2 auf daß sie die Sache der Armen beugen und Gewalt üben am Recht der Elenden unter meinem Volk, daß die Witwen ihr Raub und die Waisen ihre Beute sein müssen!
3 And what will you do in the day of punishment, and in the destruction which is coming from far? to whom will you go for help, and what will become of your glory?
3 Que ferez-vous au jour du châtiment, Et de la ruine qui du lointain fondra sur vous? Vers qui fuirez-vous, pour avoir du secours, Et où laisserez-vous votre gloire?

3 ¿Y qué haréis en el día de la visitación? ¿y á quién os acogeréis que os ayude, cuando viniere de lejos el asolamiento? ¿y en dónde dejaréis vuestra gloria?
3 Was wollt ihr tun am Tage der Heimsuchung und des Unglücks, das von fern kommt? Zu wem wollt ihr fliehen um Hilfe? Und wo wollt ihr eure Ehre lassen,
4 ... For all this his wrath is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.

5 Ho! Assyrian, the rod of my wrath, the instrument of my punishment!
5 Malheur à l'Assyrien, verge de ma colère! La verge dans sa main, c'est l'instrument de ma fureur.

12 For this cause it will be that, when the purpose of the Lord against Mount Zion and Jerusalem is complete, I will send punishment on the pride of the heart of the king of Assyria, and on the glory of his uplifted eyes.

12 Wenn aber der HERR all sein Werk ausgerichtet hat auf dem Berge Zion und zu Jerusalem, will ich heimsuchen die Frucht des Hochmuts des Königs von Assyrien und die Pracht seiner Hoffärtigen Augen,
13 For he has said, By the strength of my hand I have done it, and by my knowledge, for I am wise: and I have taken away the limits of the peoples' lands, and the stores of their wealth have become mine; and I have made towns low in the dust, sending destruction on those living in them;
13 Car il dit: C'est par la force de ma main que j'ai agi, C'est par ma sagesse, car je suis intelligent; J'ai reculé les limites des peuples, et pillé leurs trésors, Et, comme un héros, j'ai renversé ceux qui siégeaient sur des trônes;

13 Porque dijo: Con la fortaleza de mi mano lo he hecho, y con mi sabiduría; porque he sido prudente: y quité los términos de los pueblos, y saqué sus tesoros, y derribé como valientes los que estaban sentados:
13 darum daß er spricht: Ich habe es durch meiner Hände Kraft ausgerichtet und durch meine Weisheit, denn ich bin klug; ich habe die Länder anders geteilt und ihr Einkommen geraubt und wie ein Mächtiger die Einwohner zu Boden geworfen,
14 And I have put my hands on the wealth of the peoples, as on the place where a bird has put her eggs; and as a man may take the eggs from which a bird has gone, so I have taken all the earth for myself: and not a wing was moved, and not a mouth gave out a sound.
14 J'ai mis la main sur les richesses des peuples, comme sur un nid, Et, comme on ramasse des oeufs abandonnés, J'ai ramassé toute la terre: Nul n'a remué l'aile, Ni ouvert le bec, ni poussé un cri. -

14 Y halló mi mano como nido las riquezas de los pueblos; y como se cogen los huevos dejados, así me apoderé yo de toda la tierra; y no hubo quien moviese ala, ó abriese boca y graznase.
14 und meine Hand hat gefunden die Völker wie ein Vogelnest, daß ich habe alle Lande zusammengerafft, wie man Eier aufrafft, die verlassen sind, da keines eine Feder regt oder den Schnabel aufsperrt oder zischt.
15 Will the axe say high-sounding words against him who is using it, or the blade be full of pride against him who is cutting with it? As if a rod had the power of shaking him who is using it, or as if a stick might take up him who is not wood.
15 La hache se glorifie-t-elle envers celui qui s'en sert? Ou la scie est-elle arrogante envers celui qui la manie? Comme si la verge faisait mouvoir celui qui la lève, Comme si le bâton soulevait celui qui n'est pas du bois!
15 An ceadmhach don tua bheith ag déanamh gaisce i gcoinne fear a oibrithe? Nó don toireasc mórtas a dhéanamh in éadan fear a láimhsithe? Ionann is dá mbeadh an tslat ag bogadh an té a ardaíonn í, agus an bata ag cur anam sa té nach adhmad é.
15 ¿Gloriaráse el hacha contra el que con ella corta? ¿se ensoberbecerá la sierra contra el que la mueve? como si el bordón se levantase contra los que lo levantan; como si se levantase la vara: ¿no es leño?
15 Mag sich auch eine Axt rühmen gegen den, der damit haut? oder eine Säge trotzen gegen den, der sie zieht? Als ob die Rute schwänge den der sie hebt; als ob der Stecken höbe den, der kein Holz ist!
16 For this cause the Lord, the Lord of armies, will make his fat become wasted; and in his inner parts a fire will be lighted like a burning flame.
16 C'est pourquoi le Seigneur, le Seigneur des armées, enverra Le dépérissement parmi ses robustes guerriers; Et, sous sa magnificence, éclatera un embrasement, Comme l'embrasement d'un feu.

16 Darum wird der HERR HERR Zebaoth unter die Fetten Assurs die Darre senden, und seine Herrlichkeit wird er anzünden, daß sie brennen wird wie ein Feuer.
17 And the light of Israel will be for a fire, and his Holy One for a flame: wasting and burning up his thorns in one day.
17 La lumière d'Israël deviendra un feu, Et son Saint une flamme, Qui consumera et dévorera ses épines et ses ronces, En un seul jour;

20 Y acontecerá en aquel tiempo, que los que hubieren quedado de Israel, y los que hubieren quedado de la casa de Jacob, nunca más estriben sobre el que los hirió; sino que se apoyarán con verdad en Jehová Santo de Israel.
20 Zu der Zeit werden die Übriggebliebenen in Israel und die errettet werden im Hause Jakob, sich nicht mehr verlassen auf den, der sie schlägt; sondern sie werden sich verlassen auf den HERRN, den Heiligen in Israel, in der Wahrheit.
21 The rest, even the rest of Jacob, will come back to the Strong God.
21 Le reste reviendra, le reste de Jacob, Au Dieu puissant.

23 For the Lord, the Lord of armies, is about to make destruction complete in all the land.

24 For this cause the Lord, the Lord of armies, says, O my people living in Zion, have no fear of the Assyrian, even if his rod comes on your back, and his stick is lifted up as in Egypt.
24 Cependant, ainsi parle le Seigneur, l'Éternel des armées: O mon peuple, qui habites en Sion, ne crains pas l'Assyrien! Il te frappe de la verge, Et il lève son bâton sur toi, comme faisaient les Égyptiens.

24 Por tanto el Señor Jehová de los ejércitos dice así: Pueblo mío, morador de Sión, no temas de Assur. Con vara te herirá, y contra ti alzará su palo, á la manera de Egipto:
24 Darum spricht der HERR HERR Zebaoth: Fürchte dich nicht, mein Volk, das zu Zion wohnt, vor Assur. Er wird dich mit einem Stecken schlagen und seinen Stab wider dich aufheben, wie in Ägypten geschah.
25 For in a very short time my passion will be over, and my wrath will be turned to their destruction.
25 Mais, encore un peu de temps, Et le châtiment cessera, Puis ma colère se tournera contre lui pour l'anéantir.
25 Óir tamaillín beag fós agus beidh deireadh leis an bhfíoch, scriosfaidh m'fheargsa iad.
25 Mas de aquí á muy poco tiempo, se acabará el furor y mi enojo, para fenecimiento de ellos.
25 Denn es ist noch gar um ein kleines zu tun, so wird die Ungnade und mein Zorn über ihre Untugend ein Ende haben.
26 And the Lord of armies will be shaking a whip against him, as when he overcame Midian at the rock of Oreb: and his rod will be lifted up against them as it was against the Egyptians.
26 L'Éternel des armées agitera le fouet contre lui, Comme il frappa Madian au rocher d'Oreb; Et, de même qu'il leva son bâton sur la mer, Il le lèvera encore, comme en Égypte.
26 Os a chionn siúd craithfidh Tiarna na Slua an lasc, mar a rinne nuair a threascair sé Midián ag carraig Horaeb, agus nuair a shín sé a shlat in aghaidh na farraige agus a thóg í os cionn bealach na hÉigipte.
26 Y levantará Jehová de los ejércitos azote contra él, cual la matanza de Madián en la peña de Oreb: y alzará su vara sobre la mar, según hizo por la vía de Egipto.
26 Alsdann wird der HERR Zebaoth eine Geißel über ihn erwecken wie in der Schlacht Midians auf dem Fels Oreb und wird seinen Stab, den er am Meer brauchte, aufheben wie in Ägypten.
27 And in that day the weight which he put on your back will be taken away, and his yoke broken from off your neck.
27 En ce jour, son fardeau sera ôté de dessus ton épaule, Et son joug de dessus ton cou; Et la graisse fera éclater le joug.
27 Sa lá sin, sleamhnóidh a ualach siúd de do ghualainn, agus tógfar a chuing de do mhuineál.” Ionradh Namhad Tá sé ag déanamh anall orainn bealach Rimeon,
27 Y acaecerá en aquel tiempo, que su carga será quitada de tu hombro, y su yugo de tu cerviz, y el yugo se empodrecerá por causa de la unción.
27 Zu der Zeit wird seine Last von deiner Schulter weichen müssen und sein Joch von deinem Halse; denn das Joch wird bersten vor dem Fett.
28 He has gone up from Pene-Rimmon, he has come to Aiath; he has gone past Migron, at Michmash he puts his forces in order.
28 Il marche sur Ajjath, traverse Migron, Laisse ses bagages à Micmasch.
