1 Now you will give yourselves deep wounds for grief; they will put up a wall round us: they will give the judge of Israel a blow on the face with a rod.

1 Aber nun, du Kriegerin, rüste dich! denn man wird uns belagern und den Richter Israels mit der Rute auf den Backen schlagen.
2 And you, Beth-lehem Ephrathah, the least among the families of Judah, out of you one will come to me who is to be ruler in Israel; whose going out has been purposed from time past, from the eternal days.
2 (5:1) Et toi, Bethléhem Éphrata, Petite entre les milliers de Juda, De toi sortira pour moi Celui qui dominera sur Israël, Et dont l'origine remonte aux temps anciens, Aux jours de l'éternité.
2 Ach tusa, a Bheithil Eafrátá bíodh gur beag thú i measc chlanna Iúdá is asatsa a thiocfaidh chugam an té a bheidh ina cheann urra ar Iosrael, an té a dtéann a shinsearacht na cianta siar go dtí an t‑am fadó.
2 Mas tú, Beth-lehem Ephrata, pequeña para ser en los millares de Judá, de ti me saldrá el que será Señor en Israel; y sus salidas son desde el principio, desde los días del siglo.
2 Und du Bethlehem Ephrata, die du klein bist unter den Städten in Juda, aus dir soll mir kommen, der in Israel HERR sei, welches Ausgang von Anfang und von Ewigkeit her gewesen ist.
3 For this cause he will give them up till the time when she who is with child has given birth: then the rest of his brothers will come back to the children of Israel.
3 (5:2) C'est pourquoi il les livrera Jusqu'au temps où enfantera celle qui doit enfanter, Et le reste de ses frères Reviendra auprès des enfants d'Israël.
3 Sin é an fáth a dtréigfidh Dia iad go dtí go mbéarfar mac di siúd, a bhfuil tinneas clainne uirthi, ansin fillfidh iarmhar a bhráithre ar chlann Iosrael.
3 Empero los dejará hasta el tiempo que para la que ha de parir; y el resto de sus hermanos se tornará con los hijos de Israel.
3 Indes läßt er sie plagen bis auf die Zeit, daß die, so gebären soll, geboren habe; da werden dann die übrigen seiner Brüder wiederkommen zu den Kindern Israel.
4 And he will take his place and give food to his flock in the strength of the Lord, in the glory of the name of the Lord his God; and their resting-place will be safe: for now he will be great to the ends of the earth.
4 (5:3) Il se présentera, et il gouvernera avec la force de l'Éternel, Avec la majesté du nom de l'Éternel, son Dieu: Et ils auront une demeure assurée, Car il sera glorifié jusqu'aux extrémités de la terre.
4 Seasfaidh sé go daingean agus beathóidh sé a thréad trí chumhacht an Tiarna agus le mórgacht ainm an Tiarna, a Dhia. Mairfidh siad go slán sábháilte mar leathnóidh a chumhacht amach ansin go críocha na cruinne.
4 Y estará, y apacentará con fortaleza de Jehová, con grandeza del nombre de Jehová su Dios: y asentarán; porque ahora será engrandecido hasta los fines de la tierra.
4 Er wird aber auftreten und weiden in der Kraft des HERRN und im Sieg des Namens des HERRN, seines Gottes. Und sie werden wohnen; denn er wird zur selben Zeit herrlich werden, soweit die Welt ist.
5 And this will be our peace: when the Assyrian comes into our country and his feet are in our land, then we will put up against him seven keepers of the flocks and eight chiefs among men.
5 (5:4) C'est lui qui ramènera la paix. Lorsque l'Assyrien viendra dans notre pays, Et qu'il pénétrera dans nos palais, Nous ferons lever contre lui sept pasteurs Et huit princes du peuple.
5 Beidh sé féin ina údar síochána; nuair a thiocfaidh an Asaír isteach inár dtír, nuair a chuirfidh siad cos laistigh dár gcríocha, músclóimid seachtar aoire agus ochtar taoiseach ina gcoinne.
5 Y éste será nuestra paz. Cuando Assur viniere á nuestra tierra, y cuando pisare nuestros palacios, entonces levantaremos contra él siete pastores, y ocho hombres principales;
5 Und er wird unser Friede sein. Wenn Assur in unser Land fällt und in unsre Häuser bricht, so werden wir sieben Hirten und acht Fürsten wider ihn bestellen,
6 And they will make waste the land of Assyria with the sword, and the land of Nimrod with the edge of the sword: he will give us salvation from the Assyrian when he comes into our country, when his feet come inside the limit of our land.
6 (5:5) Ils feront avec l'épée leur pâture du pays d'Assyrie Et du pays de Nimrod au dedans de ses portes. Il nous délivrera ainsi de l'Assyrien, Lorsqu'il viendra dans notre pays, Et qu'il pénétrera sur notre territoire.
6 Smachtóidh siad tír na hAsaíre le claíomh agus dúiche Niomrod le treise lainne. Fuasclóidh sé sinn ón Asaír má thagann siad isteach inár dtír, fiú má chuireann siad cos laistigh dár gcríocha. Cinniúint Fhuílleach Iacóib
6 Y comerán la tierra de Assur á cuchillo, y la tierra de Nimrod con sus espadas: y nos librará del Asirio, cuando viniere contra nuestra tierra y hollare nuestros términos.
6 die das Land Assur verderben mit dem Schwert und das Land Nimrods mit ihren bloßen Waffen. Also wird er uns von Assur erretten, wenn er in unser Land fallen und in unsre Grenzen brechen wird.
7 And the rest of Jacob will be among the mass of peoples like dew from the Lord, like showers on the grass, which may not be kept back by man, or be waiting for the sons of men.
7 (5:6) Le reste de Jacob sera au milieu des peuples nombreux Comme une rosée qui vient de l'Éternel, Comme des gouttes d'eau sur l'herbe: Elles ne comptent pas sur l'homme, Elles ne dépendent pas des enfants des hommes.
7 Agus beidh fuílleach Iacóib i measc a lán náisiún mar a bheadh an drúcht a thagann ón Tiarna nó mar bhraonta báistí ar an bhféar glas. Ní chuirfidh siad a muinín as aon fhear; ní bheidh siad ag tnúth le cabhair ó mhuintir an tsaoil seo.
7 Y será el residuo de Jacob en medio de muchos pueblos, como el rocío de Jehová, como las lluvias sobre la hierba, las cuales no esperan varón, ni aguardan á hijos de hombres.
7 Und es werden die übrigen aus Jakob unter vielen Völkern sein, wie ein Tau vom HERRN und wie die Tröpflein aufs Gras, das auf niemand harrt noch auf Menschen wartet.
8 And the rest of Jacob will be among the nations, in the middle of the mass of peoples, like a lion among the beasts of the woods, like a young lion among the flocks of sheep: if he goes through, they will be crushed under foot and pulled to bits, and there will be no saviour.
8 (5:7) Le reste de Jacob sera parmi les nations, Au milieu des peuples nombreux, Comme un lion parmi les bêtes de la forêt, Comme un lionceau parmi les troupeaux de brebis: Lorsqu'il passe, il foule et déchire, Et personne ne délivre.
8 Beidh fuílleach Iacóib i measc a lán náisiún [i measc a lán pobal], mar leon i measc ainmhithe na foraoise nó mar liopard i measc tréada caorach. Nuair a théann sé thart gabhann sé de chosa ina chreach agus stróiceann sé as a chéile í agus ní sciobfar uaidh í go deo.
8 Asimismo será el resto de Jacob entre las gentes, en medio de muchos pueblos, como el león entre las bestias de la montaña, como el cachorro del león entre las manadas de las ovejas, el cual si pasare, y hollare, y arrebatare, no hay quien escape.
8 Ja, die übrigen aus Jakob werden unter den Heiden bei vielen Völkern sein wie ein Löwe unter den Tieren im Walde, wie ein junger Löwe unter einer Herde Schafe, welchem niemand wehren kann, wenn er dadurch geht, zertritt und zerreißt.
9 Your hand is lifted up against those who are against you, and all your haters will be cut off.
9 (5:8) Que ta main se lève sur tes adversaires, Et que tous tes ennemis soient exterminés!
9 Ardóidh tú do lámha ín aghaidh d'eascairde agus díothófar do naimhde go léir. Díoltas an Tiarna
9 Tu mano se alzará sobre tus enemigos, y todos tus adversarios serán talados.
9 Denn deine Hand wird siegen wider alle deine Widersacher, daß alle deine Feinde müssen ausgerottet werden.
10 And it will come about in that day, says the Lord, that I will take away your horses from you, and will give your war-carriages to destruction:
10 (5:9) En ce jour-là, dit l'Éternel, J'exterminerai du milieu de toi tes chevaux, Et je détruirai tes chars;
10 An lá sin - a deir an Tiarna - dísceoidh mé na capaill atá agat agus scriosfaidh mé do chuid carbad.
10 Y acontecerá en aquel día, dice Jehová, que haré matar tus caballos de en medio de ti, y haré destruir tus carros.
10 Zur selben Zeit, spricht der HERR, will ich deine Rosse von dir tun und deine Wagen zunichte machen;
11 I will have the towns of your land cut off and all your strong places pulled down:
11 (5:10) J'exterminerai les villes de ton pays, Et je renverserai toutes tes forteresses;
11 Scartálfaidh mé bailte do thíre agus leagfaidh mé do dhúnta uile.
11 Haré también destruir las ciudades de tu tierra, y arruinaré todas tus fortalezas.
11 und will die Städte deines Landes ausrotten und alle deine Festen zerbrechen.
12 I will put an end to your use of secret arts, and you will have no more readers of signs:
12 (5:11) J'exterminerai de ta main les enchantements, Et tu n'auras plus de magiciens;
12 Bainfidh mé do chuid orthanna as do láimh agus ní bheidh aon draoi agat feasta.
12 Asimismo destruiré de tu mano las hechicerías, y no se hallarán en ti agoreros.
12 Und will die Zauberer bei dir ausrotten, daß keine Zeichendeuter bei dir bleiben sollen.
13 And I will have your images and your pillars cut off from you; and you will no longer give worship to the work of your hands.
13 (5:12) J'exterminerai du milieu de toi tes idoles et tes statues, Et tu ne te prosterneras plus devant l'ouvrage de tes mains;
13 Millfidh mé na híola agus na liagáin atá agat agus ní dhéanfaidh tú sléachtadh níos mó do dhéantús do lámh féin.
13 Y haré destruir tus esculturas y tus imágenes de en medio de ti, y nunca más te inclinarás á la obra de tus manos;
13 Ich will deine Bilder und Götzen von dir ausrotten, daß du nicht mehr sollst anbeten deiner Hände Werk.
14 I will have your Asherahs pulled up from among you: and I will send destruction on your images.
14 (5:13) J'exterminerai du milieu de toi tes idoles d'Astarté, Et je détruirai tes villes.
14 Stoithfidh mé do chuaillí naofa aníos as an talamh agus treascróidh mé do chuid íomhánna cloch.
14 Y arrancaré tus bosques de en medio de ti, y destruiré tus ciudades.
14 Und will deine Ascherabilder zerbrechen und deine Städte vertilgen.
15 And my punishment will be effected on the nations with such burning wrath as they have not had word of.
15 (5:14) J'exercerai ma vengeance avec colère, avec fureur, sur les nations Qui n'ont pas écouté.
