1 Now when it was morning, all the chief priests and those in authority took thought together with the purpose of putting Jesus to death.
1 Dès que le matin fut venu, tous les principaux sacrificateurs et les anciens du peuple tinrent conseil contre Jésus, pour le faire mourir.

1 Des Morgens aber hielten alle Hohenpriester und die Ältesten des Volks einen Rat über Jesus, daß sie ihn töteten.
2 And they put cords on him and took him away, and gave him up to Pilate, the ruler.
2 Après l'avoir lié, ils l'emmenèrent, et le livrèrent à Ponce Pilate, le gouverneur.

2 Y le llevaron atado, y le entregaron á Poncio Pilato presidente.

3 Then Judas, who was false to him, seeing that he was to be put to death, in his regret took back the thirty bits of silver to the chief priests and those in authority,
3 Alors Judas, qui l'avait livré, voyant qu'il était condamné, se repentit, et rapporta les trente pièces d'argent aux principaux sacrificateurs et aux anciens,

3 Entonces Judas, el que le había entregado, viendo que era condenado, volvió arrepentido las treinta piezas de plata á los príncipes de los sacerdotes y á los ancianos,
3 Da das sah Judas, der ihn verraten hatte, daß er verdammt war zum Tode, gereute es ihn, und brachte wieder die dreißig Silberlinge den Hohenpriestern und den Ältesten
4 Saying, I have done wrong in giving into your hands an upright man. But they said, What is that to us? it is your business.
4 en disant: J'ai péché, en livrant le sang innocent. Ils répondirent: Que nous importe? Cela te regarde.
4 ag rá: “Ba pheaca dom fuil neamhchiontach a bhrath.” Ach dúirt siad sin: “Cad é sin dúinne? Féach féin chuige.”
4 Diciendo: Yo he pecado entregando la sangre inocente. Mas ellos dijeron: ¿Qué se nos da á nosotros? Viéras lo tú.
4 und sprach: Ich habe übel getan, daß ich unschuldig Blut verraten habe.
5 And he put down the silver in the Temple and went out, and put himself to death by hanging.
5 Judas jeta les pièces d'argent dans le temple, se retira, et alla se pendre.
5 Ach rad sé uaidh na píosaí airgid isteach sa sanctóir agus d'fhág an áit, d'imigh sé leis agus chroch é féin.
5 Y arrojando las piezas de plata en el templo, partióse; y fué, y se ahorcó.
5 Sie sprachen: Was geht uns das an? Da siehe du zu! Und er warf die Silberlinge in den Tempel, hob sich davon, ging hin und erhängte sich selbst.
6 And the chief priests took the silver and said, It is not right to put it in the Temple store for it is the price of blood.
6 Les principaux sacrificateurs les ramassèrent, et dirent: Il n'est pas permis de les mettre dans le trésor sacré, puisque c'est le prix du sang.
6 Thóg na hardsagairt na píosaí airgid agus dúirt siad: “Ní dleathach iad do chur i gciste an Teampaill, mar is luach fola iad.”
6 Y los príncipes de los sacerdotes, tomando las piezas de plata, dijeron: No es lícito echarlas en el tesoro de los dones, porque es precio de sangre.
6 Aber die Hohenpriester nahmen die Silberlinge und sprachen: Es taugt nicht, daß wir sie in den Gotteskasten legen, denn es ist Blutgeld.
7 And they made a decision to get with the silver the potter's field, as a place for the dead of other countries.
7 Et, après en avoir délibéré, ils achetèrent avec cet argent le champ du potier, pour la sépulture des étrangers.
7 Tar éis dóibh an scéal a phlé, cheannaigh siad leis an airgead Gort an Chriadóra mar reilig do strainséirí.
7 Mas habido consejo, compraron con ellas el campo del alfarero, por sepultura para los extranjeros.
7 Sie hielten aber einen Rat und kauften den Töpfersacker darum zum Begräbnis der Pilger.
8 For this cause that field was named, The field of blood, to this day.
8 C'est pourquoi ce champ a été appelé champ du sang, jusqu'à ce jour.
8 Sin é a d'fhág Gort na Fola mar ainm ar an ngort sin go dtí an lá inniu féin.
8 Por lo cual fué llamado aquel campo, Campo de sangre, hasta el día de hoy.
8 Daher ist dieser Acker genannt der Blutacker bis auf den heutigen Tag.
9 Then came true that which was said by Jeremiah the prophet, And they took the thirty bits of silver, the price of him who was valued by the children of Israel;
9 Alors s'accomplit ce qui avait été annoncé par Jérémie, le prophète: Ils ont pris les trente pièces d'argent, la valeur de celui qui a été estimé, qu'on a estimé de la part des enfants d'Israël;

9 Entonces se cumplió lo que fué dicho por el profeta Jeremías, que dijo: Y tomaron las treinta piezas de plata, precio del apreciado, que fué apreciado por los hijos de Israel;

10 And they gave them for the potter's field, as I had word from the Lord.

11 And Jesus was before the ruler, who put a question to him, Are you the King of the Jews? And Jesus said to him, You say so.
11 Jésus comparut devant le gouverneur. Le gouverneur l'interrogea, en ces termes: Es-tu le roi des Juifs? Jésus lui répondit: Tu le dis.

12 But when the chief priests and those in authority made statements against him, he gave no answer.

13 Then says Pilate to him, Do you give no attention to what their witnesses say against you?
13 Alors Pilate lui dit: N'entends-tu pas de combien de choses ils t'accusent?
13 Dúirt Pioláit leis ansin: “Nach gcluineann tú a bhfuil d'fhianaise acu á thabhairt i d'aghaidh?”
13 Pilato entonces le dice: ¿No oyes cuántas cosas testifican contra tí?
13 Da sprach Pilatus zu ihm: Hörst du nicht, wie hart sie dich verklagen?
14 And he gave him no answer, not even a word: so that the ruler was greatly surprised.
14 Et Jésus ne lui donna de réponse sur aucune parole, ce qui étonna beaucoup le gouverneur.
14 Ach freagra níor thug sé ar phointe ar bith, rud a chuir ardionadh ar an ngobharnóir.
14 Y no le respondió ni una palabra; de tal manera que el presidente se maravillaba mucho,

15 Now at the feast it was the way for the ruler to let free to the people one prisoner, at their selection.
15 A chaque fête, le gouverneur avait coutume de relâcher un prisonnier, celui que demandait la foule.
15 Ach ba ghnáthbhéas don ghobharnóir, i ngach féile, go scaoilfeadh sé saor chun an tslua cibé príosúnach ba rogha leo.
15 Y en el día de la fiesta acostumbraba el presidente soltar al pueblo un preso, cual quisiesen.
15 Auf das Fest aber hatte der Landpfleger die Gewohnheit, dem Volk einen Gefangenen loszugeben, welchen sie wollten.
16 And they had then an important prisoner, whose name was Barabbas.
16 Ils avaient alors un prisonnier fameux, nommé Barabbas.
16 Bhí príosúnach iomráiteach ar láimh an uair sin arbh ainm dó Barabas.
16 Y tenían entonces un preso famoso que se llamaba Barrabás.
16 Er hatte aber zu der Zeit einen Gefangenen, einen sonderlichen vor anderen, der hieß Barabbas.
17 So when they came together, Pilate said to them, Whom will you have? Barabbas, or Jesus, who is named Christ?
17 Comme ils étaient assemblés, Pilate leur dit: Lequel voulez-vous que je vous relâche, Barabbas, ou Jésus, qu'on appelle Christ?
17 Mar sin, nuair a bhí siad cruinnithe le chéile dúirt Pioláit leo: “Cé acu ba rogha libh mé a scaoileadh chugaibh, Barabas, nó Íosa ar a dtugtar an Críost?” -

17 Und da sie versammelt waren, sprach Pilatus zu ihnen: Welchen wollt ihr, daß ich euch losgebe? Barabbas oder Jesus, von dem gesagt wird, er sei Christus?
18 For he saw that for envy they had given him up.
18 Car il savait que c'était par envie qu'ils avaient livré Jésus.

18 Porque sabía que por envidia le habían entregado.
18 Denn er wußte wohl, daß sie ihn aus Neid überantwortet hatten.
19 And while he was on the judge's seat, his wife sent to him, saying, Have nothing to do with that upright man, for I have had much trouble this day in a dream because of him.
19 Pendant qu'il était assis sur le tribunal, sa femme lui fit dire: Qu'il n'y ait rien entre toi et ce juste; car aujourd'hui j'ai beaucoup souffert en songe à cause de lui.
19 Ach le linn dó bheith ina shuí breithimh, chuir a bhean scéala chuige: “Scaoil tharat an fear cóir seo gan baint leis, óir ba mhór í m'fhulaingt i mbrionglóid inniu mar gheall air.”
19 Y estando él sentado en el tribunal, su mujer envió á él, diciendo: No tengas que ver con aquel justo; porque hoy he padecido muchas cosas en sueños por causa de él.
19 Und da er auf dem Richtstuhl saß, schickte sein Weib zu ihm und ließ ihm sagen: Habe du nichts zu schaffen mit diesem Gerechten; ich habe heute viel erlitten im Traum seinetwegen.
20 Now the chief priests and those in authority got the people to make request for Barabbas, and for Jesus to be put to death.
20 Les principaux sacrificateurs et les anciens persuadèrent à la foule de demander Barabbas, et de faire périr Jésus.
20 Ach d'áitigh na hardsagairt agus na seanóirí ar na sluaite Barabas a iarraidh agus Íosa a mhilleadh.
20 Mas los príncipes de los sacerdotes y los ancianos, persuadieron al pueblo que pidiese á Barrabás, y á Jesús matase.
20 Aber die Hohenpriester und die Ältesten überredeten das Volk, daß sie um Barabbas bitten sollten und Jesus umbrächten.
21 But the ruler made answer and said to them, Which of the two is it your pleasure that I let go free? And they said, Barabbas.
21 Le gouverneur prenant la parole, leur dit: Lequel des deux voulez-vous que je vous relâche? Ils répondirent: Barabbas.
21 Labhair an gobharnóir leo: “Cé acu den bheirt is rogha libh mé a scaoileadh chugaibh?” “Barabas!” ar siad.
21 Y respondiendo el presidente les dijo: ¿Cuál de los dos queréis que os suelte? Y ellos dijeron: á Barrabás.
21 Da antwortete nun der Landpfleger und sprach zu ihnen: Welchen wollt ihr unter diesen zweien, den ich euch soll losgeben? Sie sprachen: Barabbas.
22 Pilate says to them, What, then, am I to do with Jesus, who is named Christ? They all say, Let him be put to death on the cross.
22 Pilate leur dit: Que ferai-je donc de Jésus, qu'on appelle Christ? Tous répondirent: Qu'il soit crucifié!
22 Dúirt Pioláit leo: “Más ea, cad a dhéanfaidh mé le hÍosa ar a dtugtar an Críost?” Dúirt siad: “Céastar é!”
22 Pilato les dijo: ¿Qué pues haré de Jesús que se dice el Cristo? Dícenle todos: Sea crucificado.
22 Pilatus sprach zu ihnen: Was soll ich denn machen mit Jesus, von dem gesagt wird er sei Christus? Sie sprachen alle: Laß ihn kreuzigen!
23 And he said, Why, what evil has he done? But they gave loud cries, saying, To the cross with him!
23 Le gouverneur dit: Mais quel mal a-t-il fait? Et ils crièrent encore plus fort: Qu'il soit crucifié!

23 Der Landpfleger sagte: Was hat er denn Übles getan? Sie schrieen aber noch mehr und sprachen: Laß ihn kreuzigen!
24 So when Pilate saw that he was able to do nothing, but that trouble was working up, he took water and, washing his hands before the people, said, The blood of this upright man is not on my hands: you are responsible.
24 Pilate, voyant qu'il ne gagnait rien, mais que le tumulte augmentait, prit de l'eau, se lava les mains en présence de la foule, et dit: Je suis innocent du sang de ce juste. Cela vous regarde.

24 Y viendo Pilato que nada adelantaba, antes se hacía más alboroto, tomando agua se lavó las manos delante del pueblo, diciendo: Inocente soy yo de la sangre de este justo veréis lo vosotros.
24 Da aber Pilatus sah, daß er nichts schaffte, sondern daß ein viel größer Getümmel ward, nahm er Wasser und wusch die Hände vor dem Volk und sprach: Ich bin unschuldig an dem Blut dieses Gerechten, sehet ihr zu!
25 And all the people made answer and said, Let his blood be on us, and on our children.
25 Et tout le peuple répondit: Que son sang retombe sur nous et sur nos enfants!

25 Y respondiendo todo el pueblo, dijo: Su sangre sea sobre nosotros, y sobre nuestros hijos.

26 Then he let Barabbas go free: but after having Jesus whipped, he gave him up to be put to death on the cross.
26 Alors Pilate leur relâcha Barabbas; et, après avoir fait battre de verges Jésus, il le livra pour être crucifié.

26 Entonces les soltó á Barrabás: y habiendo azotado á Jesús, le entregó para ser crucificado.

27 Then the ruler's armed men took Jesus into the open square, and got all their band together.

28 And they took off his clothing, and put on him a red robe.
28 Ils lui ôtèrent ses vêtements, et le couvrirent d'un manteau écarlate.
28 Bhain siad de a chuid éadaigh agus ghléas siad i bhfallaing chraorag é:
28 Y desnudándole, le echaron encima un manto de grana;
28 und zogen ihn aus und legten ihm einen Purpurmantel an
29 And they made a crown of thorns and put it on his head, and put a rod in his right hand, and they went down on their knees before him, and made sport of him, saying, Long life to the King of the Jews.
29 Ils tressèrent une couronne d'épines, qu'ils posèrent sur sa tête, et ils lui mirent un roseau dans la main droite; puis, s'agenouillant devant lui, ils le raillaient, en disant: Salut, roi des Juifs!
29 rinne siad coróin a fhí de dheilgneach agus í a bhualadh ar a cheann agus giolcach a chur ina láimh dheis, agus teacht ar a nglúine os a chomhair ag fonóid faoi ag rá: “Sé do bheatha, a Rí na nGiúdach!”
29 Y pusieron sobre su cabeza una corona tejida de espinas, y una caña en su mano derecha; é hincando la rodilla delante de él, le burlaban, diciendo: ¡Salve, Rey de los Judíos!
29 und flochten eine Dornenkrone und setzten sie auf sein Haupt und ein Rohr in seine rechte Hand und beugten die Kniee vor ihm und verspotteten ihn und sprachen: Gegrüßet seist du, der Juden König!
30 And they put shame on him, and gave him blows on the head with the rod.
30 Et ils crachaient contre lui, prenaient le roseau, et frappaient sur sa tête.
30 Agus chaith siad seilí air agus bhí siad á bhualadh sa cheann leis an ngiolcach.
30 Y escupiendo en él, tomaron la caña, y le herían en la cabeza.
30 und spieen ihn an und nahmen das Rohr und schlugen damit sein Haupt.
31 And when they had made sport of him, they took the robe off him, and put his clothing on him, and took him away to put him on the cross.
31 Après s'être ainsi moqués de lui, ils lui ôtèrent le manteau, lui remirent ses vêtements, et l'emmenèrent pour le crucifier.

31 Y después que le hubieron escarnecido, le desnudaron el manto, y le vistieron de sus vestidos, y le llevaron para crucificarle.

32 And while they were coming out, they saw a man of Cyrene, Simon by name, and they made him go with them, so that he might take up his cross.
32 Lorsqu'ils sortirent, ils rencontrèrent un homme de Cyrène, appelé Simon, et ils le forcèrent à porter la croix de Jésus.

32 Y saliendo, hallaron á un Cireneo, que se llamaba Simón: á éste cargaron para que llevase su cruz.
32 Und indem sie hinausgingen, fanden sie einen Menschen von Kyrene mit Namen Simon; den zwangen sie, daß er ihm sein Kreuz trug.
33 And when they came to the place named Golgotha, that is to say, Dead Man's Head,
33 Arrivés au lieu nommé Golgotha, ce qui signifie lieu du crâne,

34 They gave him wine mixed with bitter drink: and after tasting it, he took no more.

35 And when they had put him on the cross, they made division of his clothing among them by the decision of chance.
35 Après l'avoir crucifié, ils se partagèrent ses vêtements, en tirant au sort, afin que s'accomplît ce qui avait été annoncé par le prophète: Ils se sont partagé mes vêtements, et ils ont tiré au sort ma tunique.
35 Tar éis dóibh é a chéasadh, roinn siad a chuid éadaigh eatarthu, á gcur ar chrainn,
35 Y después que le hubieron crucificado, repartieron sus vestidos, echando suertes: para que se cumpliese lo que fué dicho por el profeta: Se repartieron mis vestidos, y sobre mi ropa echaron suertes.
35 Da sie ihn aber gekreuzigt hatten, teilten sie seine Kleider und warfen das Los darum, auf daß erfüllet würde, was gesagt ist durch den Propheten: "Sie haben meine Kleider unter sich geteilt, und über mein Gewand haben sie das Los geworfen."
36 And they were seated there watching him.
36 Puis ils s'assirent, et le gardèrent.

37 And they put up over his head the statement of his crime in writing, THIS IS JESUS THE KING OF THE JEWS.

38 Then two thieves were put on crosses with him, one on the right and one on the left.

39 And those who went by said bitter words to him, shaking their heads and saying,

40 You who would give the Temple to destruction and put it up again in three days, get yourself free: if you are the Son of God, come down from the cross.
