1 Now these are the words of the letter which Jeremiah the prophet sent from Jerusalem to the responsible men among those who had been taken away, and to the priests and the prophets and to all the rest of the people whom Nebuchadnezzar had taken away prisoners from Jerusalem to Babylon;
1 Voici le contenu de la lettre que Jérémie, le prophète, envoya de Jérusalem au reste des anciens en captivité, aux sacrificateurs, aux prophètes, et à tout le peuple, que Nebucadnetsar avait emmenés captifs de Jérusalem à Babylone,
1 Is iad seo briathra na litre a chuir Irimia fáidh ó Iarúsailéim chun na seanóirí sin a tugadh ar deoraíocht, chun na sagart, na bhfáithe agus chun an phobail uile a rug Nabúcadnazar leis ar deoraíocht ó Iarúsailéim don Bhablóin.
1 Y ESTAS son las palabras de la carta que Jeremías profeta envió de Jerusalem á los ancianos que habían quedado de los trasportados, y á los sacerdotes y profetas, y á todo el pueblo que Nabucodonosor llevó cautivo de Jerusalem á Babilonia:
1 Dies sind die Worte in dem Brief, den der Prophet Jeremia sandte von Jerusalem an die übrigen Ältesten, die weggeführt waren, und an die Priester und Propheten und an das ganze Volk, das Nebukadnezar von Jerusalem hatte weggeführt gen Babel
2 (After Jeconiah the king and the queen-mother and the unsexed servants and the rulers of Judah and Jerusalem and the expert workmen and the metal-workers had gone away from Jerusalem;)
2 après que le roi Jeconia, la reine, les eunuques, les chefs de Juda et de Jérusalem, les charpentiers et les serruriers, furent sortis de Jérusalem.
2 Ba tar éis Iacoiniá an rí, an ríonmháthair, na seomróirí, maithe Iúdá agus Iarúsailéim, agus na gaibhne agus na ceardaithe a imeacht as Iarúsailéim é.
2 (Después que salió el rey Jechônías y la reina, y los de palacio, y los príncipes de Judá y de Jerusalem, y los artífices, y los ingenieros de Jerusalem;)
2 (nachdem der König Jechonja und die Königin mit den Kämmerern und Fürsten in Juda und Jerusalem samt den Zimmerleuten und Schmieden zu Jerusalem weg waren),
3 By the hand of Elasah, the son of Shaphan, and Gemariah, the son of Hilkiah, (whom Zedekiah, king of Judah, sent to Babylon, to Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon,) saying,
3 Il la remit à Éleasa, fils de Schaphan, et à Guemaria, fils de Hilkija, envoyés à Babylone par Sédécias, roi de Juda, auprès de Nebucadnetsar, roi de Babylone. Elle était ainsi conçue:
3 Seachadadh an litir le cabhair Ealásá mac Sheáfán agus Ghamairiá mac Hilcíá a chuir Zidicíá rí Iúdá don Bhablóin go Nabúcadnazar rí na Bablóine. Mar seo a ghabh an litir:
3 Por mano de Elasa hijo de Saphán, y de Jemarías hijo de Hilcías, (los cuales envió Sedechîas rey de Judá á Babilonia, á Nabucodonosor rey de Babilonia,) diciendo:
3 durch Eleasa, den Sohn Saphans, und Gemarja, den Sohn Hilkias, welche Zedekia, der König Juda's, sandte gen Babel zu Nebukadnezar, dem König zu Babel:
4 This is what the Lord of armies, the God of Israel, has said to all those whom I have taken away prisoners from Jerusalem to Babylon:
4 Ainsi parle l'Éternel des armées, le Dieu d'Israël, à tous les captifs que j'ai emmenés de Jérusalem à Babylone:
4 Is mar seo a deir Tiarna na Slua, Dia Iosrael, leis na deoraithe uile a tugadh ar shiúl ó Iarúsailéim don Bhablóin:
4 Así ha dicho Jehová de los ejércitos, Dios de Israel, á todos los de la cautividad que hice trasportar de Jerusalem á Babilonia:
4 So spricht der HERR Zebaoth, der Gott Israels, zu allen Gefangenen, die ich habe von Jerusalem wegführen lassen gen Babel:
5 Go on building houses and living in them, and planting gardens and using the fruit of them;
5 Bâtissez des maisons, et habitez-les; plantez des jardins, et mangez-en les fruits.
5 “Tógaigí tithe, déanaigí cónaí iontu; cuirigí garraithe agus ithigí a dtorthaí;
5 Edificad casas, y morad; y plantad huertos, y comed del fruto de ellos;
5 Bauet Häuser, darin ihr wohnen möget, pflanzet Gärten, daraus ihr Früchte essen möget;
6 Take wives and have sons and daughters, and take wives for your sons, and give your daughters to husbands, so that they may have sons and daughters; and be increased in number there and do not become less.
6 Prenez des femmes, et engendrez des fils et des filles; prenez des femmes pour vos fils, et donnez des maris à vos filles, afin qu'elles enfantent des fils et des filles; multipliez là où vous êtes, et ne diminuez pas.
6 tógaigí mná agus ginigí mic agus iníonacha; toghaigí mná do bhur mic; faighigí fir do bhur n‑iníonacha le go mbeire siadsan, ar a seal, mic agus iníonacha; caithfidh sibh dul i líonmhaire ansin agus ní i laghad.
6 Casaos, y engendrad hijos é hijas; dad mujeres á vuestros hijos, y dad maridos á vuestras hijas, para que paran hijos é hijas; y multiplicaos ahí, y no os hagáis pocos.
6 nehmet Weiber und zeuget Söhne und Töchter; nehmet euren Söhnen Weiber und gebet euren Töchtern Männern, daß sie Söhne und Töchter zeugen; mehret euch daselbst, daß euer nicht wenig sei.
7 And be working for the peace of the land to which I have had you taken away prisoners, and make prayer to the Lord for it: for in its peace you will have peace.
7 Recherchez le bien de la ville où je vous ai menés en captivité, et priez l'Éternel en sa faveur, parce que votre bonheur dépend du sien.
7 Déanaigí leas na [tíre] inar chuir mise sibh ar deoraíocht; guígí chun an Tiarna ar a son, óir is ar a leas siúd atá seasamh bhur leasa-sa ag brath,”
7 Y procurad la paz de la ciudad á la cual os hice traspasar, y rogad por ella á Jehová; porque en su paz tendréis vosotros paz.
7 Suchet der Stadt Bestes, dahin ich euch habe lassen wegführen, und betet für sie zum HERRN; denn wenn's ihr wohl geht, so geht's auch euch wohl.
8 For this is what the Lord of armies, the God of Israel, has said: Do not let yourselves be tricked by the prophets who are among you, and the readers of signs, and give no attention to their dreams which they may have;
8 Car ainsi parle l'Éternel des armées, le Dieu d'Israël: Ne vous laissez pas tromper par vos prophètes qui sont au milieu de vous, et par vos devins, n'écoutez pas vos songeurs dont vous provoquez les songes!
8 ach is mar seo a deir Tiarna na Slua, Dia Iosrael: ‘Ná mealladh bhur bhfáithe sibh ná na greasadóirí atá in bhur measc; ná héistigí leis na haislingeacha a aislingíonn siad,
8 Porque así ha dicho Jehová de los ejércitos, Dios de Israel: No os engañen vuestros profetas que están entre vosotros, ni vuestros adivinos; ni miréis á vuestros sueños que soñáis.
8 Denn so spricht der HERR Zebaoth, der Gott Israels: Laßt euch die Propheten, die bei euch sind, und die Wahrsager nicht betrügen und gehorcht euren Träumen nicht, die euch träumen.
9 For they are saying to you what is false in my name: I have not sent them, says the Lord.
9 Car c'est le mensonge qu'ils vous prophétisent en mon nom. Je ne les ai point envoyés, dit l'Éternel.
9 óir tairngríonn siad daoibh go bréagach i m'ainmse. Ní mise a chuir uaim iad - an Tiarna a labhraíonn.’ ”
9 Porque falsamente os profetizan ellos en mi nombre: no los envié, ha dicho Jehová.
9 Denn sie weissagen euch falsch in meinem Namen; ich habe sie nicht gesandt, spricht der HERR.
10 For this is what the Lord has said: When seventy years are ended for Babylon, I will have pity on you and give effect to my good purpose for you, causing you to come back to this place.
10 Mais voici ce que dit l'Éternel: Dès que soixante-dix ans seront écoulés pour Babylone, je me souviendrai de vous, et j'accomplirai à votre égard ma bonne parole, en vous ramenant dans ce lieu.
10 Óir is mar seo a deir an Tiarna: “Ní go mbeidh an seachtó bliain a deonaíodh don Bhablóin istigh, a thiocfaidh mé ar cuairt chugaibh agus a chomhlíonfaidh mé mo gheallúint daoibh, sibh a thabhairt ar ais don áit seo.
10 Porque así dijo Jehová: Cuando en Babilonia se cumplieren los setenta años, yo os visitaré, y despertaré sobre vosotros mi buena palabra, para tornaros á este lugar.
10 Denn so spricht der HERR: Wenn zu Babel siebzig Jahre aus sind, so will ich euch besuchen und will mein gnädiges Wort über euch erwecken, daß ich euch wieder an diesen Ort bringe.
11 For I am conscious of my thoughts about you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you hope at the end.
11 Car je connais les projets que j'ai formés sur vous, dit l'Éternel, projets de paix et non de malheur, afin de vous donner un avenir et de l'espérance.
11 Óir tá fios mo smaointe agam in bhur dtaobh - an Tiarna a labhraíonn - smaointe síochána agus ní oilc, a thabhairt croí agus dóchais daoibh.
11 Porque yo sé los pensamientos que tengo acerca de vosotros, dice Jehová, pensamientos de paz, y no de mal, para daros el fin que esperáis.
11 Denn ich weiß wohl, was ich für Gedanken über euch habe, spricht der HERR: Gedanken des Friedens und nicht des Leidens, daß ich euch gebe das Ende, des ihr wartet.
12 And you will go on crying to me and making prayer to me, and I will give ear to you.
12 Vous m'invoquerez, et vous partirez; vous me prierez, et je vous exaucerai.
12 Ansin nuair a ghlaoifidh sibh ormsa, nuair a thiocfaidh sibh chun impí ormsa, éistfidh mé libh.
12 Entonces me invocaréis, é iréis y oraréis á mí, y yo os oiré:
12 Und ihr werdet mich anrufen und hingehen und mich bitten, und ich will euch erhören.
13 And you will be searching for me and I will be there, when you have gone after me with all your heart.
13 Vous me chercherez, et vous me trouverez, si vous me cherchez de tout votre coeur.
13 Nuair a iarrfaidh sibh mé gheobhaidh sibh mé, nuair a iarrfaidh sibh mé le bhur gcroí go hiomlán.
13 Y me buscaréis y hallaréis, porque me buscaréis de todo vuestro corazón.
13 Ihr werdet mich suchen und finden. Denn so ihr mich von ganzem Herzen suchen werdet,
14 I will be near you again, says the Lord, and your fate will be changed, and I will get you together from all the nations and from all the places where I had sent you away, says the Lord; and I will take you back again to the place from which I sent you away prisoners.
14 Je me laisserai trouver par vous, dit l'Éternel, et je ramènerai vos captifs; je vous rassemblerai de toutes les nations et de tous les lieux où je vous ai chassés, dit l'Éternel, et je vous ramènerai dans le lieu d'où je vous ai fait aller en captivité.
14 Beidh mise ar fáil agaibh - an Tiarna a labhraíonn. Tabharfaidh mé ar ais bhur gcuid daoibh, agus cruinneoidh mé sibh as na ciníocha uile agus as gach uile áit ar dhíbir mé sibh, an Tiarna a labhraíonn. Tabharfaidh mé ar ais sibh chun na háite as ar ruaig mé sibh.
14 Y seré hallado de vosotros, dice Jehová, y tornaré vuestra cautividad, y os juntaré de todas las gentes, y de todos los lugares adonde os arrojé, dice Jehová; y os haré volver al lugar de donde os hice ser llevados.
14 so will ich mich von euch finden lassen, spricht der HERR, und will euer Gefängnis wenden und euch sammeln aus allen Völkern und von allen Orten, dahin ich euch verstoßen habe, spricht der HERR, und will euch wiederum an diesen Ort bringen, von dem ich euch habe lassen wegführen.
15 For you have said, The Lord has given us prophets in Babylon.
15 Cependant vous dites: Dieu nous a suscité des prophètes à Babylone!
15 B'fhéidir go n‑abróidh sibh: ‘Thóg an Tiarna fáithe suas dúinn sa Bhablóin’,
15 Mas habéis dicho: Jehová nos ha suscitado profetas en Babilonia.
15 Zwar ihr meint, der HERR habe euch zu Babel Propheten erweckt.
16 For this is what the Lord has said about the king who is seated on the seat of David's kingdom, and about all the people living in this town, your countrymen who have not gone out with you as prisoners;
16 Ainsi parle l'Éternel sur le roi qui occupe le trône de David, sur tout le peuple qui habite cette ville, sur vos frères qui ne sont point allés avec vous en captivité;
16 Óir is mar seo a deir an Tiarna faoin rí a shuíonn anois ar ríchathaoir Dháiví agus faoi na daoine eile a chónaíonn sa chathair seo, bhur ndeartháireacha nach ndeachaigh amach libh i mbraighdeanas.
16 Así empero ha dicho Jehová, del rey que está sentado sobre el trono de David, y de todo el pueblo que mora en esta ciudad, de vuestros hermanos que no salieron con vosotros en cautiverio;
16 Aber also spricht der HERR vom König, der auf Davids Stuhl sitzt, und von euren Brüdern, die nicht mit euch gefangen hinausgezogen sind,
17 This is what the Lord of armies has said: See, I will send on them the sword and need of food and disease, and will make them like bad figs, which are of no use for food, they are so bad.
17 ainsi parle l'Éternel des armées: Voici, j'enverrai parmi eux l'épée, la famine et la peste, et je les rendrai semblables à des figues affreuses qui ne peuvent être mangées à cause de leur mauvaise qualité.
17 Is mar seo a deir Tiarna na Slua: “Tabharfaidh mé anois an claíomh orthu, an gorta agus an phlá; déanfaidh mé cosúil le fígí lofa iad nach féidir a ithe ar a n‑olcas.
17 Así ha dicho Jehová de los ejércitos: He aquí envío yo contra ellos cuchillo, hambre, y pestilencia, y pondrélos como los malos higos, que de malos no se pueden comer.
17 ja, also spricht der HERR Zebaoth: Siehe, ich will Schwert, Hunger und Pestilenz unter sie schicken und will mit ihnen umgehen wie mit den schlechten Feigen, davor einen ekelt zu essen,
18 I will go after them, attacking them with the sword and with need of food and with disease, and will make them a cause of fear to all the kingdoms of the earth, to be a curse and a wonder and a surprise and a name of shame among all the nations where I have sent them:
18 Je les poursuivrai par l'épée, par la famine et par la peste, je les rendrai un objet d'effroi pour tous les royaumes de la terre, un sujet de malédiction, de désolation, de moquerie et d'opprobre, parmi toutes les nations où je les chasserai,
18 Leanfaidh mé iad leis an gclaíomh, leis an ngorta, leis an bplá, agus déanfaidh mé díol uafáis díobh do ríochtaí uile an domhain, ina mallú, ina n‑iontas, ina magadh, ina scige i measc na gciníocha uile inar dhíbir mé iad,
18 Y perseguirélos con espada, con hambre y con pestilencia; y darélos por escarnio á todos los reinos de la tierra, por maldición y por espanto, y por silbo y por afrenta á todas la gentes á las cuales los habré arrojado;
18 und will hinter ihnen her sein mit Schwert, Hunger und Pestilenz und will sie in keinem Königreich auf Erden bleiben lassen, daß sie sollen zum Fluch, zum Wunder, zum Hohn und zum Spott unter allen Völkern werden, dahin ich sie verstoßen werde,
19 Because they have not given ear to my words, says the Lord, when I sent to them my servants the prophets, getting up early and sending them; but you did not give ear, says the Lord.
19 parce qu'ils n'ont pas écouté mes paroles, dit l'Éternel, eux à qui j'ai envoyé mes serviteurs, les prophètes, à qui je les ai envoyés dès le matin; et ils n'ont pas écouté, dit l'Éternel.
19 de bhrí nár éist siad le mo bhriathra - an Tiarna a labhraíonn - bíodh agus gur chuir mé chucu gan scor mo sheirbhísigh, na fáithe. Níorbh áil leo ina dhiaidh sin éisteacht - an Tiarna a labhraíonn.”
19 Porque no oyeron mis palabras, dice Jehová, que les envié por mis siervos los profetas, madrugando en enviarlos; y no habéis escuchado, dice Jehová.
19 darum daß sie meinen Worten nicht gehorchen, spricht der HERR, der ich meine Knechte, die Propheten, zu euch stets gesandt habe; aber ihr wolltet nicht hören, spricht der HERR.
20 And now, give ear to the word of the Lord, all you whom I have sent away prisoners from Jerusalem to Babylon.
20 Mais vous, écoutez la parole de l'Éternel, vous tous, captifs, que j'ai envoyés de Jérusalem à Babylone!
20 Ach, a dheoraithe uile a chuir mé ó Iarúsailéim don Bhablóin, éistigí briathra an Tiarna:
20 Oid pues palabra de Jehová, vosotros todos los trasportados que eché de Jerusalem á Babilonia.
20 Ihr aber alle, die ihr gefangen seid weggeführt, die ich von Jerusalem habe gen Babel ziehen lassen, hört des HERRN Wort!
21 This is what the Lord of armies, the God of Israel, has said about Ahab, the son of Kolaiah, and about Zedekiah, the son of Maaseiah, who are saying to you what is false in my name: See, I will give them up into the hands of Nebuchadrezzar, king of Babylon, and he will put them to death before your eyes.
21 Ainsi parle l'Éternel des armées, le Dieu d'Israël, sur Achab, fils de Kolaja, et sur Sédécias, fils de Maaséja, qui vous prophétisent le mensonge en mon nom: Voici, je les livre entre les mains de Nebucadnetsar, roi de Babylone; et il les fera mourir sous vos yeux.
21 “Is mar seo a deir Tiarna na Slua, Dia Iosrael, i dtaobh Acháb mhic Chóláiá agus Zidicíá mhic Mhásaeiá a thairngríonn bréaga daoibh i m'ainmse: ‘Seachadfaidh mé iad i láimh Nabúcadnazar rí na Bablóine a mharóidh iad os comhair bhur súl.
21 Así ha dicho Jehová de los ejércitos, Dios de Israel, acerca de Achâb hijo de Colías, y acerca de Sedechîas hijo de Maasías, quienes os profetizan en mi nombre falsamente: He aquí los entrego yo en mano de Nabucodonosor rey de Babilonia, y él los herirá delante de vuestro ojos;
21 So spricht der HERR Zebaoth, der Gott Israels, wider Ahab, den Sohn Kolajas, und wider Zedekia, den Sohn Maasejas, die euch falsch weissagen in meinem Namen; Siehe, ich will sie geben in die Hände Nebukadnezars, des Königs zu Babel; der soll sie totschlagen lassen vor euren Augen,
22 And their fate will be used as a curse by all the prisoners of Judah who are in Babylon, who will say, May the Lord make you like Zedekiah and like Ahab, who were burned in the fire by the king of Babylon;
22 On se servira d'eux comme d'un sujet de malédiction, parmi tous les captifs de Juda qui sont à Babylone; on dira: Que l'Éternel te traite comme Sédécias et comme Achab, que le roi de Babylone a fait rôtir au feu!
22 Uathusan an mhallacht seo a bheidh ar bhéala deoraithe uile Iúdá sa Bhablóin: Go ndéana an Tiarna thusa cosúil le Zidicíá agus Acháb a bhruith rí na Bablóine beo beathach.
22 Y todos los trasportados de Judá que están en Babilonia, tomarán de ellos maldición, diciendo: Póngate Jehová como á Sedechîas y como á Achâb, los cuales asó al fuego el rey de Babilonia.
22 daß man wird aus ihnen einen Fluch machen unter allen Gefangenen aus Juda, die zu Babel sind, und sagen: Der HERR tue dir wie Zedekia und Ahab, welche der König zu Babel auf Feuer braten ließ,
23 Because they have done shame in Israel, and have taken their neighbours' wives, and in my name have said false words, which I did not give them orders to say; and I myself am the witness, says the Lord.
23 Et cela arrivera parce qu'ils ont commis une infamie en Israël, se livrant à l'adultère avec les femmes de leur prochain, et parce qu'ils ont dit des mensonges en mon nom, quand je ne leur avais point donné d'ordre. Je le sais, et j'en suis témoin, dit l'Éternel.
23 Sin oidhe an dreama a dhéanann míchlú in Iosrael, ag déanamh adhaltranais le mná a gcomharsana, ag labhairt briathra bréagacha i m'ainmse gan ordú uaimse. Tá a fhios agamsa ina dhiaidh sin; feicim, an Tiarna a labhraíonn.’ ” Cuireann Deoraí in aghaidh Litir Irimia
23 Porque hicieron maldad en Israel, y cometieron adulterio con las mujeres de sus prójimos, y falsamente hablaron en mi nombre palabra que no les mandé; lo cual yo sé, y soy testigo, dice Jehová.
23 darum daß sie eine Torheit in Israel begingen und trieben Ehebruch mit ihrer Nächsten Weibern und predigten falsch in meinem Namen, was ich ihnen nicht befohlen hatte. Solches weiß ich und bezeuge es, spricht der HERR.
24 About Shemaiah the Nehelamite.

24 Y á Semaías de Nehelam hablarás, diciendo:
24 Und wider Semaja von Nehalam sollst du sagen:
25 Shemaiah the Nehelamite sent a letter in his name to Zephaniah, the son of Maaseiah the priest, saying,
25 Ainsi parle l'Éternel des armées, le Dieu d'Israël: Tu as envoyé en ton nom à tout le peuple de Jérusalem, à Sophonie, fils de Maaséja, le sacrificateur, et à tous les sacrificateurs, une lettre ainsi conçue:
25 chuig an bpobal uile in Iarúsailéim, an sagart Zafainiá mac Mhásaeiá agus chuig na sagairt uile á rá:
25 Así habló Jehová de los ejércitos, Dios de Israel, diciendo: Por cuanto enviaste letras en tu nombre á todo el pueblo que está en Jerusalem, y á Sophonías sacerdote hijo de Maasías, y á todos los sacerdotes, diciendo:
25 So spricht der HERR Zebaoth, der Gott Israels: Darum daß du unter deinem Namen hast Briefe gesandt an alles Volk, das zu Jerusalem ist, und an den Priester Zephanja, den Sohn Maasejas, und an alle Priester und gesagt:
26 The Lord has made you priest in place of Jehoiada the priest, to be an overseer in the house of the Lord for every man who is off his head and is acting as a prophet, to put such men in prison and in chains.
26 L'Éternel t'a établi sacrificateur à la place de Jehojada, le sacrificateur, afin qu'il y ait dans la maison de l'Éternel des inspecteurs pour surveiller tout homme qui est fou et se donne pour prophète, et afin que tu le mettes en prison et dans les fers.
26 “Rinne an Tiarna sagart díotsa mar chomharba Iahoideá chun riail a choinneáil i dTeampall an Tiarna; i gcás an duine atá ar mire agus a dhéanann fáidh de féin is é do dhualgas é siúd a chur sna ceapa agus i gcoiléar iarainn.
26 Jehová te ha puesto por sacerdote en lugar de Joiada sacerdote, para que presidáis en la casa de Jehová sobre todo hombre furioso y profetizante, poniéndolo en el calabozo y en el cepo.
26 Der HERR hat dich zum Priester gesetzt anstatt des Priesters Jojada, daß ihr sollt Aufseher sein im Hause des HERRN über alle Wahnsinnigen und Weissager, daß du sie in den Kerker und Stock legst.
27 So why have you made no protest against Jeremiah of Anathoth, who is acting as a prophet to you?
27 Maintenant, pourquoi ne réprimes-tu pas Jérémie d'Anathoth, qui prophétise parmi vous,
27 Ós amhlaidh atá, cad chuige nár smachtaigh tú Irimia ó Anatót a dhéanann fáidh de féin daoibhse?
27 ¿Por qué pues no has ahora reprendido á Jeremías de Anathoth, que os profetiza falsamente?
27 Nun, warum strafst du denn nicht Jeremia von Anathoth, der euch weissagt?
28 For he has sent to us in Babylon saying, The time will be long: go on building houses and living in them, and planting gardens and using the fruit of them.
