1 See, I am sending my servant, and he will make ready the way before me; and the Lord, whom you are looking for, will suddenly come to his Temple; and the angel of the agreement, in whom you have delight, see, he is coming, says the Lord of armies.
1 Voici, j'enverrai mon messager; Il préparera le chemin devant moi. Et soudain entrera dans son temple le Seigneur que vous cherchez; Et le messager de l'alliance que vous désirez, voici, il vient, Dit l'Éternel des armées.
1 “Féach! Tá mo theachtaire á chur amach agam chun an bóthar a réiteach romham; agus an Tiarna atá á lorg agaibh, rachaidh sé isteach ina Theampall go tobann; agus aingeal an chonartha, a bhfuil sibh ag tnúth leis, tá sé ag teacht, a deir Tiarna na Slua.
1 HE aquí, yo envío mi mensajero, el cual preparará el camino delante de mí: y luego vendrá á su templo el Señor á quien vosotros buscáis, y el ángel del pacto, á quien deseáis vosotros. He aquí viene, ha dicho Jehová de los ejércitos.
1 Siehe, ich will meinen Engel senden, der vor mir her den Weg bereiten soll. Und bald wird kommen zu seinem Tempel der HERR, den ihr suchet; der Engel des Bundes, des ihr begehret, siehe, er kommt! spricht der HERR Zebaoth.
2 But by whom may the day of his coming be faced? and who may keep his place when he is seen? for he is like the metal-tester's fire and the cleaner's soap.
2 Qui pourra soutenir le jour de sa venue? Qui restera debout quand il paraîtra? Car il sera comme le feu du fondeur, Comme la potasse des foulons.
2 Ach cé a fhulaingeoidh lá a theachta? Cé a fhéadfaidh seasamh nuair a thaibhseoidh sé? Óir, is cuma é nó tine an athleádóra agus buac an úcaire.
2 ¿Y quién podrá sufrir el tiempo de su venida? ó ¿quién podrá estar cuando él se mostrará? Porque él es como fuego purificador, y como jabón de lavadores.
2 Wer wird aber den Tag seiner Zukunft erleiden können, und wer wird bestehen, wenn er wird erscheinen? Denn er ist wie das Feuer eines Goldschmieds und wie die Seifen der Wäscher.
3 He will take his seat, testing and cleaning the sons of Levi, burning away the evil from them as from gold and silver; so that they may make offerings to the Lord in righteousness.
3 Il s'assiéra, fondra et purifiera l'argent; Il purifiera les fils de Lévi, Il les épurera comme on épure l'or et l'argent, Et ils présenteront à l'Éternel des offrandes avec justice.
3 Suífidh sé síos mar athleádóir, agus mar ghlantóir airgid, agus glanfaidh sé clann mhac Léiví agus athleáfaidh sé iad mar ór nó mar airgead sa chaoi go mbeidh a dhíol d'íobróirí iontu ag an Tiarna.
3 Y sentarse ha para afinar y limpiar la plata: porque limpiará los hijos de Leví, los afinará como á oro y como á plata; y ofrecerán á Jehová ofrenda con justicia.
3 Er wird sitzen und schmelzen und das Silber reinigen; er wird die Kinder Levi reinigen und läutern wie Gold und Silber. Dann werden sie dem HERRN Speisopfer bringen in Gerechtigkeit,
4 Then the offering of Judah and Jerusalem will be pleasing to the Lord, as in days gone by, and as in past years.
4 Alors l'offrande de Juda et de Jérusalem sera agréable à l'Éternel, Comme aux anciens jours, comme aux années d'autrefois.
4 Ansin, beidh íobairt Iúdá agus Iarúsailéim taitneamhach leis an Tiarna faoi mar a bhí sí anallód, na blianta fada ó shin.
4 Y será suave á Jehová la ofrenda de Judá y de Jerusalem, como en los días pasados, y como en los años antiguos.
4 und wird dem HERRN wohl gefallen das Speisopfer Juda's und Jerusalems wie vormals und vor langen Jahren.
5 And I will come near to you for judging; I will quickly be a witness against the wonder-workers, against those who have been untrue in married life, against those who take false oaths; against those who keep back from the servant his payment, and who are hard on the widow and the child without a father, who do not give his rights to the man from a strange country, and have no fear of me, says the Lord of armies.
5 Je m'approcherai de vous pour le jugement, Et je me hâterai de témoigner contre les enchanteurs et les adultères, Contre ceux qui jurent faussement, Contre ceux qui retiennent le salaire du mercenaire, Qui oppriment la veuve et l'orphelin, Qui font tort à l'étranger, et ne me craignent pas, Dit l'Éternel des armées.
5 Tiocfaidh mé chugaibh chun breithiúnas a thabhairt agus beidh mé i m'fhinné neamhbhalbh in aghaidh draoithe agus adhaltrach agus éitheoirí agus ina n‑aghaidh siúd a dhéanann leatrom ar fhostaithe nó ar bhaintreacha nó ar dhílleachtaí agus ina n‑aghaidh siúd chomh maith a sháraíonn cearta an choimhthígh a chónaíonn in bhur measc agus gan eagla dá laghad orthu romhamsa, a deir Tiarna na Slua. 5 Y llegarme he á vosotros á juicio; y seré pronto testigo contra los hechiceros y adúlteros; y contra los que juran mentira, y los que detienen el salario del jornalero, de la viuda, y del huérfano, y los que hacen agravio al extranjero, no teniendo temor de mí, dice Jehová de los ejércitos.
5 Und ich will zu euch kommen und euch strafen und will ein schneller Zeuge sein wider die Zauberer, Ehebrecher und Meineidigen und wider die, so Gewalt und Unrecht tun den Tagelöhnern, Witwen und Waisen und den Fremdling drücken und mich nicht fürchten, spricht der HERR Zebaoth.
6 For I am the Lord, I am unchanged; and so you, O sons of Jacob, have not been cut off.
6 Car je suis l'Éternel, je ne change pas; Et vous, enfants de Jacob, vous n'avez pas été consumés.
6 “Go deimhin ní thagann aon athrú ormsa, an Tiarna, riamh. Ach is sibhse clann mhac Iacóib i gcónaí!
6 Porque yo Jehová, no me mudo; y así vosotros, hijos de Jacob, no habéis sido consumidos.
6 Denn ich bin der HERR und wandle mich nicht; und es soll mit euch Kindern Jakobs nicht gar aus sein.
7 From the days of your fathers you have been turned away from my rules and have not kept them. Come back to me, and I will come back to you, says the Lord of armies. But you say, How are we to come back?
7 Depuis le temps de vos pères, vous vous êtes écartés de mes ordonnances, Vous ne les avez point observées. Revenez à moi, et je reviendrai à vous, dit l'Éternel des armées. Et vous dites: En quoi devons-nous revenir?
7 Riamh anall ó laethanta bhur sinsear thréig sibh mo reachtanna agus níor choimeád sibh iad ar aon chor. Filligí ormsa agus fillfidh mise oraibh, a deir Tiarna na Slua. Ach séard a deir sibhse: ‘Conas a fhillfimid?’
7 Desde los días de vuestros padres os habéis apartado de mis leyes, y no las guardasteis. Tornaos á mí, y yo me tornaré á vosotros, ha dicho Jehová de los ejércitos. Mas dijisteis: ¿En qué hemos de tornar?
7 Ihr seid von eurer Väter Zeit immerdar abgewichen von meinen Geboten und habt sie nicht gehalten. So bekehrt euch nun zu mir, so will ich mich zu euch auch kehren, spricht der HERR Zebaoth. So sprecht ihr: "Worin sollen wir uns bekehren?"
8 Will a man keep back from God what is right? But you have kept back what is mine. But you say, What have we kept back from you? Tenths and offerings.
8 Un homme trompe-t-il Dieu? Car vous me trompez, Et vous dites: En quoi t'avons-nous trompé? Dans les dîmes et les offrandes.
8 An bhféadfadh duine calaois a dhéanamh ar Dhia? Ach is amhlaidh a dhéanann sibhse calaois ormsa. Dá ainneoin sin deir sibh: ‘Conas a dhéanaimid calaois ort?’ I gcúrsaí deachúna agus ofrálacha!
8 ¿Robará el hombre á Dios? Pues vosotros me habéis robado. Y dijisteis: ¿En qué te hemos robado? Los diezmos y las primicias.
8 Ist's recht, daß ein Mensch Gott täuscht, wie ihr mich den täuschet? So sprecht ihr: "Womit täuschen wir dich?" Am Zehnten und Hebopfer.
9 You are cursed with a curse; for you have kept back from me what is mine, even all this nation.
9 Vous êtes frappés par la malédiction, Et vous me trompez, La nation tout entière!
9 Tá mallacht agus eascaine curtha oraibh toisc go ndéanann sibh, an pobal seo agaibhse ina iomláine, calaois orm.
9 Malditos sois con maldición, porque vosotros, la nación toda, me habéis robado.
9 Darum seid ihr auch verflucht, daß euch alles unter den Händen zerrinnt; denn ihr täuscht mich allesamt.
10 Let your tenths come into the store-house so that there may be food in my house, and put me to the test by doing so, says the Lord of armies, and see if I do not make the windows of heaven open and send down such a blessing on you that there is no room for it.
10 Apportez à la maison du trésor toutes les dîmes, Afin qu'il y ait de la nourriture dans ma maison; Mettez-moi de la sorte à l'épreuve, Dit l'Éternel des armées. Et vous verrez si je n'ouvre pas pour vous les écluses des cieux, Si je ne répands pas sur vous la bénédiction en abondance.
10 Tugaigí na deachúna go léir isteach sa stóras ionas go mbeidh soláthar bia i mo theachsa; agus cuirigí promhadh orm ar an gcuma sin, a deir Tiarna na Slua, féachaint an osclóidh mé fuinneoga neimhe daoibh chun beannachtaí a dhoirteadh anuas oraibh go flúirseach fial.
10 Traed todos los diezmos al alfolí, y haya alimento en mi casa; y probadme ahora en esto, dice Jehová de los ejércitos, si no os abriré las ventanas de los cielos, y vaciaré sobre vosotros bendición hasta que sobreabunde.
10 Bringt mir den Zehnten ganz in mein Kornhaus, auf daß in meinem Hause Speise sei, und prüft mich hierin, spricht der HERR Zebaoth, ob ich euch nicht des Himmels Fenster auftun werde und Segen herabschütten die Fülle.
11 And on your account I will keep back the locusts from wasting the fruits of your land; and the fruit of your vine will not be dropped on the field before its time, says the Lord of armies
11 Pour vous je menacerai celui qui dévore, Et il ne vous détruira pas les fruits de la terre, Et la vigne ne sera pas stérile dans vos campagnes, Dit l'Éternel des armées.
11 Crosfaidh mé ar an lócaiste craosach bhur mbarra a mhilleadh oraibh agus an fhíniúin atá in bhur ngoirt a fhágáil neamhthorthúil, a deir Tiarna na Slua.
11 Increparé también por vosotros al devorador, y no os corromperá el fruto de la tierra; ni vuestra vid en el campo abortará, dice Jehová de los ejércitos.
11 Und ich will für euch den Fresser schelten, daß er euch die Frucht auf dem Felde nicht verderben soll und der Weinstock im Acker euch nicht unfruchtbar sei, spricht der HERR Zebaoth;
12 And you will be named happy by all nations: for you will be a land of delight, says the Lord of armies.
12 Toutes les nations vous diront heureux, Car vous serez un pays de délices, Dit l'Éternel des armées.
12 Fógróidh na ciníocha go léir gur méanar daoibh toisc go ndéanfar tír thaitneamhach díbh, a deir Tiarna na Slua. Pionós agus Luach Saothair Lá an Tiarna
12 Y todas las gentes os dirán bienaventurados; porque seréis tierra deseable, dice Jehová de los ejércitos.
12 daß euch alle Heiden sollen selig preisen, denn ihr sollt ein wertes Land sein, spricht der HERR Zebaoth.
13 Your words have been strong against me, says the Lord. And still you say, What have we said against you?
13 Vos paroles sont rudes contre moi, dit l'Éternel. Et vous dites: Qu'avons-nous dit contre toi?
13 “Is bearránach iad na briathra a labhraíonn sibh i m'aghaidh, a deir an Tiarna. Mar sin féin, fiafraíonn sibh: ‘Céard a dúramar i d'aghaidh?’
13 Vuestras palabras han prevalecido contra mí, dice Jehová. Y dijisteis: ¿Qué hemos hablado contra ti?
13 Ihr redet hart wider mich, spricht der HERR. So sprecht ihr: "Was reden wir wider dich?"
14 You have said, It is no use worshipping God: what profit have we had from keeping his orders, and going in clothing of sorrow before the Lord of armies?
14 Vous avez dit: C'est en vain que l'on sert Dieu; Qu'avons-nous gagné à observer ses préceptes, Et à marcher avec tristesse A cause de l'Éternel des armées?
14 Deir sibh: ‘Is saothar in aisce dúinn seirbhís a dhéanamh do Dhia. Cén tairbhe dúinn é a aitheanta a chomhlíonadh agus siúl go dobrónach os comhair Thiarna na Slua?
14 Habéis dicho: Por demás es servir á Dios; ¿y qué aprovecha que guardemos su ley, y que andemos tristes delante de Jehová de los ejércitos?
14 Damit daß ihr sagt: Es ist umsonst, daß man Gott dient; und was nützt es, daß wir sein Gebot halten und ein hartes Leben vor dem HERR Zebaoth führen?
15 And now to us the men of pride seem happy; yes, the evil-doers are doing well; they put God to the test and are safe.
15 Maintenant nous estimons heureux les hautains; Oui, les méchants prospèrent; Oui, ils tentent Dieu, et ils échappent!
15 Tá an scéal sa chruth anois go gcaithfimid a rá gur méanar do scigirí, agus go mbíonn rath ar lucht déanta an oilc; is ea go deimhin, cuireann siad promhadh ar Dhia ach ní ghearrtar aon phionós orthu.’ ”
15 Decimos pues ahora, que bienaventurados los soberbios, y también que los que hacen impiedad son los prosperados: bien que tentaron á Dios, escaparon.
15 Darum preisen wir die Verächter; denn die Gottlosen nehmen zu; sie versuchen Gott, und alles geht ihnen wohl aus.
16 Then those in whom was the fear of the Lord had talk together: and the Lord gave ear, and it was recorded in a book to be kept in mind before him, for those who had the fear of the Lord and gave thought to his name.
16 Alors ceux qui craignent l'Éternel se parlèrent l'un à l'autre; L'Éternel fut attentif, et il écouta; Et un livre de souvenir fut écrit devant lui Pour ceux qui craignent l'Éternel Et qui honorent son nom.
16 Labhraíodh lucht adhartha an Tiarna le chéile ar an gcuma sin agus d'éist an Tiarna leo go hairdeallach. Ansin scríobhadh leabhar meabhráin os a chomhair ar son na ndaoine a thugann ómós dó agus a bhfuil ardmheas acu ar a ainm.
16 Entonces los que temen á Jehová hablaron cada uno á su compañero; y Jehová escuchó y oyó, y fué escrito libro de memoria delante de él para los que temen á Jehová, y para los que piensan en su nombre.
16 Aber die Gottesfürchtigen trösten sich untereinander also: Der HERR merkt und hört es, und vor ihm ist ein Denkzettel geschrieben für die, so den HERRN fürchten und an seinen Namen gedenken.
17 And they will be mine, says the Lord, in the day when I make them my special property; and I will have mercy on them as a man has mercy on his son who is his servant.
17 Ils seront à moi, dit l'Éternel des armées, Ils m'appartiendront, au jour que je prépare; J'aurai compassion d'eux, Comme un homme a compassion de son fils qui le sert.
17 “Ar an lá atá á reiteach agam beidh siad ina maoineach agam, a deir Tiarna na Slua, agus beidh trua agam dóibh faoi mar a bhíonn trua ag duine don mhac a bhíonn umhal dó.
17 Y serán para mí especial tesoro, ha dicho Jehová de los ejércitos, en el día que yo tengo de hacer: y perdonarélos como el hombre que perdona á su hijo que le sirve.
17 Sie sollen spricht der HERR Zebaoth, des Tages, den ich machen will, mein Eigentum sein; und ich will ihrer schonen, wie ein Mann seines Sohnes schont, der ihm dient.
18 Then you will again see how the upright man is different from the sinner, and the servant of God from him who is not.
18 Et vous verrez de nouveau la différence Entre le juste et le méchant, Entre celui qui sert Dieu Et celui qui ne le sert pas.
