1 And it came about that when he went into the house of one of the chief Pharisees on the Sabbath, to have a meal, they were watching him.
1 Jésus étant entré, un jour de sabbat, dans la maison de l'un des chefs des pharisiens, pour prendre un repas, les pharisiens l'observaient.

1 Und es begab sich, daß er kam in ein Haus eines Obersten der Pharisäer an einem Sabbat, das Brot zu essen; und sie hatten acht auf ihn.
2 And a certain man was there who had a disease.
2 Et voici, un homme hydropique était devant lui.
2 Agus bhí, os a chomhair amach, fear a raibh íorpais air.
2 Y he aquí un hombre hidrópico estaba delante de él.
2 Und siehe, da war ein Mensch vor ihm, der war wassersüchtig.
3 And Jesus, answering, said to the scribes and Pharisees, Is it right to make people well on the Sabbath or not?
3 Jésus prit la parole, et dit aux docteurs de la loi et aux pharisiens: Est-il permis, ou non, de faire une guérison le jour du sabbat?
3 Labhair Íosa leis na dlíodóirí agus leis na Fairisínigh: “An dleathach leigheas a dhéanamh lá saboide,” ar sé, “nó an mídhleathach?”
3 Y respondiendo Jesús, habló á los doctores de la ley y á los Fariseos, diciendo: ¿Es lícito sanar en sábado?
3 Und Jesus antwortete und sagte zu den Schriftgelehrten und Pharisäern und sprach: Ist's auch recht, am Sabbat zu heilen?
4 But they said nothing. And he made him well and sent him away.
4 Ils gardèrent le silence. Alors Jésus avança la main sur cet homme, le guérit, et le renvoya.

4 Y ellos callaron. Entonces él tomándole, le sanó, y despidióle.
4 Sie aber schwiegen still. Und er griff ihn an und heilte ihn und ließ ihn gehen.
5 And he said to them, Which of you, whose ox or ass has got into a water-hole, will not straight away get him out on the Sabbath?
5 Puis il leur dit: Lequel de vous, si son fils ou son boeuf tombe dans un puits, ne l'en retirera pas aussitôt, le jour du sabbat?
5 Agus dúirt sé leo: “An bhfuil aon duine agaibh a dtitfidh a mhac nó a dhamh sa tobar agus nach dtarraingeoidh amach láithreach é lá na sabóide?”
5 Y respondiendo á ellos dijo: ¿El asno ó el buey de cuál de vosotros caerá en algún pozo, y no lo sacará luego en día de sábado?
5 Und antwortete und sprach zu ihnen: Welcher ist unter euch, dem sein Ochse oder Esel in den Brunnen fällt, und der nicht alsbald ihn herauszieht am Sabbattage?
6 And they had no answer to that question.
6 Et ils ne purent rien répondre à cela.

7 And he gave teaching in the form of a story to the guests who came to the feast, when he saw how they took the best seats; saying to them,
7 Il adressa ensuite une parabole aux conviés, en voyant qu'ils choisissaient les premières places; et il leur dit:
7 Dúirt sé parabal leo siúd a fuair an cuireadh, ar a shonrú dó mar a thoghaidís na chéad áiteanna; dúirt sé leo:
7 Y observando cómo escogían los primeros asientos á la mesa, propuso una parábola á los convidados, diciéndoles:
7 Er sagte aber ein Gleichnis zu den Gästen, da er merkte, wie sie erwählten obenan zu sitzen, und sprach zu ihnen:
8 When you get a request to come to a feast, do not take the best seat, for a more important man than you may be coming,
8 Lorsque tu seras invité par quelqu'un à des noces, ne te mets pas à la première place, de peur qu'il n'y ait parmi les invités une personne plus considérable que toi,
8 “Nuair a thabharfaidh duine éigin cuireadh chun bainise duit, ná téigh i do luí sa chéad áit, le heagla go mbeadh cuireadh ag duine eile uaidh ba mhó le rá ná thú,
8 Cuando fueres convidado de alguno á bodas, no te sientes en el primer lugar, no sea que otro más honrado que tú esté por él convidado,
8 Wenn du von jemand geladen wirst zur Hochzeit, so setze dich nicht obenan, daß nicht etwa ein Vornehmerer denn du von ihm geladen sei,
9 And then the giver of the feast will come to you and say, Give your place to this man; and you, with shame, will have to take the lowest seat.
9 et que celui qui vous a invités l'un et l'autre ne vienne te dire: Cède la place à cette personne-là. Tu aurais alors la honte d'aller occuper la dernière place.
9 agus go dtiocfaidh an té a thug an cuireadh duit féin agus dó sin, á rá leat: ‘Tabhair áit dó seo,’ agus go gcaithfeá ansin agus ceann faoi ort an áit is ísle a ghabháil.
9 Y viniendo el que te llamó á ti y á él, te diga: Da lugar á éste: y entonces comiences con vergüenza á tener el lugar último.
9 und dann komme, der dich und ihn geladen hat, und spreche zu dir: Weiche diesem! und du müssest dann mit Scham untenan sitzen.
10 But when you come, go and take the lowest seat, so that when the giver of the feast comes, he may say to you, Friend, come up higher; and then you will have honour in the eyes of all the others who are there.
10 Mais, lorsque tu seras invité, va te mettre à la dernière place, afin que, quand celui qui t'a invité viendra, il te dise: Mon ami, monte plus haut. Alors cela te fera honneur devant tous ceux qui seront à table avec toi.
10 Ach nuair a gheobhaidh tú cuireadh, tar agus lig fút san áit is ísle, sa chaoi, nuair a thiocfaidh an té a thug an cuireadh duit, go ndéarfaidh sé leat: ‘A chara, gabh níos faide suas’; ansin beidh onóir ann duit i láthair chách a bhíonn ag bord leat.
10 Mas cuando fueres convidado, ve, y siéntate en el postrer lugar; porque cuando viniere el que te llamó, te diga: Amigo, sube arriba: entonces tendrás gloria delante de los que juntamente se asientan á la mesa.
10 Sondern wenn du geladen wirst, so gehe hin und setze dich untenan, auf daß, wenn da kommt, der dich geladen hat, er spreche zu dir: Freund, rücke hinauf! Dann wirst du Ehre haben vor denen, die mit dir am Tische sitzen.
11 For every man who gives himself a high place will be put down, but he who takes a low place will be lifted up.
11 Car quiconque s'élève sera abaissé, et quiconque s'abaisse sera élevé.
11 Óir gach aon duine a ardaíonn é féin, ísleofar é, agus an té a íslíonn é féin, ardófar é.”
11 Porque cualquiera que se ensalza, será humillado; y el que se humilla, será ensalzado.
11 Denn wer sich selbst erhöht, der soll erniedrigt werden; und wer sich selbst erniedrigt, der soll erhöht werden.
12 And he said to the master of the house, When you give a feast, do not send for your friends and your brothers and your family or your neighbours who have wealth, for they may give a feast for you, and so you will get a reward.
12 Il dit aussi à celui qui l'avait invité: Lorsque tu donnes à dîner ou à souper, n'invite pas tes amis, ni tes frères, ni tes parents, ni des voisins riches, de peur qu'ils ne t'invitent à leur tour et qu'on ne te rende la pareille.
12 Dúirt sé freisin leis an té a thug an cuireadh dó: “Nuair a bhíonn meán lae nó dinnéar á thabhairt agat, ná cuir gairm ar do chairde ná ar do bhráithre ná ar do ghaolta ná ar do chomharsana saibhre, le heagla go dtabharfaidís sin cuireadh duitse ar a seal agus go ndíolfaí an comhar leat.
12 Y dijo también al que le había convidado: Cuando haces comida ó cena, no llames á tus amigos, ni á tus hermanos, ni á tus parientes, ni á vecinos ricos; porque también ellos no te vuelvan á convidar, y te sea hecha compensación.
12 Er sprach auch zu dem, der ihn geladen hatte: Wenn du ein Mittags-oder Abendmahl machst, so lade nicht deine Freunde noch deine Brüder noch deine Gefreunden noch deine Nachbarn, die da reich sind, auf daß sie dich nicht etwa wieder laden und dir vergolten werde.
13 But when you give a feast, send for the poor and the blind and those who are broken in body:
13 Mais, lorsque tu donnes un festin, invite des pauvres, des estropiés, des boiteux, des aveugles.
13 Ach nuair a bhíonn fleá agat á tabhairt, tabhair cuireadh do bhoicht, do mhairtínigh, do bhacaigh, do dhaill;
13 Mas cuando haces banquete, llama á los pobres, los mancos, los cojos, los ciegos;
13 Sondern wenn du ein Mahl machst, so lade die Armen, die Krüppel, die Lahmen, die Blinden,
14 And you will have a blessing, because they will not be able to give you any payment, and you will get your reward when the upright come back from the dead.
14 Et tu seras heureux de ce qu'ils ne peuvent pas te rendre la pareille; car elle te sera rendue à la résurrection des justes.
14 agus beidh sonas ort, de bhrí nach bhfuil teacht acu ar é a chúiteamh leat; óir cúiteofar leat é in aiséirí na bhfíréan.” Parabal an Dinnéir Mhóir
14 Y serás bienaventurado; porque no te pueden retribuir; mas te será recompensado en la resurrección de los justos.
14 so bist du selig; denn sie haben's dir nicht zu vergelten, es wird dir aber vergolten werden in der Auferstehung der Gerechten.
15 And, hearing these words, one of those who were at table with him said to him, Happy is the man who will be a guest in the kingdom of God.
15 Un de ceux qui étaient à table, après avoir entendu ces paroles, dit à Jésus: Heureux celui qui prendra son repas dans le royaume de Dieu!
15 Duine díobh seo a bhí ag bord leis, ar chloisteáil an méid sin dó, dúirt sé leis: “Is méanar don té a chaitheann a chuid i ríocht Dé!”
15 Y oyendo esto uno de los que juntamente estaban sentados á la mesa, le dijo: Bienaventurado el que comerá pan en el reino de los cielos.
15 Da aber solches hörte einer, der mit zu Tische saß, sprach er zu ihm: Selig ist, der das Brot ißt im Reiche Gottes.
16 And he said to them, A certain man gave a great feast, and sent word of it to a number of people.
16 Et Jésus lui répondit: Un homme donna un grand souper, et il invita beaucoup de gens.
16 Dúirt sé leis: “Bhí fear ann agus dinnéar mór aige á thabhairt, agus thug sé cuireadh dá lán.
16 El entonces le dijo: Un hombre hizo una grande cena, y convido á muchos.
16 Er aber sprach zu ihm: Es war ein Mensch, der machte ein großes Abendmahl und lud viele dazu.
17 And when the time had come, he sent his servants to say to them, Come, for all things are now ready.
17 A l'heure du souper, il envoya son serviteur dire aux conviés: Venez, car tout est déjà prêt.
17 Chuir sé a sheirbhíseach uaidh ar uair an dinnéir á rá leo seo a fuair an cuireadh: ‘Tagaigí, mar tá sé reidh anois.’
17 Y á la hora de la cena envió á su siervo á decir á los convidados: Venid, que ya está todo aparejado.
17 Und sandte seinen Knecht aus zur Stunde des Abendmahls, zu sagen den Geladenen: Kommt, denn es ist alles bereit!
18 And they all gave reasons why they were not able to come. The first said to him, I have got a new field, and it is necessary for me to go and see it: I am full of regret that I am unable to come.
18 Mais tous unanimement se mirent à s'excuser. Le premier lui dit: J'ai acheté un champ, et je suis obligé d'aller le voir; excuse-moi, je te prie.
18 Agus thosaigh siad uile mar a chéile á leithscéalú féin. Dúirt an chéad duine leis: ‘Tá feirm ceannaithe agam, agus is éigean dom dul amach á feiceáil; iarraim ort mo leithscéal a ghabháil.’
18 Y comenzaron todos á una á excusarse. El primero le dijo: He comprado una hacienda, y necesito salir y verla; te ruego que me des por excusado.
18 Und sie fingen an, alle nacheinander, sich zu entschuldigen. Der erste sprach zu ihm: Ich habe einen Acker gekauft und muß hinausgehen und ihn besehen; ich bitte dich, entschuldige mich.
19 And another said, I have got some cattle, and I am going to make a test of them: I am full of regret that I am unable to come.
19 Un autre dit: J'ai acheté cinq paires de boeufs, et je vais les essayer; excuse-moi, je te prie.
19 Dúirt duine eile: ‘Tá cúig cuingireacha damh ceannaithe agam, agus táim ag dul á dtriail; iarraim ort mo leithscéal a ghabháil.’
19 Y el otro dijo: He comprado cinco yuntas de bueyes, y voy á probarlos; ruégote que me des por excusado.
19 Und der andere sprach: Ich habe fünf Joch Ochsen gekauft, und ich gehe jetzt hin, sie zu besehen; ich bitte dich, entschuldige mich.
20 And another said, I have been married, and so I am not able to come.
20 Un autre dit: Je viens de me marier, et c'est pourquoi je ne puis aller.
20 Agus dúirt duine eile: ‘Táim tar éis pósta, agus dá bhrí sin ní fhéadaim dul.’
20 Y el otro dijo: Acabo de casarme, y por tanto no puedo ir.
20 Und der dritte sprach: Ich habe ein Weib genommen, darum kann ich nicht kommen.
21 And the servant came back and gave his master an account of these things. Then the master of the house was angry and said to the servant, Go out quickly into the streets of the town and get the poor, the blind, and those who are broken in body.
21 Le serviteur, de retour, rapporta ces choses à son maître. Alors le maître de la maison irrité dit à son serviteur: Va promptement dans les places et dans les rues de la ville, et amène ici les pauvres, les estropiés, les aveugles et les boiteux.
21 Tháinig an seirbhíseach ar ais agus d'inis an méid sin dá mháistir. Dúirt fear an tí lena sheirbhíseach ansin, agus fearg air: ‘Amach leat gan stad faoi shráideanna agus faoi chabhsaí na cathrach, agus seol isteach anseo na boicht agus na mairtínigh agus na daill agus na bacaigh.’
21 Y vuelto el siervo, hizo saber estas cosas á su señor. Entonces enojado el padre de la familia, dijo á su siervo: Ve presto por las plazas y por las calles de la ciudad, y mete acá los pobres, los mancos, y cojos, y ciegos.
21 Und der Knecht kam und sagte das seinem Herrn wieder. Da ward der Hausherr zornig und sprach zu seinem Knechte: Gehe aus schnell auf die Straßen und Gassen der Stadt und führe die Armen und Krüppel und Lahmen und Blinden herein.
22 And the servant said, Lord, your orders have been done, and still there is room.
22 Le serviteur dit: Maître, ce que tu as ordonné a été fait, et il y a encore de la place.
22 Dúirt an seirbhíseach: ‘A mháistir, tá ar ordaigh tú déanta, ach tá slí fós ann.’
22 Y dijo el siervo: Señor, hecho es como mandaste, y aun hay lugar.
22 Und der Knecht sprach: Herr, es ist geschehen, was du befohlen hast; es ist aber noch Raum da.
23 And the lord said to the servant, Go out into the roads and the fields, and make them come in, so that my house may be full.
23 Et le maître dit au serviteur: Va dans les chemins et le long des haies, et ceux que tu trouveras, contrains-les d'entrer, afin que ma maison soit remplie.
23 Agus dúirt an máistir leis an seirbhíseach: ‘Téigh amach ar na bóithre agus le hais na bhfál, agus cuir d'fhiacha orthu teacht isteach, ionas go mbeidh mo theach lán.
23 Y dijo el señor al siervo: Ve por los caminos y por los vallados, y fuérza los á entrar, para que se llene mi casa.
23 Und der Herr sprach zu dem Knechte: Gehe aus auf die Landstraßen und an die Zäune und nötige sie hereinzukommen, auf das mein Haus voll werde.
24 For I say to you that not one of those who were requested to come will have a taste of my feast.
24 Car, je vous le dis, aucun de ces hommes qui avaient été invités ne goûtera de mon souper.
24 Óir deirim libh, na fir úd a fuair an cuireadh, ní bhlaisfidh aon duine acu mo dhinnéar.’ ” Na Coinníollacha ar a Leantar Críost
24 Porque os digo que ninguno de aquellos hombres que fueron llamados, gustará mi cena.
24 Ich sage euch aber, daß der Männer keiner, die geladen waren mein Abendmahl schmecken wird.
25 Now a great number of people went with him.
25 De grandes foules faisaient route avec Jésus. Il se retourna, et leur dit:
25 Bhí sluaite móra á thionlacan, agus d'iompaigh sé agus dúirt leo:
25 Y muchas gentes iban con él; y volviéndose les dijo:
25 Es ging aber viel Volks mit ihm; und er wandte sich und sprach zu ihnen:
26 And turning round, he said to them, If any man comes to me, and has not hate for his father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, and even for his life, he may not be my disciple.
26 Si quelqu'un vient à moi, et s'il ne hait pas son père, sa mère, sa femme, ses enfants, ses frères, et ses soeurs, et même à sa propre vie, il ne peut être mon disciple.
26 “Má thagann aon duine chugam agus gan fuath a bheith aige dá athair agus dá mháthair agus dá bhean agus dá chlann agus dá dheartháireacha agus dá dheirfiúracha, agus fiú amháin dá anam féin, ní féidir dó bheith ina dheisceabal agam.
26 Si alguno viene á mí, y no aborrece á su padre, y madre, y mujer, é hijos, y hermanos, y hermanas, y aun también su vida, no puede ser mi discípulo.
26 So jemand zu mir kommt und haßt nicht seinen Vater, Mutter, Weib, Kinder, Brüder, Schwestern, auch dazu sein eigen Leben, der kann nicht mein Jünger sein.
27 Whoever does not take up his cross and come after me may not be my disciple.
27 Et quiconque ne porte pas sa croix, et ne me suis pas, ne peut être mon disciple.
27 Cibé nach ndéanann a chros a iompar agus teacht i mo dhiaidh, ní féidir dó bheith ina dheisceabal agam.
27 Y cualquiera que no trae su cruz, y viene en pos de mí, no puede ser mi discípulo.
27 Und wer nicht sein Kreuz trägt und mir nachfolgt, der kann nicht mein Jünger sein.
28 For which of you, desiring to put up a tower, does not first give much thought to the price, if he will have enough to make it complete?
28 Car, lequel de vous, s'il veut bâtir une tour, ne s'assied d'abord pour calculer la dépense et voir s'il a de quoi la terminer,
28 Óir cé agaibh arb áil leis túr a thógáil, nach suífidh síos ar dtús agus an costas a mheas, féachaint an acmhainn dó é a chríochnú?
28 Porque ¿cuál de vosotros, queriendo edificar una torre, no cuenta primero sentado los gastos, si tiene lo que necesita para acabarla?
28 Wer ist aber unter euch, der einen Turm bauen will, und sitzt nicht zuvor und überschlägt die Kosten, ob er's habe, hinauszuführen?
29 For fear that if he makes a start and is not able to go on with it to the end, all who see it will be laughing at him,
29 de peur qu'après avoir posé les fondements, il ne puisse l'achever, et que tous ceux qui le verront ne se mettent à le railler,
29 Le heagla, tar éis dó bonn a leagan agus gan air a chumas é a thabhairt chun críche, go dtosódh an lucht féachana ag fonóid faoi á rá:
29 Porque después que haya puesto el fundamento, y no pueda acabarla, todos los que lo vieren, no comiencen á hacer burla de él,
29 auf daß nicht, wo er Grund gelegt hat und kann's nicht hinausführen, alle, die es sehen, fangen an, sein zu spotten,
30 And saying, This man made a start at building and is not able to make it complete.
30 en disant: Cet homme a commencé à bâtir, et il n'a pu achever?
30 ‘Thosaigh an duine seo ag tógáil agus níor chumas dó é thabhairt chun críche!’
30 Diciendo: Este hombre comenzó á edificar, y no pudo acabar.
30 und sagen: Dieser Mensch hob an zu bauen, und kann's nicht hinausführen.
31 Or what king, going to war with another king, will not first take thought if he will be strong enough, with ten thousand men, to keep off him who comes against him with twenty thousand?
31 Ou quel roi, s'il va faire la guerre à un autre roi, ne s'assied d'abord pour examiner s'il peut, avec dix mille hommes, marcher à la rencontre de celui qui vient l'attaquer avec vingt mille?
31 Nó cén rí, agus é ag dul i ngleic cogaidh le rí eile, nach suífidh síos ar dtús ag déanamh comhairle, féachaint an bhféadfaidh sé dul, líon deich míle, faoina dhéin siúd atá ag déanamh air agus fiche míle aige?
31 ¿O cuál rey, habiendo de ir á hacer guerra contra otro rey, sentándose primero no consulta si puede salir al encuentro con diez mil al que viene contra él con veinte mil?
31 Oder welcher König will sich begeben in einen Streit wider einen andern König und sitzt nicht zuvor und ratschlagt, ob er könne mit zehntausend begegnen dem, der über ihn kommt mit zwanzigtausend?
32 Or while the other is still a great distance away, he sends representatives requesting conditions of peace.
32 S'il ne le peut, tandis que cet autre roi est encore loin, il lui envoie une ambassade pour demander la paix.
32 Agus mura bhféadann, le linn dó siúd bheith i bhfad uaidh, cuireann sé teachtaí chuige ag iarraidh coinníollacha síochána.
32 De otra manera, cuando aun el otro está lejos, le ruega por la paz, enviándo le embajada.
32 Wo nicht, so schickt er Botschaft, wenn jener noch ferne ist, und bittet um Frieden.
33 And so whoever is not ready to give up all he has may not be my disciple.
33 Ainsi donc, quiconque d'entre vous ne renonce pas à tout ce qu'il possède ne peut être mon disciple.
33 A dhála sin díreach, gach duine agaibhse nach dtréigeann a mhaoin uile ní féidir dó bheith ina dheisceabal agam.
33 Así pues, cualquiera de vosotros que no renuncia á todas las cosas que posee, no puede ser mi discípulo.
33 Also muß auch ein jeglicher unter euch, der nicht absagt allem, was er hat, kann nicht mein Jünger sein.
34 For salt is good, but if the taste goes from it, of what use is it?
34 Le sel est une bonne chose; mais si le sel perd sa saveur, avec quoi l'assaisonnera-t-on?
34 Óir is maith an rud salann, ach má éiríonn an salann féin leamh, cad a dhéanfaidh anlann dó?
34 Buena es la sal; mas si aun la sal fuere desvanecida, ¿con qué se adobará?
34 Das Salz ist ein gutes Ding; wo aber das Salz dumm wird, womit wird man's würzen?
35 It is no good for the land or for the place of waste; no one has a use for it. He who has ears, let him give ear.
35 Il n'est bon ni pour la terre, ni pour le fumier; on le jette dehors. Que celui qui a des oreilles pour entendre entende.
