1 (34:1) De David. Lorsqu'il contrefit l'insensé en présence d'Abimélec, et qu'il s'en alla chassé par lui. (34:2) Je bénirai l'Éternel en tout temps; Sa louange sera toujours dans ma bouche.

1 BENDECIRÉ á Jehová en todo tiempo; Su alabanza será siempre en mi boca.
1 (Ein Psalm Davids, da er seine Gebärde verstellte vor Abimelech, als der ihn von sich trieb und er wegging.) Ich will den HERRN loben allezeit; sein Lob soll immerdar in meinem Munde sein.
2 My soul will say great things of the Lord: the poor in spirit will have knowledge of it and be glad.
2 (34:3) Que mon âme se glorifie en l'Éternel! Que les malheureux écoutent et se réjouissent!
2 Bíonn m'anam ag déanamh mórtais as an Tiarna: éistfidh daoine ísle agus beidh áthas orthu.
2 En Jehová se gloriará mi alma: Oiránlo los mansos, y se alegrarán.
2 Meine Seele soll sich rühmen des HERRN, daß es die Elenden hören und sich freuen.
3 O give praise to the Lord with me; let us be witnesses together of his great name.
3 (34:4) Exaltez avec moi l'Éternel! Célébrons tous son nom!

4 (34:5) J'ai cherché l'Éternel, et il m'a répondu; Il m'a délivré de toutes mes frayeurs.

5 Let your eyes be turned to him and you will have light, and your faces will not be shamed.
5 (34:6) Quand on tourne vers lui les regards, on est rayonnant de joie, Et le visage ne se couvre pas de honte.
5 Féachaigí chuige agus loinnir oraibh ‘s na bíodh luisne na náire in bhur leicne.
5 A él miraron y fueron alumbrados: Y sus rostros no se avergonzaron.
5 Welche auf ihn sehen, die werden erquickt, und ihr Angesicht wird nicht zu Schanden.
6 This poor man's cry came before the Lord, and he gave him salvation from all his troubles.
6 (34:7) Quand un malheureux crie, l'Éternel entend, Et il le sauve de toutes ses détresses.

6 Este pobre clamó, y oyóle Jehová, Y librólo de todas sus angustias.
6 Da dieser Elende rief, hörte der HERR und half ihm aus allen seinen Nöten.
7 The angel of the Lord is ever watching over those who have fear of him, to keep them safe.
7 (34:8) L'ange de l'Éternel campe autour de ceux qui le craignent, Et il les arrache au danger.
7 Bíonn aingeal an Tiarna i gcampa thart ar lucht a eaglaithe, á bhfuascailt.
7 El ángel de Jehová acampa en derredor de los que le temen, Y los defiende.
7 Der Engel des HERRN lagert sich um die her, so ihn fürchten, und hilft ihnen aus.
8 By experience you will see that the Lord is good; happy is the man who has faith in him.
8 (34:9) Sentez et voyez combien l'Éternel est bon! Heureux l'homme qui cherche en lui son refuge!

8 Gustad, y ved que es bueno Jehová: Dichoso el hombre que confiará en él.

9 Keep yourselves in the fear of the Lord, all you his saints; for those who do so will have no need of anything.
9 (34:10) Craignez l'Éternel, vous ses saints! Car rien ne manque à ceux qui le craignent.
9 A dhaoine naofa an Tiarna, bíodh a eagla oraibh; ní bhíonn díth ar an dream lenarb eagal é.
9 Temed á Jehová, vosotros sus santos; Porque no hay falta para los que le temen.
9 Fürchtet den HERRN, ihr seine Heiligen! denn die ihn fürchten, haben keinen Mangel.
10 The young lions are in need and have no food; but those who are looking to the Lord will have every good thing.
10 (34:11) Les lionceaux éprouvent la disette et la faim, Mais ceux qui cherchent l'Éternel ne sont privés d'aucun bien.
10 Bíonn easpa agus ocras ar leoin óga: ní bhíonn aon easpa ar lucht iarrtha an Tiarna.
10 Los leoncillos necesitaron, y tuvieron hambre; Pero los que buscan á Jehová, no tendrán falta de ningún bien.
10 Reiche müssen darben und hungern; aber die den HERRN suchen, haben keinen Mangel an irgend einem Gut.
11 Come, children, give attention to me; I will be your teacher in the fear of the Lord.
11 (34:12) Venez, mes fils, écoutez-moi! Je vous enseignerai la crainte de l'Éternel.
11 Téanaigí, a chlann ó, agus éistigí liom go múinfidh mé eagla an Tiarna daoibh.
11 Venid, hijos, oidme; El temor de Jehová os enseñaré.
11 Kommt her, Kinder, höret mir zu; ich will euch die Furcht des HERRN lehren:
12 What man has a love of life, and a desire that his days may be increased so that he may see good?
12 (34:13) Quel est l'homme qui aime la vie, Qui désire la prolonger pour jouir du bonheur?
12 Cé hé an duine a shantaíonn an bheatha? agus fad saoil faoi shéan is faoi shonas?
12 ¿Quién es el hombre que desea vida, Que codicia días para ver bien?
12 Wer ist, der Leben begehrt und gerne gute Tage hätte?
13 Keep your tongue from evil, and your lips from words of deceit.
13 (34:14) Préserve ta langue du mal, Et tes lèvres des paroles trompeuses;
13 Coinnigh do theanga ón olc agus do bhéal ó bhriathra éithigh.
13 Guarda tu lengua de mal, Y tus labios de hablar engaño.
13 Behüte deine Zunge vor Bösem und deine Lippen, daß sie nicht Trug reden.
14 Be turned from evil, and do good; make a search for peace, desiring it with all your heart.
14 (34:15) Éloigne-toi du mal, et fais le bien; Recherche et poursuis la paix.
14 Seachain an t‑olc agus déan an mhaith; bí ag lorg na síochána agus lean di.
14 Apártate del mal, y haz el bien; Busca la paz, y síguela.
14 Laß vom Bösen und tue Gutes; suche Frieden und jage ihm nach.
15 The eyes of the Lord are on the upright, and his ears are open to their cry.
15 (34:16) Les yeux de l'Éternel sont sur les justes, Et ses oreilles sont attentives à leurs cris.
15 Bíonn súile an Tiarna ar na fíréin agus tugann sé aird ar a n‑achainí.
15 Los ojos de Jehová están sobre los justos, Y atentos sus oídos al clamor de ellos.
15 Die Augen des HERRN merken auf die Gerechten und seine Ohren auf ihr Schreien;
16 The face of the Lord is against those who do evil, to take away the memory of them from the earth.
16 (34:17) L'Éternel tourne sa face contre les méchants, Pour retrancher de la terre leur souvenir.
16 Iompaíonn an Tiarna ó lucht déanta an oilc d'fhonn a gcuimhne a scriosadh den talamh.
16 La ira de Jehová contra los que mal hacen, Para cortar de la tierra la memoria de ellos.
16 das Antlitz aber des HERRN steht gegen die, so Böses tun, daß er ihr Gedächtnis ausrotte von der Erde.
17 The cry of the upright comes before the Lord, and he takes them out of all their troubles.
17 (34:18) Quand les justes crient, l'Éternel entend, Et il les délivre de toutes leurs détresses;
17 Éisteann an Tiarna nuair a ghlaonn na fíréin air: fuasclaíonn sé óna gcúngaigh go léir iad.
17 Clamaron los justos, y Jehová oyó, Y librólos de todas sus angustias.
17 Wenn die Gerechten schreien, so hört der HERR und errettet sie aus all ihrer Not.
18 The Lord is near the broken-hearted; he is the saviour of those whose spirits are crushed down.
18 (34:19) L'Éternel est près de ceux qui ont le coeur brisé, Et il sauve ceux qui ont l'esprit dans l'abattement.
18 Bíonn an Tiarna i ngar don lucht coscartha agus tarrthaíonn sé an dream atá do-mheanmnach.
18 Cercano está Jehová á los quebrantados de corazón; Y salvará á los contritos de espíritu.
18 Der HERR ist nahe bei denen, die zerbrochnes Herzens sind, und hilft denen, die ein zerschlagen Gemüt haben.
19 Great are the troubles of the upright: but the Lord takes him safely out of them all.
19 (34:20) Le malheur atteint souvent le juste, Mais l'Éternel l'en délivre toujours.

19 Muchos son los males del justo; Mas de todos ellos lo librará Jehová.
19 Der Gerechte muß viel Leiden; aber der HERR hilft ihm aus dem allem.
20 He keeps all his bones: not one of them is broken.
20 (34:21) Il garde tous ses os, Aucun d'eux n'est brisé.
20 cosnaíonn sé a chnámha go léir; ní bhrisfear oiread is aon cheann amháin acu.
20 El guarda todos sus huesos; Ni uno de ellos será quebrantado.
20 Er bewahrt ihm alle seine Gebeine, daß deren nicht eins zerbrochen wird.
21 Evil will put an end to the sinner, and those who are haters of righteousness will come to destruction.
21 (34:22) Le malheur tue le méchant, Et les ennemis du juste sont châtiés.
21 Tiománfaidh an t‑olc an t‑éagráifeach chun a bháis, agus daorfar lucht fuatha an fhíréin.
21 Matará al malo la maldad; Y los que aborrecen al justo serán asolados.
21 Den Gottlosen wird das Unglück töten; und die den Gerechten hassen, werden Schuld haben.
22 The Lord will be the saviour of the souls of his servants, and no one who has faith in him will be put to shame.
22 (34:23) L'Éternel délivre l'âme de ses serviteurs, Et tous ceux qui l'ont pour refuge échappent au châtiment.
