1 In the second year of the rule of Nebuchadnezzar, Nebuchadnezzar had dreams; and his spirit was troubled and his sleep went from him.
1 La seconde année du règne de Nebucadnetsar, Nebucadnetsar eut des songes. Il avait l'esprit agité, et ne pouvait dormir.

1 Y EN el segundo año del reinado de Nabucodonosor, soñó Nabucodonosor sueños, y perturbóse su espíritu, y su sueño se huyó de él.
1 Im zweiten Jahr des Reiches Nebukadnezars hatte Nebukadnezar einen Traum, davon er erschrak, daß er aufwachte.
2 Then the king gave orders that the wonder-workers, and the users of secret arts, and those who made use of evil powers, and the Chaldaeans, were to be sent for to make clear to the king his dreams. So they came and took their places before the king.
2 Le roi fit appeler les magiciens, les astrologues, les enchanteurs et les Chaldéens, pour qu'ils lui disent ses songes. Ils vinrent, et se présentèrent devant le roi.
2 Ansin d'ordaigh an rí glaoch ar an lucht gintlíochta agus draíochta, ar na hasarlaithe agus ar na Caildéigh, chun a thaibhrimh a insint don rí. Tháinig siadsan isteach dá bhrí sin agus sheas siad i láthair an rí.
2 Y mandó el rey llamar magos, astrólogos, y encantadores, y Caldeos, para que mostrasen al rey sus sueños. Vinieron pues, y se presentaron delante del rey.
2 Und er hieß alle Seher und Weisen und Zauberer und Chaldäer zusammenfordern, daß sie dem König seinen Traum sagen sollten. Und sie kamen und traten vor den König.
3 And the king said to them, I have had a dream, and my spirit is troubled by the desire to have the dream made clear to me.
3 Le roi leur dit: J'ai eu un songe; mon esprit est agité, et je voudrais connaître ce songe.
3 Dúirt an rí leo ansin: “Chonaic mé taibhreamh agus buaireadh mo spiorad le fonn an taibhreamh a thuiscint.”
3 Y el rey les dijo: He soñado un sueño, y mi espíritu se ha perturbado por saber del sueño.
3 Und der König sprach zu ihnen: Ich habe einen Traum gehabt, der hat mich erschreckt; und ich wollte gern wissen, was es für ein Traum gewesen sei.
4 Then the Chaldaeans said to the king in the Aramaean language, O King, have life for ever: give your servants an account of your dream, and we will make clear to you the sense of it.
4 Les Chaldéens répondirent au roi en langue araméenne: O roi, vis éternellement! dis le songe à tes serviteurs, et nous en donnerons l'explication.
4 D'fhreagair na Caildéigh an rí: “A rí, fad gach aon fhaid ar do shaol. Inis do thaibhreamh do do shearbhóntaí agus léireoimid a chiall.”
4 Entonces hablaron los Caldeos al rey en lengua aramea: Rey, para siempre vive: di el sueño á tus siervos, y mostraremos la declaración.
4 Da sprachen die Chaldäer zum König auf chaldäisch: Der König lebe ewiglich! Sage deinen Knechten den Traum, so wollen wir ihn deuten.
5 The king made answer and said to the Chaldaeans, This is my decision: if you do not make clear to me the dream and the sense of it, you will be cut in bits and your houses made waste.
5 Le roi reprit la parole et dit aux Chaldéens: La chose m'a échappé; si vous ne me faites connaître le songe et son explication, vous serez mis en pièces, et vos maisons seront réduites en un tas d'immondices.
5 D'fhreagair an rí na Caildéigh: “Chun gurbh eol daoibh mo bheartas cinnte: mura léiríonn sibh mo thaibhreamh agus a chiall domsa, stollfar bhur mbaill óna chéile agus scartálfar bhur dtithe ó bhonn.
5 Respondió el rey y dijo á los Caldeos: El negocio se me fué: si no me mostráis el sueño y su declaración, seréis hechos cuartos, y vuestras casas serán puestas por muladares.
5 Der König antwortete und sprach zu den Chaldäern: Es ist mir entfallen. Werdet ihr mir den Traum nicht anzeigen und ihn deuten, so sollt ihr in Stücke zerhauen und eure Häuser schändlich zerstört werden.
6 But if you make clear the dream and the sense of it, you will have from me offerings and rewards and great honour: so make clear to me the dream and the sense of it.
6 Mais si vous me dites le songe et son explication, vous recevrez de moi des dons et des présents, et de grands honneurs. C'est pourquoi dites-moi le songe et son explication.
6 Ach má léiríonn sibh mo thaibhreamh agus a chiall dom gheobhaidh sibh uaim tabhartais agus luaíochtaí agus iomad onóra. Léirígí dom an taibhreamh dá bhrí sin agus mínigí dom a chiall.”
6 Y si mostrareis el sueño y su declaración, recibiréis de mí dones y mercedes y grande honra: por tanto, mostradme el sueño y su declaración.
6 Werdet ihr mir aber den Traum anzeigen und deuten, so sollt ihr Geschenke, Gaben und große Ehre von mir haben. Darum so sagt mir den Traum und seine Deutung.
7 A second time they said in answer, Let the king give his servants an account of his dream, and we will make clear the sense.
7 Ils répondirent pour la seconde fois: Que le roi dise le songe à ses serviteurs, et nous en donnerons l'explication.
7 D'fhreagair siad athuair: “Insíodh an rí a thaibhreamh dá shearbhóntaí, agus léireoimidne a chiall.”
7 Respondieron la segunda vez, y dijeron: Diga el rey el sueño á sus siervos, y mostraremos su declaración.
7 Sie antworteten wiederum und sprachen: Der König sage seinen Knechten den Traum, so wollen wir ihn deuten.
8 The king made answer and said, I am certain that you are attempting to get more time, because you see that my decision is fixed;
8 Le roi reprit la parole et dit: Je m'aperçois, en vérité, que vous voulez gagner du temps, parce que vous voyez que la chose m'a échappé.
8 Dúirt an rí á bhfreagairt: “Is eol dom go bhfuil sibh ag feitheamh na faille mar go bhfuil a fhios agaibh go bhfuil mo bheartas do-athraithe fógartha,
8 El rey respondió, y dijo: Yo conozco ciertamente que vosotros ponéis dilaciones, porque veis que el negocio se me ha ido.
8 Der König antwortete und sprach: Wahrlich, ich merke es, daß ihr Frist sucht, weil ihr seht, daß mir's entfallen ist.
9 That if you do not make my dream clear to me there is only one fate for you: for you have made ready false and evil words to say before me till the times are changed: so give me an account of the dream, and I will be certain that you are able to make the sense of it clear.
9 Si donc vous ne me faites pas connaître le songe, la même sentence vous enveloppera tous; vous voulez vous préparez à me dire des mensonges et des faussetés, en attendant que les temps soient changés. C'est pourquoi dites-moi le songe, et je saurai si vous êtes capables de m'en donner l'explication.
9 mura n‑insíonn sibh an taibhreamh domsa, nach bhfuil ach an t‑aon daorbhreith amháin i ndán daoibh. Tá sé beartaithe agaibh focail éithigh agus ráite oilc a labhairt i mo láthair go sleamhnaí an t‑am thart. Insígí mo thaibhreamh dom dá bhrí sin agus beidh a fhios agam an féidir libh a chiall a léiriú dom.”
9 Si no me mostráis el sueño, una sola sentencia será de vosotros. Ciertamente preparáis respuesta mentirosa y perversa que decir delante de mí, entre tanto que se muda el tiempo: por tanto, decidme el sueño, para que yo entienda que me podéis mostrar su declaración.
9 Aber werdet ihr mir nicht den Traum sagen, so geht das Recht über euch, als die ihr Lügen und Gedichte vor mir zu reden euch vorgenommen habt, bis die Zeit vorübergehe. Darum so sagt mir den Traum, so kann ich merken, daß ihr auch die Deutung trefft.
10 Then the Chaldaeans said to the king in answer, There is not a man on earth able to make clear the king's business; for no king, however great his power, has ever made such a request to any wonder-worker or user of secret arts or Chaldaean.
10 Les Chaldéens répondirent au roi: Il n'est personne sur la terre qui puisse dire ce que demande le roi; aussi jamais roi, quelque grand et puissant qu'il ait été, n'a exigé une pareille chose d'aucun magicien, astrologue ou Chaldéen.
10 D'fhreagair na Caildéigh an rí: “Níl aon duine ar talamh a d'fhéadfadh gnó seo an rí a fháil amach: agus, dá chomhartha sin, níl rí ná rialtóir ná taoiseach a d'iarr a leithéid ar dhraoi ná ar asarlaí ná ar Chaildéach.
10 Los Caldeos respondieron delante del rey, y dijeron: No hay hombre sobre la tierra que pueda declarar el negocio del rey: demás de esto, ningún rey, príncipe, ni señor, preguntó cosa semejante á ningún mago, ni astrólogo, ni Caldeo.
10 Da antworteten die Chaldäer vor dem König und sprachen zu ihm: Es ist kein Mensch auf Erden, der sagen könne, was der König fordert. So ist auch kein König, wie groß oder mächtig er sei, der solches von irgend einem Sternseher, Weisen oder Chaldäer fordere.
11 The king's request is a very hard one, and there is no other who is able to make it clear to the king, but the gods, whose living-place is not with flesh.
11 Ce que le roi demande est difficile; il n'y a personne qui puisse le dire au roi, excepté les dieux, dont la demeure n'est pas parmi les hommes.
11 Is crua an ní é seo a lorgann an rí agus ní fhéadfadh aon duine é a léiriú don rí ach na déithe nach bhfuil a gcónaí i measc daoine.”
11 Finalmente, el negocio que el rey demanda, es singular, ni hay quien lo pueda declarar delante del rey, salvo los dioses cuya morada no es con la carne.
11 Denn was der König fordert, ist zu hoch, und ist auch sonst niemand, der es vor dem König sagen könne, ausgenommen die Götter, die bei den Menschen nicht wohnen.
12 Because of this the king was angry and full of wrath, and gave orders for the destruction of all the wise men of Babylon.
12 Là-dessus le roi se mit en colère, et s'irrita violemment. Il ordonna qu'on fasse périr tous les sages de Babylone.
12 Dá bharr seo tháinig racht feirge ar an rí agus d'ordaigh sé saoithe uile na Bablóine a scriosadh.
12 Por esto el rey con ira y con grande enojo, mandó que matasen á todos los sabios de Babilonia.
12 Da ward der König sehr zornig und befahl, alle Weisen zu Babel umzubringen.
13 So the order went out that the wise men were to be put to death; and they were looking for Daniel and his friends to put them to death.
13 La sentence fut publiée, les sages étaient mis à mort, et l'on cherchait Daniel et ses compagnons pour les faire périr.
13 Fógraíodh aithne seo an rí na saoithe uile a chur chun báis, agus chuathas ar thóir Dhainéil agus a chompánach chun a mbásaithe.
13 Y publicóse el mandamiento, y los sabios eran llevados á la muerte; y buscaron á Daniel y á sus compañeros para matarlos.
13 Und das Urteil ging aus, daß man die Weisen töten sollte; und Daniel samt seinen Gesellen ward auch gesucht, daß man sie tötete.
14 Then Daniel gave an answer with wisdom and good sense to Arioch, the captain of the king's armed men, who had gone out to put to death the wise men of Babylon;
14 Alors Daniel s'adressa d'une manière prudente et sensée à Arjoc, chef des gardes du roi, qui était sorti pour mettre à mort les sages de Babylone.
14 Ach le stuaim agus le gaois d'fhreagair Dainéil Airíoc, ceannaire gharda an rí a chuaigh amach chun saoithe na Bablóine a bhású.
14 Entonces Daniel habló avisada y prudentemente á Arioch, capitán de los de la guarda del rey, que había salido para matar los sabios de Babilonia.
14 Da erwiderte Daniel klug und verständig dem Arioch, dem obersten Richter des Königs, welcher auszog, zu töten die Weisen zu Babel.
15 He made answer and said to Arioch, O captain of the king, why is the king's order so cruel? Then Arioch gave Daniel an account of the business.
15 Il prit la parole et dit à Arjoc, commandant du roi: Pourquoi la sentence du roi est-elle si sévère? Arjoc exposa la chose à Daniel.
15 Dúirt sé le hAiríoc, ceann feadhna an rí: “Cad ina thaobh,” ar seisean, “go bhfuil ordú chomh dian sin ón rí?” D'inis Airíoc an scéal do Dhainéil,
15 Habló y dijo á Arioch capitán del rey: ¿Qué es la causa que este mandamiento se publica de parte del rey tan apresuradamente? Entonces Arioch declaró el negocio á Daniel.
15 Und er fing an und sprach zu des Königs Vogt, Arioch: Warum ist ein so strenges Urteil vom König ausgegangan? Und Arioch zeigte es dem Daniel an.
16 And Daniel went in and made a request to the king to give him time and he would make clear the sense of his dream to the king.
16 Et Daniel se rendit vers le roi, et le pria de lui accorder du temps pour donner au roi l'explication.
16 agus isteach le Dainéil agus d'iarr ar an rí aga a thabhairt dó chun a chiall a léiriú don rí.
16 Y Daniel entró, y pidió al rey que le diese tiempo, y que él mostraría al rey la declaración.
16 Da ging Daniel hinein und bat den König, daß er ihm Frist gäbe, damit er die Deutung dem König sagen möchte.
17 And Daniel went to his house and gave his friends Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah the news:
17 Ensuite Daniel alla dans sa maison, et il instruisit de cette affaire Hanania, Mischaël et Azaria, ses compagnons,
17 D'fhill Dainéil ar a theach agus lig sé an scéal le Hanainiá, Míséil agus Azairiá, a chompánaigh,
17 Fuése luego Daniel á su casa, y declaró el negocio á Ananías, Misael, y Azarías, sus compañeros,
17 Und Daniel ging heim und zeigte solches an seinen Gesellen, Hananja, Misael und Asarja,
18 So that they might make a request for the mercy of the God of heaven in the question of this secret; so that Daniel and his friends might not come to destruction with the rest of the wise men of Babylon.
18 les engageant à implorer la miséricorde du Dieu des cieux, afin qu'on ne fît pas périr Daniel et ses compagnons avec le reste des sages de Babylone.
18 chun go n‑impídís trócaire Dé neimhe i dtaobh na rúndiamhaire seo, i dtreo nach scriosfaí Dainéil agus a chompánaigh i dteannta shaoithe eile na Bablóine.
18 Para demandar misericordias del Dios del cielo sobre este misterio, y que Daniel y sus compañeros no pereciesen con los otros sabios de Babilonia.
18 daß sie den Gott des Himmels um Gnade bäten solches verborgenen Dinges halben, damit Daniel und seine Gesellen nicht samt den andern Weisen zu Babel umkämen.
19 Then the secret was made clear to Daniel in a vision of the night. And Daniel gave blessing to the God of heaven.
19 Alors le secret fut révélé à Daniel dans une vision pendant la nuit. Et Daniel bénit le Dieu des cieux.
19 Ansin foilsíodh an rundiamhair do Dhainéil i bhfís oíche. An sin bheannaigh Dainéil Dia neimhe.
19 Entonces el arcano fué revelado á Daniel en visión de noche; por lo cual bendijo Daniel al Dios del cielo.
19 Da ward Daniel solch verborgenes Ding durch ein Gesicht des Nachts offenbart.
20 And Daniel said in answer, May the name of God be praised for ever and ever: for wisdom and strength are his:
20 Daniel prit la parole et dit: Béni soit le nom de Dieu, d'éternité en éternité! A lui appartiennent la sagesse et la force.
20 Dúirt Dainéil: Go mbeannaítear ainm Dé ó aois go haois mar gur aige atá eagna agus cumhacht.
20 Y Daniel habló, y dijo: Sea bendito el nombre de Dios de siglo hasta siglo: porque suya es la sabiduría y la fortaleza:
20 Darüber lobte Daniel den Gott des Himmels, fing an und sprach: Gelobt sei der Name Gottes von Ewigkeit zu Ewigkeit! denn sein ist beides, Weisheit und Stärke.
21 By him times and years are changed: by him kings are taken away and kings are lifted up: he gives wisdom to the wise, and knowledge to those whose minds are awake:
21 C'est lui qui change les temps et les circonstances, qui renverse et qui établit les rois, qui donne la sagesse aux sages et la science à ceux qui ont de l'intelligence.
21 Athraíonn sé uaine agus réanna agus is é a leagann síos ríthe agus a ardaíonn ríthe, a thugann eagna do shaoithe, agus eolas dóibh siúd a bhfuil tuiscint acu.
21 Y él es el que muda los tiempos y las oportunidades: quita reyes, y pone reyes: da la sabiduría á los sabios, y la ciencia á los entendidos:
21 Er ändert Zeit und Stunde; er setzt Könige ab und setzt Könige ein; er gibt den Weisen ihre Weisheit und den Verständigen ihren Verstand;
22 He is the unveiler of deep and secret things: he has knowledge of what is in the dark, and the light has its living-place with him.
22 Il révèle ce qui est profond et caché, il connaît ce qui est dans les ténèbres, et la lumière demeure avec lui.
22 Is é a léiríonn a bhfuil domhain agus diamhair, a bhfuil a fhios aige cad atá sa dorchacht a bhfuil an solas ina chónaí fairis.
22 El revela lo profundo y lo escondido: conoce lo que está en tinieblas, y la luz mora con él.
22 er offenbart, was tief und verborgen ist; er weiß, was in der Finsternis liegt, denn bei ihm ist eitel Licht.
23 I give you praise and worship, O God of my fathers, who have given me wisdom and strength, and have now made clear to me what we were requesting from you: for you have given us knowledge of the king's business.
23 Dieu de mes pères, je te glorifie et je te loue de ce que tu m'as donné la sagesse et la force, et de ce que tu m'as fait connaître ce que nous t'avons demandé, de ce que tu nous as révélé le secret du roi.
23 Duitse, a Dhia m'aithreacha, a bheirim buíochas agus moladh Mar gur bhronn tú orm eagna agus [intleacht]; féach anois mhúin tú dom an ní ar ghuíomar thú ar a shon; léirigh tú dúinn fadhb an rí.
23 A ti, oh Dios de mis padres, confieso y te alabo, que me diste sabiduría y fortaleza, y ahora me enseñaste lo que te pedimos; pues nos has enseñado el negocio del rey.
23 Ich danke dir und lobe dich, Gott meiner Väter, der du mir Weisheit und Stärke verleihst und jetzt offenbart hast, darum wir dich gebeten haben; denn du hast uns des Königs Sache offenbart.
24 For this reason Daniel went to Arioch, to whom the king had given orders for the destruction of the wise men of Babylon, and said to him, Do not put to death the wise men of Babylon: take me in before the king and I will make clear to him the sense of the dream.
24 Après cela, Daniel se rendit auprès d'Arjoc, à qui le roi avait ordonné de faire périr les sages de Babylone; il alla, et lui parla ainsi: Ne fais pas périr les sages de Babylone! Conduis-moi devant le roi, et je donnerai au roi l'explication.
24 Chuaigh Dainéil isteach go hAiríoc ar thug an rí ordú dó saoithe na Bablóine a scriosadh. Chuaigh sé chuige agus dúirt: “Ná scrios saoithe na Bablóine: tabhair mise isteach i láthair an rí agus foilseoidh mé don rí a chiall siúd.”
24 Después de esto Daniel entró á Arioch, al cual el rey había puesto para matar á los sabios de Babilonia; fué, y díjole así: No mates á los sabios de Babilonia: llévame delante del rey, que yo mostraré al rey la declaración.
24 Da ging Daniel hinein zu Arioch, der vom König Befehl hatte, die Weisen zu Babel umzubringen, und sprach zu ihm also: Du sollst die Weisen zu Babel nicht umbringen, sondern führe mich hinein zum König, ich will dem König die Deutung sagen.
25 Then Arioch quickly took Daniel in before the king, and said to him, Here is a man from among the prisoners of Judah, who will make clear to the king the sense of the dream.
25 Arjoc conduisit promptement Daniel devant le roi, et lui parla ainsi: J'ai trouvé parmi les captifs de Juda un homme qui donnera l'explication au roi.
25 Ansin bhrostaigh Airíoc Dainéil isteach i láthair an rí agus dúirt sé leis: “Fuair mé i measc bránna Iúdá duine a inseoidh an chiall don rí.”
25 Entonces Arioch llevó prestamente á Daniel delante del rey, y díjole así: Un varón de los trasportados de Judá he hallado, el cual declarará al rey la interpretación.
25 Arioch brachte Daniel eilends hinein vor den König und sprach zu ihm also: Es ist einer gefunden unter den Gefangenen aus Juda, der dem König die Deutung sagen kann.
26 The king made answer and said to Daniel, whose name was Belteshazzar, Are you able to make clear to me the dream which I saw and its sense?
26 Le roi prit la parole et dit à Daniel, qu'on nommait Beltschatsar: Es-tu capable de me faire connaître le songe que j'ai eu et son explication?
26 Labhair an rí le Dainéil [ar a dtugtaí Béiltiseazar]: “An féidir leat,” ar seisean, “an taibhreamh a chonaic mé agus a chiall sin, a léiriú dom?”
26 Respondió el rey, y dijo á Daniel, al cual llamaban Beltsasar: ¿Podrás tú hacerme entender el sueño que vi, y su declaración?
26 Der König antwortete und sprach zu Daniel, den sie Beltsazar hießen: Bist du, der mir den Traum, den ich gesehen habe, und seine Deutung anzeigen kann?
27 Then Daniel said in answer to the king, No wise men, or users of secret arts, or wonder-workers, or readers of signs, are able to make clear to the king the secret he is searching for;
27 Daniel répondit en présence du roi et dit: Ce que le roi demande est un secret que les sages, les astrologues, les magiciens et les devins, ne sont pas capables de découvrir au roi.
27 D'fhreagair Dainéil an rí: “An rún atá á lorg ag an rí, ní féidir le saoithe ná le draoithe, le hasarlaithe ná le fáistinigh, é a thaispeáint don rí.
27 Daniel respondió delante del rey, y dijo: El misterio que el rey demanda, ni sabios, ni astrólogos, ni magos, ni adivinos lo pueden enseñar al rey.
27 Daniel fing an vor dem König und sprach: Das verborgene Ding, das der König fordert von den Weisen, Gelehrten, Sterndeutern und Wahrsagern, steht in ihrem Vermögen nicht, dem König zu sagen.
28 But there is a God in heaven, the unveiler of secrets, and he has given to King Nebuchadnezzar knowledge of what will take place in the last days. Your dreams and the visions of your head on your bed are these:
28 Mais il y a dans les cieux un Dieu qui révèle les secrets, et qui a fait connaître au roi Nebucadnetsar ce qui arrivera dans la suite des temps. Voici ton songe et les visions que tu as eues sur ta couche.
28 Ach tá Dia ar neamh a nochtann rúin agus tá sé curtha in iúl aige don rí Nabúcadnazar cad atá le teacht sna laethanta deireanacha. Seo d'aisling agus físeanna do chinn ar do leaba:”
28 Mas hay un Dios en los cielos, el cual revela los misterios, y él ha hecho saber al rey Nabucodonosor lo que ha de acontecer á cabo de días. Tu sueño, y las visiones de tu cabeza sobre tu cama, es esto:
28 Aber es ist ein Gott im Himmel, der kann verborgene Dinge offenbaren; der hat dem König Nebukadnezar angezeigt, was in künftigen Zeiten geschehen soll.
29 As for you, O King, the thoughts which came to you on your bed were of what will come about after this: and the unveiler of secrets has made clear to you what is to come.
29 Sur ta couche, ô roi, il t'est monté des pensées touchant ce qui sera après ce temps-ci; et celui qui révèle les secrets t'a fait connaître ce qui arrivera.
29 “I do luí duit ar do leaba, a rí, tháinig chugat smaointe i dtaobh cad a chaithfeadh teacht chun críche níos déanaí, agus, an té a nochtann rúin, d'fhoilsigh sé duit cad tá le teacht chun críche.
29 Tú, oh rey, en tu cama subieron tus pensamientos por saber lo que había de ser en lo por venir; y el que revela los misterios te mostró lo que ha de ser.
29 Mit deinem Traum und deinem Gesichten, da du schliefest, verhielt sich's also: Du, König, dachtest auf deinem Bette, wie es doch hernach zugehen würde; und der, so verborgene Dinge offenbart, hat dir angezeigt, wie es gehen werde.
30 As for me, this secret is not made clear to me because of any wisdom which I have more than any living man, but in order that the sense of the dream may be made clear to the king, and that you may have knowledge of the thoughts of your heart.
30 Si ce secret m'a été révélé, ce n'est point qu'il y ait en moi une sagesse supérieure à celle de tous les vivants; mais c'est afin que l'explication soit donnée au roi, et que tu connaisses les pensées de ton coeur.
30 Maidir liomsa, ní toisc aon eagna a bheith agam seachas cách a nochtadh an rúndiamhair seo dom, ach chun go bhfoilseofaí a chiall siúd don rí agus chun gurbh eol duit smaointe do chroí.
30 Y á mí ha sido revelado este misterio, no por sabiduría que en mí haya, más que en todos los vivientes, sino para que yo notifique al rey la declaración, y que entiendieses los pensamientos de tu corazón.
30 So ist mir solch verborgenes Ding offenbart, nicht durch meine Weisheit, als wäre sie größer denn aller, die da leben; sondern darum, daß dem König die Deutung angezeigt würde und du deines Herzens Gedanken erführest.
31 You, O King, were looking, and a great image was there. This image, which was very great, and whose glory was very bright, was placed before you: its form sent fear into the heart.
31 O roi, tu regardais, et tu voyais une grande statue; cette statue était immense, et d'une splendeur extraordinaire; elle était debout devant toi, et son aspect était terrible.

31 Tú, oh rey, veías, y he aquí una grande imagen. Esta imagen, que era muy grande, y cuya gloria era muy sublime, estaba en pie delante de ti, y su aspecto era terrible.
31 Du, König, sahst, und siehe, ein großes und hohes und sehr glänzendes Bild stand vor dir, das war schrecklich anzusehen.
32 As for this image, its head was made of the best gold, its breast and its arms were of silver, its middle and its sides were of brass,

33 Its legs of iron, its feet were in part of iron and in part of potter's earth.

34 While you were looking at it, a stone was cut out, but not by hands, and it gave the image a blow on its feet, which were of iron and earth, and they were broken in bits.
34 Tu regardais, lorsqu'une pierre se détacha sans le secours d'aucune main, frappa les pieds de fer et d'argile de la statue, et les mit en pièces.
34 D'fhéach tú; gearradh amach cloch, gan láimh duine a bhaint léi, agus bhuail sí an íomhá ina troithe d'iarann agus de chré agus rinne sí smidiríní díobh.
34 Estabas mirando, hasta que una piedra fué cortada, no con mano, la cual hirió á la imagen en sus pies de hierro y de barro cocido, y los desmenuzó.
34 Solches sahst du, bis daß ein Stein herabgerissen ward ohne Hände; der schlug das Bild an seine Füße, die Eisen und Ton waren, und zermalmte sie.
35 Then the iron and the earth, the brass and the silver and the gold, were smashed together, and became like the dust on the floors where grain is crushed in summer; and the wind took them away so that no sign of them was to be seen: and the stone which gave the image a blow became a great mountain, covering all the earth.
35 Alors le fer, l'argile, l'airain, l'argent et l'or, furent brisés ensemble, et devinrent comme la balle qui s'échappe d'une aire en été; le vent les emporta, et nulle trace n'en fut retrouvée. Mais la pierre qui avait frappé la statue devint une grande montagne, et remplit toute la terre.
35 Ansin smiotadh le chéile idir iarann agus chré, idir phrás agus airgead agus ór, agus rinneadh díobh mar a bheadh cáith urláir bhuailte sa samhradh, agus rug an ghaoth leis iad i dtreo nár fágadh rian díobh. Ach an chloch a bhuail an íomhá rinneadh cnoc mór di agus líon sí an talamh uile.
35 Entonces fué también desmenuzado el hierro, el barro cocido, el metal, la plata y el oro, y se tornaron como tamo de las eras del verano: y levantólos el viento, y nunca más se les halló lugar. Mas la piedra que hirió á la imagen, fué hecha un gran monte, que hinchió toda la tierra.
35 Da wurden miteinander zermalmt das Eisen, Ton, Erz, Silber und Gold und wurden wie eine Spreu auf der Sommertenne, und der Wind verwehte sie, daß man sie nirgends mehr finden konnte. Der Stein aber, der das Bild zerschlug, ward ein großer Berg, daß er die ganze Welt füllte.
36 This is the dream; and we will make clear to the king the sense of it.

37 Du, König, bist ein König aller Könige, dem der Gott des Himmels Königreich, Macht, Stärke und Ehre gegeben hat
38 Wherever the children of men are living; into whose hands he has given the beasts of the field and the birds of heaven, and has made you ruler over them all, you are the head of gold.
38 il a remis entre tes mains, en quelque lieu qu'ils habitent, les enfants des hommes, les bêtes des champs et les oiseaux du ciel, et il t'a fait dominer sur eux tous: c'est toi qui es la tête d'or.

38 Y todo lo que habitan hijos de hombres, bestias del campo, y aves del cielo, él ha entregado en tu mano, y te ha hecho enseñorear sobre todo: tú eres aquella cabeza de oro.
38 und alles, da Leute wohnen, dazu die Tiere auf dem Felde und die Vögel unter dem Himmel in deine Hände gegeben und dir über alles Gewalt verliehen hat. Du bist das goldene Haupt.
39 And after you another kingdom, lower than you, will come to power; and a third kingdom, of brass, ruling over all the earth.
39 Après toi, il s'élèvera un autre royaume, moindre que le tien; puis un troisième royaume, qui sera d'airain, et qui dominera sur toute la terre.

39 Y después de ti se levantará otro reino menor que tú; y otro tercer reino de metal, el cual se enseñoreará de toda la tierra.
39 Nach dir wird ein anderes Königreich aufkommen, geringer denn deins. Darnach das dritte Königreich, das ehern ist, welches wird über alle Lande herrschen.
40 And the fourth kingdom will be strong as iron: because, as all things are broken and overcome by iron, so it will have the power of crushing and smashing down all the earth.
40 Il y aura un quatrième royaume, fort comme du fer; de même que le fer brise et rompt tout, il brisera et rompra tout, comme le fer qui met tout en pièces.
40 Agus beidh an ceathrú ríocht ann, tréan mar iarann, an t‑iarann a bhriseann agus a dhéanann mionrabh de gach ní, agus tuairgneoidh sí agus brisfidh sí iad seo uile mar an t‑iarann a bhriseann gach ní.
40 Y el reino cuarto será fuerte como hierro; y como el hierro desmenuza y doma todas las cosas, y como el hierro que quebranta todas estas cosas, desmenuzará y quebrantará.
40 Und das vierte wird hart sein wie Eisen; denn gleichwie Eisen alles zermalmt und zerschlägt, ja, wie Eisen alles zerbricht, also wird es auch diese alle zermalmen und zerbrechen.
41 And as you saw the feet and toes, part of potter's work and part of iron, there will be a division in the kingdom; but there will be some of the strength of iron in it, because you saw the iron mixed with the potter's earth.
41 Et comme tu as vu les pieds et les orteils en partie d'argile de potier et en partie de fer, ce royaume sera divisé; mais il y aura en lui quelque chose de la force du fer, parce que tu as vu le fer mêlé avec l'argile.
41 Na troithe seo a chonaic tú, cuid díobh de chré agus cuid díobh d'iarann, sin ríocht a bheidh deighilte; beidh cuid de neart an iarainn inti faoi mar a chonaic tú iarann cumaiscthe le cré agus láib.
41 Y lo que viste de los pies y los dedos, en parte de barro cocido de alfarero, y en parte de hierro, el reino será dividido; mas habrá en él algo de fortaleza de hierro, según que viste el hierro mezclado con el tiesto de barro.
41 Daß du aber gesehen hast die Füße und Zehen eines Teils Ton und eines Teils Eisen: das wird ein zerteiltes Königreich sein; doch wird von des Eisens Art darin bleiben, wie du es denn gesehen hast Eisen mit Ton vermengt.
42 And as the toes of the feet were in part of iron and in part of earth, so part of the kingdom will be strong and part of it will readily be broken.
42 Et comme les doigts des pieds étaient en partie de fer et en partie d'argile, ce royaume sera en partie fort et en partie fragile.

42 Y por ser los dedos de los pies en parte de hierro, y en parte de barro cocido, en parte será el reino fuerte, y en parte será frágil.
42 Und daß die Zehen an seinen Füßen eines Teils Eisen und eines Teils Ton sind: wird's zum Teil ein starkes und zum Teil ein schwaches Reich sein.
43 And as you saw the iron mixed with earth, they will give their daughters to one another as wives: but they will not be united one with another, even as iron is not mixed with earth.
43 Tu as vu le fer mêlé avec l'argile, parce qu'ils se mêleront par des alliances humaines; mais ils ne seront point unis l'un à l'autre, de même que le fer ne s'allie point avec l'argile.
43 Mar a chonaic tú an t‑iarann cumaiscthe le láib chré, is mar sin a bheidh siad i gcumasc le chéile ag síolrú daoine, ach ní chloífidh siad go daingean le chéile díreach mar nach meascann an t‑iarann leis an gcré.
43 Cuanto á aquello que viste, el hierro mezclado con tiesto de barro, mezclaránse con simiente humana, mas no se pegarán el uno con el otro, como el hierro no se mistura con el tiesto.
43 Und daß du gesehen hast Eisen und Ton vermengt: werden sie sich wohl nach Menschengeblüt untereinander mengen, aber sie werden doch nicht aneinander halten, gleichwie sich Eisen und Ton nicht mengen läßt.
44 And in the days of those kings, the God of heaven will put up a kingdom which will never come to destruction, and its power will never be given into the hands of another people, and all these kingdoms will be broken and overcome by it, but it will keep its place for ever.
44 Dans le temps de ces rois, le Dieu des cieux suscitera un royaume qui ne sera jamais détruit, et qui ne passera point sous la domination d'un autre peuple; il brisera et anéantira tous ces royaumes-là, et lui-même subsistera éternellement.

44 Y en los días de estos reyes, levantará el Dios del cielo un reino que nunca jamás se corromperá: y no será dejado á otro pueblo este reino; el cual desmenuzará y consumirá todos estos reinos, y él permanecerá para siempre.
44 Aber zur Zeit solcher Königreiche wird der Gott des Himmels ein Königreich aufrichten, das nimmermehr zerstört wird; und sein Königreich wird auf kein ander Volk kommen. Es wird alle diese Königreiche zermalmen und verstören; aber es selbst wird ewiglich bleiben;
45 Because you saw that a stone was cut out of the mountain without hands, and that by it the iron and the brass and the earth and the silver and the gold were broken to bits, a great God has given the king knowledge of what is to take place in the future: the dream is fixed, and its sense is certain.
45 C'est ce qu'indique la pierre que tu as vue se détacher de la montagne sans le secours d'aucune main, et qui a brisé le fer, l'airain, l'argile, l'argent et l'or. Le grand Dieu a fait connaître au roi ce qui doit arriver après cela. Le songe est véritable, et son explication est certaine.

45 De la manera que viste que del monte fué cortada una piedra, no con manos, la cual desmenuzó al hierro, al metal, al tiesto, á la plata, y al oro; el gran Dios ha mostrado al rey lo que ha de acontecer en lo por venir: y el sueño es verdadero, y fiel su declaración.
45 wie du denn gesehen hast einen Stein, ohne Hände vom Berge herabgerissen, der das Eisen, Erz, Ton, Silber und Gold zermalmte. Also hat der große Gott dem König gezeigt, wie es hernach gehen werde; und der Traum ist gewiß, und die Deutung ist recht.
46 Then King Nebuchadnezzar, falling down on his face, gave worship to Daniel, and gave orders for an offering and spices to be given to him;
46 Alors le roi Nebucadnetsar tomba sur sa face et se prosterna devant Daniel, et il ordonna qu'on lui offrît des sacrifices et des parfums.

46 Entonces el rey Nabucodonosor cayó sobre su rostro, y humillóse á Daniel, y mandó que le sacrificasen presentes y perfumes.
46 Da fiel der König Nebukadnezar auf sein Angesicht und betete an vor dem Daniel und befahl, man sollt ihm Speisopfer und Räuchopfer tun.
47 And the king made answer to Daniel and said, Truly, your God is a God of gods and a Lord of kings, and an unveiler of secrets, for you have been able to make this secret clear.
47 Le roi adressa la parole à Daniel et dit: En vérité, votre Dieu est le Dieu des dieux et le Seigneur des rois, et il révèle les secrets, puisque tu as pu découvrir ce secret.
47 Dúirt an rí le Dainéil: “Is deimhin gur Dia na ndéithe bhur nDia, agus gur Tiarna ar ríthe é, foilsitheoir na rún, ó d'fhéad tusa an rún seo a nochtadh domsa.”
47 El rey habló á Daniel, y dijo: Ciertamente que el Dios vuestro es Dios de dioses, y el Señor de los reyes, y el descubridor de los misterios, pues pudiste revelar este arcano.
47 Und der König antwortete Daniel und sprach: Es ist kein Zweifel, euer Gott ist ein Gott über alle Götter und ein HERR über alle Könige, der da kann verborgene Dinge offenbaren, weil du dies verborgene Ding hast können offenbaren.
48 Then the king made Daniel great, and gave him offerings in great number, and made him ruler over all the land of Babylon, and chief over all the wise men of Babylon.
48 Ensuite le roi éleva Daniel, et lui fit de nombreux et riches présents; il lui donna le commandement de toute la province de Babylone, et l'établit chef suprême de tous les sages de Babylone.

48 Entonces el rey engrandeció á Daniel, y le dió muchos y grandes dones, y púsolo por gobernador de toda la provincia de Babilonia, y por príncipe de los gobernadores sobre todos los sabios de Babilonia.
48 Und der König erhöhte Daniel und gab ihm große und viele Geschenke und machte ihn zum Fürsten über die ganze Landschaft Babel und setzte ihn zum Obersten über alle Weisen zu Babel.
49 And at Daniel's request, the king gave Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego authority over the business of the land of Babylon: but Daniel was kept near the king's person.
49 Daniel pria le roi de remettre l'intendance de la province de Babylone à Schadrac, Méschac et Abed Nego. Et Daniel était à la cour du roi.
