1 To the chief music-maker. A Psalm. Of David.Happy is the man who gives thought to the poor; the Lord will be his saviour in the time of trouble.
1 (41:1) Au chef des chantres. Psaume de David. (41:2) Heureux celui qui s'intéresse au pauvre! Au jour du malheur l'Éternel le délivre;

1 BIENAVENTURADO el que piensa en el pobre: En el día malo lo librará Jehová.
1 (Ein Psalm Davids, vorzusingen.) Wohl dem, der sich des Dürftigen annimmt! Den wird der HERR erretten zur bösen Zeit.
2 The Lord will keep him safe, and give him life; the Lord will let him be a blessing on the earth, and will not give him into the hand of his haters.
2 (41:3) L'Éternel le garde et lui conserve la vie. Il est heureux sur la terre, Et tu ne le livres pas au bon plaisir de ses ennemis.

2 Der HERR wird ihn bewahren und beim Leben erhalten und es ihm lassen wohl gehen auf Erden und wird ihn nicht geben in seiner Feinde Willen.
3 The Lord will be his support on his bed of pain: by you will all his grief be turned to strength.
3 (41:4) L'Éternel le soutient sur son lit de douleur; Tu le soulages dans toutes ses maladies.
3 Tabharfaidh sé neart dó ar leaba a thinnis agus déanfaidh a leigheas le linn a bhreoiteachta.
3 Jehová lo sustentará sobre el lecho del dolor: Mullirás toda su cama en su enfermedad.
3 Der HERR wird ihn erquicken auf seinem Siechbette; du hilfst ihm von aller Krankheit.
4 I said, Lord, have mercy on me; make my soul well, because my faith is in you.
4 (41:5) Je dis: Éternel, aie pitié de moi! Guéris mon âme! car j'ai péché contre toi.

5 My haters say evil against me, When will he be dead, and his name come to an end?
5 (41:6) Mes ennemis disent méchamment de moi: Quand mourra-t-il? quand périra son nom?

5 Mis enemigos dicen mal de mí preguntando: ¿Cuándo morirá, y perecerá su nombre?
5 Meine Feinde reden Arges gegen mich: "Wann wird er sterben und sein Name vergehen?"
6 If one comes to see me, deceit is in his heart; he keeps a store of evil, which he makes public in every place.
6 (41:7) Si quelqu'un vient me voir, il prend un langage faux, Il recueille des sujets de médire; Il s'en va, et il parle au dehors.
6 Tagann siad do m'fhéachaint le caradas bréige; scaipeann siad a mbréaga fúm amuigh le caint mhailíseach.
6 Y si venía á ver me, hablaba mentira: Su corazón se amontonaba iniquidad; Y salido fuera, hablába la.
6 Sie kommen, daß sie schauen, und meinen's doch nicht von Herzen; sondern suchen etwas, das sie lästern mögen, gehen hin und tragen's aus.
7 All my haters are talking secretly together against me; they are designing my downfall.
7 (41:8) Tous mes ennemis chuchotent entre eux contre moi; Ils pensent que mon malheur causera ma ruine:
7 Bíonn m'aos fuatha ag cogarnach le chéile i m'éadan; bíonn siad ag machnamh ina gcroí ar an tubaiste a bhain dom.
7 Reunidos murmuraban contra mí todos los que me aborrecían: Contra mí pensaban mal, diciendo de mí:
7 Alle, die mich hassen, raunen miteinander wider mich und denken Böses über mich.
8 They say, He has an evil disease, which will not let him go: and now that he is down he will not get up again.
8 (41:9) Il est dangereusement atteint, Le voilà couché, il ne se relèvera pas!
8 “Tháinig galar gáifeach air,” a deir siad le chéile, “an té a chuaigh a luí ní éireoidh sé choíche.”
8 Cosa pestilencial de él se ha apoderado; Y el que cayó en cama, no volverá á levantarse.
8 Sie haben ein Bubenstück über mich beschlossen: "Wenn er liegt, soll er nicht wieder aufstehen."
9 Even my dearest friend, in whom I had faith, who took bread with me, is turned against me.
9 (41:10) Celui-là même avec qui j'étais en paix, Qui avait ma confiance et qui mangeait mon pain, Lève le talon contre moi.
9 Fiú amháin mo chara cléibh as a mbíodh mo mhuinín agus a d'itheadh mo chuid aráin, nár iompaigh sé i m'éadan!
9 Aun el hombre de mi paz, en quien yo confiaba, el que de mi pan comía, Alzó contra mí el calcañar.
9 Auch mein Freund, dem ich mich vertraute, der mein Brot aß, tritt mich unter die Füße.
10 But you, O Lord, have mercy on me, lifting me up, so that I may give them their punishment.
10 (41:11) Toi, Éternel, aie pitié de moi et rétablis-moi! Et je leur rendrai ce qui leur est dû.
10 Ach tusa, a Thiarna, bíodh trua agat dom; déan mo thógáil arís go ndíolfaidh mé an comhar leo.
10 Mas tú, Jehová, ten misericordia de mí, y hazme levantar, Y daréles el pago.
10 Du aber, HERR, sei mir gnädig und hilf mir auf, so will ich sie bezahlen.
11 By this I see that you have pleasure in me, because my hater does not overcome me.
11 (41:12) Je connaîtrai que tu m'aimes, Si mon ennemi ne triomphe pas de moi.
11 Ansin beidh a fhios agam go bhfuil lé agat liom nuair nach ndéanfaidh m'eascairde a mbua a mhaíomh orm.
11 En esto habré conocido que te he agradado, Que mi enemigo no se holgará de mí.
11 Dabei merke ich, daß du Gefallen an mir hast, daß mein Feind über mich nicht jauchzen wird.
12 And as for me, you are my support in my righteousness, giving me a place before your face for ever.
12 (41:13) Tu m'as soutenu à cause de mon intégrité, Et tu m'as placé pour toujours en ta présence.
12 Má dhéanfaidh tú trua dom tabharfaidh tú slán mé agus cuirfidh tú i mo sheasamh i do láthair go brách mé.
12 En cuanto á mí, en mi integridad me has sustentado, Y me has hecho estar delante de ti para siempre.
12 Mich aber erhältst du um meiner Frömmigkeit willen und stellst mich vor dein Angesicht ewiglich.
13 May the Lord God of Israel be praised, through eternal days and for ever. So be it. So be it.
13 (41:14) Béni soit l'Éternel, le Dieu d'Israël, d'éternité en éternité! Amen! Amen!
