1 Then all the captains of the forces, and Johanan, the son of Kareah, and Jezaniah, the son of Hoshaiah, and all the people from the least to the greatest, came near,

1 Ansin tháinig ceannairí uile an airm, in éineacht le Ióchánán mac Cháiréach agus [Azairiá] mac Hóisiá, agus an pobal uile ó bheag go mór go dtí Irimia fáidh,
1 Y LLEGARONSE todos los oficiales de la gente de guerra, y Johanán hijo de Carea, y Jezanías hijo de Osaía, y todo el pueblo desde el menor hasta el mayor,
1 Da traten herzu alle Hauptleute des Heeres, Johanan, der Sohn Kareahs, Jesanja, der Sohn Hosajas, samt dem ganzen Volk, klein und groß,
2 And said to Jeremiah the prophet, Let our request come before you, and make prayer for us to the Lord your God, even for this small band of us; for we are only a small band out of what was a great number, as your eyes may see:
2 et dirent à Jérémie, le prophète: Que nos supplications soient favorablement reçues devant toi! Intercède en notre faveur auprès de l'Éternel, ton Dieu, en faveur de tous ceux qui restent, car nous étions beaucoup, et nous restons en petit nombre, comme tes yeux le voient;
2 agus dúirt siad leis: “Guímid thú éist lenár n‑achainí! Guigh ar ár son chun an Tiarna do Dhia, ar son an fhuíll seo uile - óir níl fágtha againn ach beagán de mhórán, mar is léir do do shúile féin -
2 Y dijeron á Jeremías profeta: Caiga ahora nuestro ruego delante de ti, y ruega por nosotros á Jehová tu Dios, por todo este resto, (pues hemos quedado unos pocos de muchos, como nos ven tus ojos,)
2 und sprachen zum Propheten Jeremia: Laß doch unser Gebet vor dir gelten und bitte für uns den HERRN, deinen Gott, für alle diese Übrigen (denn unser ist leider wenig geblieben von vielen, wie du uns selbst siehst mit deinen Augen),
3 That the Lord your God may make clear to us the way in which we are to go and what we are to do.
3 et que l'Éternel, ton Dieu, nous montre le chemin que nous devons suivre, et ce que nous avons à faire!
3 go dtaispeána an Tiarna do Dhia dúinn an tslí inar cheart dúinn siúl agus an rud ba chóir dúinn a dhéanamh.”
3 Para que Jehová tu Dios nos enseñe camino por donde vayamos, y lo que hemos de hacer.
3 daß uns der HERR, dein Gott, wolle anzeigen, wohin wir ziehen und was wir tun sollen.
4 Then Jeremiah the prophet said to them, I have given ear to you; see, I will make prayer to the Lord your God, as you have said; and it will be that, whatever the Lord may say in answer to you, I will give you word of it, keeping nothing back.
4 Jérémie, le prophète, leur dit: J'entends; voici je vais prier l'Éternel, votre Dieu, selon votre demande; et je vous ferai connaître, sans rien vous cacher, tout ce que l'Éternel vous répondra.
4 D'fhreagair an fáidh Irimia: “Cluinim sibh; guífidh mé go cinnte chun an Tiarna bhur nDia de réir bhur mbriathar; agus cibé ar bith ní a fhreagróidh an Tiarna bhur nDia foilseoidh mé daoibh é; ní choinneoidh mé aon ní ar gcúl uaibh.”
4 Y Jeremías profeta les dijo: Ya he oído. He aquí que voy á orar á Jehová vuestro Dios, como habéis dicho; y será que todo lo que Jehová os respondiere, os enseñaré: no os reservaré palabra.
4 Und der Prophet Jeremia sprach zu ihnen: Wohlan, ich will gehorchen; und siehe, ich will den HERRN, euren Gott, bitten, wie ihr gesagt habt; und alles, was euch der HERR antworten wird, das will ich euch anzeigen und will euch nichts verhalten.
5 Then they said to Jeremiah, May the Lord be a true witness against us in good faith, if we do not do everything which the Lord your God sends you to say to us.
5 Et ils dirent à Jérémie: Que l'Éternel soit contre nous un témoin véritable et fidèle, si nous ne faisons pas tout ce que l'Éternel, ton Dieu, te chargera de nous dire!
5 Dúirt siadsan le Irimia: “Bíodh an Tiarna Dia ina fhinné fírinneach dílis inár n‑aghaidh, mura ndéanaimid de réir na n‑orduithe a thugann an Tiarna do Dhia dúinn tríotsa.
5 Y ellos dijeron á Jeremías: Jehová sea entre nosotros testigo de la verdad y de la lealtad, si no hiciéremos conforme á todo aquello para lo cual Jehová tu Dios te enviare á nosotros.
5 Und sie sprachen zu Jeremia: Der HERR sei ein gewisser und wahrhaftiger Zeuge zwischen uns, wo wir nicht tun werden alles, was dir der HERR, dein Gott, an uns befehlen wird.
6 If it is good or if it is evil, we will be guided by the voice of the Lord our God, to whom we are sending you; so that it may be well for us when we give ear to the voice of the Lord our God.
6 Que ce soit du bien ou du mal, nous obéirons à la voix de l'Éternel, notre Dieu, vers qui nous t'envoyons, afin que nous soyons heureux, si nous obéissons à la voix de l'Éternel, notre Dieu.
6 Más olc maith linn é umhlóimid do ghlór an Tiarna ár nDia chun a gcuirimid thusa, le go mbeidh an scéal go maith againn, nuair a umhlóimid do ghlór an Tiarna ár nDia.”
6 Ora sea bueno, ora malo, á la voz de Jehová nuestro Dios, al cual te enviamos, obedeceremos; para que, obedeciendo á la voz de Jehová nuestro Dios, tengamos bien.
6 Es sei Gutes oder Böses, so wollen wir gehorchen der Stimme des HERRN, unsers Gottes, zu dem wir dich senden; auf daß es uns wohl gehe, so wir der Stimme des HERRN, unsers Gottes, gehorchen.
7 And it came about that after ten days the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah.
7 Dix jours après, la parole de l'Éternel fut adressée à Jérémie.
7 Tar éis deich lá tharla go dtáinig briathar an Tiarna go Irimia.
7 Y aconteció que al cabo de diez días fué palabra de Jehová á Jeremías.
7 Und nach zehn Tagen geschah des HERRN Wort zu Jeremia.
8 And he sent for Johanan, the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces who were still with him, and all the people, from the least to the greatest,
8 Et Jérémie appela Jochanan, fils de Karéach, tous les chefs des troupes qui étaient avec lui, et tout le peuple, depuis le plus petit jusqu'au plus grand.
8 Chuir seisean fios ar Ióchánán mac Cháiréach agus ceannairí uile an airm a bhí in éineacht leis, agus an pobal uile ó bheag go mór.
8 Y llamó á Johanán hijo de Carea, y á todos los oficiales de la gente de guerra que con él estaban, y á todo el pueblo desde el menor hasta el mayor;
8 Da rief er Johanan, den Sohn Kareahs, und alle Hauptleute des Heeres, die bei ihm waren, und alles Volk, klein und groß,
9 And said to them, These are the words of the Lord, the God of Israel, to whom you sent me to put your request before him:
9 Il leur dit: Ainsi parle l'Éternel, le Dieu d'Israël, vers qui vous m'avez envoyé, pour que je lui présente vos supplications:
9 Dúirt sé leo: “Is mar seo a deir an Tiarna, Dia Iosrael, chun ar chuir sibh mise a fhoilsiú bhur n‑achainí dó:
9 Y díjoles: Así ha dicho Jehová Dios de Israel, al cual me enviasteis para que hiciese caer vuestros ruegos en su presencia:
9 und sprach zu ihnen: So spricht der HERR, der Gott Israels, zu dem ihr mich gesandt habt, daß ich euer Gebet vor ihn sollte bringen:
10 If you still go on living in the land, then I will go on building you up and not pulling you down, planting you and not uprooting you: for my purpose of doing evil to you has been changed.
10 Si vous restez dans ce pays, je vous y établirai et je ne vous détruirai pas, je vous planterai et je ne vous arracherai pas; car je me repens du mal que je vous ai fait.
10 ‘Más toil libh fanacht go sítheach sa tír seo, tógfaidh mise suas sibh agus ní chaithfidh mé síos sibh; plandóidh mé sibh agus ní tharraingeoidh mé aníos sibh. Óir tá aiféala orm faoin olc a rinne mé oraibh.
10 Si os quedareis quietos en esta tierra, os edificaré, y no os destruiré; os plantaré, y no os arrancaré: porque arrepentido estoy del mal que os he hecho.
10 Werdet ihr in diesem Lande bleiben, so will ich euch bauen und nicht zerbrechen; ich will euch pflanzen und nicht ausreuten; denn es hat mich schon gereut das Übel, das ich euch getan habe.
11 Have no fear of the king of Babylon, of whom you are now in fear; have no fear of him, says the Lord: for I am with you to keep you safe and to give you salvation from his hands.
11 Ne craignez pas le roi de Babylone, dont vous avez peur; ne le craignez pas, dit l'Éternel, car je suis avec vous pour vous sauver et vous délivrer de sa main;
11 Ná bíodh eagla rí na Bablóine oraibh faoi mar atá; ná bígí i bhfaitíos roimhe - a deir an Tiarna - óir táimse libh do bhur bhfuascailt agus do bhur sábháil as a láimh.
11 No temáis de la presencia del rey de Babilonia, del cual tenéis temor; no temáis de su presencia, ha dicho Jehová, porque con vosotros estoy yo para salvaros y libraros de su mano:
11 Ihr sollt euch nicht fürchten vor dem König zu Babel, vor dem ihr euch fürchtet, spricht der HERR; ihr sollt euch vor ihm nicht fürchten, denn ich will bei euch sein, daß ich euch helfe und von seiner Hand errette.
12 And I will have mercy on you, so that he may have mercy on you and let you go back to your land.
12 je lui inspirerai de la compassion pour vous, et il aura pitié de vous, et il vous laissera demeurer dans votre pays.
12 Glacfaidh mé trua daoibh, le go mbeidh trua aigesan daoibh agus go ligfidh sé daoibh cur fúibh in bhur ndúiche féin.
12 Y os daré misericordias, y tendrá misericordia de vosotros, y os hará tornar á vuestra tierra.
12 Ich will euch Barmherzigkeit erzeigen und mich über euch erbarmen und euch wieder in euer Land bringen.
13 But if you say, We have no desire to go on living in this land; and do not give ear to the voice of the Lord your God,
13 Mais si vous n'obéissez pas à la voix de l'Éternel, votre Dieu,
13 Ach má deir sibh: Ní maith linn fanacht sa tír seo; agus gan umhlú do ghlór an Tiarna bhur nDia,
13 Mas si dijereis: No moraremos en esta tierra, no obedeciendo así á la voz de Jehová vuestro Dios,
13 Werdet ihr aber sagen: Wir wollen nicht in diesem Lande bleiben, damit ihr ja nicht gehorcht der Stimme des HERRN, eures Gottes,
14 Saying, No, but we will go into the land of Egypt, where we will not see war, or be hearing the sound of the horn, or be in need of food; there we will make our living-place;
14 et si vous dites: Nous ne resterons pas dans ce pays, non, nous irons au pays d'Égypte, où nous ne verrons point de guerre, où nous n'entendrons pas le son de la trompette, où nous ne manquerons pas de pain, et c'est là que nous habiterons, -
14 á rá: Ní hea, ach rachaimid go tír na hÉigipte, áit nach bhfeicfimid cogadh ar bith agus nach gcluinfimid fuaim an stoic agus nach mbeidh easpa aráin orainn; is ann a dhéanfaimid cónaí.
14 Y diciendo: No, antes nos entraremos en tierra de Egipto, en la cual no veremos guerra, ni oiremos sonido de trompeta, ni tendremos hambre de pan, y allá moraremos:
14 sondern sagen: Nein, wir wollen nach Ägyptenland ziehen, daß wir keinen Krieg sehen noch der Posaune Schall hören und nicht Hunger Brots halben leiden müssen; daselbst wollen wir bleiben:
15 Then give ear now to the word of the Lord, O you last of Judah: the Lord of armies, the God of Israel, has said, If your minds are fixed on going into Egypt and stopping there;
15 alors écoutez la parole de l'Éternel, restes de Juda! Ainsi parle l'Éternel des armées, le Dieu d'Israël: Si vous tournez le visage pour aller en Égypte, si vous y allez demeurer,
15 Más mar sin é, éistigí le briathar an Tiarna Dia, sibhse a fhuíoll Iúdá. Is mar seo a deir Tiarna na Slua, Dia Iosrael:
15 Ahora por eso, oid la palabra de Jehová, reliquias de Judá: Así ha dicho Jehová de los ejércitos, Dios de Israel: Si vosotros volviereis vuestros rostros para entrar en Egipto, y entrareis para peregrinar allá,
15 nun so hört des HERRN Wort, ihr übrigen aus Juda! So spricht der HERR Zebaoth, der Gott Israels: Werdet ihr euer Angesicht richten, nach Ägyptenland zu ziehen, daß ihr daselbst bleiben wollt,
16 Then it will come about that the sword, which is the cause of your fear, will overtake you there in the land of Egypt, and need of food, which you are fearing, will go after you there in Egypt; and there death will come to you.
16 l'épée que vous redoutez vous atteindra là au pays d'Égypte, la famine que vous craignez s'attachera à vous là en Égypte, et vous y mourrez.
16 Má chuireann sibhse bhur n‑aighthe go daingean ar dhul don Éigipt, agus imeacht agus dul a chónaí ann, ansin tiocfaidh i gcríoch, an claíomh, a bhfuil bhur n‑eagla roimhe, go mbéarfaidh sé oraibh i dtír na hÉigipte; agus an gorta, a bhfuil eagla oraibh roimhe, go leanfaidh sé sibh don Éigipt; agus éagfaidh sibh ansin.
16 Será que el cuchillo que teméis, os alcanzará allí en tierra de Egipto, y el hambre de que tenéis temor, allá en Egipto se os pegará; y allí moriréis.
16 so soll euch das Schwert, vor dem ihr euch fürchtet, in Ägyptenland treffen, und der Hunger, des ihr euch besorgt, soll stets hinter euch her sein in Ägypten, und sollt daselbst sterben.
17 Such will be the fate of all the men whose minds are fixed on going into Egypt and stopping there; they will come to their end by the sword, by being short of food, and by disease: not one of them will keep his life or get away from the evil which I will send on them.
17 Tous ceux qui tourneront le visage pour aller en Égypte, afin d'y demeurer, mourront par l'épée, par la famine ou par la peste, et nul n'échappera, ne fuira, devant les malheurs que je ferai venir sur eux.
17 Is mar sin a bheidh ag an uile fhear a chuirfidh a aghaidh ar dhul a chónaí don Éigipt, éagfaidh siad leis an gclaíomh, leis an ngorta agus leis an bplá; ní mhairfidh aon duine acu agus ní rachaidh caonaí slán ón olc a bhéarfaidh mise orthu.
17 Será pues, que todos los hombres que tornaren sus rostros para entrarse en Egipto, para peregrinar allí, morirán á cuchillo, de hambre, y de pestilencia: no habrá de ellos quien quede vivo, ni quien escape delante del mal que traeré yo sobre ellos.
17 Denn sie seien, wer sie wollen, die ihr Angesicht richten, daß sie nach Ägypten ziehen, daselbst zu bleiben, die sollen sterben durchs Schwert, Hunger und Pestilenz, und soll keiner übrigbleiben noch entrinnen dem Übel, das ich über sie will kommen lassen.
18 For this is what the Lord of armies, the God of Israel, has said: As my wrath and passion have been let loose on the people of Jerusalem, so will my passion be let loose on you when you go into Egypt: and you will become an oath and a cause of wonder and a curse and a name of shame; and you will never see this place again.
18 Car ainsi parle l'Éternel des armées, le Dieu d'Israël: De même que ma colère et ma fureur se sont répandues sur les habitants de Jérusalem, de même ma fureur se répandra sur vous, si vous allez en Égypte; vous serez un sujet d'exécration, d'épouvante, de malédiction et d'opprobre, et vous ne verrez plus ce lieu.
18 Sea, is mar seo a deir Tiarna na Slua, Dia Iosrael: Díreach mar a doirteadh m'fhearg agus m'fhíoch amach ar áitritheoirí Iarúsailéim, is mar an gcéanna a dhoirtfear m'fhearg amach oraibhse, má théann sibh don Éigipt: beidh sibh mar dhíol eascaine agus mar uafás, mar mhasla agus mar cheap magaidh; agus ní fheicfidh sibh an áit seo arís go deo.’ ”
18 Porque así ha dicho Jehová de los ejércitos, Dios de Israel: Como se derramó mi enojo y mi ira sobre los moradores de Jerusalem, así se derramará mi ira sobre vosotros, cuando entrareis en Egipto; y seréis por juramento y por espanto, y por maldición y por afrenta; y no veréis más este lugar.
18 Denn so spricht der HERR Zebaoth, der Gott Israels: Gleichwie mein Zorn und Grimm über die Einwohner zu Jerusalem ausgeschüttet ist, so soll er auch über euch ausgeschüttet werden, wo ihr nach Ägypten zieht, daß ihr zum Fluch, zum Wunder, Schwur und Schande werdet und diese Stätte nicht mehr sehen sollt.
19 The Lord has said about you, O last of Judah, Go not into Egypt: be certain that I have given witness to you this day.
19 Restes de Juda, l'Éternel vous dit: N'allez pas en Égypte! sachez que je vous le défends aujourd'hui.
19 [D'fhreagair Irimia: “A fhuíoll Iúdá, deir an Tiarna féin libh: ‘Ná téigí don Éigipt.’ Bíodh a fhios seo agaibh go maith: Thug mise rabhadh sollúnta daoibh inniu féin.
19 Jehová habló sobre vosotros, oh reliquias de Judá: No entréis en Egipto: sabed por cierto que os aviso hoy.
19 Das Wort des HERRN gilt euch, ihr übrigen aus Juda, daß ihr nicht nach Ägypten zieht. Darum so wisset, daß ich euch heute bezeuge;
20 For you have been acting with deceit in your hearts; for you sent me to the Lord your God, saying, Make prayer for us to the Lord our God, and give us word of everything he may say, and we will do it.
20 Vous vous trompez vous-mêmes, car vous m'avez envoyé vers l'Éternel, votre Dieu, en disant: Intercède en notre faveur auprès de l'Éternel, notre Dieu, fais-nous connaître tout ce que l'Éternel, notre Dieu, dira, et nous le ferons.
20 Is ag ligean oraibh in bhur gcroí a bhí sibh nuair a chuir sibh mise chun an Tiarna bhur nDia, á rá: ‘Déan idirghuí ar ár son leis an Tiarna ár nDia; inis dúinn an uile ní a déarfaidh an Tiarna ár nDia, agus déanfaimidne é.’
20 ¿Por qué hicisteis errar vuestras almas? porque vosotros me enviasteis á Jehová vuestro Dios, diciendo: Ora por nosotros á Jehová nuestro Dios; y conforme á todas las cosas que Jehová nuestro Dios dijere, háznoslo saber así, y lo pondremos por obra.
20 ihr werdet sonst euer Leben verwahrlosen. Denn ihr habt mich gesandt zum HERRN, eurem Gott, und gesagt: Bitte den HERRN, unsern Gott, für uns; und alles, was der HERR, unser Gott, sagen wird, das zeige uns an, so wollen wir darnach tun.
21 And this day I have made it clear to you, and you have not given ear to the voice of the Lord your God in anything for which he has sent me to you.
21 Je vous l'ai déclaré aujourd'hui; mais vous n'écoutez pas la voix de l'Éternel, votre Dieu, ni tout ce qu'il m'a chargé de vous dire.
21 Agus anois d'fhoilsigh mé daoibh é, agus níor umhlaigh sibh do ghuth an Tiarna bhur nDia ná d'aon ní den mhéid a d'ordaigh sé dom a rá libh.
21 Y os lo he denunciado hoy, y no habéis obedecido á la voz de Jehová vuestro Dios, ni á todas las cosas por las cuales me envió á vosotros.
21 Das habe ich euch heute zu wissen getan; aber ihr wollt der Stimme des HERRN, eures Gottes, nicht gehorchen noch alle dem, das er mir befohlen hat.
22 And now be certain that you will come to your end by the sword and by being short of food and by disease, in the place to which you are pleased to go for a living-place.
22 Sachez maintenant que vous mourrez par l'épée, par la famine ou par la peste, dans le lieu où vous voulez aller pour y demeurer.
