1 Go quickly through the streets of Jerusalem, and see now, and get knowledge, and make a search in her wide places if there is a man, if there is one in her who is upright, who keeps faith; and she will have my forgiveness.

1 DISCURRID por las plazas de Jerusalem, y mirad ahora, y sabed, y buscad en sus plazas si halláis hombre, si hay alguno que haga juicio, que busque verdad; y yo la perdonaré.
1 Gehet durch die Gassen zu Jerusalem und schauet und erfahret und suchet auf ihrer Straße, ob ihr jemand findet, der recht tue und nach dem Glauben frage, so will ich dir gnädig sein.
2 And though they say, By the living Lord; truly their oaths are false.
2 Même quand ils disent: L'Éternel est vivant! C'est faussement qu'ils jurent.
2 Ach bíodh go n‑abrann siad: “Go maire an Tiarna,” ina dhiaidh sin mionnaíonn siad go bréagach.
2 Y si dijeren: Vive Jehová; por tanto jurarán mentira.
2 Und wenn sie schon sprechen: "Bei dem lebendigen Gott!", so schwören sie doch falsch.
3 O Lord, do not your eyes see good faith? you have given them punishment, but they were not troubled; you have sent destruction on them, but they did not take your teaching to heart: they have made their faces harder than a rock; they would not come back.
3 Éternel, tes yeux n'aperçoivent-ils pas la vérité? Tu les frappes, et ils ne sentent rien; Tu les consumes, et ils ne veulent pas recevoir instruction; Ils prennent un visage plus dur que le roc, Ils refusent de se convertir.
3 A Thiarna, nach é mian do shúl an fhírinne? Bhuail tú iad, ach ní raibh doilíos orthu. Bhasc tú iad, ach níor ghlac siad ceartú. Rinne siad a n‑aighthe níos crua ná carraig. Dhiúltaigh siad aithrí a dhéanamh.
3 Oh Jehová, ¿no miran tus ojos á la verdad? Azotástelos, y no les dolió; consumístelos, y no quisieron recibir corrección; endurecieron sus rostros más que la piedra, no quisieron tornarse.

5 I will go to the great men and have talk with them; for they have knowledge of the way of the Lord and of the behaviour desired by their God. But as for these, their one purpose is a broken yoke and burst bands.
5 J'irai vers les grands, et je leur parlerai; Car eux, ils connaissent la voie de l'Éternel, La loi de leur Dieu; Mais ils ont tous aussi brisé le joug, Rompu les liens.
5 Rachaidh mé go dtí na daoine a bhfuil an chumhacht acu agus labharfaidh mé leo, óir beidh a fhios acu sin slí an Tiarna agus reacht a nDé.” Ach bhí an chuing briste, na cuibhreacha réabtha acu siúd freisin.
5 Irme he á los grandes, y hablaréles; porque ellos conocen el camino de Jehová, el juicio de su Dios. Ciertamente ellos también quebraron el yugo, rompieron las coyundas.
5 Ich will zu den Gewaltigen gehen und mit ihnen reden; die werden um des HERRN Weg und ihres Gottes Recht wissen. Aber sie allesamt hatten das Joch zerbrochen und die Seile zerrissen.
6 And so a lion from the woods will put them to death, a wolf of the waste land will make them waste, a leopard will keep watch on their towns, and everyone who goes out from them will be food for the beasts; because of the great number of their sins and the increase of their wrongdoing.
6 C'est pourquoi le lion de la forêt les tue, Le loup du désert les détruit, La panthère est aux aguets devant leurs villes; Tous ceux qui en sortiront seront déchirés; Car leurs transgressions sont nombreuses, Leurs infidélités se sont multipliées.

6 Por tanto, león del monte los herirá, destruirálos lobo del desierto, tigre acechará sobre sus ciudades; cualquiera que de ellas saliere, será arrebatado: porque sus rebeliones se han multiplicado, hanse aumentado sus deslealtades.
6 Darum wird sie auch der Löwe, der aus dem Walde kommt, zerreißen, und der Wolf aus der Wüste wird sie verderben, und der Parder wird um ihre Städte lauern; alle, die daselbst herausgehen, wird er fressen. Denn ihrer Sünden sind zuviel, und sie bleiben verstockt in ihrem Ungehorsam.
7 How is it possible for you to have my forgiveness for this? your children have given me up, taking their oaths by those who are no gods: when I had given them food in full measure, they were false to their wives, taking their pleasure in the houses of loose women.
7 Pourquoi te pardonnerais-je? Tes enfants m'ont abandonné, Et ils jurent par des dieux qui n'existent pas. J'ai reçu leurs serments, et ils se livrent à l'adultère, Ils sont en foule dans la maison de la prostituée.

8 They were full of desire, like horses after a meal of grain: everyone went after his neighbour's wife.

10 Go up against her vines and make waste; let the destruction be complete: take away her branches, for they are not the Lord's.
10 Montez sur ses murailles, et abattez, Mais ne détruisez pas entièrement! Enlevez ses ceps Qui n'appartiennent point à l'Éternel!

10 Escalad sus muros, y destruid; mas no hagáis consumación: quitad las almenas de sus muros, porque no son de Jehová.

11 For the people of Israel and the people of Judah have been very false to me, says the Lord.

14 For this reason the Lord, the God of armies, has said: Because you have said this, I will make my words in your mouth a fire, and this people wood, and they will be burned up by it.
14 C'est pourquoi ainsi parle l'Éternel, le Dieu des armées: Parce que vous avez dit cela, Voici, je veux que ma parole dans ta bouche soit du feu, Et ce peuple du bois, et que ce feu les consume.

14 Darum spricht der HERR, der Gott Zebaoth: Weil ihr solche Rede treibt, siehe, so will ich meine Worte in deinem Munde zu Feuer machen, und dies Volk zu Holz, und es soll sie verzehren.
15 See, I will send you a nation from far away, O people of Israel, says the Lord; a strong nation and an old nation, a nation whose language is strange to you, so that you may not get the sense of their words.
15 Voici, je fais venir de loin une nation contre vous, maison d'Israël, Dit l'Éternel; C'est une nation forte, c'est une nation ancienne, Une nation dont tu ne connais pas la langue, Et dont tu ne comprendras point les paroles.
15 Tabharfaidh mé anois oraibh uile, cine ón imigéin a theach Iosrael - is é an Tiarna a labhraíonn - is náisiún dochloíte é, náisiún seanda, náisiún nach aithnid duitse a theanga, ní thuigeann tú focal a deir siad.
15 He aquí yo traigo sobre vosotros gente de lejos, oh casa de Israel, dice Jehová; gente robusta, gente antigua, gente cuya lengua ignorarás, y no entenderás lo que hablare.
15 Siehe, ich will über euch vom Hause Israel, spricht der HERR, ein Volk von ferne bringen, ein mächtiges Volk, dessen Sprache du nicht verstehst, und kannst nicht vernehmen, was sie reden.
16 Their arrows give certain death, they are all men of war.

17 Elle dévorera ta moisson et ton pain, Elle dévorera tes fils et tes filles, Elle dévorera tes brebis et tes boeufs, Elle dévorera ta vigne et ton figuier; Elle détruira par l'épée tes villes fortes dans lesquelles tu te confies.

17 Y comerá tu mies y tu pan, que habían de comer tus hijos y tus hijas; comerá tus ovejas y tus vacas, comerá tus viñas y tus higueras; y tus ciudades fuertes en que tú confías, tornará en nada á cuchillo.
17 Sie werden deine Ernte und dein Brot verzehren; sie werde deine Söhne und Töchter fressen; sie werden deine Schafe und Rinder verschlingen; sie werden deine Weinstöcke und Feigenbäume verzehren; deine festen Städte, darauf du dich verläßt, werden sie mit dem Schwert verderben.
18 But even in those days, says the Lord, I will not let your destruction be complete.

19 Si vous dites alors: Pourquoi l'Éternel, notre Dieu, nous fait-il tout cela? Tu leur répondras: Comme vous m'avez abandonné, Et que vous avez servi des dieux étrangers dans votre pays, Ainsi vous servirez des étrangers dans un pays qui n'est pas le vôtre.
19 Agus nuair a déarfaidh siad: ‘Cad chuige a ndearna an Tiarna, ár nDia, na nithe seo linn?’ freagróidh tusa mar seo iad: ‘Faoi mar a thréig sibhse mise agus a rinne sibh fónamh do dhéithe iasachta ar bhur dtailte féin, mar an gcéanna caithfidh sibh fónamh do dhaoine iasachta i ndúiche nach libh féin.’ ” Gorta
19 Y será que cuando dijereis: ¿Por qué hizo Jehová el Dios nuestro con nosotros todas estas cosas? entonces les dirás: De la manera que me dejasteis á mí, y servisteis á dioses ajenos en vuestra tierra así serviréis á extraños en tierra ajena.
19 Und ob sie würden sagen: "Warum tut uns der HERR, unser Gott, solches alles?", sollst du ihnen antworten: Wie ihr mich verlaßt und den fremden Göttern dient in eurem eigenen Lande, also sollt ihr auch Fremden dienen in einem Lande, das nicht euer ist.
20 Say this openly in Jacob and give it out in Judah, saying,
20 Annoncez ceci à la maison de Jacob, Publiez-le en Juda, et dites:

20 Solches sollt ihr verkündigen im Hause Jakob und predigen in Juda und sprechen:
21 Give ear now to this, O foolish people without sense; who have eyes but see nothing, and ears without the power of hearing:
21 Écoutez ceci, peuple insensé, et qui n'a point de coeur! Ils ont des yeux et ne voient point, Ils ont des oreilles et n'entendent point.

22 Have you no fear of me? says the Lord; will you not be shaking with fear before me, who have put the sand as a limit for the sea, by an eternal order, so that it may not go past it? and though it is ever in motion, it is not able to have its way; though the sound of its waves is loud, they are not able to go past it.
22 Ne me craindrez-vous pas, dit l'Éternel, Ne tremblerez-vous pas devant moi? C'est moi qui ai donné à la mer le sable pour limite, Limite éternelle qu'elle ne doit pas franchir; Ses flots s'agitent, mais ils sont impuissants; Ils mugissent, mais ils ne la franchissent pas.
22 Nach bhfuil aon eagla oraibh romhamsa? - an Tiarna a labhraíonn - An é nach gcreathnóidh sibh i mo láthairse, mise a chuir an gaineamh ina theorainn don fharraige, ina chlaí buan nach bhfuil aon dul thairis; tiomáineann na tonnta ach ní bheireann bua, tonngháireann siad, níl dul thairis acu.
22 ¿A mí no temeréis? dice Jehová; ¿no os amedrentaréis á mi presencia, que al mar por ordenación eterna, la cual no quebrantará, puse arena por término? Se levantarán tempestades, mas no prevalecerán; bramarán sus ondas, mas no lo pasarán.
22 Wollt ihr mich nicht fürchten? spricht der HERR, und vor mir nicht erschrecken, der ich dem Meer den Sand zum Ufer setzte, darin es allezeit bleiben muß, darüber es nicht gehen darf? Und ob's schon wallet, so vermag's doch nichts; und ob seine Wellen schon toben, so dürfen sie doch nicht darüberfahren.
23 But the heart of this people is uncontrolled and turned away from me; they are broken loose and gone.
23 Ce peuple a un coeur indocile et rebelle; Ils se révoltent, et s'en vont.
23 Ach tá croí ainrianta, easumhal ag an bpobal seo; d'éirigh siad amach - is maith chuige sin iad!
23 Empero este pueblo tiene corazón falso y rebelde; tornáronse y fuéronse.
23 Aber dies Volk hat ein abtrünniges, ungehorsames Herz; sie bleiben abtrünnig und gehen immerfort weg
24 And they do not say in their hearts, Now let us give worship to our God, who gives the rain, the winter and the spring rain, at the right time; who keeps for us the ordered weeks of the grain-cutting.
24 Ils ne disent pas dans leur coeur: Craignons l'Éternel, notre Dieu, Qui donne la pluie en son temps, La pluie de la première et de l'arrière saison, Et qui nous réserve les semaines destinées à la moisson.
24 Ní dúirt siad ina gcroí: ‘Seo anois, bíodh eagla an Tiarna, ár nDia orainn; tugann sé fearthainn go luath, agus go déanach gach bliain go tráthúil, coimeádann dúinn seachtainí cinnte an fhómhair.’
24 Y no dijeron en su corazón: Temamos ahora á Jehová Dios nuestro, que da lluvia temprana y tardía en su tiempo; los tiempos establecidos de la siega nos guarda.
24 und sprechen nicht einmal in ihrem Herzen: Laßt uns doch den HERRN, unsern Gott, fürchten, der uns Frühregen und Spätregen zu rechter Zeit gibt und uns die Ernte treulich und jährlich behütet.
25 Through your evil-doing these things have been turned away, and your sins have kept back good from you.
25 C'est à cause de vos iniquités que ces dispensations n'ont pas lieu, Ce sont vos péchés qui vous privent de ces biens.
25 Thóg bhur gcionta nithe maithe uaibh, ghiorraigh bhur bpeacaí na fabhair seo.
25 Vuestras iniquidades han estorbado estas cosas; y vuestros pecados apartaron de vosotros el bien.
25 Aber eure Missetaten hindern solches, und eure Sünden wenden das Gute von euch.
26 For there are sinners among my people: they keep watch, like men watching for birds; they put a net and take men in it.
26 Car il se trouve parmi mon peuple des méchants; Ils épient comme l'oiseleur qui dresse des pièges, Ils tendent des filets, et prennent des hommes.
26 Is ea, tá drochdhaoine le fáil i measc mo phobail; spréann siad a líonta; fearacht éanairí cuireann siad dol, agus gabhann daoine.
26 Porque fueron hallados en mi pueblo impíos; acechaban como quien pone lazos; pusieron trampa para tomar hombres.
26 Denn man findet unter meinem Volk Gottlose, die den Leuten nachstellen und Fallen zurichten, sie zu fangen, wie die Vogler tun.
27 As the fowl-house is full of birds, so are their houses full of deceit: for this reason they have become great and have got wealth.
27 Comme une cage est remplie d'oiseaux, Leurs maisons sont remplies de fraude; C'est ainsi qu'ils deviennent puissants et riches.

27 Como jaula llena de pájaros, así están sus casas llenas de engaño: así se hicieron grandes y ricos.
27 Und ihre Häuser sind voller Tücke, wie ein Vogelbauer voller Lockvögel ist. Daher werden sie gewaltig und reich, fett und glatt.
28 They have become fat and strong: they have gone far in works of evil: they give no support to the cause of the child without a father, so that they may do well; they do not see that the poor man gets his rights.
28 Ils s'engraissent, ils sont brillants d'embonpoint; Ils dépassent toute mesure dans le mal, Ils ne défendent pas la cause, la cause de l'orphelin, et ils prospèrent; Ils ne font pas droit aux indigents.
28 d'éirigh siad méith agus sleamhain. Go deimhin níl teorainn leo le holcas, níl meas acu ar an gceart, ní trua leo cás an dílleachta, cúis na mbocht, ní chosnaíonn siad.
28 Engordaron y pusiéronse lustrosos, y sobrepujaron los hechos del malo: no juzgaron la causa, la causa del huérfano; con todo hiciéronse prósperos, y la causa de los pobres no juzgaron.
28 Sie gehen mit bösen Stücken um; sie halten kein Recht, der Waisen Sache fördern sie nicht, daß auch sie Glück hätten, und helfen den Armen nicht zum Recht.
29 Am I not to give punishment for these things? says the Lord: will not my soul take payment from such a nation as this?

29 ¿No tengo de visitar sobre esto? dice Jehová; ¿y de tal gente no se vengará mi alma?
29 Sollte ich denn solches nicht heimsuchen, spricht der HERR, und meine Seele sollte sich nicht rächen an solchem Volk, wie dies ist?
30 A thing of wonder and fear has come about in the land;
30 Des choses horribles, abominables, Se font dans le pays.
30 Tá nithe aduafara, uafásacha á ndéanamh sa tír;
30 Cosa espantosa y fea es hecha en la tierra:
30 Es steht greulich und schrecklich im Lande.
