1 In the seventh month, on the twenty-first day of the month, the word of the Lord came by Haggai the prophet, saying,

1 Am einundzwanzigsten Tage des siebenten Monats geschah des HERRN Wort durch den Propheten Haggai und sprach:
2 Say now to Zerubbabel, the son of Shealtiel, ruler of Judah, and to Joshua, the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and to the rest of the people,
2 Parle à Zorobabel, fils de Schealthiel, gouverneur de Juda, à Josué, fils de Jotsadak, le souverain sacrificateur, et au reste du peuple, et dis-leur:
2 “Labhair le Zarubáibil, mac Sheailtíéil, gobharnóir Iúdá, agus leis an ardsagart Iósua, mac Iózádác, agus le fuílleach uile an phobail mar seo:
2 Habla ahora á Zorobabel hijo de Sealtiel, gobernador de Judá, y á Josué hijo de Josadac, gran sacerdote, y al resto del pueblo, diciendo:
2 Sage zu Serubabel, dem Sohn Sealthiels, dem Fürsten Juda's, und zu Josua, dem Sohn Jozadaks, dem Hohenpriester, und zum übrigen Volk und sprich:
3 Who is there still among you who saw this house in its first glory? and how do you see it now? is it not in your eyes as nothing?
3 Quel est parmi vous le survivant Qui ait vu cette maison dans sa gloire première? Et comment la voyez-vous maintenant? Telle qu'elle est, ne paraît-elle pas comme rien à vos yeux?
3 Cé atá fágtha in bhur measc a chonaic an Teampall seo faoina chéadghlóir? Agus conas a fhéachann sé daoibh anois? Nach neamhní ar fad é in bhur súile?
3 ¿Quién ha quedado entre vosotros que haya visto esta casa en su primera gloria, y cual ahora la veis? ¿No es ella como nada delante de vuestros ojos?
3 Wer ist unter euch übriggeblieben, der dies Haus in seiner vorigen Herrlichkeit gesehen hat? und wie seht ihr's nun an? Ist's nicht also, es dünkt euch nichts zu sein?
4 But now be strong, O Zerubbabel, says the Lord; and be strong, O Joshua, son of Jehozadak, the high priest; and be strong, all you people of the land, says the Lord, and get to work: for I am with you, says the Lord of armies:
4 Maintenant fortifie-toi, Zorobabel! dit l'Éternel. Fortifie-toi, Josué, fils de Jotsadak, souverain sacrificateur! Fortifie-toi, peuple entier du pays! dit l'Éternel. Et travaillez! Car je suis avec vous, Dit l'Éternel des armées.
4 Ach dá ainneoin sin uile bíodh misneach agat, a Zarubáibil, a deir an Tiarna, agus agatsa freisin, a Iósua, a mhic Iózádác, a ardsagairt, agus agaibhse, a mhuintir uile na tíre, a deir an Tiarna. I mbun na hoibre libh anois! Óir táimse in bhur dteannta, a deir Tiarna na Slua.
4 Pues ahora, Zorobabel, esfuérzate, dice Jehová; esfuérzate también Josué, hijo de Josadac, gran sacerdote; y cobra ánimo, pueblo todo de la tierra, dice Jehová, y obrad: porque yo soy con vosotros, dice Jehová de los ejércitos.
4 Und nun Serubabel, sei getrost! spricht der HERR; sei getrost, Josua, du Sohn Jozadaks, du Hoherpriester! sei getrost alles Volk im Lande! spricht der HERR, und arbeitet! denn ich bin mit euch, spricht der HERR Zebaoth.
5 The agreement which I made with you when you came out of Egypt, and my spirit, are with you still; have no fear.
5 Je reste fidèle à l'alliance que j'ai faite avec vous Quand vous sortîtes de l'Égypte, Et mon esprit est au milieu de vous; Ne craignez pas!
5 Is ann fós don chonradh a rinne mé libh nuair a tháinig sibh amach as an Éigipt agus tá mo spiorad in bhur measc. Ná bíodh aon eagla oraibh!’
5 Según el pacto que concerté con vosotros a vuestra salida de Egipto, así mi espíritu estará en medio de vosotros: no temáis.
5 Nach dem Wort, da ich mit euch einen Bund machte, da ihr aus Ägypten zogt, soll mein Geist unter euch bleiben. Fürchtet euch nicht!
6 For this is what the Lord of armies has said: In a short time I will make a shaking of the heavens and the earth and the sea and the dry land;
6 Car ainsi parle l'Éternel des armées: Encore un peu de temps, Et j'ébranlerai les cieux et la terre, La mer et le sec;
6 Óir is mar seo a labhraíonn Tiarna na Slua: ‘I gceann tamaillín bainfidh mé croitheadh aon uair amháin eile as na spéartha agus as an domhan, as an bhfarraige agus as an talamh tirim.
6 Porque así dice Jehová de los ejércitos: De aquí á poco aun haré yo temblar los cielos y la tierra, y la mar y la seca:
6 Denn so spricht der HERR Zebaoth: Es ist noch ein kleines dahin, daß ich Himmel und Erde, das Meer und das Trockene bewegen werde.
7 And I will make a shaking of all the nations, and the desired things of all nations will come: and I will make this house full of my glory, says the Lord of armies.
7 J'ébranlerai toutes les nations; Les trésors de toutes les nations viendront, Et je remplirai de gloire cette maison, Dit l'Éternel des armées.
7 Suaithfidh mé na ciníocha uile agus tiocfaidh stórtha na náisiún go léir isteach chugaibh agus líonfaidh mé an Teampall seo le glóir, a deir Tiarna na Slua!
7 Y haré temblar á todas las gentes, y vendrá el Deseado de todas las gentes; y henchiré esta casa de gloria, ha dicho Jehová de los ejércitos.
7 Ja, alle Heiden will ich bewegen. Da soll dann kommen aller Heiden Bestes; und ich will dies Haus voll Herrlichkeit machen, spricht der HERR Zebaoth.
8 The silver is mine and the gold is mine, says the Lord of armies.
8 L'argent est à moi, et l'or est à moi, Dit l'Éternel des armées.
8 Is liomsa an t‑airgead; is liomsa an t‑ór. Is é Tiarna na Slua a deir é.
8 Mía es la plata, y mío el oro, dice Jehová de los ejércitos.
8 Denn mein ist Silber und Gold, spricht der HERR Zebaoth.
9 The second glory of this house will be greater than the first, says the Lord of armies: and in this place I will give peace, says the Lord of armies.
9 La gloire de cette dernière maison sera plus grande Que celle de la première, Dit l'Éternel des armées; Et c'est dans ce lieu que je donnerai la paix, Dit l'Éternel des armées.
9 Sáróidh glóir nua an Teampaill seo an chéadghlóir a bhí aige, a deir Tiarna na Slua, agus is san áit seo a dháilfidh mé oraibh an tsíocháin, a deir Tiarna na Slua.’ ” Séantar an Neamhghlan
9 La gloria de aquesta casa postrera será mayor que la de la primera, ha dicho Jehová de los ejércitos; y daré paz en este lugar, dice Jehová de los ejércitos.
9 Es soll die Herrlichkeit dieses letzten Hauses größer werden, denn des ersten gewesen ist, spricht der HERR Zebaoth; und ich will Frieden geben an diesem Ort, spricht der HERR Zebaoth.
10 On the twenty-fourth day of the ninth month, in the second year of Darius, the word of the Lord came by Haggai the prophet, saying,
10 le vingt-quatrième jour du neuvième mois, la seconde année de Darius, la parole de l'Éternel se révéla par Aggée, le prophète, en ces mots:
10 Sa dara bliain de réimeas Dháire rí, ar an gceathrú lá is fiche den naoú mí labhraíodh briathar an Tiarna leis an bhfáidh Hagaí mar a leanas:
10 A veinticuatro del noveno mes, en el segundo año de Darío, fué palabra de Jehová por mano del profeta Haggeo, diciendo:
10 Am vierundzwanzigsten Tage des neunten Monats, im zweiten Jahr des Darius, geschah des HERRN Wort zu dem Propheten Haggai und sprach:
11 These are the words of the Lord of armies: Put now a point of law to the priests, saying,
11 Ainsi parle l'Éternel des armées: Propose aux sacrificateurs cette question sur la loi:
11 “Mar seo a labhraíonn Tiarna na Slua: ‘Iarr ar na sagairt breith a thabhairt ar an gceist seo:
11 Así ha dicho Jehová de los ejércitos: Pregunta ahora á los sacerdotes acerca de la ley, diciendo:
11 So spricht der HERR Zebaoth: Frage die Priester um das Gesetz und sprich:
12 If anyone has some holy flesh folded in the skirt of his robe, will bread or soup or wine or oil or any other food be made holy if touched by his skirt? And the priests answering said, No.
12 Si quelqu'un porte dans le pan de son vêtement de la chair consacrée, et qu'il touche avec son vêtement du pain, des mets, du vin, de l'huile, ou un aliment quelconque, ces choses seront-elles sanctifiées? Les sacrificateurs répondirent: Non!
12 Má bhíonn píosa feola coisricthe á iompar ag duine i bpóca aráin nó le hanraith nó le fíon nó le hola nó le bia ar bith, an mbíonn sé sin coisricthe freisin?’ ” “Ní bhíonn ná coisricthe,” d'fhreagair na sagairt.
12 Si llevare alguno las carnes sagradas en la falda de su ropa, y con el vuelo de ella tocare el pan, ó la vianda, ó el vino, ó el aceite, ú otra cualquier comida, ¿será santificado? Y respondieron los sacerdotes, y dijeron: No.
12 Wenn jemand heiliges Fleisch trüge in seines Kleides Zipfel und rührte darnach an mit seinem Zipfel Brot, Gemüse, Wein, Öl oder was es für Speise wäre: würde es auch heilig? und die Priester antworteten und sprachen: Nein.
13 Then Haggai said, Will any of these be made unclean by the touch of one who is unclean through touching a dead body? And the priests answering said, It will be made unclean.
13 Et Aggée dit: Si quelqu'un souillé par le contact d'un cadavre touche toutes ces choses, seront-elles souillées? Les sacrificateurs répondirent: Elles seront souillées.
13 Dúirt Hagaí ansin: “Duine atá neamhghlan toisc gur bhain sé le marbhán, má bhaineann sé le haon cheann acu sin, an mbíonn sé sin neamhghlan?” “Bíonn go deimhin,” dúirt na sagairt, á fhreagairt.
13 Y dijo Haggeo: Si un inmundo á causa de cuerpo muerto tocare alguna cosa de éstas, ¿será inmunda? Y respondieron los sacerdotes, y dijeron: Inmunda será.
13 Haggai sprach: Wo aber jemand von einem Toten unrein wäre und deren eines anrührte, würde es auch unrein? Die Priester antworteten und sprachen: Es würde unrein.
14 Then Haggai said, So is this people and so is this nation before me, says the Lord; and so is every work of their hands; and the offering they give there is unclean.
14 Alors Aggée, reprenant la parole, dit: Tel est ce peuple, telle est cette nation devant moi, dit l'Éternel, Telles sont toutes les oeuvres de leurs mains; Ce qu'ils m'offrent là est souillé.
14 Mar fhreagra air sin dúirt Hagaí: “Is é an dála céanna ag an bpobal seo é agus is é an dála céanna ag an náisiún seo é i mo láthairse, a deir Tiarna na Slua, agus is é an dála céanna ag saothar uile a lámh é agus is neamhghlan freisin cibé ofrálacha a dhéanann siad anseo.
14 Y respondió Haggeo y dijo: Así es este pueblo, y esta gente, delante de mí, dice Jehová; y asimismo toda obra de sus manos; y todo lo que aquí ofrecen es inmundo.
14 Da antwortete Haggai und sprach: Ebenalso sind dies Volk und diese Leute vor mir auch, spricht der HERR; und all ihrer Hände Werk und was sie opfern ist unrein.
15 And now, give thought, looking back from this day to the time before one stone was put on another in the Temple of the Lord:
15 Considérez donc attentivement Ce qui s'est passé jusqu'à ce jour, Avant qu'on eût mis pierre sur pierre au temple de l'Éternel!
15 “Déanaigí machnamh anois ar a dtarlóidh ón lá seo amach. Sular cuireadh cloch ar mhuin cloiche i dTeampall an Tiarna cén bhail a bhí oraibhse?
15 Ahora pues, poned vuestro corazón desde este día en adelante, antes que pusiesen piedra sobre piedra en el templo de Jehová,
15 Und nun schauet, wie es euch gegangen ist von diesem Tage an und zuvor, ehe denn ein Stein auf den andern gelegt ward am Tempel des HERRN:
16 How, when anyone came to a store of twenty measures, there were only ten: when anyone went to the wine-store to get fifty vessels full, there were only twenty.
16 Alors, quand on venait à un tas de vingt mesures, Il n'y en avait que dix; Quand on venait à la cuve pour puiser cinquante mesures, Il n'y en avait que vingt.
16 Nuair a thagadh duine go dtí carn arbhair ar chóir fiche miosúr a bheith ann, ní bhíodh ann ach deich gcinn; nuair a thagadh sé go dtí cantaoir chun caoga dabhach a tharraingt aisti, ní bhíodh inti ach fiche ceann.
16 Antes que fuesen estas cosas, venían al montón de veinte hanegas, y había diez; venían al lagar para sacar cincuenta cántaros del lagar, y había veinte.
16 daß, wenn einer zum Kornhaufen kam, der zwanzig Maß haben sollte, so waren kaum zehn da; kam er zur Kelter und meinte fünfzig Eimer zu schöpfen, so waren kaum zwanzig da.
17 And I sent burning and wasting and a rain of ice-drops on all the works of your hands; but still you were not turned to me, says the Lord.
17 Je vous ai frappés par la rouille et par la nielle, et par la grêle; J'ai frappé tout le travail de vos mains. Malgré cela, vous n'êtes pas revenus à moi, dit l'Éternel.
17 Le smoladh, coincleach agus clochshneachta mhill mé sibhse agus saothar uile bhur lámh; ach níor fhill sibh orm, a deir an Tiarna.
17 Os herí con viento solano, y con tizoncillo, y con granizo en toda obra de vuestras manos; mas no os convertisteis á mí, dice Jehová.
17 Denn ich plagte euch mit Dürre, Brandkorn und Hagel in all eurer Arbeit; dennoch kehrtet ihr euch nicht zu mir, spricht der HERR.
18 And now, give thought; looking on from this day, from the twenty-fourth day of the ninth month, from the time when the base of the Lord's house was put in its place, give thought to it.
18 Considérez attentivement Ce qui s'est passé jusqu'à ce jour, Jusqu'au vingt-quatrième jour du neuvième mois, Depuis le jour où le temple de l'Éternel a été fondé, Considérez-le attentivement!
18 Déanaigí machnamh ar a dtarlóidh ón lá inniu amach [ón gceathrú lá is fiche den naoú mí, ón lá ar leagadh síos bunsraith Theampall an Tiarna], déanaigí machnamh
18 Pues poned ahora vuestro corazón desde este día en adelante, desde el día veinticuatro del noveno mes, desde el día que se echó el cimiento al templo de Jehová; poned vuestro corazón.
18 So schauet nun darauf von diesem Tage an und zuvor, nämlich von dem vierundzwanzigsten Tage des neunten Monats bis an den Tag, da der Tempel gegründet ist; schauet darauf!
19 Is the seed still in the store-house? have the vine and the fig-tree, the pomegranate and the olive-tree, still not given their fruit? from this day I will send my blessing on you.
19 Y avait-il encore de la semence dans les greniers? Même la vigne, le figuier, le grenadier et l'olivier, N'ont rien rapporté. Mais dès ce jour je répandrai ma bénédiction.
19 féachaint an gcaithfidh an síol fanacht sa scioból go fóill nó an amhlaidh nach dtabharfaidh an fhíniúin agus an crann fígí agus an phomagránait agus an ológ aon toradh uathu níos mó? Ón lá seo amach cuirfidh mé mo bheannacht oraibh.” Toghadh Zarubáibil
19 ¿Aun no está la simiente en el granero? ni la vid, ni la higuera, ni el granado, ni el árbol de la oliva ha todavía florecido: mas desde aqueste día daré bendición.
19 Denn kein Same liegt mehr in der Scheuer, so hat auch weder Weinstock, Feigenbaum, Granatbaum noch Ölbaum getragen; aber von diesem Tage an will ich Segen geben.
20 And the word of the Lord came a second time to Haggai, on the twenty-fourth day of the month, saying,
20 La parole de l'Éternel fut adressée pour la seconde fois à Aggée, le vingt-quatrième jour du mois, en ces mots:
20 Labhraíodh briathar an Tiarna le Hagaí an athuair ar an gceathrú lá is fiche den mhí mar a leanas:
20 Y fué segunda vez palabra de Jehová á Haggeo, á los veinticuatro del mismo mes, diciendo:
20 Und des HERRN Wort geschah zum andernmal zu Haggai am vierundzwanzigsten Tage des Monats und sprach:
21 Say to Zerubbabel, ruler of Judah, I will make a shaking of the heavens and the earth,
21 Parle à Zorobabel, gouverneur de Juda, et dis: J'ébranlerai les cieux et la terre;
21 “Abair le Zarubáibil, gobharnóir Iúdá: ‘Bainfidh mé croitheadh as na spéartha agus as an domhan.
21 Habla á Zorobabel, gobernador de Judá, diciendo: Yo haré temblar los cielos y la tierra;
21 Sage Serubabel, dem Fürsten Juda's, und sprich: Ich will Himmel und Erde bewegen
22 Overturning the power of kingdoms; and I will send destruction on the strength of the kingdoms of the nations; by me war-carriages will be overturned with those who are in them; and the horses and the horsemen will come down, everyone by the sword of his brother.
22 Je renverserai le trône des royaumes, Je détruirai la force des royaumes des nations, Je renverserai les chars et ceux qui les montent; Les chevaux et leurs cavaliers seront abattus, L'un par l'épée de l'autre.
22 Leagfaidh mé ar lár ríchathaoireacha ríochtaí agus scriosfaidh mé cumhacht na náisiún; leagfaidh mé na carbaid agus na carbadóirí; titfidh capaill agus marcaigh síos, gach ceann acu le claíomh a chomharsan.
22 Y trastornaré el trono de los reinos, y destruiré la fuerza del reino de las gentes; y trastornaré el carro, y los que en él suben; y vendrán abajo los caballos, y los que en ellos montan, cada cual por la espada de su hermano.
22 und will die Stühle der Königreiche umkehren und die mächtigen Königreiche der Heiden vertilgen und will die Wagen mit ihren Reitern umkehren, daß Roß und Mann fallen sollen, ein jeglicher durch des andern Schwert.
23 In that day, says the Lord of armies, I will take you, O Zerubbabel, my servant, the son of Shealtiel, says the Lord, and will make you as a jewelled ring: for I have taken you to be mine, says the Lord of armies.
23 En ce jour-là, dit l'Éternel des armées, Je te prendrai, Zorobabel, fils de Schealthiel, Mon serviteur, dit l'Éternel, Et je te garderai comme un sceau; Car je t'ai choisi, dit l'Éternel des armées.
