1 Zedekiah was twenty-one years old when he became king; he was king for eleven years in Jerusalem: and his mother's name was Hamutal, the daughter of Jeremiah of Libnah.

3 And because of the wrath of the Lord this came about in Jerusalem and Judah, till he had sent them away from before him: and Zedekiah took up arms against the king of Babylon.
3 Et cela arriva à cause de la colère de l'Éternel contre Jérusalem et contre Juda, qu'il voulait rejeter de devant sa face. Et Sédécias se révolta contre le roi de Babylone.

3 Denn es ging des HERRN Zorn über Jerusalem und Juda, bis er sie von seinem Angesicht verwarf. Und Zedekia fiel ab vom König zu Babel.
4 And in the ninth year of his rule, on the tenth day of the tenth month, Nebuchadrezzar, king of Babylon, came against Jerusalem with all his army and took up his position before it, building earthworks all round it.
4 La neuvième année du règne de Sédécias, le dixième jour du dixième mois, Nebucadnetsar, roi de Babylone, vint avec toute son armée contre Jérusalem; ils campèrent devant elle, et élevèrent des retranchements tout autour.

4 Aconteció por tanto á los nueve años de su reinado, en el mes décimo, á los diez días del mes, que vino Nabucodonosor rey de Babilonia, él y todo su ejército, contra Jerusalem, y contra ella asentaron campo, y de todas partes edificaron contra ella baluartes.
4 Aber im neunten Jahr seines Königreichs, am zehnten Tage des zehnten Monats, kam Nebukadnezar, der König zu Babel, samt all seinem Heer wider Jerusalem, und sie belagerten es und machten Bollwerke ringsumher.
5 So the town was shut in by their forces till the eleventh year of King Zedekiah.

6 In the fourth month, on the ninth day of the month, the store of food in the town was almost gone, so that there was no food for the people of the land.
6 Le neuvième jour du quatrième mois, la famine était forte dans la ville, et il n'y avait pas de pain pour le peuple du pays.

6 Aber am neunten Tage des vierten Monats nahm der Hunger überhand in der Stadt, und hatte das Volk vom Lande nichts mehr zu essen.
7 Then an opening was made in the wall of the town, and all the men of war went in flight out of the town by night through the doorway between the two walls which was by the king's garden; (now the Chaldaeans were stationed round the town:) and they went by the way of the Arabah.
7 Alors la brèche fut faite à la ville; et tous les gens de guerre s'enfuirent, et sortirent de la ville pendant la nuit par le chemin de la porte entre les deux murs près du jardin du roi, tandis que les Chaldéens environnaient la ville. Les fuyards prirent le chemin de la plaine.

7 Y fué entrada la ciudad, y todos los hombres de guerra huyeron, y saliéronse de la ciudad de noche por el camino de postigo de entre los dos muros, que había cerca del jardín del rey, y fuéronse por el camino del desierto, estando aún los Caldeos junto á la ciudad alrededor.
7 Da brach man in die Stadt; und alle Kriegsleute gaben die Flucht und zogen zur Stadt hinaus bei der Nacht auf dem Wege durch das Tor zwischen den zwei Mauern, der zum Garten des Königs geht. Aber die Chaldäer lagen um die Stadt her.
8 And the Chaldaean army went after King Zedekiah and overtook him on the other side of Jericho, and all his army went in flight from him in every direction.
8 Mais l'armée des Chaldéens poursuivit le roi, et ils atteignirent Sédécias dans les plaines de Jéricho; et toute son armée se dispersa loin de lui.

9 Then they made the king a prisoner and took him up to the king of Babylon to Riblah in the land of Hamath to be judged.
9 Ils saisirent le roi, et le firent monter vers le roi de Babylone à Ribla, dans le pays de Hamath; et il prononça contre lui une sentence.

9 Entonces prendieron al rey, e hiciéronle venir al rey de Babilonia, á Ribla en tierra de Hamath, donde pronunció contra él sentencia.
9 Und sie fingen den König und brachten ihn hinauf zum König zu Babel gen Ribla, das im Lande Hamath liegt, der sprach ein Urteil über ihn.
10 And the king of Babylon put the sons of Zedekiah to death before his eyes: and he put to death all the rulers of Judah in Riblah.
10 Le roi de Babylone fit égorger les fils de Sédécias en sa présence; il fit aussi égorger tous les chefs de Juda à Ribla.
10 Chuir rí na Bablóine mic Zidicíá chun báis os a chomhair agus mharaigh flatha uile Iúdá i Ribleá;
10 Y degolló el rey de Babilonia á los hijos de Sedechîas delante de sus ojos, y también degolló á todos los príncipes de Judá en Ribla.
10 Allda ließ der König zu Babel die Söhne Zedekias vor seinen Augen erwürgen und erwürgte alle Fürsten Juda's zu Ribla.
11 And he put out Zedekiah's eyes; and the king of Babylon, chaining him in iron bands, took him to Babylon, and put him in prison till the day of his death.

11 Aber Zedekia ließ er die Augen ausstechen und ließ ihn mit zwei Ketten binden, und führte ihn also der König zu Babel gen Babel und legte ihn ins Gefängnis, bis daß er starb.
12 Now in the fifth month, on the tenth day of the month, in the nineteenth year of King Nebuchadrezzar, king of Babylon, Nebuzaradan, the captain of the armed men, a servant of the king of Babylon, came into Jerusalem.
12 Le dixième jour du cinquième mois, -c'était la dix-neuvième année du règne de Nebucadnetsar, roi de Babylone, -Nebuzaradan, chef des gardes, au service du roi de Babylone, vint à Jérusalem.

13 And he had the house of the Lord and the king's house and all the houses of Jerusalem, even every great house, burned with fire:

14 And the walls round Jerusalem were broken down by the Chaldaean army which was with the captain.
14 Toute l'armée des Chaldéens, qui était avec le chef des gardes, démolit toutes les murailles formant l'enceinte de Jérusalem.

15 Then Nebuzaradan, the captain of the armed men, took away as prisoners the rest of the people who were still in the town, and those who had given themselves up to the king of Babylon, and the rest of the workmen.
15 Nebuzaradan, chef des gardes, emmena captifs une partie des plus pauvres du peuple, ceux du peuple qui étaient demeurés dans la ville, ceux qui s'étaient rendus au roi de Babylone, et le reste de la multitude.

15 Aber das arme Volk und andere Volk so noch übrig war in der Stadt, und die zum König zu Babel fielen und das übrige Handwerksvolk führte Nebusaradan, der Hauptmann, gefangen weg.
16 But Nebuzaradan, the captain of the armed men, let the poorest of the land go on living there, to take care of the vines and the fields.

17 And the brass pillars which were in the house of the Lord, and the wheeled bases and the great brass water-vessel in the house of the Lord, were broken up by the Chaldaeans, who took all the brass away to Babylon.
17 Les Chaldéens brisèrent les colonnes d'airain qui étaient dans la maison de l'Éternel, les bases, la mer d'airain qui était dans la maison de l'Éternel, et ils en emportèrent tout l'airain à Babylone.

17 Aber die ehernen Säulen am Hause des HERR und das Gestühl und das eherne Meer am Hause des HERRN zerbrachen die Chaldäer und führten all das Erz davon gen Babel.
18 And the pots and the spades and the scissors for the lights and the spoons, and all the brass vessels used in the Lord's house, they took away.
18 Ils prirent les cendriers, les pelles, les couteaux, les coupes, les tasses, et tous les ustensiles d'airain avec lesquels on faisait le service.
18 Thug siad leo chomh maith na miasa, na sluaistí, na sceana, na scálaí spréite, na loingíní túise, na fearais chré-umha go léir a d'usáidtí i seirbhís an Teampaill.
18 Lleváronse también los calderos, y los badiles, y los salterios, y las bacías, y los cazos, y todos los vasos de metal con que se servían.
18 Und die Kessel, Schaufeln, Messer, Becken, Kellen und alle ehernen Gefäße, die man im Gottesdienst pflegte zu brauchen, nahmen sie weg.
19 And the cups and the fire-trays and the basins and the pots and the supports for the lights and the spoons and the wide basins; the gold of the gold vessels, and the silver of the silver vessels, the captain of the armed men took away.
19 Le chef des gardes prit encore les bassins, les brasiers, les coupes, les cendriers, les chandeliers, les tasses et les calices, ce qui était d'or et ce qui était d'argent.

20 Les deux colonnes, la mer, et les douze boeufs d'airain qui servaient de base, et que le roi Salomon avait faits pour la maison de l'Éternel, tous ces ustensiles d'airain avaient un poids inconnu.

20 Die zwei Säulen, das Meer, die Zwölf ehernen Rinder darunter und die Gestühle, welche der König Salomo hatte lassen machen zum Hause des HERRN, alles dieses Gerätes aus Erz war unermeßlich viel.
21 And as for the pillars, one pillar was eighteen cubits high, and twelve cubits measured all round, and it was as thick as a man's hand: it was hollow.
21 La hauteur de l'une des colonnes était de dix-huit coudées, et un cordon de douze coudées l'entourait; elle était creuse, et son épaisseur avait quatre doigts;

21 Der zwei Säulen aber war eine jegliche achtzehn Ellen hoch, und eine Schnur, zwölf Ellen lang, reichte um sie her, und war eine jegliche vier Finger dick und inwendig hohl;
22 And there was a crown of brass on it: the crown was five cubits high, circled with a network and apples all of brass; and the second pillar had the same.
22 il y avait au-dessus un chapiteau d'airain, et la hauteur d'un chapiteau était de cinq coudées; autour du chapiteau il y avait un treillis et des grenades, le tout d'airain; il en était de même pour la seconde colonne avec des grenades.

22 und stand auf jeglicher ein eherner Knauf, fünf Ellen hoch, und ein Gitterwerk und Granatäpfel waren an jeglichem Knauf ringsumher, alles ehern; und war eine Säule wie die andere, die Granatäpfel auch.
23 There were ninety-six apples on the outside; the number of apples all round the network was a hundred.
23 Il y avait quatre-vingt-seize grenades de chaque côté, et toutes les grenades autour du treillis étaient au nombre de cent.

24 And the captain of the armed men took Seraiah, the chief priest, and Zephaniah, the second priest, and the three door-keepers;

25 And from the town he took the unsexed servant who was over the men of war, and seven of the king's near friends who were in the town, and the scribe of the captain of the army, who was responsible for getting the people of the land together in military order, and sixty men of the people of the land who were in the town.
25 Et dans la ville il prit un eunuque qui avait sous son commandement les gens de guerre, sept hommes qui faisaient partie des conseillers du roi et qui furent trouvés dans la ville, le secrétaire du chef de l'armée qui était chargé d'enrôler le peuple du pays, et soixante hommes du peuple du pays qui se trouvèrent dans la ville.
25 Ghabh sé sa chathair coillteán a bhí i gceannas na saighdiúirí, seachtar de chomhairle an rí a fuarthas sa chathair, rúnaí cheann feadhna an airm a bhí i bhfeighil ar arm a thionól faoin tír, agus trí fichid de mhaithe na tíre a fuarthas sa chathair.
25 Y de la ciudad tomó un eunuco que era capitán sobre los hombres de guerra, y siete hombres de los continuos del rey, que se hallaron en al ciudad; y al principal secretario de la milicia, que revistaba el pueblo de la tierra para la guerra; y sesenta hombres del vulgo del país, que se hallaron dentro de la ciudad.
25 und einen Kämmerer aus der Stadt, welcher über die Kriegsleute gesetzt war, und sieben Männer, welche um den König sein mußten, die in der Stadt gefunden wurden, dazu den Schreiber des Feldhauptmanns, der das Volk im Lande zum Heer aufbot, dazu sechzig Mann Landvolks, so in der Stadt gefunden wurden:
26 These Nebuzaradan, the captain of the armed men, took with him to the king of Babylon at Riblah.
26 Nebuzaradan, chef des gardes, les prit, et les conduisit vers le roi de Babylone à Ribla.
26 Thug Nabúzaradán, captaen an gharda, iad sin leis agus thug iad chun rí na Bablóine i Ribleá.

27 And the king of Babylon put them to death at Riblah in the land of Hamath. So Judah was taken prisoner away from his land.
27 Le roi de Babylone les frappa et les fit mourir à Ribla, dans le pays de Hamath. Ainsi Juda fut emmené captif loin de son pays.
27 Chuir rí na Bablóine chun báis iad i Ribleá, i dtír Hamát. Rinneadh Iúdá a dhíbirt óna thír féin ar an gcuma sin.
27 Y el rey de Babilonia los hirió, y los mató en Ribla en tierra de Hamath. Así fué Judá trasportado de su tierra.

28 These are the people whom Nebuchadrezzar took away prisoner: in the seventh year, three thousand and twenty-three Jews:
28 Voici le peuple que Nebucadnetsar emmena en captivité: la septième année, trois mille vingt-trois Juifs;

29 And in the eighteenth year of Nebuchadrezzar he took away as prisoners from Jerusalem eight hundred and thirty-two persons:
29 la dix-huitième année de Nebucadnetsar, il emmena de Jérusalem huit cent trente-deux personnes;
