Mark 11

1 And he gave them teaching in the form of stories. A man had a vine-garden planted, and put a wall about it, and made a place for crushing out the wine, and put up a tower, and let it out to field-workers, and went into another country.

1 Thosaigh sé ar labhairt leo i bparabail. “Rinne fear fíonghort a phlandáil, fál a chur timpeall air, cantaoir a thochailt ann agus túr a thógáil, chuir ar cíos ansin chun curadóirí é, agus chuaigh ar an gcoigríoch.

2 And when the time came, he sent a servant to get from the workmen some of the fruit of the garden.

2 Nuair a bhí an séasúr ann chuir sé seirbhíseach uaidh go dtí na curadóirí chun a chion de thoradh an fhíonghoirt a fháil.

3 And they took him, and gave him blows, and sent him away with nothing.

4 And again he sent to them another servant; and they gave him wounds on the head, and were very cruel to him.

5 And he sent another; and they put him to death: and a number of others, whipping some, and putting some to death.

5 Agus chuir sé duine eile; mharaigh siad eisean; agus mórán eile; bhuail siad cuid acu, mharaigh siad cuid eile.

6 He still had one, a dearly loved son: he sent him last to them, saying, They will have respect for my son.

6 Bhí aon duine amháin aige fós, a mhac muirneach. Chuir sé é sin chucu ar deireadh, á rá: ‘Tabharfaidh siad ómós do mo mhac.’

7 But those workmen said among themselves, This is he who will one day be the owner of the property; come, let us put him to death, and the heritage will be ours.

7 Ach dúirt na curadóirí úd le chéile: ‘Is é seo an t‑oidhre; seo, maraímis é, agus beidh an oidhreacht againn.’

8 And they took him and put him to death, pushing his body out of the garden.

8 Agus rug siad air, mharaigh é, agus chaith amach as an bhfíonghort é.

9 What then will the master of the garden do? He will come and put the workmen to death, and will give the garden into the hands of others.

9 Anois, cad a dhéanfaidh máistir an fhíonghoirt? Tiocfaidh sé agus cuirfidh sé na curadóirí chun báis, agus tabharfaidh sé an fíonghort do dhaoine eile.

10 Have you not seen this which is in the Writings: The stone which the builders put on one side, the same was made the chief stone of the building:

10 N'avez-vous pas lu cette parole de l'Écriture: La pierre qu'ont rejetée ceux qui bâtissaient Est devenue la principale de l'angle;

10 Nár léigh sibh an scrioptúr seo: ‘An chloch dár dhiúltaigh na saoir, rinneadh di ceann an chúinne;

10 ¿Ni aun esta Escritura habéis leído: La piedra que desecharon los que edificaban, Esta es puesta por cabeza de esquina;

11 This was the Lord's doing, and it is a wonder in our eyes?

11 obair an Tiarna é seo agus is iontach inár súile é.’ ”

12 And they made attempts to take him; but they were in fear of the people, because they saw that the story was against them; and they went away from him.

12 Agus ba fhonn leo é a ghabháil, ach bhí eagla orthu roimh an slua. Bhí fhios acu gur chucu féin a bhí sé nuair a labhair sé an parabal.

13 Then they sent to him certain of the Pharisees and the Herodians, so that they might make use of his words to take him by a trick.

14 And when they had come, they said to him, Master, we are certain that you are true, and have no fear of anyone: you have no respect for a man's position, but you are teaching the true way of God: Is it right to give taxes to Caesar or not?

An dleathach cáin a íoc le Céasar nó an mídhleathach?

¿Daremos, ó no daremos?

15 Are we to give or not to give? But he, conscious of their false hearts, said to them, Why do you put me to the test? give me a penny, so that I may see it.

15 Ach bhí a fhios ag Íosa an fhimíneacht a bhí iontu agus dúirt sé leo: “Cad ab áil libh ag baint trialach asam? Tugaigí chugam déanar go bhfeicfidh mé.”

16 And they gave him one. And he said to them, Whose is this image and name on it? And they said to him, Caesar's.

Dúirt sé leo: “Cé hé arb é seo a íomhá agus a inscríbhinn?”

17 And Jesus said to them, Give to Caesar the things which are Caesar's, and to God the things which are God's. And they were full of wonder at him.

17 Da antwortete Jesus und sprach zu ihnen: So gebet dem Kaiser, was des Kaisers ist, und Gott, was Gottes ist! Und sie verwunderten sich über ihn.

18 And there came to him Sadducees, who say there is no coming back from the dead; and they put a question to him, saying,

18 Ansin tháinig chuige Sadúcaigh - iad seo a shéanann an t‑aiséirí a bheith ann - agus chuir siad ceist air:

19 Master, in the law Moses says, If a man's brother comes to his end, and has a wife still living and no child, it is right for his brother to take his wife, and get a family for his brother.

19 “A Mháistir,” ar siad, “scríobh Maois dúinn: ‘Má fhaigheann deartháir duine bás agus go bhfágann sé bean, ach nach bhfágann sé clann, go bpósfadh a dheartháir an bhaintreach, agus go dtógfadh sé sliocht dá dheartháir.’

20 There were seven brothers: and the first took a wife, and at his death there were no offspring;

20 Or, il y avait sept frères.

Phós an chéad duine bean agus fuair sé bás gan sliocht a fhágáil.

20 Fueron siete hermanos: y el primero tomó mujer, y muriendo, no dejó simiente;

21 And the second took her, and at his death there were no offspring; and the third the same:

21 Phós an dara duine an bhaintreach ansin agus fuair sé bás gan sliocht a fhágáil; agus an tríú duine mar an gcéanna;

22 And all the seven had no seed. Last of all the woman herself came to her death.

22 níor fhág an seachtar aon sliocht. An bhean féin is déanaí a fuair bás.

23 In the future life, when they come back from the dead, whose wife will she be? for the seven had her for a wife.

23 San aiséirí, nuair a éireoidh siad arís, cé acu a mbeidh an bhean ina bean chéile aige, óir bhí sí ina bean chéile ag an seachtar?”

24 Jesus said to them, Is not this the reason for your error, that you have no knowledge of the holy Writings or of the power of God?

24 Dúirt Íosa leo: “Nach é atá do bhur gcur amú, nach eol daoibh na scrioptúir ná cumhacht Dé?

25 When they come back from the dead, they do not get married, but are like the angels in heaven.

25 Óir nuair a éireoidh siad ó mhairbh, ní bhíonn fir ag pósadh ná mná á dtabhairt le pósadh, ach bíonn siad ar nós aingil Dé ar neamh.

26 But as to the dead coming back to life; have you not seen in the book of Moses, about the burning thorn-tree, how God said to him, I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob?

26 Maidir leis na mairbh a éirí arís, nár léigh sibh i Leabhar Mhaois, sa dréacht faoin Tor, conas mar a labhair Dia leis agus a dúirt: ‘Is mise Dia Abrahám, agus Dia Íosác, agus Dia Iacóib.’

27 He is not the God of the dead, but of the living: you are greatly in error.

An Phríomhaithne

28 And one of the scribes came, and hearing their argument together, and seeing that he had given them a good answer, put the question to him, Which law is the first of all?

29 Jesus said in answer, The first is, Give ear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord;

29 Jésus répondit: Voici le premier: Écoute, Israël, le Seigneur, notre Dieu, est l'unique Seigneur;

29 D'fhreagair Íosa: “Seo í an chéad cheann: ‘Cluin, a Iosrael, an Tiarna ár nDia is aon Tiarna ann

29 Jesus aber antwortete ihm: Das vornehmste Gebot vor allen Geboten ist das: "Höre Israel, der HERR, unser Gott, ist ein einiger Gott;

30 And you are to have love for the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.

30 agus gráóidh tú do Thiarna Dia ó do chroí go hiomlán, agus ó d'anam go hiomlán agus ó d'aigne go hiomlán agus ó do neart go hiomlán.’

31 The second is this, Have love for your neighbour as for yourself. There is no other law greater than these.

31 Seo í an dara ceann: ‘Gráóidh tú do chomharsa mar thú féin.’ Níl aithne eile is mó ná iadsan.”

32 And the scribe said to him, Truly, Master, you have well said that he is one, and there is no other but he:

32 Dúirt an scríobhaí leis: “Maith mar a labhair tú, a Mháistir. Dúirt tú le fírinne gur aon é agus nach bhfuil aon neach eile ann ach é.

32 Entonces el escriba le dijo: Bien, Maestro, verdad has dicho, que uno es Dios, y no hay otro fuera de él;

33 And to have love for him with all the heart, and with all the mind, and with all the strength, and to have the same love for his neighbour as for himself, is much more than all forms of offerings.

33 É a ghráú ón gcroí go hiomlán, ón tuiscint go hiomlán, agus ón neart go hiomlán, agus an chomharsa a ghráú mar an duine féin, is mó sin go mór ná na híobairtí dóite agus na hofrálacha go léir.”

34 And when Jesus saw that he gave a wise answer, he said to him, You are not far from the kingdom of God. And every man after that was in fear of questioning him any more.

34 Nuair a chonaic Íosa gur labhair sé go ciallmhar, dúirt sé leis: “Ní fada thú ó ríocht Dé.” Ní raibh sé de mhisneach ag aon duine ceist a chur air as sin amach. Conas is Mac do Dháiví Críost

35 And Jesus, when he was teaching in the Temple, said, How do the scribes say that the Christ is the Son of David?

35 Fad is a bhí Íosa ag teagasc sa Teampall d'fhreagair sé agus dúirt: “Conas is féidir leis na scríobhaithe a rá gur Mac do Dháiví an Críost?

36 David himself said in the Holy Spirit, The Lord said to my Lord, Be seated at my right hand, till I put those who are against you under your feet.

36 Is é Dáiví féin a dúirt faoi luí an Spioraid Naoimh: ‘Dúirt an Tiarna le mo Thiarna: Suigh ar mo dheis, nó go gcuirfidh mé do naimhde mar stól faoi do chosa.’

37 David himself gives him the name of Lord; and how then is he his son? And the common people gave ear to him gladly.

37 “Glaonn Dáiví féin Tiarna air, agus cad a bheir ina mhac dó é?” D'éist an slua mór leis le háthas.

38 And in his teaching he said, Be on your watch against the scribes, whose pleasure it is to go about in long robes and be respected in the market-places,

38 Il leur disait dans son enseignement: Gardez-vous des scribes, qui aiment à se promener en robes longues, et à être salués dans les places publiques;

38 Dúirt sé ina theagasc: “Seachnaígí na scríobhaithe, an dream arb áil leo bheith ag siúl timpeall sna róbaí fada, agus go mbeifí ag beannú dóibh sna háiteanna poiblí,

39 And to have the chief seats in the Synagogues and the first places at feasts;

39 qui recherchent les premiers sièges dans les synagogues, et les premières places dans les festins;

39 agus na príomhshuíocháin acu sna sionagóga, agus na príomhthoilg ag na fleánna;

39 Y las primeras sillas en las sinagogas, y los primeros asientos en las cenas;

39 und sitzen gern obenan in den Schulen und über Tisch beim Gastmahl;

40 Who take away the property of widows, and before the eyes of men make long prayers; these will be judged more hardly.

40 iadsan na daoine a ídíonn tithe na mbaintreach, ar scáth a bheith ag déanamh urnaithe fada. Is daoire an bhreith a gheobhaidh siad.”

41 And he took a seat by the place where the money was kept, and saw how the people put money into the boxes: and a number who had wealth put in much.

Plusieurs riches mettaient beaucoup.

41 Shuigh Íosa síos os comhair an chiste agus bhí sé ag faire ar an slua ag cur airgid isteach sa chiste, agus chuir a lán de na daoine saibhre mórán isteach ann.

42 And there came a poor widow, and she put in two little bits of money, which make a farthing.

43 And he made his disciples come to him, and said to them, Truly I say to you, This poor widow has put in more than all those who are putting money into the box:

43 Alors Jésus, ayant appelé ses disciples, leur dit: Je vous le dis en vérité, cette pauvre veuve a donné plus qu'aucun de ceux qui ont mis dans le tronc;

43 Ghlaoigh sé chuige a dheisceabail, agus dúirt sé leo: “Deirim libh go fírinneach gur mó a chaith an bhaintreach bhocht seo isteach ná mar a chaith aon duine eile dár chaith ann.

44 Because they all put in something out of what they had no need for; but she out of her need put in all she had, even all her living.

44 Óir is den iomarca a bhí acu a chaith an chuid eile isteach, ach chaith sise isteach as a huireasa a raibh aici go léir, a cuid den saol.”
