1 The words of Jeremiah, the son of Hilkiah, of the priests who were in Anathoth in the land of Benjamin:

2 To whom the word of the Lord came in the days of Josiah, the son of Amon, king of Judah, in the thirteenth year of his rule.
2 La parole de l'Éternel lui fut adressée au temps de Josias, fils d'Amon, roi de Juda, la treizième année de son règne,
2 Tháinig briathar an Tiarna chuige i laethanta Ióisíá mac Amón, rí Iúdá, sa tríú bliain déag dá réim.
2 La palabra de Jehová que fué á él en los días de Josías hijo de Amón, rey de Judá, en el año décimotercio de su reinado.
2 zu welchem geschah das Wort des HERRN zur Zeit Josias, des Sohnes Amons, des Königs in Juda, im dreizehnten Jahr seines Königreichs,
3 And it came again in the days of Jehoiakim, the son of Josiah, king of Judah, up to the eleventh year of Zedekiah, the son of Josiah, king of Judah; till Jerusalem was taken away in the fifth month.
3 et au temps de Jojakim, fils de Josias, roi de Juda, jusqu'à la fin de la onzième année de Sédécias, fils de Josias, roi de Juda, jusqu'à l'époque où Jérusalem fut emmenée en captivité, au cinquième mois.

3 Fué asimismo en días de Joacim hijo de Josías, rey de Judá, hasta el fin del año undécimo de Sedechîas hijo de Josías, rey de Judá, hasta la cautividad de Jerusalem en el mes quinto.
3 und hernach zur Zeit des Königs in Juda, Jojakims, des Sohnes Josias, bis ans Ende des elften Jahres Zedekias, des Sohnes Josias, des Königs in Juda, bis auf die Gefangenschaft Jerusalems im fünften Monat.
4 Now the word of the Lord came to me, saying,
4 La parole de l'Éternel me fut adressée, en ces mots:

4 Fué pues palabra de Jehová á mí, diciendo:
4 Und des HERRN Wort geschah zu mir und sprach:
5 Before you were formed in the body of your mother I had knowledge of you, and before your birth I made you holy; I have given you the work of being a prophet to the nations.
5 Avant que je t'eusse formé dans le ventre de ta mère, je te connaissais, et avant que tu fusses sorti de son sein, je t'avais consacré, je t'avais établi prophète des nations.
5 “Sular chum mé thú sa bhroinn bhí aithne agam ort; sular rugadh thú choisric mé thú; d'ordaigh mé thú i d'fháidh do na ciníocha.”
5 Antes que te formase en el vientre te conocí, y antes que salieses de la matriz te santifiqué, te dí por profeta á las gentes.
5 Ich kannte dich, ehe denn ich dich im Mutterleibe bereitete, und sonderte dich aus, ehe denn du von der Mutter geboren wurdest, und stellte dich zum Propheten unter die Völker.
6 Then said I, O Lord God! see, I have no power of words, for I am a child.
6 Je répondis: Ah! Seigneur Éternel! voici, je ne sais point parler, car je suis un enfant.
6 Ansin dúirt mise: “Ó a Thiarna Dia, féach, ní fhéadaim labhairt, óir is leanbh mé.”
6 Y yo dije: ¡Ah! ¡ah! ¡Señor Jehová! He aquí, no sé hablar, porque soy niño.
6 Ich aber sprach: Ach HERR HERR, ich tauge nicht, zu predigen; denn ich bin zu jung.
7 But the Lord said to me, Do not say, I am a child: for wherever I send you, you are to go, and whatever I give you orders to say, you are to say.
7 Et l'Éternel me dit: Ne dis pas: Je suis un enfant. Car tu iras vers tous ceux auprès de qui je t'enverrai, et tu diras tout ce que je t'ordonnerai.
7 Ach dúirt an Tiarna liom: “Ná habair, ‘Is leanbh mé.’ Téigh anois chuig gach duine chuig a gcuirfidh mise thú, agus cibé ní a ordóidh mise duit, déarfaidh tú é.
7 Y díjome Jehová: No digas, soy niño; porque á todo lo que te enviaré irás tú, y dirás todo lo que te mandaré.
7 Der HERR sprach aber zu mir: Sage nicht: "Ich bin zu jung"; sondern du sollst gehen, wohin ich dich sende, und predigen, was ich dich heiße.
8 Have no fear because of them: for I am with you, to keep you safe, says the Lord.
8 Ne les crains point, car je suis avec toi pour te délivrer, dit l'Éternel.
8 Ná bíodh faitíos ort rompu, óir tá mise leat agus tusa faoi mo choimirce, is é an Tiarna a labhraíonn.”
8 No temas delante de ellos, porque contigo soy para librarte, dice Jehová.
8 Fürchte dich nicht vor ihnen; denn ich bin bei dir und will dich erretten, spricht der HERR.
9 Then the Lord put out his hand, touching my mouth; and the Lord said to me, See, I have put my words in your mouth:
9 Puis l'Éternel étendit sa main, et toucha ma bouche; et l'Éternel me dit: Voici, je mets mes paroles dans ta bouche.
9 Ansin shín an Tiarna a lámh amach agus bhain le mo bhéal agus dúirt liom: “Féach, táim ag cur mo bhriathra i do bhéal. Ceapaim thú inniu os cionn ciníocha agus os cionn ríochtaí,
9 Y extendió Jehová su mano, y tocó sobre mi boca; y díjome Jehová: He aquí he puesto mis palabras en tu boca.
9 Und der HERR reckte seine Hand aus und rührte meinen Mund an und sprach zu mir: Siehe, ich lege meine Worte in deinen Mund.
10 See, this day I have put you over the nations and over the kingdoms, for uprooting and smashing down, for destruction and overturning, for building up and planting.
10 Regarde, je t'établis aujourd'hui sur les nations et sur les royaumes, pour que tu arraches et que tu abattes, pour que tu ruines et que tu détruises, pour que tu bâtisses et que tu plantes.
10 a réabadh aníos agus a leagan síos, a mhilleadh agus a scriosadh, a thógáil agus a phlandú.”
10 Mira que te he puesto en este día sobre gentes y sobre reinos, para arrancar y para destruir, y para arruinar y para derribar, y para edificar y para plantar.
10 Siehe, ich setze dich heute dieses Tages über Völker und Königreiche, daß du ausreißen, zerbrechen, verstören und verderben sollst und bauen und pflanzen.
11 Again the word of the Lord came to me, saying, Jeremiah, what do you see? And I said, I see a branch of an almond-tree.
11 La parole de l'Éternel me fut adressée, en ces mots: Que vois-tu, Jérémie? Je répondis: Je vois une branche d'amandier.
11 Tháinig briathar an Tiarna chugam: “rí Irimia, céard a fheiceann tú?” “Feicim slat almóinne,” arsa mise.
11 Y la palabra de Jehová fué á mí, diciendo: ¿Qué ves tú, Jeremías? Y dije: Yo veo una vara de almendro.
11 Und es geschah des HERRN Wort zu mir und sprach: Jeremia, was siehst du? Ich sprach: Ich sehe einen erwachenden Zweig.
12 Then the Lord said to me, You have seen well: for I keep watch over my word to give effect to it.
12 Et l'Éternel me dit: Tu as bien vu; car je veille sur ma parole, pour l'exécuter.
12 Ansin dúirt an Tiarna liom: “Is maith a chonaic tú, óir déanaimse faire ar mo bhriathar go gcomhlíonfar é.”
12 Y díjome Jehová: Bien has visto; porque yo apresuro mi palabra para ponerla por obra.
12 Und der HERR sprach zu mir: Du hast recht gesehen; denn ich will wachen über mein Wort, daß ich's tue.
13 And the word of the Lord came to me a second time, saying, What do you see? And I said, I see a boiling pot, and its face is from the north.
13 La parole de l'Éternel me fut adressée une seconde fois, en ces mots: Que vois-tu? Je répondis: Je vois une chaudière bouillante, du côté du septentrion.
13 Tháinig briathar an Tiarna chugam an dara huair: “Céard a fheiceann tú?” Arsa mise: “Feicim pota ar fiuchadh agus a aghaidh anall ón Tuaisceart.”
13 Y fué á mí palabra de Jehová segunda vez, diciendo: ¿Qué ves tú? Y dije: Yo veo una olla que hierve; y su haz está de la parte del aquilón.
13 Und es geschah des HERRN Wort zum andernmal zu mir und sprach: Was siehst du? Ich sprach: Ich sehe einen heißsiedenden Topf von Mitternacht her.
14 Then the Lord said to me, Out of the north evil will come, bursting out on all the people of the land.
14 Et l'Éternel me dit: C'est du septentrion que la calamité se répandra sur tous les habitants du pays.
14 Ansin dúirt an Tiarna: “Is é an Tuaisceart an áit a bhfuil an tubaiste ag cur thar maoil le haghaidh an uile dhuine a chónaíonn sa tír seo;
14 Y díjome Jehová: Del aquilón se soltará el mal sobre todos los moradores de la tierra.
14 Und der HERR sprach zu mir: Von Mitternacht wird das Unglück ausbrechen über alle, die im Lande wohnen.
15 For see, I will send for all the families of the kingdoms of the north, says the Lord; and they will come, everyone placing his high seat at the way into Jerusalem, and against its walls on every side, and against all the towns of Judah.
15 Car voici, je vais appeler tous les peuples des royaumes du septentrion, dit l'Éternel; ils viendront, et placeront chacun leur siège à l'entrée des portes de Jérusalem, contre ses murailles tout alentour, et contre toutes les villes de Juda.
15 óir táim anois ag cur fios ar threibheanna ríochtaí uile an Tuaiscirt - is é an Tiarna a labhraíonn. Tiocfaidh siad, agus suífidh gach aon díobh a ríchathaoir i mbéal geataí Iarúsailéim, in aghaidh a ballaí uile maguaird, agus in aghaidh bailte uile Iúdá.
15 Porque he aquí que yo convoco todas las familias de los reinos del aquilón, dice Jehová; y vendrán, y pondrá cada uno su asiento á la entrada de las puertas de Jerusalem, y junto á todos sus muros en derredor, y en todas las ciudades de Judá.
15 Denn siehe, ich will rufen alle Fürsten in den Königreichen gegen Mitternacht, spricht der HERR, daß sie kommen sollen und ihre Stühle setzen vor die Tore zu Jerusalem und rings um die Mauern her und vor alle Städte Juda's.
16 And I will give my decision against them on account of all their evil-doing; because they have given me up, burning perfumes to other gods and worshipping the works of their hands.
16 Je prononcerai mes jugements contre eux, à cause de toute leur méchanceté, parce qu'ils m'ont abandonné et ont offert de l'encens à d'autres dieux, et parce qu'ils se sont prosternés devant l'ouvrage de leurs mains.
16 Tabharfaidh mise mo bhreithiúnas ina n‑aghaidh i ndíol an uile oilc a rinne siad; mar thréig siad mise chun túis a loscadh do dhéithe eile agus oibreacha a lámh féin a adhradh.
16 Y á causa de toda su malicia, proferiré mis juicios contra los que me dejaron, é incensaron á dioses extraños, y á hechuras de sus manos se encorvaron.
16 Und ich will das Recht lassen über sie gehen um all ihrer Bosheit willen, daß sie mich verlassen und räuchern andern Göttern und beten an ihrer Hände Werk.
17 So make yourself ready, and go and say to them everything I give you orders to say: do not be overcome by fear of them, or I will send fear on you before them.
17 Et toi, ceins tes reins, lève-toi, et dis-leur tout ce que je t'ordonnerai. Ne tremble pas en leur présence, de peur que je ne te fasse trembler devant eux.
17 Tusa, crioslaigh thú féin mar sin chun comhraic. Éirigh agus abair leo gach a n‑ordaímse duit. Ná bíodh eagla ort ina bhfianaise, ar fhaitíos go gcuirfinnse eagla ort ina bhfianaise.
17 Tú pues, ciñe tus lomos, y te levantarás, y les hablarás todo lo que te mandaré: no temas delante de ellos, porque no te haga yo quebrantar delante de ellos.
17 So begürte nun deine Lenden und mache dich auf und predige ihnen alles, was ich dich heiße. Erschrick nicht vor ihnen, auf daß ich dich nicht erschrecke vor ihnen;
18 For see, this day have I made you a walled town, and an iron pillar, and walls of brass, against all the land, against the kings of Judah, against its captains, against its priests, and against the people of the land.
18 Voici, je t'établis en ce jour sur tout le pays comme une ville forte, une colonne de fer et un mur d'airain, contre les rois de Juda, contre ses chefs, contre ses sacrificateurs, et contre le peuple du pays.
18 I dtaca liomsa de, déanfaidh mise díot inniu cathair dhaingean, cuaille iarainn, agus balla práis in aghaidh na tíre seo go hiomlán, in aghaidh ríthe Iúdá, in aghaidh a prionsaí, a sagart agus mhuintir na tíre.
18 Porque he aquí que yo te he puesto en este día como ciudad fortalecida, y como columna de hierro, y como muro de bronce sobre toda la tierra, á los reyes de Judá, á sus príncipes, á sus sacerdotes, y al pueblo de la tierra.
18 denn ich will dich heute zur festen Stadt, zur eisernen Säule, zur ehernen Mauer machen im ganzen Lande, wider die Könige Juda's, wider ihre Fürsten, wider ihre Priester, wider das Volk im Lande,
19 They will be fighting against you, but they will not overcome you: for I am with you, says the Lord, to give you salvation.
19 Ils te feront la guerre, mais ils ne te vaincront pas; car je suis avec toi pour te délivrer, dit l'Éternel.
