1 And the word of the Lord came to me, saying,

2 Son of man, what is the vine-tree more than any branching tree which is among the trees of the woods?
2 Fils de l'homme, le bois de la vigne, qu'a-t-il de plus que tout autre bois, Le sarment qui est parmi les arbres de la forêt?
2 “A mhic an duine conas a sháraíonn adhmad na fíniúna aon adhmad eile ó chraobh crainn san fhoraois?
2 Hijo del hombre, ¿qué es el palo de la vid más que todo palo? ¿qué es el sarmiento entre los maderos del bosque?
2 Du Menschenkind, was ist das Holz vom Weinstock vor anderm Holz oder eine Rebe vor anderm Holz im Walde?
3 Will its wood be used for any work? do men make of it a pin for hanging any vessel on?
3 Prend-on de ce bois pour fabriquer un ouvrage? En tire-t-on une cheville pour y suspendre un objet quelconque?
3 An mbaintear a hadhmad le haon rud a dhéanamh as? An mbaintear bacán as le soitheach a chrochadh air?
3 ¿Tomarán de él madera para hacer alguna obra? ¿tomarán de él una estaca para colgar de ella algún vaso?
3 Nimmt man es auch und macht etwas daraus? Macht man auch nur einen Nagel daraus, daran man etwas hängen kann?
4 See, it is put into the fire for burning: the fire has made a meal of its two ends and the middle part of it is burned; is it good for any work?
4 Voici, on le met au feu pour le consumer; Le feu en consume les deux bouts, et le milieu brûle: Sera-t-il bon à quelque chose?
4 Féach ansin é! á chaitheamh ar an tine mar chonnadh. Dónn an tine dhá cheann; deargann an lár ina aibhleog; An bhfuil maith ar bith ann a thuilleadh?
4 He aquí, que es puesto en el fuego para ser consumido; sus dos cabos consumió el fuego, y la parte del medio se quemó; ¿aprovechará para obra alguna?
4 Siehe, man wirft sie ins Feuer, daß es verzehrt wird, daß das Feuer seine beiden Enden verzehrt und sein Mittles versengt; wozu sollte es nun taugen?
5 Truly, before it was cut down, it was not used for any purpose: how much less, when the fire has made a meal of it and it is burned, will it be made into anything?
5 Voici, lorsqu'il était entier, on n'en faisait aucun ouvrage; Combien moins, lorsque le feu l'a consumé et qu'il est brûlé, En pourra-t-on faire quelque ouvrage?
5 Nuair a bhí sé iomlán ní raibh aon mhaith ann le haon rud a dhéanamh as; anois agus é dóite gualaithe nach lú fós an mhaith atá ann?
5 He aquí que cuando estaba entero no era para obra alguna: ¿cuánto menos después que el fuego lo hubiere consumido, y fuere quemado? ¿será más para alguna obra?
5 Siehe, da es noch ganz war, konnte man nichts daraus machen; wie viel weniger kann nun hinfort etwas daraus gemacht werden, so es das Feuer verzehrt und versengt hat!
6 For this cause the Lord has said: Like the vine-tree among the trees of the woods which I have given to the fire for burning, so will I give the people of Jerusalem.
6 C'est pourquoi ainsi parle le Seigneur, l'Éternel: Comme le bois de la vigne parmi les arbres de la forêt, Ce bois que je livre au feu pour le consumer, Ainsi je livrerai les habitants de Jérusalem.
6 “Dá bhrí sin, seo mar a deir an Tiarna Dia: Dála adhmad na fíniúna i measc crainn na foraoise a thug mé don tine mar chonnadh, mar sin a chaithfidh mé áitritheoirí Iarúsailéim uaim.
6 Por tanto, así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: Como el palo de la vid entre los maderos del bosque, el cual dí al fuego para que lo consuma, así haré á los moradores de Jerusalem.
6 Darum spricht der HERR HERR: Gleichwie ich das Holz vom Weinstock vor anderm Holz im Walde dem Feuer zu verzehren gebe, also will ich mit den Einwohnern zu Jerusalem auch umgehen
7 And my face will be turned against them; and though they have come out of the fire they will be burned up by it; and it will be clear to you that I am the Lord when my face is turned against them.
7 Je tournerai ma face contre eux; Ils sont sortis du feu, et le feu les consumera. Et vous saurez que je suis l'Éternel, Quand je tournerai ma face contre eux.
7 Iompóidh mé m'aghaidh ina gcoinne, agus cé go n‑éalóidh siad ón tine slogfaidh sí beo iad fós. Tuigfidh tú gur mise an Tiarna nuair a iompóidh mé m'aghaidh ina gcoinne,
7 Y pondré mi rostro contra ellos; de fuego salieron, y fuego los consumirá; y sabréis que yo soy Jehová, cuando pusiere mi rostro contra ellos.
7 und will mein Angesicht wider sie setzen, daß das Feuer sie fressen soll, ob sie schon aus dem Feuer herausgekommen sind. Und ihr sollt's erfahren, daß ich der HERR bin, wenn ich mein Angesicht wider sie setze
8 And I will make the land a waste because they have done evil, says the Lord.
8 Je ferai du pays un désert, Parce qu'ils ont été infidèles, Dit le Seigneur, l'Éternel.
