1 Ho! crown of pride of those who are given up to wine in Ephraim, and the dead flower of his glory which is on the head of those who are overcome by strong drink!
1 Malheur à la couronne superbe des ivrognes d'Éphraïm, A la fleur fanée, qui fait l'éclat de sa parure, Sur la cime de la fertile vallée de ceux qui s'enivrent!

1 ¡AY de la corona de soberbia, de los ebrios de Ephraim, y de la flor caduca de la hermosura de su gloria, que está sobre la cabeza del valle fértil de los aturdidos del vino!
1 Weh der prächtigen Krone der Trunkenen von Ephraim, der welken Blume ihrer lieblichen Herrlichkeit, welche steht oben über einem fetten Tal derer, die vom Wein taumeln!
2 See, the Lord has a strong and cruel one; like a rain of ice, a storm of destruction, like the overflowing of a strong river, he will violently overcome them.
2 Voici venir, de la part du Seigneur, un homme fort et puissant, Comme un orage de grêle, un ouragan destructeur, Comme une tempête qui précipite des torrents d'eaux: Il la fait tomber en terre avec violence.

2 He aquí Jehová tiene un fuerte y poderoso: como turbión de granizo y como torbellino trastornador; como ímpetu de recias aguas que inundan, con fuerza derriba á tierra.
2 Siehe, ein Starker und Mächtiger vom HERRN wie ein Hagelsturm, wie ein schädliches Wetter, wie ein Wassersturm, der mächtig einreißt, wirft sie zu Boden mit Gewalt,
3 The crown of pride of those who are given up to wine in Ephraim will be crushed under foot;
3 Elle sera foulée aux pieds, La couronne superbe des ivrognes d'Éphraïm;
3 Satlófar faoi chosa iad, coróin dhíomasach sin phótairí Eafráim
3 Con los pies será hollada la corona de soberbia de los borrachos de Ephraim;
3 daß die prächtige Krone der Trunkenen von Ephraim mit Füßen zertreten wird.
4 And the dead flower of his glory, which is on the head of the fertile valley, will be like the first early fruit before the summer; which a man takes and puts in his mouth the minute he sees it.
4 Et la fleur fanée, qui fait l'éclat de sa parure, Sur la cime de la fertile vallée, Sera comme une figue hâtive qu'on aperçoit avant la récolte, Et qui, à peine dans la main, est aussitôt avalée.
4 agus bláth feoite a háilleachta agus a huabhair, in airde mar atá siad os cionn an ghleanna mhéith. Mar bheadh fige luath i dtús an tsamhraidh: an té a fheiceann é, stoitheann é agus ní luaithe ina láimh é ná tá sé slogtha aige.
4 Y será la flor caduca de la hermosura de su gloria que está sobre la cabeza del valle fértil, como la fruta temprana, la primera del verano, la cual, en viéndola el que la mira, se la traga tan luego como la tiene á mano.
4 Und die welke Blume ihrer lieblichen Herrlichkeit, welche steht oben über einem fetten Tal, wird sein gleichwie die Frühfeige vor dem Sommer, welche einer ersieht und flugs aus der Hand verschlingt.
5 In that day will the Lord of armies be a crown of glory, and a fair ornament, to the rest of his people;
5 En ce jour, l'Éternel des armées sera Une couronne éclatante et une parure magnifique Pour le reste de son peuple,
5 An lá sin, coróin ghlóire a bheidh i dTiarna na Slua, mionn ríoga álainn i gcomhair fuílleach a phobail;
5 En aquel día Jehová de los ejércitos será por corona de gloria y diadema de hermosura á las reliquias de su pueblo;
5 Zu der Zeit wird der HERR Zebaoth sein eine liebliche Krone und ein herrlicher Kranz den Übriggebliebenen seines Volks
6 And a spirit of wisdom to the judge, and strength to those who keep back the attackers at the door of the town.
6 Un esprit de justice pour celui qui est assis au siège de la justice, Et une force pour ceux qui repoussent l'ennemi jusqu'à ses portes.

6 Y por espíritu de juicio al que se sentare en juicio, y por fortaleza á los que harán tornar la batalla hasta la puerta.
6 und ein Geist des Rechts dem, der zu Gericht sitzt, und eine Stärke denen, die den Streit zurücktreiben zum Tor.
7 And further, these are uncertain through wine, and have gone out of the right way through strong drink: the priest and the prophet are uncertain through strong drink, they are overcome by wine, they have gone out of the way through strong drink; their vision is false, they go wrong in their decisions.
7 Mais eux aussi, ils chancellent dans le vin, Et les boissons fortes leur donnent des vertiges; Sacrificateurs et prophètes chancellent dans les boissons fortes, Ils sont absorbés par le vin, Ils ont des vertiges à cause des boissons fortes; Ils chancellent en prophétisant, Ils vacillent en rendant la justice.
7 Tá siad siúd ag stangaireacht faoi oibriú an fhíona, tá siad ar seachrán ag an bpóit. Tá meadhrán sna sagairt agus sna fáithe le barr dí, tá mearbhall orthu le fíon; tá siad ar seachrán ag an bpóit, tá siad ag stangaireacht agus ag aislingíocht, tá siad ag tuisliú agus iad ag tabhairt a mbreithiúnas.
7 Mas también éstos erraron con el vino; y con la sidra se entontecieron; el sacerdote y el profeta erraron con la sidra, fueron trastornados del vino, aturdiéronse con la sidra, erraron en la visión, tropezaron en el juicio.
7 Aber auch diese sind vom Wein toll geworden und taumeln von starkem Getränk. Beide, Priester und Propheten, sind toll von starkem Getränk, sind in Wein ersoffen und taumeln von starkem Getränk; sie sind toll beim Weissagen und wanken beim Rechtsprechen.
8 For all the tables are covered with coughed-up food, so that there is not a clean place.
8 Toutes les tables sont pleines de vomissements, d'ordures; Il n'y a plus de place. -

9 ¿A quién se enseñará ciencia, ó á quién se hará entender doctrina? ¿A los quitados de la leche? ¿á los arrancados de los pechos?
9 "Wen, sagen sie, will er denn lehren Erkenntnis? wem will er zu verstehen geben die Predigt? Den Entwöhnten von der Milch, denen, die von Brüsten abgesetzt sind?
10 For it is one rule after another; one line after another; here a little, there a little.
10 Car c'est précepte sur précepte, précepte sur précepte, Règle sur règle, règle sur règle, Un peu ici, un peu là. -

12 To whom he said, This is the rest, give rest to him who is tired; and by this you may get new strength; but they would not give ear.
12 Il lui disait: Voici le repos, Laissez reposer celui qui est fatigué; Voici le lieu du repos! Mais ils n'ont point voulu écouter.

12 A los cuales él dijo: Este es el reposo: dad reposo al cansado; y éste es el refrigerio: mas no quisieron oir.

13 For this cause the word of the Lord will be to them rule after rule, line after line, here a little, there a little; so that they may go on their way, and falling back may be broken, and taken in the net.

13 Darum soll ihnen auch des HERRN Wort eben also werden: Gebeut hin, gebeut her; tut dies, tut das; harre hier, harre da; warte hier, warte da; hier ein wenig, da ein wenig, daß sie hingehen und zurückfallen, zerbrechen, verstrickt und gefangen werden.
14 Give ear then to the word of the Lord, you men of pride, the rulers of this people in Jerusalem:
14 Écoutez donc la parole de l'Éternel, moqueurs, Vous qui dominez sur ce peuple de Jérusalem!

14 Por tanto, varones burladores, que estáis enseñoreados sobre este pueblo que está en Jerusalem, oid la palabra de Jehová.
14 So höret nun des HERRN Wort, ihr Spötter, die ihr herrschet über dies Volk, das zu Jerusalem ist.
15 Because you have said, We have made death our friend, and with the underworld we have made an agreement; when the overflowing waters come through they will not come near us; for we are looking to false words for help, taking cover in what is untrue:
15 Vous dites: Nous avons fait une alliance avec la mort, Nous avons fait un pacte avec le séjour des morts; Quand le fléau débordé passera, il ne nous atteindra pas, Car nous avons la fausseté pour refuge et le mensonge pour abri.
15 Deir sibh: “Tá conradh déanta againn leis an mBás, agus le Seól tá muid tagtha ar réiteach. Rabharta an aimhlis, nuair a thiocfaidh sé thart, ní shroichfidh sé fad linne; mar tá dídean faighte againn sa bhréag, agus sa chealg fuaireamar foscadh.” Fáistine
15 Porque habéis dicho: Concierto tenemos hecho con la muerte, é hicimos acuerdo con la sepultura; cuando pasare el turbión del azote, no llegará á nosotros, pues que hemos puesto nuestra acogida en la mentira, y en la falsedad nos esconderemos:
15 Denn ihr sprecht: Wir haben mit dem Tod einen Bund und mit der Hölle einen Vertag gemacht; wenn eine Flut dahergeht, wird sie uns nicht treffen; denn wir haben die Lüge zu unsrer Zuflucht und Heuchelei zu unserm Schirm gemacht.
16 For this cause says the Lord God, See, I am placing in Zion as a base, a stone, a tested stone, an angle-stone which is certain and of great value: and he who has faith will not give way.
16 C'est pourquoi ainsi parle le Seigneur, l'Éternel: Voici, j'ai mis pour fondement en Sion une pierre, Une pierre éprouvée, une pierre angulaire de prix, solidement posée; Celui qui la prendra pour appui n'aura point hâte de fuir.

16 Por tanto, el Señor Jehová dice así: He aquí que yo fundo en Sión una piedra, piedra de fortaleza, de esquina, de precio, de cimiento estable: el que creyere, no se apresure.
16 Darum spricht der HERR HERR: Siehe, ich lege in Zion einen Grundstein, einen bewährten Stein, einen köstlichen Eckstein, der wohl gegründet ist. Wer glaubt, der flieht nicht.
17 And I will make right decision the measuring-line, and righteousness the weight: and the ice-storm will take away the safe place of false words, and the secret place will be covered by the flowing waters.
17 Je ferai de la droiture une règle, Et de la justice un niveau; Et la grêle emportera le refuge de la fausseté, Et les eaux inonderont l'abri du mensonge.
17 Agus is í an chóir a bheas ina dorú ingir agam agus an fhíréantacht mar leibhéal agus mé á leagan. Ach scuabfaidh an clochshneachta dídean na mbréag leis agus cartfaidh na huiscí bhur bhfoscadh chun siúil”;
17 Y ajustaré el juicio á cordel, y á nivel la justicia; y granizo barrerá la acogida de la mentira, y aguas arrollarán el escondrijo.
17 Und ich will das Recht zur Richtschnur und die Gerechtigkeit zum Gericht machen; so wird der Hagel die falsche Zuflucht wegtreiben, und Wasser sollen den Schirm wegschwemmen,
18 And the help you were looking for from death will come to nothing, and your agreement with the underworld will be broken; when the overflowing waters come through, then you will be overcome by them.
18 Votre alliance avec la mort sera détruite, Votre pacte avec le séjour des morts ne subsistera pas; Quand le fléau débordé passera, Vous serez par lui foulés aux pieds.
18 brisfear bhur gconradh leis an mBás, agus bhur réiteach le Seól ní sheasfaidh. Nuair a thagann rabharta an aimhlis, brúfaidh sé síos lena thoirt sibh;
18 Y será anulado vuestro concierto con la muerte, y vuestro acuerdo con el sepulcro no será firme: cuando pasare el turbión del azote, seréis de él hollados.
18 daß euer Bund mit dem Tode los werde und euer Vertrag mit der Hölle nicht bestehe. Und wenn eine Flut dahergeht, wird sie euch zertreten; sobald sie dahergeht, wird sie euch wegnehmen.
19 Whenever they come through they will overtake you; for they will come through morning after morning, by day and by night: and the news will be nothing but fear.
19 Chaque fois qu'il passera, il vous saisira; Car il passera tous les matins, le jour et la nuit, Et son bruit seul donnera l'épouvante.

19 Luego que comenzare á pasar, él os arrebatará; porque de mañana de mañana pasará, de día y de noche; y será que el espanto solamente haga entender lo oído.
19 Kommt sie des Morgens, so geschieht's des Morgens; also auch, sie komme des Tags oder des Nachts. Denn allein die Anfechtung lehrt aufs Wort merken.
20 For the bed is not long enough for a man to be stretched out on: and the cover is not wide enough for him to be covered with.
20 Le lit sera trop court pour s'y étendre, Et la couverture trop étroite pour s'en envelopper.
20 Beidh an leaba róghairid le síneadh uirthi, agus an clúdach róchaol chun tú féin a shoipriú ann.
20 Porque la cama es tan angosta que no basta, y la cubierta estrecha para recoger.
20 Denn das Bett ist so eng, daß nichts übrig ist, und die Decke so kurz, daß man sich drein schmiegen muß.
21 For the Lord will come up as on Mount Perazim, he will be moved to wrath as in the valley of Gibeon; so that he may do his work--strange is his work; and give effect to his act--unnatural is his act.
21 Car l'Éternel se lèvera comme à la montagne de Peratsim, Il s'irritera comme dans la vallée de Gabaon, Pour faire son oeuvre, son oeuvre étrange, Pour exécuter son travail, son travail inouï.
21 Is ea, éireoidh an Tiarna mar a d'éirigh sé ar shliabh Parazaím; tiocfaidh riastradh air mar a tháinig i ngleann Ghibeón chun a ghníomh a chur i gcrích - agus is ait an gníomh é! - chun a shaothar a shaothrú - agus is aduain an saothar sin!
21 Porque Jehová se levantará como en el monte Perasim, como en el valle de Gabaón se enojará; para hacer su obra, su extraña obra, y para hacer su operación, su extraña operación.
21 Denn der HERR wird sich aufmachen wie auf dem Berge Perazim und zürnen wie im Tal Gibeon, daß er sein Werk vollbringe auf eine fremde Weise und daß er seine Arbeit tue auf seltsame Weise.
22 And now, take care that you do not make sport of him, or your bands will be made strong; for I have had word from the Lord, the Lord of armies, of an end, of a complete end, which is to come on all the land.
22 Maintenant, ne vous livrez point à la moquerie, De peur que vos liens ne soient resserrés; Car la destruction de tout le pays est résolue; Je l'ai appris du Seigneur, de l'Éternel des armées.

22 Ahora pues, no os burléis, porque no se aprieten más vuestras ataduras: porque consumación y acabamiento sobre toda la tierra he oído del Señor Jehová de los ejércitos.
22 So lasset nun euer Spotten, auf daß eure Bande nicht härter werden; denn ich habe ein Verderben gehört, das vom HERRN HERRN Zebaoth beschlossen ist über alle Welt.
23 Let your ears be open to my voice; give attention to what I say.
23 Prêtez l'oreille, et écoutez ma voix! Soyez attentifs, et écoutez ma parole!

24 Is the ploughman for ever ploughing? does he not get the earth ready and broken up for the seed?
24 Celui qui laboure pour semer laboure-t-il toujours? Ouvre-t-il et brise-t-il toujours son terrain?

24 El que ara para sembrar, ¿arará todo el día; romperá y quebrará los terrones de la tierra?
24 Pflügt zur Saat oder bracht oder eggt auch ein Ackermann seinen Acker immerdar?
25 When the face of the earth has been levelled, does he not put in the different sorts of seed, and the grain in lines, and the barley in its place, and the spelt at the edge?
25 N'est-ce pas après en avoir aplani la surface Qu'il répand de la nielle et sème du cumin; Qu'il met le froment par rangées, L'orge à une place marquée, Et l'épeautre sur les bords?
25 An amhlaidh, nuair a bhíonn sé cothrom aige, nach gcraitheann sé lus mín air, nach gcuireann sé coimín, agus cruithneacht agus eorna ina dhiaidh sin, agus an spealt ar an imeall amuigh?
25 Después que hubiere igualado su superficie, ¿no derramará la neguilla, sembrará el comino, pondrá el trigo por su orden, y la cebada en su señal, y la avena en su término?
25 Ist's nicht also: wenn er's gleich gemacht hat, so streut er Wicken und wirft Kümmel und sät Weizen und Gerste, jegliches, wohin er's haben will, und Spelt an seinen Ort?
26 For his God is his teacher, giving him the knowledge of these things.
26 Son Dieu lui a enseigné la marche à suivre, Il lui a donné ses instructions.
26 An té a mhúineann an riail sin dó, is é a Dhia é atá á theagasc.
26 Porque su Dios le instruye, y le enseña á juicio.
26 Also unterwies ihn sein Gott zum Rechten und lehrte ihn.
27 For the fitches are not crushed with a sharp instrument, and a cart-wheel is not rolled over the cummin; but the grain of the fitches is hammered out with a stick, and of the cummin with a rod.
27 On ne foule pas la nielle avec le traîneau, Et la roue du chariot ne passe pas sur le cumin; Mais on bat la nielle avec le bâton, Et le cumin avec la verge.
27 Agus ar ndóigh, ní bhuailtear an lus mín le carr sleamhnáin, ná coimín le roth cairte; ach buailtear an lus mín le slat agus coimín le súiste.
27 Que la neguilla no se trillará con trillo, ni sobre el comino rodará rueda de carreta; sino que con un palo se sacude la neguilla, y el comino con una vara.
27 Denn man drischt die Wicken nicht mit Dreschwagen, so läßt man auch nicht das Wagenrad über den Kümmel gehen; sondern die Wicken schlägt man aus mit einem Stabe und den Kümmel mit einem Stecken.
28 Is the grain for bread crushed? He does not go on crushing it for ever, but he lets his cart-wheels and his horses go over it without crushing it.
28 On bat le blé, Mais on ne le bat pas toujours; On y pousse la roue du chariot et les chevaux, Mais on ne l'écrase pas.
28 Ná ní dhéantar arbhar an aráin a bhrú go hiomlán; an té a thiomáineann rothaí na cairte air, buaileann sé amach é, ach ní dhéanann sé a bhrú.
28 El pan se trilla; mas no siempre lo trillará, ni lo comprimirá con la rueda de su carreta, ni lo quebrantará con los dientes de su trillo.
28 Man mahlt es, daß es Brot werde, und drischt es nicht gar zunichte, wenn man's mit Wagenrädern und Pferden ausdrischt.
29 This comes from the Lord of armies, purposing wonders, and wise in all his acts.
29 Cela aussi vient de l'Éternel des armées; Admirable est son conseil, et grande est sa sagesse.
