Isaiah 61

1 Because of Zion I will not keep quiet, and because of Jerusalem I will take no rest, till her righteousness goes out like the shining of the sun, and her salvation like a burning light.

1 Ar mhaithe le Síón ní fhanfaidh mé i mo thost, agus mar gheall ar Iarúsailéim ní mian liom bheith socair, nó go dté a fíréantacht amach mar an maidneachan agus a slánú mar bheadh lóchrann ag lonrú.

2 And the nations will see your righteousness, and all kings your glory: and you will have a new name, given by the mouth of the Lord.

2 Is ann a fheicfidh na ciníocha d'fhíréantacht agus na ríthe uile do ghlóir; agus tabharfar ainm nua ort, ainm a fhógróidh béal an Tiarna féin.

3 And you will be a fair crown in the hand of the Lord, and a king's head-dress in the hand of your God.

3 Beidh tú i do choróin taibhseach i láimh an Tiarna, i do cheannbheart ríoga ar bhois do Dhé.

4 You will not now be named, She who is given up; and your land will no longer be named, The waste land: but you will have the name, My pleasure is in her, and your land will be named, Married: for the Lord has pleasure in you, and your land will be married.

4 Ní déarfaidh siad Uaigneach leat feasta, ná ní ghairfear Fásach do do dhúiche. Ach is é ainm a bheidh ort féin “Bean mo rúin” agus “an Céile” a bheidh ar do dhúiche. Óir lig an Tiarna a rún leat agus gheobhaidh do dhúiche é mar chéile.

5 For as a young man takes a virgin for his wife, so will your maker be married to you: and as a husband has joy in his bride, so will the Lord your God be glad over you.

5 Díreach mar a phósann ógfhear cailín, is é an Saor féin a phósfaidh thusa; agus mar is cúis ghairdis a chéile don fhear nuaphósta, beidh tú féin i do chúis ghairdis ag do Dhia.

6 I have put watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem; they will not keep quiet day or night: you who are the Lord's recorders, take no rest,

6 Ar do mhúrtha, a Iarúsailéim, tá lucht faire i gceann poist agam nach dual tost dóibh de lá ná d'oíche; Sibhse a mheabhraíonn ár gcás don Tiarna,

7 And give him no rest, till he puts Jerusalem in her place to be praised in the earth.

7 níl sos i ndán daoibh - agus ná tugaigí sos dósan nó go gcuire sé Iarúsailéim ar bun ina duan molta dó go deo ar talamh.

8 The Lord has taken an oath by his right hand, and by the arm of his strength, Truly, I will no longer give your grain to be food for your haters; and men of strange countries will not take the wine for which your work has been done:

8 L'Éternel l'a juré par sa droite et par son bras puissant: Je ne donnerai plus ton blé pour nourriture à tes ennemis, Et les fils de l'étranger ne boiront plus ton vin, Produit de tes labeurs;

8 Tá an Tiarna tar éis a mhionn a thabhairt dar a dheasláimh agus dar neart a ghualann: “Ní baol feasta go dtabharfaidh mé do chruithneacht mar bhia do do naimhde. Eachtrannaigh ní ólfaidh níos mó do chuid fíona ar chaith tú do shaothar leis.

8 Der HERR hat geschworen bei seiner Rechten und bei dem Arm seiner Macht: Ich will dein Getreide nicht mehr deinen Feinden zu essen geben, noch deinen Most, daran du gearbeitet hast, die Fremden trinken lassen;

9 But those who have got in the grain will have it for their food, and will give praise to the Lord; and those who have got in the grapes will take the wine of them in the open places of my holy house.

9 Ach an dream a rinne an t‑arbhar a tharlú, íosfaidh siad féin é agus molfaidh siad an Tiarna. Is iad lucht cnuasaithe na gcaora fíona a bheidh ag ól i mo chúirteanna beannaithe.”

10 Go through, go through the doors; make ready the way of the people; let the highway be lifted up; let the stones be taken away; let a flag be lifted up over the peoples.

10 Franchissez, franchissez les portes! Préparez un chemin pour le peuple! Frayez, frayez la route, ôtez les pierres! Élevez une bannière vers les peuples!

10 Amach libh, amach trí na geataí! Réitigí bealach do mo mhuintir! Ardaigí an comhartha le haghaidh na gciníocha!

11 The Lord has sent out word to the end of the earth, Say to the daughter of Zion, See, your saviour comes; those whom he has made free are with him, and those to whom he has given salvation go before him.

11 Seo é fógra an Tiarna go críocha na cruinne féin: “Abraigí le hiníon Shíón: Seo chugat d'fhuascailteoir. Tá a luach saothair leis ina sheilbh agus a chúiteamh á iompar roimhe amach.

11 He aquí que Jehová hizo oir hasta lo último de la tierra: Decid á la hija de Sión: He aquí viene tu Salvador; he aquí su recompensa con él, y delante de él su obra.

12 And they will be named, The holy people, Those whose cause has been taken up by the Lord: and you will be named, Desired, A town not given up.

12 On les appellera peuple saint, rachetés de l'Éternel; Et toi, on t'appellera recherchée, ville non délaissée.

12 Gairfear dóibh Pobal Naofa, Cion Fuascailte an Tiarna, agus duit féin a mbíonn síorthriall ort Cathair nach dtréigtear.”
