1 The words which Jeremiah the prophet said to Baruch, the son of Neriah, when he put these words down in a book from the mouth of Jeremiah, in the fourth year of Jehoiakim, the son of Josiah, king of Judah; he said,
1 La parole que Jérémie, le prophète, adressa à Baruc, fils de Nérija, lorsqu'il écrivit dans un livre ces paroles, sous la dictée de Jérémie, la quatrième année de Jojakim, fils de Josias, roi de Juda. Il dit:
1 An focal a labhair Irimia fáidh le Barúch mac Néiria nuair a scríobh seisean na briathra seo i leabhar ó bhéal Irimia sa cheathrú bliain de réimeas Iahóiácaím mac Ióisíá, rí Iúdá.
1 PALABRA que habló Jeremías profeta á Baruch hijo de Nerías, cuando escribía en el libro estas palabras de boca de Jeremías, el año cuarto de Joacim hijo de Josías, rey de Judá, diciendo:
1 Dies ist das Wort, so der Prophet Jeremia redete zu Baruch, dem Sohn Nerias, da er diese Reden in ein Buch schrieb aus dem Munde Jeremia's im vierten Jahr Jojakims, des Sohnes Josias, des Königs in Juda, und sprach:
2 This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, has said of you, O Baruch:
2 Ainsi parle l'Éternel, le Dieu d'Israël, sur toi, Baruc:
2 “Is mar seo a deir an Tiarna, Dia Iosrael fútsa a Bharúch:
2 Así ha dicho Jehová Dios de Israel, á ti, oh Baruch:
2 So spricht der HERR Zebaoth, der Gott Israels, von dir Baruch:
3 You said, Sorrow is mine! for the Lord has given me sorrow in addition to my pain; I am tired with the sound of my sorrow, and I get no rest.
3 Tu dis: Malheur à moi! car l'Éternel ajoute le chagrin à ma douleur; je m'épuise en soupirant, et je ne trouve point de repos.
3 Ó dúirt tú: ‘Is mairg domsa, óir chuir an Tiarna doilíos i gceann mo dhobróin! táim spíonta ó m'osnaíl, agus ní fhaighim faoiseamh ar bith!’
3 Tú dijiste: ¡Ay de mí ahora! porque me ha añadido Jehová tristeza sobre mi dolor; trabajé en mi gemido, y no he hallado descanso.
3 Du sprichst: Weh mir, wie hat mir der HERR Jammer zu meinem Schmerz hinzugefügt! Ich seufze mich müde und finde keine Ruhe.
4 This is what you are to say to him: The Lord has said, Truly, the building which I put up will be broken down, and that which was planted by me will be uprooted, and this through all the land;
4 Dis-lui: Ainsi parle l'Éternel: Voici, ce que j'ai bâti, je le détruirai; ce que j'ai planté, je l'arracherai, savoir tout ce pays.
4 Deir an Tiarna é seo: ‘Anois, brisim síos an rud a thóg mé; an rud a phlandaigh mé, tá mé á tharraingt aníos; [buailfidh mé an domhan] go hiomlán.
4 Así le has de decir: Así ha dicho Jehová: He aquí que yo destruyo los que edifiqué, y arranco los que planté, y toda esta tierra.
4 Sage ihm also: So spricht der HERR: Siehe, was ich gebaut habe, das breche ich ab; und was ich gepflanzt habe, das reute ich aus nämlich dies mein ganzes Land.
5 And as for you, are you looking for great things for yourself? Have no desire for them: for truly I will send evil on all flesh, says the Lord: but your life I will keep safe from attack wherever you go.
5 Et toi, rechercherais-tu de grandes choses? Ne les recherche pas! Car voici, je vais faire venir le malheur sur toute chair, dit l'Éternel; et je te donnerai ta vie pour butin, dans tous les lieux où tu iras.
