1 On that day Jesus went out of the house and was seated by the seaside.

2 And great numbers of people came together to him, so that he got into a boat; and the people took up their position by the sea.
2 Une grande foule s'étant assemblée auprès de lui, il monta dans une barque, et il s'assit. Toute la foule se tenait sur le rivage.

2 Y se allegaron á él muchas gentes; y entrándose él en el barco, se sentó, y toda la gente estaba á la ribera.
2 Und es versammelte sich viel Volks zu ihm, also daß er in das Schiff trat und saß, und alles Volk stand am Ufer.
3 And he gave them teaching in the form of a story, saying, A man went out to put seed in the earth;
3 Il leur parla en paraboles sur beaucoup de choses, et il dit:
3 Agus rinne sé mórán cainte leo i bparabail. Dúirt: “Chuaigh an síoladóir amach ag cur an tsíl.
3 Y les habló muchas cosas por parábolas, diciendo: He aquí el que sembraba salió á sembrar.
3 Und er redete zu ihnen mancherlei durch Gleichnisse und sprach: Siehe, es ging ein Säemann aus, zu säen.
4 And while he did so, some seeds were dropped by the wayside, and the birds came and took them for food:
4 Un semeur sortit pour semer. Comme il semait, une partie de la semence tomba le long du chemin: les oiseaux vinrent, et la mangèrent.
4 Agus sa síolchur dó, thit cuid den ghrán le hais an bhóthair, agus tháinig an éanlaith á ithe suas.
4 Y sembrando, parte de la simiente cayó junto al camino; y vinieron las aves, y la comieron.
4 Und indem er säte, fiel etliches an den Weg; da kamen die Vögel und fraßen's auf.
5 And some of the seed went among the stones, where it had not much earth, and straight away it came up because the earth was not deep:
5 Une autre partie tomba dans les endroits pierreux, où elle n'avait pas beaucoup de terre: elle leva aussitôt, parce qu'elle ne trouva pas un sol profond;
5 Thit cuid eile de ar na creaga, áit nach raibh mórán ithreach ann dó, agus nuair nach raibh an ithir dhomhain aige, d'eascair sé gan mhoill.
5 Y parte cayó en pedregales, donde no tenía mucha tierra; y nació luego, porque no tenía profundidad de tierra:
5 Etliches fiel in das Steinige, wo es nicht viel Erde hatte; und ging bald auf, darum daß es nicht tiefe Erde hatte.
6 And when the sun was high, it was burned; and because it had no root it became dry and dead.
6 mais, quand le soleil parut, elle fut brûlée et sécha, faute de racines.
6 Ar éirí don ghrian, áfach, loisceadh é, agus d'fheoigh sé de cheal fréimhe.
6 Mas en saliendo el sol, se quemó; y secóse, porque no tenía raíz.
6 Als aber die Sonne aufging, verwelkte es, und dieweil es nicht Wurzel hatte, ward es dürre.
7 And some seeds went among thorns, and the thorns came up and they had no room for growth:
7 Une autre partie tomba parmi les épines: les épines montèrent, et l'étouffèrent.
7 Cuid eile fós de, thit sé i measc an deilgnigh, agus d'fhás an deilgneach aníos agus phlúch é.
7 Y parte cayó en espinas; y las espinas crecieron, y la ahogaron.
7 Etliches fiel unter die Dornen; und die Dornen wuchsen auf und erstickten's.
8 And some, falling on good earth, gave fruit, some a hundred, some sixty, some thirty times as much.
8 Une autre partie tomba dans la bonne terre: elle donna du fruit, un grain cent, un autre soixante, un autre trente.
8 Ach bhí cuid eile de a thit ar an talamh maith agus thug sé toradh uaidh, toradh faoi chéad in áit, faoi sheasca in áit eile, faoi thríocha in áit eile.
8 Y parte cayó en buena tierra, y dió fruto, cuál a ciento, cuál á sesenta, y cuál á treinta.
8 Etliches fiel auf gutes Land und trug Frucht, etliches hundertfältig, etliches sechzigfältig, etliches dreißigfältig.
9 He who has ears, let him give ear.
9 Que celui qui a des oreilles pour entendre entende.

10 And the disciples came and said to him, Why do you say things to them in the form of stories?
10 Les disciples s'approchèrent, et lui dirent: Pourquoi leur parles-tu en paraboles?
10 Tháinig na deisceabail chuige á rá: “Cén fáth ar i bparabail atá tú ag caint leo?”
10 Entonces, llegándose los discípulos, le dijeron: ¿Por qué les hablas por parábolas?
10 Und die Jünger traten zu ihm und sprachen: Warum redest du zu ihnen durch Gleichnisse?
11 And he said to them in answer, To you is given the knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.
11 Jésus leur répondit: Parce qu'il vous a été donné de connaître les mystères du royaume des cieux, et que cela ne leur a pas été donné.
11 Dúirt sé leo á bhfreagairt: “Is é fáth é, mar tá sé tugtha daoibhse eolas a bheith agaibh ar rúndiamhra ríocht na bhflaitheas, ach níl sé tugtha dóibh siúd.
11 Y él respondiendo, les dijo: Por que á vosotros es concedido saber los misterios del reino de los cielos; mas á ellos no es concedido.
11 Er antwortete und sprach: Euch ist es gegeben, daß ihr das Geheimnis des Himmelreichs verstehet; diesen aber ist es nicht gegeben.
12 Because whoever has, to him will be given, and he will have more; but from him who has not, even what he has will be taken away.
12 Car on donnera à celui qui a, et il sera dans l'abondance, mais à celui qui n'a pas on ôtera même ce qu'il a.
12 Óir, duine ar bith a mbíonn ní aige, tabharfar dó agus beidh fuílleach aige; ach duine ar bith a bhíonn gan ní, fiú amháin a mbíonn aige bainfear de é.
12 Porque á cualquiera que tiene, se le dará, y tendrá más; pero al que no tiene, aun lo que tiene le será quitado.
12 Denn wer da hat, dem wird gegeben, daß er die Fülle habe; wer aber nicht hat, von dem wird auch das genommen was er hat.
13 For this reason I put things into the form of stories; because they see without seeing, and give ear without hearing, and the sense is not clear to them.
13 C'est pourquoi je leur parle en paraboles, parce qu'en voyant ils ne voient point, et qu'en entendant ils n'entendent ni ne comprennent.
13 Agus sin é an fáth a bhfuilim ag caint i bparabail leo, mar feiceann siad gan feiceáil agus cluineann siad gan cloisteáil agus gan tuiscint.
13 Por eso les hablo por parábolas; porque viendo no ven, y oyendo no oyen, ni entienden.
13 Darum rede ich zu ihnen durch Gleichnisse. Denn mit sehenden Augen sehen sie nicht, und mit hörenden Ohren hören sie nicht; denn sie verstehen es nicht.
14 And for them the words of Isaiah have come true, Though you give ear, you will not get knowledge; and seeing, you will see, but the sense will not be clear to you:
14 Et pour eux s'accomplit cette prophétie d'Ésaïe: Vous entendrez de vos oreilles, et vous ne comprendrez point; Vous regarderez de vos yeux, et vous ne verrez point.
14 Agus sin mar atá á comhlíonadh iontu an tairngreacht a rinne Íseáia: ‘Beidh sibh ag cloisteáil go deimhin ach ní thuigfidh sibh, beidh sibh ag breathnú go deimhin, ach ní fheicfidh sibh,
14 De manera que se cumple en ellos la profecía de Isaías, que dice: De oído oiréis, y no entenderéis; Y viendo veréis, y no miraréis.
14 Und über ihnen wird die Weissagung Jesaja's erfüllt, die da sagt: "Mit den Ohren werdet ihr hören, und werdet es nicht verstehen; und mit sehenden Augen werdet ihr sehen, und werdet es nicht verstehen.
15 For the heart of this people has become fat and their ears are slow in hearing and their eyes are shut; for fear that they might see with their eyes and give hearing with their ears and become wise in their hearts and be turned again to me, so that I might make them well.
15 Car le coeur de ce peuple est devenu insensible; Ils ont endurci leurs oreilles, et ils ont fermé leurs yeux, De peur qu'ils ne voient de leurs yeux, qu'ils n'entendent de leurs oreilles, Qu'ils ne comprennent de leur coeur, Qu'ils ne se convertissent, et que je ne les guérisse.
15 óir chuaigh croí an phobail seo chun raimhre, d'éist siad le cluasa bodhránta, d'iaigh siad a súile, d'eagla go mbeadh radharc na súl acu, ná clos na gcluas, ná tuiscint an chroí, agus go n‑iompóidís agus go leigheasfainn iad.’
15 Porque el corazón de este pueblo está engrosado, Y de los oídos oyen pesadamente, Y de sus ojos guiñan: Para que no vean de los ojos, Y oigan de los oídos, Y del corazón entiendan, Y se conviertan, Y yo los sane.
15 Denn dieses Volkes Herz ist verstockt, und ihre Ohren hören übel, und ihre Augen schlummern, auf daß sie nicht dermaleinst mit den Augen sehen und mit den Ohren hören und mit dem Herzen verstehen und sich bekehren, daß ich ihnen hülfe."
16 But a blessing be on your eyes, because they see; and on your ears, because they are open.
16 Mais heureux sont vos yeux, parce qu'ils voient, et vos oreilles, parce qu'elles entendent!
16 “Ach is méanar do bhur súilese mar go bhfeiceann said agus do bhur gcluasa mar go n‑éisteann siad.
16 Mas bienaventurados vuestros ojos, porque ven; y vuestros oídos, porque oyen.
16 Aber selig sind eure Augen, daß sie sehen, und eure Ohren, daß sie hören.
17 For truly, I say to you that prophets and upright men had a desire to see the things which you see, and saw them not; and to have knowledge of the words which have come to your ears, and they had it not.
17 Je vous le dis en vérité, beaucoup de prophètes et de justes ont désiré voir ce que vous voyez, et ne l'ont pas vu, entendre ce que vous entendez, et ne l'ont pas entendu.
17 Deirim libh go fírinneach, b'é ba mhian le mórán fáithe agus fíréan na nithe a fheiceáil a fheiceann sibhse agus ní fhaca siad iad, agus na nithe a chloisteáil a chluineann sibhse agus níor chuala siad iad.” Parabal an tSíoladóra á Mhíniú
17 Porque de cierto os digo, que muchos profetas y justos desearon ver lo que veis, y no lo vieron: y oir lo que oís, y no lo oyeron.
17 Wahrlich ich sage euch: Viele Propheten und Gerechte haben begehrt zu sehen, was ihr sehet, und haben's nicht gesehen, und zu hören, was ihr höret, und haben's nicht gehört.
18 Give ear, then, to the story of the man who put the seed in the earth.
18 Vous donc, écoutez ce que signifie la parabole du semeur.
18 “Sibhse mar sin, éistigí le parabal an tsíoladóra.
18 Oid, pues, vosotros la parábola del que siembra:
18 So hört nun ihr dieses Gleichnis von dem Säemann:
19 When the word of the kingdom comes to anyone, and the sense of it is not clear to him, then the Evil One comes, and quickly takes away that which was put in his heart. He is the seed dropped by the wayside.
19 Lorsqu'un homme écoute la parole du royaume et ne la comprend pas, le malin vient et enlève ce qui a été semé dans son coeur: cet homme est celui qui a reçu la semence le long du chemin.
19 Duine ar bith a chluineann briathar na ríochta agus nach dtuigeann é, tagann Fear an Oilc agus sciobann sé leis an ní a cuireadh ina chroí: agus sin é an duine a ghlac an síol le hais an bhóthair.
19 Oyendo cualquiera la palabra del reino, y no entendiéndola, viene el malo, y arrebata lo que fué sembrado en su corazón: éste es el que fué sembrado junto al camino.
19 Wenn jemand das Wort von dem Reich hört und nicht versteht, so kommt der Arge und reißt hinweg, was da gesät ist in sein Herz; und das ist der, bei welchem an dem Wege gesät ist.
20 And that which went on the stones, this is he who, hearing the word, straight away takes it with joy;
20 Celui qui a reçu la semence dans les endroits pierreux, c'est celui qui entend la parole et la reçoit aussitôt avec joie;
20 An duine a ghlac an síol ar na creaga, sin é an duine a chluineann an briathar agus a ghabhann chuige le háthas é láithreach,
20 Y el que fué sembrado en pedregales, éste es el que oye la palabra, y luego la recibe con gozo.
20 Das aber auf das Steinige gesät ist, das ist, wenn jemand das Wort hört und es alsbald aufnimmt mit Freuden;
21 But having no root in himself, he goes on for a time; and when trouble comes or pain, because of the word, he quickly becomes full of doubts.
21 mais il n'a pas de racines en lui-même, il manque de persistance, et, dès que survient une tribulation ou une persécution à cause de la parole, il y trouve une occasion de chute.
21 ach ní bhíonn fréamh aige ann féin, ach é neamhbhuan; an túisce is a thagann trioblóid nó géarleanúint mar gheall ar an mbriathar, cliseann air.
21 Mas no tiene raíz en sí, antes es temporal que venida la aflicción ó la persecución por la palabra, luego se ofende.
21 aber er hat nicht Wurzel in sich, sondern ist wetterwendisch; wenn sich Trübsal und Verfolgung erhebt um des Wortes willen, so ärgert er sich alsbald.
22 And that which was dropped among the thorns, this is he who has the word; and the cares of this life, and the deceits of wealth, put a stop to the growth of the word and it gives no fruit.
22 Celui qui a reçu la semence parmi les épines, c'est celui qui entend la parole, mais en qui les soucis du siècle et la séduction des richesses étouffent cette parole, et la rendent infructueuse.
22 An duine a ghlac an síol sa deilgneach, sin é an duine a chluineann an briathar, ach go mbíonn cúram an tsaoil agus mealladh an tsaibhris ag plúchadh an bhriathair agus fágtar gan toradh a thabhairt é.
22 Y el que fué sembrado en espinas, éste es el que oye la palabra; pero el afán de este siglo y el engaño de las riquezas, ahogan la palabra, y hácese infructuosa.
22 Das aber unter die Dornen gesät ist, das ist, wenn jemand das Wort hört, und die Sorge dieser Welt und der Betrug des Reichtums erstickt das Wort, und er bringt nicht Frucht.
23 And the seed which was put in good earth, this is he who gives ear to the word, and gets the sense of it; who gives fruit, some a hundred, some sixty, some thirty times as much.
23 Celui qui a reçu la semence dans la bonne terre, c'est celui qui entend la parole et la comprend; il porte du fruit, et un grain en donne cent, un autre soixante, un autre trente.
23 Ach an duine a ghlac an síol ar an talamh maith, sin é an duine a chluineann an briathar agus a thuigeann é; agus tugann sé sin toradh uaidh gan teip, faoi chéad nó faoi sheasca, nó faoi thríocha de réir mar a bhíonn.” An tArbhar agus an Cogal
23 Mas el que fué sembrado en buena tierra, éste es el que oye y entiende la palabra, y el que lleva fruto: y lleva uno á ciento, y otro á sesenta, y otro á treinta.
23 Das aber in das gute Land gesät ist, das ist, wenn jemand das Wort hört und versteht es und dann auch Frucht bringt; und etlicher trägt hundertfältig, etlicher aber sechzigfältig, etlicher dreißigfältig.
24 And he gave them another story, saying, The kingdom of heaven is like a man who put good seed in his field:
24 Il leur proposa une autre parabole, et il dit: Le royaume des cieux est semblable à un homme qui a semé une bonne semence dans son champ.
24 Chuir sé parabal eile os a gcomhair: “Is iad dála ríocht na bhflaitheas,” ar seisean, “mar a bhí ag an duine a chuir síol maith ina ghort.
24 Otra parábola les propuso, diciendo: El reino de los cielos es semejante al hombre que siembra buena simiente en su campo:
24 Er legte ihnen ein anderes Gleichnis vor und sprach: Das Himmelreich ist gleich einem Menschen, der guten Samen auf seinen Acker säte.
25 But while men were sleeping, one who had hate for him came and put evil seeds among the grain, and went away.
25 Mais, pendant que les gens dormaient, son ennemi vint, sema de l'ivraie parmi le blé, et s'en alla.
25 Ach fad a bhí an saol ina chodladh, bhí namhaid dó a tháinig ag scaipeadh cogail anuas ar an arbhar, agus d'imigh.
25 Mas durmiendo los hombres, vino su enemigo, y sembró cizaña entre el trigo, y se fué.
25 Da aber die Leute schliefen, kam sein Feind und säte Unkraut zwischen den Weizen und ging davon.
26 But when the green stem came up and gave fruit, the evil plants were seen at the same time.
26 Lorsque l'herbe eut poussé et donné du fruit, l'ivraie parut aussi.
26 Tháinig an t‑arbhar aníos ina gheamhar, agus ansin ina dhias agus an uair sin chonacthas an cogal freisin.
26 Y como la hierba salió é hizo fruto, entonces apareció también la cizaña.
26 Da nun das Kraut wuchs und Frucht brachte, da fand sich auch das Unkraut.
27 And the servants of the master of the house came and said to him, Sir, did you not put good seed in your field? how then has it evil plants?
27 Les serviteurs du maître de la maison vinrent lui dire: Seigneur, n'as-tu pas semé une bonne semence dans ton champ? D'où vient donc qu'il y a de l'ivraie?
27 Tháinig a chuid sclábhaí go dtí an fear tí agus dúirt siad leis: ‘A mháistir, an síol a chuir tú i do ghort, nach síol maith a bhí ann? Agus cad a thug an cogal ann más ea?’
27 Y llegándose los siervos del padre de la familia, le dijeron: Señor, ¿no sembraste buena simiente en tu campo? ¿de dónde, pues, tiene cizaña?
27 Da traten die Knechte zu dem Hausvater und sprachen: Herr, hast du nicht guten Samen auf deinen Acker gesät? Woher hat er denn das Unkraut?
28 And he said, Someone has done this in hate. And the servants say to him, Is it your pleasure that we go and take them up?
28 Il leur répondit: C'est un ennemi qui a fait cela. Et les serviteurs lui dirent: Veux-tu que nous allions l'arracher?
28 Dúirt sé leo: ‘Namhaid éigin a rinne an méid sin.’ ‘Agus ar mhaith leat,’ deir na sclábhaí leis, ‘go rachaimis á bhailiú chun a chéile?’
28 Y él les dijo: Un hombre enemigo ha hecho esto. Y los siervos le dijeron: ¿Quieres, pues, que vayamos y la cojamos?
28 Er sprach zu ihnen: Das hat der Feind getan. Da sagten die Knechte: Willst du das wir hingehen und es ausjäten?
29 But he says, No, for fear that by chance while you take up the evil plants, you may be rooting up the grain with them.
29 Non, dit-il, de peur qu'en arrachant l'ivraie, vous ne déraciniez en même temps le blé.
29 ‘Ná déanaigí,’ ar seisean, ‘ar eagla, nuair a bheadh sibh ag bailiú an chogail, go sracfadh sibh an t‑arbhar aníos san am céanna.
29 Y él dijo: No; porque cogiendo la cizaña, no arranquéis también con ella el trigo.
29 Er sprach: Nein! auf daß ihr nicht zugleich den Weizen mit ausraufet, so ihr das Unkraut ausjätet.
30 Let them come up together till the getting in of the grain; and then I will say to the workers, Take up first the evil plants, and put them together for burning: but put the grain into my store-house.
30 Laissez croître ensemble l'un et l'autre jusqu'à la moisson, et, à l'époque de la moisson, je dirai aux moissonneurs: Arrachez d'abord l'ivraie, et liez-la en gerbes pour la brûler, mais amassez le blé dans mon grenier.
30 Fágtar le hais a chéile ag fás iad araon go dtí an fómhar, agus nuair a bheidh an fómhar á dhéanamh déarfaidh mé leis na buanaithe: Bailígí an cogal chun a chéile ar dtús, agus déanaigí punanna de chun a dhóite. Ach cruinnígí an t‑arbhar isteach i mo scioból.’ ” An Gráinne Mustaird: An Ghabháil
30 Dejad crecer juntamente lo uno y lo otro hasta la siega; y al tiempo de la siega yo diré á los segadores: Coged primero la cizaña, y atadla en manojos para quemarla; mas recoged el trigo en mi alfolí.
30 Lasset beides miteinander wachsen bis zur Ernte; und um der Ernte Zeit will ich zu den Schnittern sagen: Sammelt zuvor das Unkraut und bindet es in Bündlein, daß man es verbrenne; aber den Weizen sammelt mir in meine Scheuer.
31 He put another story before them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is like a grain of mustard seed which a man took and put in his field:
31 Il leur proposa une autre parabole, et il dit: Le royaume des cieux est semblable à un grain de sénevé qu'un homme a pris et semé dans son champ.
31 Chuir sé parabal eile os a gcomhair: “Is cosúil ríocht na bhflaitheas,” ar seisean, “le gráinne de shíol mustaird a thóg duine agus a chuir sé ina ghort.
31 Otra parábola les propuso, diciendo: El reino de los cielos es semejante al grano de mostaza, que tomándolo alguno lo sembró en su campo:
31 Ein anderes Gleichnis legte er ihnen vor und sprach: Das Himmelreich ist gleich einem Senfkorn, das ein Mensch nahm und säte es auf seinen Acker;
32 Which is smaller than all seeds; but when it has come up it is greater than the plants, and becomes a tree, so that the birds of heaven come and make their resting-places in its branches.
32 C'est la plus petite de toutes les semences; mais, quand il a poussé, il est plus grand que les légumes et devient un arbre, de sorte que les oiseaux du ciel viennent habiter dans ses branches.
32 Is é an gráinnín síl is lú ar bith é, ach nuair a bhíonn sé fásta, bíonn sé ar an gceann is mó de na glasraí agus déantar crann de, a bhféadann éanlaith an aeir dul ar foscadh ina chraobhacha.”
32 El cual á la verdad es la más pequeña de todas las simientes; mas cuando ha crecido, es la mayor de las hortalizas, y se hace árbol, que vienen las aves del cielo y hacen nidos en sus ramas.
32 welches ist das kleinste unter allem Samen; wenn er erwächst, so ist es das größte unter dem Kohl und wird ein Baum, daß die Vögel unter dem Himmel kommen und wohnen unter seinen Zweigen.
33 Another story he gave to them: The kingdom of heaven is like leaven, which a woman took, and put in three measures of meal, till it was all leavened.
33 Il leur dit cette autre parabole: Le royaume des cieux est semblable à du levain qu'une femme a pris et mis dans trois mesures de farine, jusqu'à ce que la pâte soit toute levée.
33 D'inis sé parabal eile dóibh: “Is cosúil ríocht na bhflaitheas le gabháil a thóg bean agus a d'fholaigh sí i dtrí pheic plúir nó go raibh sé gabháilte ar fad.”
33 Otra parábola les dijo: El reino de los cielos es semejante á la levadura que tomó una mujer, y escondió en tres medidas de harina, hasta que todo quedó leudo.
33 Ein anderes Gleichnis redete er zu ihnen: Das Himmelreich ist gleich einem Sauerteig, den ein Weib nahm und unter drei Scheffel Mehl vermengte, bis es ganz durchsäuert ward.
34 All these things Jesus said to the people in the form of stories; and without a story he said nothing to them:
34 Jésus dit à la foule toutes ces choses en paraboles, et il ne lui parlait point sans parabole,
34 Labhair Íosa na nithe sin uile i bparabail leis na sluaite: ní dhéanadh sé caint ar bith leo gan pharabal,
34 Todo esto habló Jesús por parábolas á las gentes, y sin parábolas no les hablaba:
34 Solches alles redete Jesus durch Gleichnisse zu dem Volk, und ohne Gleichnis redete er nicht zu ihnen,
35 That it might come true which was said by the prophet, Opening my mouth, I will give out stories; I will give knowledge of things kept secret from before all time.

36 Then he went away from the people, and went into the house; and his disciples came to him, saying, Make clear to us the story of the evil plants in the field.

39 And he who put them in the earth is Satan; and the getting in of the grain is the end of the world; and those who get it in are the angels.

53 And when Jesus had come to the end of these stories he went away from there.

56 And his sisters, are they not all with us? from where, then, has he all these things?

57 And they were bitter against him. But Jesus said to them, A prophet is nowhere without honour but in his country and among his family.

58 And the works of power which he did there were small in number because they had no faith.
