1 And Zedekiah, the son of Josiah, became king in place of Coniah, the son of Jehoiakim, whom Nebuchadrezzar, king of Babylon, made king in the land of Judah.
1 Sédécias, fils de Josias, régna à la place de Jeconia, fils de Jojakim, et fut établi roi dans le pays de Juda par Nebucadnetsar, roi de Babylone.
1 Rinneadh rí de Zidicíá mac Iahóiácaím i ndiaidh Choiniá mac Ióisíá; rinne Nabúcadnazar rí na Bablóine, rí de i dtír Iúdá.
1 Y REINO el rey Sedechîas hijo de Josías, en lugar de Conías hijo de Joacim, al cual Nabucodonosor rey de Babilonia había constituído por rey en la tierra de Judá.
1 Und da Zedekia, der Sohn Josias, ward König anstatt Jechonjas, des Sohnes Jojakims; denn Nebukadnezar, der König zu Babel machte ihn zum König im Lande Juda.
2 But he and his servants and the people of the land did not give ear to the words of the Lord which he said by Jeremiah the prophet.
2 Ni lui, ni ses serviteurs, ni le peuple du pays, n'écoutèrent les paroles que l'Éternel prononça par Jérémie, le prophète.
2 Ach níor thug sé féin ná a mhuintir, ná pobal na tíre aon aird ar bhriathra an Tiarna a labhair sé tríd an bhfáidh Irimia.
2 Mas no obedeció él, ni sus siervos, ni el pueblo de la tierra á las palabras de Jehová, que dijo por el profeta Jeremías.
2 Aber er und seine Knechte und das Volk im Lande gehorchten nicht des HERRN Worten, die er durch den Propheten Jeremia redete.
3 And Zedekiah the king sent Jehucal, the son of Shelemiah, and Zephaniah, the son of Maaseiah the priest, to the prophet Jeremiah, saying, Make prayer now to the Lord our God for us.
3 Le roi Sédécias envoya Jucal, fils de Schélémia, et Sophonie, fils de Maaséja, le sacrificateur, vers Jérémie, le prophète, pour lui dire: Intercède en notre faveur auprès de l'Éternel, notre Dieu.
3 Chuir an rí Zidicíá Iahucal mac Shealaimiá agus an sagart Zafainiá mac Mhásaeiá chun an fáidh Irimia, á rá: “Guigh chun an Tiarna ár nDia ar ár son.”
3 Y envió el rey Sedechîas á Jucal hijo de Selemías, y á Sephanías hijo de Maasías sacerdote, para que dijesen al profeta Jeremías: Ruega ahora por nosotros á Jehová nuestro Dios.
3 Es sandte gleichwohl der König Zedekia Juchal, den Sohn Selemjas, und Zephanja, den Sohn Maasejas, den Priester, zum Propheten Jeremia und ließ ihm sagen: Bitte den HERRN, unsern Gott, für uns!
4 (Now Jeremiah was going about among the people, for they had not put him in prison.
4 Or Jérémie allait et venait parmi le peuple; on ne l'avait pas encore mis en prison.
4 Anois bhí cead a chos fós ag Irimia i measc an phobail; níor cuireadh fós i bpríosún é.
4 Y Jeremías entraba y salía en medio del pueblo; porque no lo habían puesto en la casa de la cárcel.
4 Denn Jeremia ging unter dem Volk aus und ein, und niemand legte ihn ins Gefängnis.
5 And Pharaoh's army had come out from Egypt: and the Chaldaeans, who were attacking Jerusalem, hearing news of them, went away from Jerusalem.)
5 L'armée de Pharaon était sortie d'Égypte; et les Chaldéens, qui assiégeaient Jérusalem, ayant appris cette nouvelle, s'étaient retirés de Jérusalem.
5 Idir an dá linn thug slua Fhorainn an bóthar orthu as an Éigipt agus nuair a chuala na Caildéigh a bhí ag cur léigir ar Iarúsailéim an scéala d'imigh siad ón gcathair.
5 Y como el ejército de Faraón hubo salido de Egipto, y vino la fama de ellos á oídos de los Caldeos que tenían cercada á Jerusalem, partiéronse de Jerusalem.
5 Es war aber das Heer Pharaos aus Ägypten gezogen: und die Chaldäer, so vor Jerusalem lagen, da sie solch Gerücht gehört hatten, waren von Jerusalem abgezogen.
6 Then the word of the Lord came to the prophet Jeremiah, saying,
6 Alors la parole de l'Éternel fut adressée à Jérémie, le prophète, en ces mots:
6 Ansin tháinig briathar an Tiarna chuig Irimia fáidh:
6 Entonces fué palabra de Jehová á Jeremías profeta, diciendo:
6 Und des HERRN Wort geschah zum Propheten Jeremia und sprach:
7 The Lord, the God of Israel, has said: This is what you are to say to the king of Judah who sent you to get directions from me: See, Pharaoh's army, which has come out to your help, will go back to Egypt, to their land.
7 Ainsi parle l'Éternel, le Dieu d'Israël: Vous direz au roi de Juda, qui vous a envoyés vers moi pour me consulter: Voici, l'armée de Pharaon, qui était en marche pour vous secourir, retourne dans son pays, en Égypte;
7 “Is mar seo a deir an Tiarna, Dia Iosrael: ‘Le rí Iúdá a chuir chugamsa thú le dul i gcomhairle liom, abair é seo: An bhfuil slua Fhorainn ag teacht i gcabhair oraibh? Fillfidh siad dá dtír féin, an Éigipt.
7 Así ha dicho Jehová Dios de Israel: Diréis así al rey de Judá, que os envió á mí para que me preguntaseis: He aquí que el ejército de Faraón que había salido en vuestro socorro, se volvió á su tierra en Egipto.
7 So spricht der HERR, der Gott Israels: So sagt dem König Juda's, der euch zu mir gesandt hat, mich zu fragen: Siehe, das Heer Pharaos, das euch zu Hilfe ist ausgezogen, wird wiederum heim nach Ägypten ziehen;
8 And the Chaldaeans will come back again and make war against this town and they will take it and put it on fire.
8 et les Chaldéens reviendront, ils attaqueront cette ville, ils la prendront, et la brûleront par le feu.
8 Tiocfaidh na Caildéigh arís, ionsóidh siad an chathair seo; tógfaidh siad í agus dófaidh go talamh í.
8 Y tornarán los Caldeos, y combatirán esta ciudad, y la tomarán, y la pondrán á fuego.
8 und die Chaldäer werden wiederkommen und wider diese Stadt streiten und sie gewinnen und mit Feuer verbrennen.
9 The Lord has said, Have no false hopes, saying to yourselves, The Chaldaeans will go away from us: for they will not go away.
9 Ainsi parle l'Éternel: Ne vous faites pas d'illusion, en disant: Les Chaldéens s'en iront loin de nous! Car ils ne s'en iront pas.
9 Ná meallaigí sibh féin á rá: Tá na Caildéigh ag imeacht uainn faoi dheireadh. Níl siad ag imeacht.
9 Así ha dicho Jehová: No engañéis vuestras almas, diciendo: Sin duda los Caldeos se han ido de nosotros: porque no se irán.
9 Darum spricht der HERR also: Betrügt eure Seelen nicht, daß ihr denkt, die Chaldäer werden von uns abziehen; sie werden nicht abziehen.
10 For even if you had overcome all the army of the Chaldaeans fighting against you, and there were only wounded men among them, still they would get up, every man in his tent, and put this town on fire.
10 Et même quand vous battriez toute l'armée des Chaldéens qui vous font la guerre, quand il ne resterait d'eux que des hommes blessés, ils se relèveraient chacun dans sa tente, et brûleraient cette ville par le feu.
10 Dá mb'ea go leagfadh sibh slua uile na gCaildéach atá ag troid in bhur n‑aghaidh anois agus nach mairfeadh díobh ach na fir loite, d'éireoidís arís, gach uile fhear acu ina bhoth, chun an chathair seo a dhó go talamh.’ ” Irimia faoi Ghlas
10 Porque aun cuando hirieseis todo el ejército de los Caldeos que pelean con vosotros, y quedasen de ellos hombres alanceados, cada uno se levantará de su tienda, y pondrán esta ciudad á fuego.
10 Und wenn ihr schon schlüget das ganze Heer der Chaldäer, so wider euch streiten, und blieben ihrer etliche verwundet übrig, so würden sie doch, ein jeglicher in seinem Gezelt, sich aufmachen und diese Stadt mit Feuer verbrennen.
11 And it came about that when the Chaldaean army outside Jerusalem had gone away for fear of Pharaoh's army,
11 Pendant que l'armée des Chaldéens s'était éloignée de Jérusalem, à cause de l'armée de Pharaon,
11 Tharla, nuair a scoir slua na gCaildéach den léigear ar Iarúsailéim ar eagla shlua Fhorainn,
11 Y aconteció que, como el ejército de los Caldeos se fué de Jerusalem á causa del ejército de Faraón,
11 Als nun der Chaldäer Heer von Jerusalem war abgezogen um des Heeres willen Pharaos,
12 Jeremiah went out of Jerusalem to go into the land of Benjamin, with the purpose of taking up his heritage there among the people.
12 Jérémie voulut sortir de Jérusalem, pour aller dans le pays de Benjamin et s'échapper du milieu du peuple.
12 gur thug Irimia aghaidh ó Iarúsailéim le dul go tír Bhiniáimin chun a shealúchas a dhealú ansin i measc a phobail féin.
12 Salíase de Jerusalem Jeremías para irse á tierra de Benjamín, para apartarse de allí en medio del pueblo.
12 ging Jeremia aus Jerusalem und wollte ins Land Benjamin gehen, seinen Acker in Besitz zu nehmen unter dem Volk.
13 But when he was at the Benjamin door, a captain of the watch named Irijah, the son of Shelemiah, the son of Hananiah, who was stationed there, put his hand on Jeremiah the prophet, saying, You are going to give yourself up to the Chaldaeans.
13 Lorsqu'il fut à la porte de Benjamin, le commandant de la garde, nommé Jireija, fils de Schélémia, fils de Hanania, se trouvait là, et il saisit Jérémie, le prophète, en disant: Tu passes aux Chaldéens!
13 Bhí sé i nGeata Bhiniáimin nuair a thóg fear faire ansin darb ainm Iríá mac Shealaimiá, mac Hanainiá, Irimia fáidh i láimh. “Tá tú ag dul do thaobh na gCaildéach,” ar sé.
13 Y cuando fué á la puerta de Benjamín, estaba allí un prepósito que se llamaba Irías, hijo de Selemías hijo de Hananías, el cual prendió á Jeremías profeta, diciendo: Fnatú te retiras á los Caldeos.
13 Und da er unter das Tor Benjamin kam, da war einer bestellt zum Torhüter, mit Namen Jeria, der Sohn Selemjas, des Sohnes Hananjas; der griff den Propheten Jeremia und sprach: Du willst zu den Chaldäern fallen.
14 Then Jeremiah said, That is not true; I am not going to the Chaldaeans. But he would not give ear to him: so Irijah made him prisoner and took him to the rulers.
14 Jérémie répondit: C'est faux! je ne passe pas aux Chaldéens. Mais Jireija ne l'écouta point; il arrêta Jérémie, et le conduisit devant les chefs.
14 “Ní fíor sin!” a dúirt Irimia. “Nílimse ag dul do thaobh na gCaildéach.” Ach ní éisteodh Iríá le Irimia agus thóg i láimh é go dtí na feidhmeannaigh.
14 Y Jeremías dijo: Falso: no me retiro á los Caldeos. Mas él no lo escuchó, antes prendió Irías á Jeremías, y llevólo delante de los príncipes.
14 Jeremia sprach: Das ist nicht wahr; ich will nicht zu den Chaldäern fallen. Aber Jeria wollte ihn nicht hören, sondern griff Jeremia und brachte ihn zu den Fürsten.
15 And the rulers were angry with Jeremiah, and gave him blows and put him in prison in the house of Jonathan the scribe: for they had made that the prison.
15 Les chefs, irrités contre Jérémie, le frappèrent, et le mirent en prison dans la maison de Jonathan, le secrétaire; car ils en avaient fait une prison.
15 Bhí na feidhmeannaigh ar deargbhuile le Irimia, d'ordaigh siad é a bhualadh agus a chur faoi ghlas i dteach Iónátán rúnaí a ndearnadh príosún de.
15 Y los príncipes se airaron contra Jeremías, y azotáronle, y pusiéronle en prisión en la casa de Jonathán escriba, porque aquélla habían hecho casa de cárcel.
15 Und die Fürsten wurden zornig über Jeremia und ließen ihn schlagen und warfen ihn ins Gefängnis im Hause Jonathans, des Schreibers; den setzten sie zum Kerkermeister.
16 So Jeremiah came into the hole of the prison, under the arches, and was there for a long time.
16 Ce fut ainsi que Jérémie entra dans la prison et dans les cachots, où il resta longtemps.
16 Is mar sin a d'éirigh do Irimia a bheith i gcillín faoi thalamh. Agus d'fhan sé seal fada ann.
16 Entró pues Jeremías en la casa de la mazmorra, y en las camarillas. Y habiendo estado allá Jeremías por muchos días,
16 Also ging Jeremia in die Grube und den Kerker und lag lange Zeit daselbst.
17 Then King Zedekiah sent and got him out: and the king, questioning him secretly in his house, said, Is there any word from the Lord? And Jeremiah said, There is. Then he said, You will be given up into the hands of the king of Babylon.
17 Le roi Sédécias l'envoya chercher, et l'interrogea secrètement dans sa maison. Il dit: Y a-t-il une parole de la part de l'Éternel? Jérémie répondit: Oui. Et il ajouta: Tu seras livré entre les mains du roi de Babylone.
17 Chuir Zidicíá an rí fios air agus rug amach é. Cheistigh sé go rúnda é ina phálás: “An bhfuil focal ar bith ón Tiarna?” d'fhiafraigh sé. “Tá sin,” a dúirt Irimia, “tabharfar thusa i láimh rí na Bablóine,” ar sé.
17 El rey Sedechîas envió, y sacóle; y preguntóle el rey escondidamente en su casa, y dijo: ¿Hay palabra de Jehová? Y Jeremías dijo: Hay. Y dijo más: En mano del rey de Babilonia serás entregado.
17 Und Zedekia, der König, sandte hin und ließ ihn holen und fragte ihn heimlich in seinem Hause und sprach: Ist auch ein Wort vom HERRN vorhanden? Jeremia sprach: Ja; denn du wirst dem König zu Babel in die Hände gegeben werden.
18 Then Jeremiah said to King Zedekiah, What has been my sin against you or against your servants or against this people, that you have put me in prison?
18 Jérémie dit encore au roi Sédécias: En quoi ai-je péché contre toi, contre tes serviteurs, et contre ce peuple, pour que vous m'ayez mis en prison?
18 Ansin dúirt Irimia leis an rí Zidicíá: “Céard a rinne mise i d'aghaidhse, nó in aghaidh do sheirbhíseach, nó in aghaidh an phobail seo, as ar chuir tú i bpríosún mé?
18 Dijo también Jeremías al rey Sedechîas: ¿En qué pequé contra ti, y contra tus siervos, y contra este pueblo, para que me pusieseis en la casa de la cárcel?
18 Und Jeremia sprach zum König Zedekia: Was habe ich wider dich, wider deine Knechte und wider dein Volk gesündigt, daß sie mich in den Kerker geworfen haben?
19 Where now are your prophets who said to you, The king of Babylon will not come against you and against this land?
19 Et où sont vos prophètes qui vous prophétisaient, en disant: Le roi de Babylone ne viendra pas contre vous, ni contre ce pays?
19 Cén áit anois a bhfuil do fháithe a thairngir duit á rá: ‘Ní thiocfaidh rí na Bablóine in bhur n‑aghaidhse, ná in aghaidh na tíre seo?’
19 ¿Y dónde están vuestros profetas que os profetizaban, diciendo: No vendrá el rey de Babilonia contra vosotros, ni contra esta tierra?
19 Wo sind nun eure Propheten, die euch weissagten und sprachen: Der König zu Babel wird nicht über euch noch über dies Land kommen?
20 And now be pleased to give ear, O my lord the king; let my prayer for help come before you, and do not make me go back to the house of Jonathan the scribe, for fear that I may come to my death there.
20 Maintenant, écoute, je te prie, ô roi, mon seigneur, et que mes supplications soient favorablement reçues devant toi! Ne me renvoie pas dans la maison de Jonathan, le secrétaire, de peur que je n'y meure!
20 Éist anois liom, iarraim d'achainí ort, mo thiarna an rí; go nglactar go fabhrach leis an impí a dhéanaim i do láthair. Ná hordaigh mé a bhreith ar ais go teach Iónátán rúnaí, ar fhaitíos go bhfaghainn bás ansin.”
20 Ahora pues, oye, te ruego, oh rey mi señor: caiga ahora mi súplica delante de ti, y no me hagas volver á casa de Jonathán escriba, porque no me muera allí.
20 Und nun, mein Herr König, höre mich und laß meine Bitte vor dir gelten und laß mich nicht wieder in Jonathans, des Schreibers, Haus bringen, daß ich nicht sterbe daselbst.
21 Then by the order of Zedekiah the king, Jeremiah was put into the place of the armed watchmen, and they gave him every day a cake of bread from the street of the bread-makers, till all the bread in the town was used up. So Jeremiah was kept in the place of the armed watchmen.
21 Le roi Sédécias ordonna qu'on gardât Jérémie dans la cour de la prison, et qu'on lui donnât chaque jour un pain de la rue des boulangers, jusqu'à ce que tout le pain de la ville fût consommé. Ainsi Jérémie demeura dans la cour de la prison.
