1 About the children of Ammon. These are the words of the Lord: Has Israel no sons? has he no one to take the heritage? why then has Milcom taken Gad for himself, putting his people in its towns?
1 Sur les enfants d'Ammon. Ainsi parle l'Éternel: Israël n'a-t-il point de fils? N'a-t-il point d'héritier? Pourquoi Malcom possède-t-il Gad, Et son peuple habite-t-il ses villes?

1 DE los hijos de Ammón. Así ha dicho Jehová: ¿No tiene hijos Israel? ¿No tiene heredero? ¿Por qué tomó como por heredad el rey de ellos á Gad, y su pueblo habitó en sus ciudades?
1 Wider die Kinder Ammon spricht der HERR also: Hat denn Israel nicht Kinder, oder hat es keinen Erben? Warum besitzt denn Milkom das Land Gad, und sein Volk wohnt in jener Städten?
2 Because of this, see, the days are coming when I will have a cry of war sounded against Rabbah, the town of the children of Ammon; it will become a waste of broken walls, and her daughter-towns will be burned with fire: then Israel will take the heritage of those who took his heritage, says the Lord.
2 C'est pourquoi voici, les jours viennent, dit l'Éternel, Où je ferai retentir le cri de guerre contre Rabbath des enfants d'Ammon; Elle deviendra un monceau de ruines, Et les villes de son ressort seront consumées par le feu; Alors Israël chassera ceux qui l'avaient chassé, dit l'Éternel.

2 Por tanto, he aquí vienen días, ha dicho Jehová, en que haré oir en Rabba de los hijos de Ammón clamor de guerra; y será puesta en montón de asolamiento, y sus ciudades serán puestas á fuego, é Israel tomará por heredad á los que los tomaron á ellos, ha dicho Jehová.
2 Darum siehe, es kommt die Zeit, spricht der HERR, daß ich will ein Kriegsgeschrei erschallen lassen über Rabba der Kinder Ammon, daß sie soll auf einem Haufen wüst liegen und ihre Töchter mit Feuer angesteckt werden; aber Israel soll besitzen die, von denen sie besessen waren, spricht der HERR.
3 Make sounds of grief, O Heshbon, for Ai is wasted; give loud cries, O daughters of Rabbah, and put haircloth round you: give yourselves to weeping, running here and there and wounding yourselves; for Milcom will be taken prisoner together with his rulers and his priests.
3 Pousse des gémissements, Hesbon, car Aï est ravagée! Poussez des cris, filles de Rabba, revêtez-vous de sacs, Lamentez-vous, et courez çà et là le long des murailles! Car Malcom s'en va en captivité, Avec ses prêtres et avec ses chefs.
3 Uaill, a Heisbeón! [Tá an scriosadóir chugat.] Golaigí os ard, a iníonacha Rabá! Gabhaigí sibh féin i sacéadach, caoinigí in ard bhur gcinn, siúlaigí síos suas agus [bhur gcolainn scortha]. Óir tá Miolcom ag dul ar deoraíocht, mar aon lena shagairt agus lena phrionsaí.
3 Aulla, oh Hesbón, porque destruída es Hai; clamad, hijas de Rabba, vestíos de sacos, endechad, y rodead por los vallados, porque el rey de ellos fué en cautiverio, sus sacerdotes y sus príncipes juntamente.
3 Heule, o Hesbon! denn Ai ist verstört. Schreiet, ihr Töchter Rabbas, und ziehet Säcke an, klaget und lauft auf den Mauern herum! denn Milkom wird gefangen weggeführt samt seinen Priestern und Fürsten.
4 Why are you lifted up in pride on account of your valleys, your flowing valley, O daughter ever turning away? who puts her faith in her wealth, saying, Who will come against me?
4 Pourquoi te glorifies-tu de tes vallées? Ta vallée se fond, fille rebelle, Qui te confiais dans tes trésors: Qui viendra contre moi?
4 Maíonn tú as do ghleann, a chailín mhístuama! Go teann agus go dána deir tusa: ‘Cé thiocfadh dom ionsaíse?’
4 ¿Por qué te glorías de los valles? Tu valle se deshizo, oh hija contumaz, la que confía en sus tesoros, la que dice: ¿Quién vendrá contra mí?
4 Was trotzest du auf deine Auen? Deine Auen sind ersäuft, du ungehorsame Tochter, die du dich auf deine Schätze verlässest und sprichst in deinem Herzen: Wer darf sich an mich machen?
5 See, I will send fear on you, says the Lord, the Lord of armies, from those who are round you on every side; you will be forced out, every man straight before him, and there will be no one to get together the wanderers.
5 Voici, je fais venir sur toi la terreur, Dit le Seigneur, l'Éternel des armées, Elle viendra de tous tes alentours; Chacun de vous sera chassé devant soi, Et nul ne ralliera les fuyards.
5 Ach tabharfaidh mise anuas ort imeagla ó gach taobh; díbreofar chun siúil thú, gach aon fhear ina shlí féin, agus gan aon duine ann chun na teifigh a chruinniú.
5 He aquí yo traigo sobre ti espanto, dice el Señor Jehová de los ejércitos, de todos tus alrededores; y seréis lanzados cada uno en derechura de su rostro, y no habrá quien recoja al errante.
5 Siehe, spricht der HERR HERR Zebaoth: Ich will Furcht über dich kommen lassen von allen, die um dich her wohnen, daß ein jeglicher seines Weges vor sich hinaus verstoßen werde und niemand sei, der die Flüchtigen sammle.
6 But after these things, I will let the fate of the children of Ammon be changed, says the Lord.
6 Mais après cela, je ramènerai les captifs des enfants d'Ammon, Dit l'Éternel.
6 “Ach amach anseo tabharfaidh mé ar ais liom bránna chlann mhac Amón. Is é an Tiarna a labhraíonn.” Eadóm
6 Y después de esto haré tornar la cautividad de los hijos de Ammón, dice Jehová.
6 Aber darnach will ich wieder wenden das Gefängnis der Kinder Ammon, spricht der HERR.
7 About Edom. This is what the Lord of armies has said. Is there no more wisdom in Teman? have wise suggestions come to an end among men of good sense? has their wisdom completely gone?
7 Sur Édom. Ainsi parle l'Éternel des armées: N'y a-t-il plus de sagesse dans Théman? La prudence a-t-elle disparu chez les hommes intelligents? Leur sagesse s'est-elle évanouie?
7 I dtaobh Eadóm. Is mar seo a deir an Tiarna: “An é nach bhfuil críonnacht fágtha i dTéamán? Ar imigh a chomhairle ón [nglic]? An ndeachaigh a eagna ar neamhní?
7 De Edom. Así ha dicho Jehová de los ejércitos: ¿No hay más sabiduría en Temán? ¿ha perecido el consejo en los sabios? ¿corrompióse su sabiduría?
7 Wider Edom. So spricht der HERR Zebaoth: Ist denn keine Weisheit mehr zu Theman? ist denn kein Rat mehr bei den Klugen? ist ihre Weisheit so leer geworden?
8 Go in flight, go back, take cover in deep places, you who are living in Dedan; for I will send the fate of Edom on him, even the time of his punishment.
8 Fuyez, tournez le dos, retirez-vous dans les cavernes, Habitants de Dedan! Car je fais venir le malheur sur Ésaü, Le temps de son châtiment.
8 Imígí: Greadaigí! téigí i bhfolach, a áitritheoirí Dhéadán! Óir tabharfaidh mise ainnise ar Éasau, nuair a thiocfaidh mé dá fhéachaint.
8 Huid, volveos, escondeos en simas para estar, oh moradores de Dedán; porque el quebrantamiento de Esaú traeré sobre él, al tiempo que lo tengo de visitar.
8 Fliehet, wendet euch und verkriecht euch tief, ihr Bürger zu Dedan! denn ich lasse einen Unfall über Esau kommen, die Zeit seiner Heimsuchung.
9 If men came to get your grapes, would they not let some be uncut on the vines? if thieves came by night, would they not make waste till they had enough?
9 Si des vendangeurs viennent chez toi, Ne laissent-ils rien à grappiller? Si des voleurs viennent de nuit, Ils ne dévastent que ce qu'ils peuvent.
9 Má thagann lucht bainte caor chugat, ní fhágfaidh siad caora díolama; Má thagann gadaithe san oíche, sladfaidh siad go suaimhneach.
9 Si vendimiadores vinieran contra ti, ¿no dejarán rebuscos? Si ladrones de noche, tomarán lo que hubieren menester.
9 Es sollen Weinleser über dich kommen, die dir kein Nachlesen lassen; und die Diebe des Nachts sollen über dich kommen, die sollen ihnen genug verderben.
10 I have had Esau searched out, uncovering his secret places, so that he may not keep himself covered: his seed is wasted and has come to an end, and there is no help from his neighbours.
10 Mais moi, je dépouillerai Ésaü, Je découvrirai ses retraites, Il ne pourra se cacher; Ses enfants, ses frères, ses voisins, périront, Et il ne sera plus.
10 Óir is mise atá ag lomadh Éasau, nochtaimse a áiteanna folaithe, go dtí nach bhféadfaidh sé é féin a cheilt. Scriosadh a shíol: tá deireadh leis! Ní [déarfaidh] oiread agus duine dá chomharsana:
10 Mas yo desnudaré á Esaú, descubriré sus escondrijos, y no podrá esconderse: será destruída su simiente, y sus hermanos, y sus vecinos; y no será.
10 Denn ich habe Esau entblößt und seine verborgenen Orte geöffnet, daß er sich nicht verstecken kann; sein Same, seine Brüder und seine Nachbarn sind verstört, daß ihrer keiner mehr da ist.
11 Put in my care your children who have no father, and I will keep them safe; and let your widows put their faith in me.
11 Laisse tes orphelins, je les ferai vivre, Et que tes veuves se confient en moi!
11 ‘Fág do dhílleachtaí, coinneoidh mise bia leo, bíodh muinín ag do bhaintreacha asam.’ ”
11 Deja tus huérfanos, yo los criaré; y en mí se confiarán tus viudas.

12 Porque así ha dicho Jehová: He aquí que los que no estaban condenados á beber del cáliz, beberán ciertamente; ¿y serás tú absuelto del todo? No serás absuelto, sino que de cierto beberás.
12 Denn so spricht der HERR: Siehe, die, so es nicht verschuldet hatten, den Kelch zu trinken, müssen trinken; und du solltest ungestraft bleiben? Du sollst nicht ungestraft bleiben, sondern du mußt auch trinken.
13 For I have taken an oath by myself, says the Lord, that Bozrah will become a cause of wonder, a name of shame, a waste and a curse; and all its towns will be waste places for ever.
13 Car je le jure par moi-même, dit l'Éternel, Botsra sera un objet de désolation, d'opprobre, De dévastation et de malédiction, Et toutes ses villes deviendront des ruines éternelles.
13 Óir mhionnaigh mise dar mé féin - an Tiarna a labhraíonn: Beidh Bozrá ina uafás, ina scige, ina fhásach, ina mhallú, agus a bhailte uile ina bhfásach síoraí.”
13 Porque por mí he jurado, dice Jehová, que en asolamiento, en oprobio, en soledad, y en maldición, será Bosra; y todas su ciudades serán en asolamientos perpetuos.
13 Denn ich habe bei mir selbst geschworen, spricht der HERR, daß Bozra soll ein Wunder, Schmach, Wüste und Fluch werden und alle ihre Städte eine ewige Wüste.
14 Word has come to me from the Lord, and a representative has been sent to the nations, to say, Come together and go up against her, and take your places for the fight.
14 J'ai appris de l'Éternel une nouvelle, Et un messager a été envoyé parmi les nations: Assemblez-vous, et marchez contre elle! Levez-vous pour la guerre!
14 Fuair mé teachtaireacht ón Tiarna, seoladh teachta chun na náisiún trí chéile: “Cruinnígí! téigí in aghaidh an phobail seo! Éirígí chun catha!”
14 La fama oí, que de Jehová había sido enviado mensajero á las gentes, diciendo: Juntaos, y venid contra ella, y levantaos á la batalla.
14 Ich habe gehört vom HERRN, daß eine Botschaft unter die Heiden gesandt sei: Sammelt euch und kommt her wider sie, macht euch auf zum Streit!
15 For see, I have made you small among the nations, looked down on by men.
15 Car voici, je te rendrai petit parmi les nations, Méprisé parmi les hommes.
15 Óir déanfaidh mise beag thú anois i measc na náisiún, tarcaisneach i measc daoine.
15 Porque he aquí que pequeño te he puesto entre las gentes, menospreciado entre los hombres.
15 Denn siehe, ich habe dich gering gemacht unter den Heiden und verachtet unter den Menschen.
16 ... the pride of your heart has been a false hope, O you who are living in the cracks of the rock, keeping your place on the top of the hill: even if you made your living-place as high as the eagle, I would make you come down, says the Lord.
16 Ta présomption, l'orgueil de ton coeur t'a égaré, Toi qui habites le creux des rochers, Et qui occupes le sommet des collines. Quand tu placerais ton nid aussi haut que celui de l'aigle, Je t'en précipiterai, dit l'Éternel.
16 Mheall cáil na fíochmhaire thú, chuir uabhar do chroí [ar seachrán] thú, thusa a chónaíonn i scailp na carraige, a ghreamaíonn d'airde na gcnoc! Bíodh go ndéanfá do nead chomh hard leis an iolar, theilgfinnse síos as sin thú arís - an Tiarna a labhraíonn.
16 Tu arrogancia te engañó, y la soberbia de tu corazón, tú que habitas en cavernas de peñas, que tienes la altura del monte: aunque alces como águila tu nido, de allí te haré descender, dice Jehová.
16 Dein Trotz und dein Hochmut hat dich betrogen, weil du in Felsenklüften wohnst und hohe Gebirge innehast. Wenn du denn gleich dein Nest so hoch machtest wie der Adler, dennoch will ich dich von dort herunterstürzen, spricht der HERR.
17 And Edom will become a cause of wonder: everyone who goes by will be overcome with wonder, and make sounds of fear at all her punishments.
17 Édom sera un objet de désolation; Tous ceux qui passeront près de lui Seront dans l'étonnement et siffleront sur toutes ses plaies.
17 Beidh Eadóm ina fhásach; beidh uafás ar gach aon dá ngabhann an tslí, agus ligfidh fead iontais faoina leithéid de thubaiste.
17 Y será Edom en asolamiento: todo aquel que pasare por ella se espantará, y silbará sobre todas sus plagas.
17 Also soll Edom wüst werden, daß alle die, so vorübergehen, sich wundern und pfeifen werden über alle ihre Plage;
18 As at the downfall of Sodom and Gomorrah and their neighbouring towns, says the Lord, no man will be living in it, no son of man will have a resting-place there.
18 Comme Sodome et Gomorrhe et les villes voisines, qui furent détruites, Dit l'Éternel, Il ne sera plus habité, Il ne sera le séjour d'aucun homme...
18 Amhail mar a bhí i scrios Shodom agus Ghomorá, agus sna bailte timpeall ní fhanfaidh duine ann níos mó, ní dhéanfaidh aon fhear cónaí ann go deo, a deir an Tiarna.
18 Como el trastornamiento de Sodoma y de Gomorra, y de sus ciudades vecinas, dice Jehová, no morará allí nadie, ni la habitará hijo de hombre.
18 gleichwie Sodom und Gomorra samt ihren Nachbarn umgekehrt ist, spricht der HERR, daß niemand daselbst wohnen noch kein Mensch darin hausen soll.
19 See, he will come up like a lion from the thick growth of Jordan against the resting-place of Teman: but I will suddenly make him go in flight from her; and I will put over her the man of my selection: for who is like me? and who will put forward his cause against me? and what keeper of sheep will be able to keep his place before me?
19 Voici, tel qu'un lion, il monte des rives orgueilleuses du Jourdain Contre la demeure forte; Soudain j'en ferai fuir Édom, Et j'établirai sur elle celui que j'ai choisi. Car qui est semblable à moi? qui me donnera des ordres? Et quel est le chef qui me résistera?
19 “Féach, cé mar a thagann an leon aníos as mothar na Iordáine chuig an féarach marthanach! Is mar sin a ruaigfidh mise go tobann iad, agus cuirfidh mé ann mo rogha duine. Óir cé is cosúil liom? Cé a fhéadann mise a chiontú? Ainmnigh dom an tréadaí a sheasfadh i m'éadan.
19 He aquí que como león subirá de la hinchazón del Jordán contra la bella y robusta; porque muy pronto harélo correr de sobre ella, y al que fuere escogido la encargaré; porque ¿quién es semejante á mí? ¿y quién me emplazará? ¿y quién será aquel pastor que me podrá resistir?
19 Denn siehe, er kommt herauf wie ein Löwe vom stolzen Jordan her wider die festen Hürden; denn ich will sie daraus eilends wegtreiben, und den, der erwählt ist, darübersetzen. Denn wer ist mir gleich, wer will mich meistern, und wer ist der Hirte, der mir widerstehen kann?
20 For this cause give ear to the decision of the Lord which he has made against Edom, and to his purposes designed against the people of Teman: Truly, they will be pulled away by the smallest of the flock; truly, he will make waste their fields with them.
20 C'est pourquoi écoutez la résolution que l'Éternel a prise contre Édom, Et les desseins qu'il a conçus contre les habitants de Théman! Certainement on les traînera comme de faibles brebis, Certainement on ravagera leur demeure.
20 Mar sin éistigí le comhairle an Tiarna atá socair aige in éadan Eadóm, an plean atá beartaithe aige in éadan áitritheoirí Théamán: Sea, tógfar chun siúil fiú an té is laige den tréad, ar a fheiceáil sin dóibh, beidh a dtréad ar ballchrith.
20 Por tanto, oíd el consejo de Jehová, que ha acordado sobre Edom; y sus pensamientos, que ha resuelto sobre los moradores de Temán. Ciertamente los más pequeños del hato los arrastrarán, y destruirán sus moradas con ellos.
20 So hört nun den Ratschlag des HERRN, den er über Edom hat, und seine Gedanken, die er über die Einwohner in Theman hat. Was gilt's? ob nicht die Hirtenknaben sie fortschleifen werden und ihre Wohnung zerstören,
21 The earth is shaking with the noise of their fall; their cry is sounding in the Red Sea.
21 Au bruit de leur chute, la terre tremble; Leur cri se fait entendre jusqu'à la mer Rouge...

22 See, he will come up like an eagle in flight, stretching out his wings against Bozrah: and the hearts of Edom's men of war on that day will be like the heart of a woman in birth-pains.
22 Voici, comme l'aigle il s'avance, il vole, Il étend ses ailes sur Botsra, Et le coeur des héros d'Édom est en ce jour Comme le coeur d'une femme en travail.
22 Seo é an té a bhíonn ag eitilt agus ag foluain ar nós iolair, a leathnóidh a sciatháin os cionn Bhozrá. Agus beidh croí fhir chogaidh Eadóm an lá sin mar a bheadh croí mná i dtinneas clainne.” Bailte na Síre
22 He aquí que como águila subirá y volará, y extenderá sus alas sobre Bosra: y el corazón de los valientes de Edom será en aquel día como el corazón de mujer en angustias.
22 Siehe, er fliegt herauf wie ein Adler und wird seine Flügel ausbreiten über Bozra. Zur selben Zeit wird das Herz der Helden in Edom sein wie das Herz einer Frau in Kindsnöten.

23 Wider Damaskus. Hamath und Arpad stehen jämmerlich; sie sind verzagt, denn sie hören ein böses Geschrei; die am Meer wohnen, sind so erschrocken, daß sie nicht Ruhe haben können.
24 Damascus has become feeble, she is turned to flight, fear has taken her in its grip: pain and sorrows have come on her, as on a woman in birth-pains.
24 Damas est défaillante, elle se tourne pour fuir, Et l'effroi s'empare d'elle; L'angoisse et les douleurs la saisissent, Comme une femme en travail. -

24 Damaskus ist verzagt und gibt die Flucht; sie zappelt und ist in Ängsten und Schmerzen wie eine Frau in Kindsnöten.
25 How has the town of praise been wasted, the place of joy!
25 Ah! elle n'est pas abandonnée, la ville glorieuse, La ville qui fait ma joie! -

26 Darum werden ihre junge Mannschaft auf ihren Gassen darniederliegen und alle ihre Kriegsleute untergehen zur selben Zeit, spricht der HERR Zebaoth.
27 And I will have a fire lighted on the wall of Damascus, burning up the great houses of Ben-hadad.
27 Je mettrai le feu aux murs de Damas, Et il dévorera le palais de Ben Hadad.
27 Lasfaidh mé tine taobh istigh de bhallaí na Damaisce; slogfaidh sí páláis Bhein Hadad.” Na Treibheanna Arabacha
27 Y haré encender fuego en el muro de Damasco, y consumirá las casas de Ben-hadad.
27 Und ich will in den Mauern von Damaskus ein Feuer anzünden, daß es die Paläste Benhadads verzehren soll.

29 Their tents and their flocks they will take; they will take away for themselves their curtains and all their vessels and their camels: they will give a cry to them, Fear on every side.

36 und will die vier Winde aus den vier Enden des Himmels über sie kommen lassen und will sie in alle diese Winde zerstreuen, daß kein Volk sein soll, dahin nicht Vertriebene aus Elam kommen werden.
37 And I will let Elam be broken before their haters, and before those who are making designs against their lives: I will send evil on them, even my burning wrath, says the Lord; and I will send the sword after them till I have put an end to them:
37 Je ferai trembler les habitants d'Élam devant leurs ennemis Et devant ceux qui en veulent à leur vie, J'amènerai sur eux des malheurs, Mon ardente colère, dit l'Éternel, Et je les poursuivrai par l'épée, Jusqu'à ce que je les aie anéantis.
