne voyaient personne.

7 Y los hombres que iban con Saul, se pararon atónitos, oyendo á la verdad la voz, mas no viendo á nadie.

8 And Saul got up from the earth, and when his eyes were open, he saw nothing; and he was guided by the hand into Damascus.

9 And for three days he was not able to see, and he took no food or drink.

11 And the Lord said to him, Get up, and go to the street which is named Straight, and make search at the house of Judas for one named Saul of Tarsus: for he is at prayer;
11 Et le Seigneur lui dit: Lève-toi, va dans la rue qu'on appelle la droite, et cherche, dans la maison de Judas, un nommé Saul de Tarse.

12 And he has seen a man named Ananias coming in and putting his hands on him, so that he may be able to see.
12 Car il prie, et il a vu en vision un homme du nom d'Ananias, qui entrait, et qui lui imposait les mains, afin qu'il recouvrât la vue. Ananias répondit:

13 But Ananias said, Lord, I have had accounts of this man from a number of people, how much evil he has done to your saints at Jerusalem:

14 And here he has authority from the chief priests to make prisoners all who give worship to your name.
14 et il a ici des pouvoirs, de la part des principaux sacrificateurs, pour lier tous ceux qui invoquent ton nom.

15 But the Lord said, Go without fear: for he is a special vessel for me, to give to the Gentiles and kings and to the children of Israel the knowledge of my name:
15 Mais le Seigneur lui dit: Va, car cet homme est un instrument que j'ai choisi, pour porter mon nom devant les nations, devant les rois, et devant les fils d'Israël;

15 Der HERR sprach zu ihm: Gehe hin; denn dieser ist mir ein auserwähltes Rüstzeug, daß er meinen Namen trage vor den Heiden und vor den Königen und vor den Kindern von Israel.
16 For I will make clear to him what troubles he will have to undergo for me.

16 Porque yo le mostraré cuánto le sea menester que padezca por mi nombre.

17 And Ananias went out and came to the house, and putting his hands on him, said, Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus, whom you saw when you were on your journey, has sent me, so that you may be able to see, and be full of the Holy Spirit.
17 Ananias sortit; et, lorsqu'il fut arrivé dans la maison, il imposa les mains à Saul, en disant: Saul, mon frère, le Seigneur Jésus, qui t'est apparu sur le chemin par lequel tu venais, m'a envoyé pour que tu recouvres la vue et que tu sois rempli du Saint Esprit.

17 Ananías entonces fué, y entró en la casa, y poniéndole las manos encima, dijo: Saulo hermano, el Señor Jesús, que te apareció en el camino por donde venías, me ha enviado para que recibas la vista y seas lleno de Espíritu Santo.
17 Und Ananias ging hin und kam in das Haus und legte die Hände auf ihn und sprach: Lieber Bruder Saul, der HERR hat mich gesandt (der dir erschienen ist auf dem Wege, da du her kamst), daß du wieder sehend und mit dem heiligen Geist erfüllt werdest.
18 And straight away it seemed as if a veil was taken from his eyes, and he was able to see; and he got up, and had baptism;
18 Au même instant, il tomba de ses yeux comme des écailles, et il recouvra la vue. Il se leva, et fut baptisé;

19 And when he had taken food his strength came back. And for some days he kept with the disciples who were in Damascus.
19 et, après qu'il eut pris de la nourriture, les forces lui revinrent. Saul resta quelques jours avec les disciples qui étaient à Damas.

19 Y como comió, fué confortado. Y estuvo Saulo por algunos días con los discípulos que estaban en Damasco.

20 And straight away, in the Synagogues, he was preaching Jesus as the Son of God.
20 Et aussitôt il prêcha dans les synagogues que Jésus est le Fils de Dieu.

21 And all those hearing him were full of wonder and said, Is not this the man who in Jerusalem was attacking all the worshippers of this name? and he had come here so that he might take them as prisoners before the chief priests.
21 Tous ceux qui l'entendaient étaient dans l'étonnement, et disaient: N'est-ce pas celui qui persécutait à Jérusalem ceux qui invoquent ce nom, et n'est-il pas venu ici pour les emmener liés devant les principaux sacrificateurs?

21 Y todos los que le oían estaban atónitos, y decían: ¿No es éste el que asolaba en Jerusalem á los que invocaban este nombre, y á eso vino acá, para llevarlos presos á los príncipes de los sacerdotes?
21 Sie entsetzten sich aber alle, die es hörten, und sprachen: Ist das nicht, der zu Jerusalem verstörte alle, die diesen Namen anrufen, und darum hergekommen, daß er sie gebunden führe zu den Hohenpriestern?
22 But Saul went on increasing in power, and the Jews in Damascus were not able to give answers to the arguments by which he made it clear that Jesus was the Christ.
22 Cependant Saul se fortifiait de plus en plus, et il confondait les Juifs qui habitaient Damas, démontrant que Jésus est le Christ.

22 Empero Saulo mucho más se esforzaba, y confundía á los Judíos que moraban en Damasco, afirmando que éste es el Cristo.
22 Saulus aber ward immer kräftiger und trieb die Juden in die Enge, die zu Damaskus wohnten, und bewährte es, daß dieser ist der Christus.
23 Then, after some days, the Jews made an agreement together to put him to death:

24 But Saul got knowledge of their design. And they kept watch day and night on the roads out of the town, so that they might put him to death:

25 But his disciples took him by night and let him down from the wall in a basket.

26 And when he came to Jerusalem, he made an attempt to be joined to the disciples, but they were all in fear of him, not taking him for a disciple.
26 Lorsqu'il se rendit à Jérusalem, Saul tâcha de se joindre à eux; mais tous le craignaient, ne croyant pas qu'il fût un disciple.

26 Da aber Saulus gen Jerusalem kam, versuchte er, sich zu den Jüngern zu tun; und sie fürchteten sich alle vor ihm und glaubten nicht, daß er ein Jünger wäre.
27 But Barnabas took him to the Apostles and gave them an account of how he had seen the Lord on the road, and had given hearing to his words, and how at Damascus he had been preaching in the name of Jesus without fear.
27 Alors Barnabas, l'ayant pris avec lui, le conduisit vers les apôtres, et leur raconta comment sur le chemin Saul avait vu le Seigneur, qui lui avait parlé, et comment à Damas il avait prêché franchement au nom de Jésus.

27 Entonces Bernabé, tomándole, lo trajo á los apóstoles, y contóles cómo había visto al Señor en el camino, y que le había hablado, y cómo en Damasco había hablado confiadamente en el nombre de Jesús.
27 Barnabas aber nahm ihn zu sich und führte ihn zu den Aposteln und erzählte ihnen, wie er auf der Straße den HERRN gesehen und er mit ihm geredet und wie er zu Damaskus den Namen Jesus frei gepredigt hätte.
28 And he was with them, going in and out at Jerusalem,

29 Preaching in the name of the Lord without fear; and he had discussions with the Greek Jews; but they were working for his death.
29 Il parlait aussi et disputait avec les Hellénistes; mais ceux-ci cherchaient à lui ôter la vie.

30 And when the brothers had knowledge of it, they took him to Caesarea and sent him to Tarsus.

31 And so the church through all Judaea and Galilee and Samaria had peace and was made strong; and, living in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit, was increased greatly.
31 L'Église était en paix dans toute la Judée, la Galilée et la Samarie, s'édifiant et marchant dans la crainte du Seigneur, et elle s'accroissait par l'assistance du Saint Esprit.

31 Las iglesias entonces tenían paz por toda Judea y Galilea y Samaria, y eran edificadas, andando en el temor del Señor; y con consuelo del Espíritu Santo eran multiplicadas.
31 So hatte nun die ganze Gemeinde Frieden durch ganz Judäa und Galiläa und Samarien und baute sich und wandelte in der Furcht des HERRN und ward erfüllt mit Trost des Heiligen Geistes.
32 And it came about that while Peter was going through all parts of the country he came to the saints who were living at Lydda.
32 Comme Pierre visitait tous les saints, il descendit aussi vers ceux qui demeuraient à Lydde.

33 And there was a certain man there, named Aeneas, who for eight years had been in bed, without power of moving.
33 Il y trouva un homme nommé Énée, couché sur un lit depuis huit ans, et paralytique.

34 And Peter said to him, Aeneas, Jesus Christ makes you well: get up and make your bed. And straight away he got up.

35 And all those living in Lydda and Sharon saw him, and were turned to the Lord.
