1 When Jehoiakim, the son of Josiah, king of Judah, first became king, this word came from the Lord, saying,
1 Au commencement du règne de Jojakim, fils de Josias, roi de Juda, cette parole fut prononcée de la part de l'Éternel, en ces mots:
1 I dtosach réim Iahóiácaím mhic Iósíá, rí Iúdá, tháinig an briathar seo [go Irimia] ón Tiarna:
1 EN el principio del reinado de Joacim hijo de Josías, rey de Judá, fué esta palabra de Jehová, diciendo:
1 Im Anfang des Königreichs Jojakims, des Sohnes Josias, des Königs in Juda, geschah dies Wort vom HERRN und sprach:
2 This is what the Lord has said: Take your place in the open square of the Lord's house and say to all the towns of Judah, who come into the Lord's house for worship, everything I give you orders to say to them: keep back not a word;
2 Ainsi parle l'Éternel: Tiens-toi dans le parvis de la maison de l'Éternel, et dis à ceux qui de toutes les villes de Juda viennent se prosterner dans la maison de l'Éternel toutes les paroles que je t'ordonne de leur dire; n'en retranche pas un mot.
2 “Seo mar a deir an Tiarna: ‘Seas i gcúirt Theampall an Tiarna. Le muintir uile chathracha Iúdá a thagann go Teampall an Tiarna a adhradh, abair na briathra uile a d'ordaigh mise duit a labhairt leo; ná fág siolla ar lár.
2 Así ha dicho Jehová: Ponte en el atrio de la casa de Jehová, y habla á todas las ciudades de Judá, que vienen para adorar en la casa de Jehová, todas las palabras que yo te mandé les hablases; no retengas palabra.
2 So spricht der HERR: Tritt in den Vorhof am Hause des HERRN und predige allen Städten Juda's, die da hereingehen, anzubeten im Hause des HERRN, alle Worte, die ich dir befohlen habe ihnen zu sagen, und tue nichts davon;
3 It may be that they will give ear, and that every man will be turned from his evil way, so that my purpose of sending evil on them because of the evil of their doings may be changed.
3 Peut-être écouteront-ils, et reviendront-ils chacun de leur mauvaise voie; alors je me repentirai du mal que j'avais pensé leur faire à cause de la méchanceté de leurs actions.
3 B'fhéidir go n‑éistfidh siad agus go bhfillfidh gach aon duine óna dhrochshlí; má fhilleann, tiocfaidh aithreachas ormsa faoin olc atá ar intinn agam a dhéanamh orthu mar gheall ar a míghníomhartha.
3 Quizá oirán, y se tornarán cada uno de su mal camino; y arrepentiréme yo del mal que pienso hacerles por la maldad de sus obras.
3 ob sie vielleicht hören wollen und sich bekehren, ein jeglicher von seinem bösen Wesen, damit mich auch reuen möchte das Übel, das ich gedenke ihnen zu tun um ihres bösen Wandels willen.
4 And you are to say to them, This is what the Lord has said: If you do not give ear to me and go in the way of my law which I have put before you,
4 Tu leur diras: Ainsi parle l'Éternel: Si vous ne m'écoutez pas quand je vous ordonne de suivre ma loi que j'ai mise devant vous,
4 Abair leo: Seo mar a deir an Tiarna: Mura n‑éisteann sibh liomsa trí mo dhlí a chuir mé romhaibh a chomhlíonadh,
4 Les dirás pues: Así ha dicho Jehová: Si no me oyereis para andar en mi ley, la cual dí delante de vosotros,
4 Und sprich zu ihnen: So spricht der HERR: Werdet ihr mir nicht gehorchen, daß ihr nach meinem Gesetz wandelt, das ich euch vorgelegt habe,
5 And give ear to the words of my servants the prophets whom I send to you, getting up early and sending them, though you gave no attention;
5 d'écouter les paroles de mes serviteurs, les prophètes, que je vous envoie, que je vous ai envoyés dès le matin, et que vous n'avez pas écoutés,
5 trí aird a thabhairt ar bhriathra mo sheirbhíseach, na fáithe, a sheolaim chugaibh gan scor agus nár éist sibh leo,
5 Para atender á las palabras de mis siervos los profetas que yo os envío, madrugando en enviarlos, á los cuales no habéis oído;
5 daß ihr hört auf die Worte meiner Knechte, der Propheten, welche ich stets zu euch gesandt habe, und ihr doch nicht hören wolltet:
6 Then I will make this house like Shiloh, and will make this town a curse to all the nations of the earth.
6 alors je traiterai cette maison comme Silo, et je ferai de cette ville un objet de malédiction pour toutes les nations de la terre.
6 déanfaidh mise an Teampall seo cosúil le Sileo, agus déanfaidh mé an chathair seo ina mallacht do chiníocha uile an domhain.’ ”
6 Yo pondré esta casa como Silo, y daré esta ciudad en maldición á todas las gentes de la tierra.
6 so will ich's mit diesem Hause machen wie mit Silo und diese Stadt zum Fluch allen Heiden auf Erden machen.
7 And in the hearing of the priests and the prophets and all the people, Jeremiah said these words in the house of the Lord.
7 Les sacrificateurs, les prophètes, et tout le peuple, entendirent Jérémie prononcer ces paroles dans la maison de l'Éternel.
7 Chuala na sagairt agus na fáithe agus an pobal uile Irimia ag rá na mbriathar sin i dTeampall an Tiarna.
7 Y los sacerdotes, los profetas, y todo el pueblo, oyeron á Jeremías hablar estas palabras en la casa de Jehová.
7 Da nun die Priester, Propheten und alles Volk hörten Jeremia, daß er solche Worte redete im Hause des HERRN,
8 Now, when Jeremiah had come to the end of saying everything the Lord had given him orders to say to all the people, the priests and the prophets and all the people took him by force, saying, Death will certainly be your fate.
8 Et comme Jérémie achevait de dire tout ce que l'Éternel lui avait ordonné de dire à tout le peuple, les sacrificateurs, les prophètes, et tout le peuple, se saisirent de lui, en disant: Tu mourras!
8 Nuair a bhí gach rud ráite ag Irimia a d'ordaigh an Tiarna dó a rá leis an bpobal uile, rug na sagairt agus na fáithe air agus dúirt siad: “Go deimhin cuirfear chun báis thú.
8 Y fué que, acabando de hablar Jeremías todo lo que Jehová le había mandado que hablase á todo el pueblo, los sacerdotes y los profetas y todo el pueblo le echaron mano, diciendo: De cierto morirás.
8 und Jeremia nun ausgeredet hatte alles, was ihm der HERR befohlen hatte, allem Volk zu sagen, griffen ihn die Priester, Propheten und das ganze Volk und sprachen: Du mußt sterben!
9 Why have you said in the name of the Lord, This house will be like Shiloh, and this land a waste with no one living in it? And all the people had come together to Jeremiah in the house of the Lord.
9 Pourquoi prophétises-tu au nom de l'Éternel, en disant: Cette maison sera comme Silo, et cette ville sera dévastée, privée d'habitants? Tout le peuple s'attroupa autour de Jérémie dans la maison de l'Éternel.
9 Cad chuige ar thairngir tú in ainm an Tiarna á rá: ‘Beidh an Teampall seo cosúil le Sileo, agus beidh an chathair seo uaigneach agus gan áitreabhach’?” Agus bhí an pobal uile ag plódú thart ar Irimia i dTeampall an Tiarna.
9 ¿Por qué has profetizado en nombre de Jehová, diciendo: Esta casa será como Silo, y esta ciudad será asolada hasta no quedar morador? Y juntóse todo el pueblo contra Jeremías en la casa de Jehová.
9 Warum weissagst du im Namen des HERRN und sagst: Es wird diesem Hause gehen wie Silo, daß niemand mehr darin wohne? Und das ganze Volk sammelte sich im Hause des HERRN wider Jeremia.
10 And the rulers of Judah, hearing of these things, came up from the king's house to the house of the Lord, and took their seats by the new door of the Lord's house.
10 Lorsque les chefs de Juda eurent appris ces choses, ils montèrent de la maison du roi à la maison de l'Éternel, et s'assirent à l'entrée de la porte neuve de la maison de l'Éternel.
10 Nuair a chuala feidhmeannaigh Iúdá é seo tháinig siad aníos ó phálás an rí go dtí Teampall an Tiarna agus shuigh síos i mbéal Gheata Nua Theampall an Tiarna.
10 Y los príncipes de Judá oyeron estas cosas, y subieron de casa del rey á la casa de Jehová; y sentáronse en la entrada de la puerta nueva de Jehová.
10 Da solches hörten die Fürsten Juda's gingen sie aus des Königs Hause hinauf ins Haus des HERRN und setzten sich vor das neue Tor des HERRN.
11 Then the priests and the prophets said to the rulers and to all the people, The right fate for this man is death; for he has said words against this town in your hearing.
11 Alors les sacrificateurs et les prophètes parlèrent ainsi aux chefs et à tout le peuple: Cet homme mérite la mort; car il a prophétisé contre cette ville, comme vous l'avez entendu de vos oreilles.
11 Ansin labhair na sagairt agus na fáithe leis na feidhmeannaigh agus leis an bpobal uile: “Tá breithiúnas báis tuillte ag an bhfear seo, óir thairngir sé in aghaidh na cathrach seo mar a chuala sibh le bhur gcluasa féin.”
11 Entonces hablaron los sacerdotes y los profetas á los príncipes y á todo el pueblo, diciendo: En pena de muerte ha incurrido este hombre; porque profetizó contra esta ciudad, como vosotros habéis oído con vuestros oídos.
11 Und die Priester und Propheten sprachen vor den Fürsten und allem Volk: Dieser ist des Todes schuldig; denn er hat geweissagt wider diese Stadt, wie ihr mit euren Ohren gehört habt.
12 Then Jeremiah said to all the rulers and to all the people, The Lord has sent me as his prophet to say against this house and against this town all the words which have come to your ears.
12 Jérémie dit à tous les chefs et à tout le peuple: L'Éternel m'a envoyé pour prophétiser contre cette maison et contre cette ville, toutes les choses que vous avez entendues.
12 Ach thug Irimia freagra ar na feidhmeannaigh agus ar an bpobal uile mar seo: “Chuir an Tiarna féin mise a fháidheoireacht na mbriathra uile a chuala sibh in aghaidh an Teampaill seo agus in aghaidh na cathrach seo.
12 Y habló Jeremías á todos los príncipes y á todo el pueblo, diciendo: Jehová me envió á que profetizase contra esta casa y contra esta ciudad, todas las palabras que habéis oído.
12 Aber Jeremia sprach zu allen Fürsten und zu allem Volk: Der HERR hat mich gesandt, daß ich solches alles, was ihr gehört habt, sollte weissagen wider dies Haus und wider diese Stadt.
13 So now, make a change for the better in your ways and your doings, and give ear to the voice of the Lord your God; then the Lord will let himself be turned from the decision he has made against you for evil.
13 Maintenant réformez vos voies et vos oeuvres, écoutez la voix de l'Éternel, votre Dieu, et l'Éternel se repentira du mal qu'il a prononcé contre vous.
13 Mar sin leasaigí bhur n‑iompar agus bhur ngníomhartha; umhlaígí do ghuth an Tiarna bhur nDia; má dhéanann sibh sin, beidh aithreachas air agus, an t‑olc a d'fhógair sé in bhur n‑aghaidh, ní dhéanfaidh sé é.
13 Y ahora, mejorad vuestros caminos y vuestras obras, y oid la voz de Jehová vuestro Dios, y arrepentiráse Jehová del mal que ha hablado contra vosotros.
13 So bessert nun euer Wesen und Wandel und gehorcht der Stimme des HERRN, eures Gottes, so wird den HERRN auch gereuen das Übel, das er wider euch geredet hat.
14 As for me, here I am in your hands: do with me whatever seems good and right in your opinion.
14 Pour moi, me voici entre vos mains; traitez-moi comme il vous semblera bon et juste.
14 Maidir liomsa, féach, táim in bhur lámha. Déanaigí liom mar is maith agus is cóir libh.
14 En lo que á mí toca, he aquí estoy en vuestras manos: haced de mí como mejor y más recto os pareciere.
14 Siehe, ich bin in euren Händen; ihr mögt es machen mit mir, wie es euch recht und gut dünkt.
15 Only be certain that, if you put me to death, you will make yourselves and your town and its people responsible for the blood of one who has done no wrong: for truly, the Lord has sent me to you to say all these words in your ears.
15 Seulement sachez que, si vous me faites mourir, vous vous chargez du sang innocent, vous, cette ville et ses habitants; car l'Éternel m'a véritablement envoyé vers vous pour prononcer à vos oreilles toutes ces paroles.
15 Ach bíodh a fhios agaibh seo go dearfa, má chuireann sibh chun báis mé, go dtabharfaidh sibh go deimhin fuil neamhchiontach oraibh féin, ar an gcathair seo agus ar a muintir, óir go fírinneach sheol an Tiarna mise chugaibh a labhairt na mbriathra seo uile in bhur gcluasa.”
15 Mas sabed de cierto que, si me matareis, sangre inocente echaréis sobre vosotros, y sobre esta ciudad, y sobre sus moradores: porque en verdad Jehová me envió á vosotros para que dijese todas estas palabras en vuestros oídos.
15 Doch sollt ihr wissen: wo ihr mich tötet, so werdet ihr unschuldig Blut laden auf euch selbst, auf diese Stadt und ihre Einwohner. Denn wahrlich, der HERR hat mich zu euch gesandt, daß ich solches alles vor euren Ohren reden soll.
16 Then the rulers and all the people said to the priests and the prophets, It is not right for this man to be put to death: for he has said words to us in the name of the Lord our God.
16 Les chefs et tout le peuple dirent aux sacrificateurs et aux prophètes: Cet homme ne mérite point la mort; car c'est au nom de l'Éternel, notre Dieu, qu'il nous a parlé.
16 Ansin dúirt na feidhmeannaigh agus an pobal uile leis na sagairt agus na fáithe: “Ní cóir an fear seo a chur chun báis, óir labhair sé linn in ainm an Tiarna, ár nDia.”
16 Y dijeron los príncipes y todo el pueblo á los sacerdotes y profetas. No ha incurrido este hombre en pena de muerte, porque en nombre de Jehová nuestro Dios nos ha hablado.
16 Da sprachen die Fürsten und das ganze Volk zu den Priestern und Propheten: Dieser ist des Todes nicht schuldig; denn er hat zu uns geredet im Namen des HERRN, unsers Gottes.
17 Then some of the responsible men of the land got up and said to all the meeting of the people,
17 Et quelques-uns des anciens du pays se levèrent, et dirent à toute l'assemblée du peuple:
17 D'éirigh roinnt de sheanóirí na tíre ina seasamh agus labhair siad le hoireachtas uile an phobail.
17 Entonces se levantaron ciertos de los ancianos de la tierra, y hablaron á toda la junta del pueblo, diciendo:
17 Und es standen etliche der Ältesten im Lande und sprachen zum ganzen Haufen des Volks:
18 Micah the Morashtite, who was a prophet in the days of Hezekiah, king of Judah, said to all the people of Judah, This is what the Lord of armies has said: Zion will become like a ploughed field, and Jerusalem will become a mass of broken walls, and the mountain of the house like the high places of the woodland.
18 Michée, de Moréscheth, prophétisait du temps d'Ézéchias, roi de Juda, et il disait à tout le peuple de Juda: Ainsi parle l'Éternel des armées: Sion sera labourée comme un champ, Jérusalem deviendra un monceau de pierres, Et la montagne de la maison une haute forêt.
18 “Thairngir Míocá an Móirisiteach i laethanta Hiziciá rí Iúdá,” a dúirt siad, “agus ba é a dúirt sé le muintir uile Iúdá: ‘Mar seo a deir an Tiarna: Déanfar fearann treafa de Shíón, agus carnán bruscair de Iarúsailéim, beidh cnoc an Teampaill ina ardán coillteach.’
18 Miqueas de Morasti profetizó en tiempo de Ezechîas rey de Judá, diciendo: Así ha dicho Jehová de los ejércitos: Sión será arada como campo, y Jerusalem vendrá á ser montones, y el monte del templo en cumbres de bosque.
18 Zur Zeit Hiskias, des Königs in Juda, war ein Prophet, Micha von Moreseth, und sprach zum ganzen Volk Juda: So spricht der HERR Zebaoth: Zion wird wie ein Acker gepflügt werden, und Jerusalem wird zum Steinhaufen werden und der Berg des Tempels zu einer wilden Höhe.
19 Did Hezekiah and all Judah put him to death? did he not in the fear of the Lord make prayer for the grace of the Lord, and the Lord let himself be turned from the decision he had made against them for evil? By this act we might do great evil against ourselves.
19 Ézéchias, roi de Juda, et tout Juda l'ont-ils fait mourir? Ézéchias ne craignit-il pas l'Éternel? N'implora-t-il pas l'Éternel? Alors l'Éternel se repentit du mal qu'il avait prononcé contre eux. Et nous, nous chargerions notre âme d'un si grand crime!
19 “Ar chuir Hiziciá rí Iúdá agus pobal uile Iúdá chun báis é mar gheall air sin? Nár mhó, agus eagla roimh an Tiarna orthu, a d'iarr siad fabhar air go mb'aithreach leis an t‑olc a bhí fógraithe aige ina n‑aghaidh? An gcuirfimidne anois an choir seo mar ualach ar ár n‑anamacha?”
19 ¿Matáronlo luego Ezechîas rey de Judá y todo Judá? ¿no temió á Jehová, y oró en presencia de Jehová, y Jehová se arrepintió del mal que había hablado contra ellos? ¿Haremos pues nosotros tan grande mal contra nuestras almas?
19 Doch ließ ihn Hiskia, der König Juda's und das ganze Juda darum nicht töten; ja sie fürchteten vielmehr den HERRN und beteten vor dem HERRN. Da reute auch den HERRN das Übel, das er wider sie geredet hatte. Darum täten wir sehr übel wider unsre Seelen.
20 And there was another man who was a prophet of the Lord, Uriah, the son of Shemaiah of Kiriath-jearim; he said against this town and against this land all the words which Jeremiah had said:
20 Il y eut aussi un homme qui prophétisait au nom de l'Éternel, Urie, fils de Schemaeja, de Kirjath Jearim. Il prophétisa contre cette ville et contre ce pays entièrement les mêmes choses que Jérémie.
20 Bhí fear eile ann freisin a thairngir in ainm an Tiarna, Úiríá mac Sheamaiá, ó Chiriat Iáraím. Thairngir seisean in aghaidh na cathrach seo agus in aghaidh na tíre seo na nithe céanna díreach agus a thairngir Irimia.
20 Hubo también un hombre que profetizaba en nombre de Jehová, Urías, hijo de Semaías de Chîriath-jearim, el cual profetizó contra esta ciudad y contra esta tierra, conforme á todas las palabras de Jeremías:
20 So war auch einer, der im Namen des HERRN weissagte, Uria, der Sohn Semajas, von Kirjath-Jearim. Derselbe weissagte wider diese Stadt und wider das Land gleichwie Jeremia.
21 And when his words came to the ears of Jehoiakim the king and all his men of war and his captains, the king would have put him to death; but Uriah, hearing of it, was full of fear and went in flight into Egypt:
21 Le roi Jojakim, tous ses vaillants hommes, et tous ses chefs, entendirent ses paroles, et le roi chercha à le faire mourir. Urie, qui en fut informé, eut peur, prit la fuite, et alla en Égypte.
21 Nuair a chuala Iahóiácaím an rí, mar aon lena airí agus a fheidhmeannaigh uile, a bhriathra, theastaigh uaidh é a chur chun báis. Nuair a chuala Úiríá é sin tháinig eagla air agus theith sé don Éigipt.
21 Y oyó sus palabras el rey Joacim, y todos sus grandes, y todos sus príncipes, y el rey procuró de matarle; lo cual entendiendo Urías, tuvo temor, y huyó, y metióse en Egipto:
21 Da aber der König Jojakim und alle seine Gewaltigen und die Fürsten seine Worte hörten, wollte ihn der König töten lassen. Und Uria erfuhr das, fürchtete sich und floh und zog nach Ägypten.
22 And Jehoiakim the king sent Elnathan, the son of Achbor, and certain men with him, into Egypt.
22 Le roi Jojakim envoya des gens en Égypte, Elnathan, fils d'Acbor, et des gens avec lui en Égypte.
22 Ach chuir Iahóiácaím an rí, Ealnátán mac Acbór agus daoine eile leis don Éigipt.
22 Y el rey Joacim envió hombres á Egipto, á Elnathán hijo de Acbor, y otros hombres con él, á Egipto;
22 Aber der König Jojakim schickte Leute nach Ägypten, Elnathan, den Sohn Achbors, und andere mit ihm;
23 And they took Uriah out of Egypt and came back with him to Jehoiakim the king; who put him to death with the sword, and had his dead body put into the resting-place of the bodies of the common people.
23 Ils firent sortir d'Égypte Urie et l'amenèrent au roi Jojakim, qui le fit mourir par l'épée et jeta son cadavre sur les sépulcres des enfants du peuple.
23 Thug siad Úiríá amach as an Éigipt agus rug siad go Iahóiácaím an rí é; mharaigh seisean leis an gclaíomh é agus theilg a chorpán isteach i reilig na ndaoine coitianta.
23 Los cuales sacaron á Urías de Egipto, y lo trajeron al rey Joacim, é hiriólo á cuchillo, y echó su cuerpo en los sepulcros del vulgo.
23 die führten ihn aus Ägypten und brachten ihn zum König Jojakim; der ließ ihn mit dem Schwert töten und ließ seinen Leichnam unter dem gemeinen Pöbel begraben.
24 But Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, gave Jeremiah his help, so that he was not given into the hands of the people to be put to death.
24 Cependant la main d'Achikam, fils de Schaphan, fut avec Jérémie, et empêcha qu'il ne fût livré au peuple pour être mis à mort.
