1 Now it came about in those days that an order went out from Caesar Augustus that there was to be a numbering of all the world.

7 And she had her first son; and folding him in linen, she put him to rest in the place where the cattle had their food, because there was no room for them in the house.
7 et elle enfanta son fils premier-né. Elle l'emmaillota, et le coucha dans une crèche, parce qu'il n'y avait pas de place pour eux dans l'hôtellerie.

7 Und sie gebar ihren ersten Sohn und wickelte ihn in Windeln und legte ihn in eine Krippe; denn sie hatten sonst keinen Raum in der Herberge.
8 And in the same country there were keepers of sheep in the fields, watching over their flock by night.
8 Il y avait, dans cette même contrée, des bergers qui passaient dans les champs les veilles de la nuit pour garder leurs troupeaux.

8 Y había pastores en la misma tierra, que velaban y guardaban las vigilias de la noche sobre su ganado.
8 Und es waren Hirten in derselben Gegend auf dem Felde bei den Hürden, die hüteten des Nachts ihre Herde.
9 And an angel of the Lord came to them, and the glory of the Lord was shining round about them: and fear came on them.
9 Et voici, un ange du Seigneur leur apparut, et la gloire du Seigneur resplendit autour d'eux. Ils furent saisis d'une grande frayeur.

10 And the angel said, Have no fear; for truly, I give you good news of great joy which will be for all the people:

11 For on this day, in the town of David, a Saviour has come to birth, who is Christ the Lord.

12 And this is the sign to you: you will see a young child folded in linen, in the place where the cattle have their food.

12 Y esto os será por señal: hallaréis al niño envuelto en pañales, echado en un pesebre.
12 Und das habt zum Zeichen: ihr werdet finden das Kind in Windeln gewickelt und in einer Krippe liegen.
13 And suddenly there was with the angel a great band of spirits from heaven, giving praise to God, and saying,

14 Glory to God in the highest, and on the earth peace among men with whom he is well pleased.

15 And when the angels had gone away from them into heaven, the keepers of the sheep said to one another, Let us go now to Beth-lehem, and see this thing which has come about, which the Lord has made clear to us.
15 Lorsque les anges les eurent quittés pour retourner au ciel, les bergers se dirent les uns aux autres: Allons jusqu'à Bethléhem, et voyons ce qui est arrivé, ce que le Seigneur nous a fait connaître.

15 Y aconteció que como los ángeles se fueron de ellos al cielo, los pastores dijeron los unos á los otros: Pasemos pues hasta Bethlehem, y veamos esto que ha sucedido, que el Señor nos ha manifestado.
15 Und da die Engel von ihnen gen Himmel fuhren, sprachen die Hirten untereinander: Laßt uns nun gehen gen Bethlehem und die Geschichte sehen, die da geschehen ist, die uns der HERR kundgetan hat.
16 And they came quickly, and saw Mary and Joseph, and the child in the place where the cattle had their food.
16 Ils y allèrent en hâte, et ils trouvèrent Marie et Joseph, et le petit enfant couché dans la crèche.

17 And when they saw it, they gave them an account of the things which had been said to them about the child.
17 Après l'avoir vu, ils racontèrent ce qui leur avait été dit au sujet de ce petit enfant.

18 And all those to whose ears it came were full of wonder at the things said by the keepers of the sheep.

19 But Mary kept all these words in her heart, and gave much thought to them.
19 Marie gardait toutes ces choses, et les repassait dans son coeur.

19 Mas María guardaba todas estas cosas, confiriéndolas en su corazón.

20 Then the keepers of the sheep went back, giving glory and praise to God for all the things which had come to their ears and which they had seen, as it had been said to them.
20 Et les bergers s'en retournèrent, glorifiant et louant Dieu pour tout ce qu'ils avaient entendu et vu, et qui était conforme à ce qui leur avait été annoncé.

21 And when, after eight days, the time came for his circumcision, he was named Jesus, the name which the angel had given to him before his birth.
21 Le huitième jour, auquel l'enfant devait être circoncis, étant arrivé, on lui donna le nom de Jésus, nom qu'avait indiqué l'ange avant qu'il fût conçu dans le sein de sa mère.

21 Y pasados los ocho días para circuncidar al niño, llamaron su nombre JESUS; el cual le fué puesto por el ángel antes que él fuese concebido en el vientre.
21 Und da acht Tage um waren, daß das Kind beschnitten würde, da ward sein Name genannt Jesus, welcher genannt war von dem Engel, ehe denn er in Mutterleibe empfangen ward.
22 And when the necessary days for making them clean by the law of Moses had come to an end, they took him to Jerusalem to give him to the Lord
22 Et, quand les jours de leur purification furent accomplis, selon la loi de Moïse, Joseph et Marie le portèrent à Jérusalem, pour le présenter au Seigneur, -

22 Y como se cumplieron los días de la purificación de ella, conforme á la ley de Moisés, le trajeron á Jerusalem para presentarle al Señor,
22 Und da die Tage ihrer Reinigung nach dem Gesetz Mose's kamen, brachten sie ihn gen Jerusalem, auf daß sie ihn darstellten dem HERRN
23 (As it says in the law of the Lord, Every mother's first male child is to be holy to the Lord),
23 suivant ce qui est écrit dans la loi du Seigneur: Tout mâle premier-né sera consacré au Seigneur, -

24 And to make an offering, as it is ordered in the law of the Lord, of two doves or other young birds.
24 et pour offrir en sacrifice deux tourterelles ou deux jeunes pigeons, comme cela est prescrit dans la loi du Seigneur.

24 und das sie gäben das Opfer, wie es gesagt ist im Gesetz des HERRN: "Ein Paar Turteltauben oder zwei junge Tauben."
25 And there was then in Jerusalem a man whose name was Simeon; and he was an upright man, fearing God and waiting for the comfort of Israel: and the Holy Spirit was on him.
25 Et voici, il y avait à Jérusalem un homme appelé Siméon. Cet homme était juste et pieux, il attendait la consolation d'Israël, et l'Esprit Saint était sur lui.
25 Bhí fear in Iarúsailéim darbh ainm Simeon, agus bhí an fear seo fíréanta diaga, ag súil le sólás Iosrael, agus bhí an Spiorad Naomh ina luí air.
25 Y he aquí, había un hombre en Jerusalem, llamado Simeón, y este hombre, justo y pío, esperaba la consolación de Israel: y el Espíritu Santo era sobre él.
25 Und siehe, ein Mensch war zu Jerusalem, mit Namen Simeon; und derselbe Mensch war fromm und gottesfürchtig und wartete auf den Trost Israels, und der heilige Geist war in ihm.
26 And he had knowledge, through the Holy Spirit, that he would not see death till he had seen the Lord's Christ.
26 Il avait été divinement averti par le Saint Esprit qu'il ne mourrait point avant d'avoir vu le Christ du Seigneur.

26 Y había recibido respuesta del Espíritu Santo, que no vería la muerte antes que viese al Cristo del Señor.

27 And full of the Spirit he came into the Temple; and when the father and mother came in with the child Jesus, to do with him what was ordered by the law,

27 Y vino por Espíritu al templo. Y cuando metieron al niño Jesús sus padres en el templo, para hacer por él conforme á la costumbre de la ley.
27 Und er kam aus Anregen des Geistes in den Tempel. Und da die Eltern das Kind Jesus in den Tempel brachten, daß sie für ihn täten, wie man pflegt nach dem Gesetz,
28 Then he took him in his arms and gave praise to God and said,

31 Which you have made ready before the face of all nations;

33 And his father and mother were full of wonder at the things which were said about him.
33 Son père et sa mère étaient dans l'admiration des choses qu'on disait de lui.

34 And Simeon gave them his blessing and said to Mary, his mother, See, this child will be the cause of the downfall and the lifting up of great numbers of people in Israel, and he will be a sign against which hard words will be said;
34 Siméon les bénit, et dit à Marie, sa mère: Voici, cet enfant est destiné à amener la chute et le relèvement de plusieurs en Israël, et à devenir un signe qui provoquera la contradiction,
34 Agus bheannaigh Simeon iad agus dúirt le Muire a mháthair: “Feach, is dán dó seo bheith ina thrúig leagtha agus éirithe dá lán in Iosrael agus ina chomhartha a shéanfar -
34 Y los bendijo Simeón, y dijo á su madre María: He aquí, éste es puesto para caída y para levantamiento de muchos en Israel; y para señal á la que será contradicho;
34 Und Simeon segnete sie und sprach zu Maria, seiner Mutter: Siehe, dieser wird gesetzt zu einem Fall und Auferstehen vieler in Israel und zu einem Zeichen, dem widersprochen wird
35 (And a sword will go through your heart;) so that the secret thoughts of men may come to light.
35 et à toi-même une épée te transpercera l'âme, afin que les pensées de beaucoup de coeurs soient dévoilées.

35 Y una espada traspasará tu alma de ti misma, para que sean manifestados los pensamientos de muchos corazones.
35 (und es wird ein Schwert durch deine Seele dringen), auf daß vieler Herzen Gedanken offenbar werden.
36 And there was one, Anna, a woman prophet, the daughter of Phanuel, of the family of Asher (she was very old, and after seven years of married life
36 Il y avait aussi une prophétesse, Anne, fille de Phanuel, de la tribu d'Aser. Elle était fort avancée en âge, et elle avait vécu sept ans avec son mari depuis sa virginité.
36 Agus bhí banfháidh ann freisin, Anna iníon Fanuéil, de threibh Áiséar, í anonn i mblianta móra: mhair sí seacht mbliana ag a fear céile tar éis a hóghachta.
36 Estaba también allí Ana, profetisa, hija de Phanuel, de la tribu de Aser; la cual había venido en grande edad, y había vivido con su marido siete años desde su virginidad;
36 Und es war eine Prophetin, Hanna, eine Tochter Phanuels, vom Geschlecht Asser; die war wohl betagt und hatte gelebt sieben Jahre mit ihrem Manne nach ihrer Jungfrauschaft
37 She had been a widow for eighty-four years); she was in the Temple at all times, worshipping with prayers and going without food, night and day.
37 Restée veuve, et âgée de quatre vingt-quatre ans, elle ne quittait pas le temple, et elle servait Dieu nuit et jour dans le jeûne et dans la prière.

37 Y era viuda de hasta ochenta y cuatro años, que no se apartaba del templo, sirviendo de noche y de día con ayunos y oraciones.
37 und war nun eine Witwe bei vierundachtzig Jahren; die kam nimmer vom Tempel, diente Gott mit Fasten und Beten Tag und Nacht.
38 And coming up at that time, she gave praise to God, talking of him to all those who were waiting for the freeing of Jerusalem.
38 Étant survenue, elle aussi, à cette même heure, elle louait Dieu, et elle parlait de Jésus à tous ceux qui attendaient la délivrance de Jérusalem.
38 Tháinig sí i láthair an uair sin féin, agus thug moladh agus buíochas do Dhia; agus labhair sí mar gheall air le cách a bhí ag súil le Iarúsailéim a fhuascailt.
38 Y ésta, sobreviniendo en la misma hora, juntamente confesaba al Señor, y hablaba de él á todos los que esperaban la redención en Jerusalem.
38 Die trat auch hinzu zu derselben Stunde und pries den HERRN und redete von ihm zu allen, die da auf die Erlösung zu Jerusalem warteten.
39 And when they had done all the things which were ordered by the law of the Lord, they went back to Galilee, to Nazareth, the town where they were living.
39 Lorsqu'ils eurent accompli tout ce qu'ordonnait la loi du Seigneur, Joseph et Marie retournèrent en Galilée, à Nazareth, leur ville.
39 Nuair a bhí gach ní curtha i gcrích acu de réir dhlí an Tiarna, d'fhill siad ar an nGailíl, go dtí a gcathair féin Nazarat.
39 Mas como cumplieron todas las cosas según la ley del Señor, se volvieron á Galilea, á su ciudad de Nazaret.
39 Und da sie alles vollendet hatten nach dem Gesetz des HERRN, kehrten sie wieder nach Galiläa zu ihrer Stadt Nazareth.
40 And the child became tall and strong and full of wisdom, and the grace of God was on him.
40 Or, l'enfant croissait et se fortifiait. Il était rempli de sagesse, et la grâce de Dieu était sur lui.

40 Y el niño crecía, y fortalecíase, y se henchía de sabiduría; y la gracia de Dios era sobre él.
40 Aber das Kind wuchs und ward stark im Geist, voller Weisheit, und Gottes Gnade war bei ihm.
41 And every year his father and mother went to Jerusalem at the feast of the Passover.

43 And when the days of the feast came to an end and they were going back, the boy Jesus was still in Jerusalem, but they had no knowledge of it:

43 Und da die Tage vollendet waren und sie wieder nach Hause gingen, blieb das Kind Jesus zu Jerusalem, und seine Eltern wußten's nicht.
44 And in the belief that he was with some of their number, they went a day's journey; and after looking for him among their relations and friends,

47 And all to whose ears it came were full of wonder at his knowledge and the answers which he gave.

48 And when they saw him they were surprised, and his mother said to him, Son, why have you done this to us? see, your father and I have been looking for you with sorrow.
48 Quand ses parents le virent, ils furent saisis d'étonnement, et sa mère lui dit: Mon enfant, pourquoi as-tu agi de la sorte avec nous? Voici, ton père et moi, nous te cherchions avec angoisse.

48 Y cuando le vieron, se maravillaron; y díjole su madre: Hijo, ¿por qué nos has hecho así? He aquí, tu padre y yo te hemos buscado con dolor.
48 Und da sie ihn sahen, entsetzten sie sich. Seine Mutter aber sprach zu ihm: Mein Sohn, warum hast du uns das getan? Siehe, dein Vater und ich haben dich mit Schmerzen gesucht.
49 And he said to them, Why were you looking for me? was it not clear to you that my right place was in my Father's house?
49 Il leur dit: Pourquoi me cherchiez-vous? Ne saviez-vous pas qu'il faut que je m'occupe des affaires de mon Père?
49 Agus dúirt sé leo: “Cad chuige a mbeadh sibh do mo lorg? Nach raibh a fhios agaibh gur i dteach m'Athar nárbh fholáir dom bheith?”
49 Entonces él les dice: ¿Qué hay? ¿por qué me buscabais? ¿No sabíais que en los negocios de mi Padre me conviene estar?
49 Und er sprach zu ihnen: Was ist's, daß ihr mich gesucht habt? Wisset ihr nicht, daß ich sein muß in dem, das meines Vaters ist?
50 And his words seemed strange to them.

50 Und sie verstanden das Wort nicht, das er mit ihnen redete.
51 And he went down with them and came to Nazareth; and did as he was ordered: and his mother kept all these words in her heart.
51 Puis il descendit avec eux pour aller à Nazareth, et il leur était soumis. Sa mère gardait toutes ces choses dans son coeur.

51 Y descendió con ellos, y vino á Nazaret, y estaba sujeto á ellos. Y su madre guardaba todas estas cosas en su corazón.
51 Und er ging mit ihnen hinab und kam gen Nazareth und war ihnen untertan. Und seine Mutter behielt alle diese Worte in ihrem Herzen.
52 And Jesus was increasing in wisdom and in years, and in grace before God and men.
52 Et Jésus croissait en sagesse, en stature, et en grâce, devant Dieu et devant les hommes.
