1 To the chief music-maker. A Psalm. Of David.The heavens are sounding the glory of God; the arch of the sky makes clear the work of his hands.
1 (19:1) Au chef des chantres. Psaume de David. (19:2) Les cieux racontent la gloire de Dieu, Et l'étendue manifeste l'oeuvre de ses mains.

1 (Ein Psalm Davids, vorzusingen.) Die Himmel erzählen die Ehre Gottes, und die Feste verkündigt seiner Hände Werk.
2 Day after day it sends out its word, and night after night it gives knowledge.
2 (19:3) Le jour en instruit un autre jour, La nuit en donne connaissance à une autre nuit.

3 There are no words or language; their voice makes no sound.
3 (19:4) Ce n'est pas un langage, ce ne sont pas des paroles Dont le son ne soit point entendu:

5 (19:6) Et le soleil, semblable à un époux qui sort de sa chambre, S'élance dans la carrière avec la joie d'un héros;

6 His going out is from the end of the heaven, and his circle to the ends of it; there is nothing which is not open to his heat.
6 (19:7) Il se lève à une extrémité des cieux, Et achève sa course à l'autre extrémité: Rien ne se dérobe à sa chaleur.

6 Del un cabo de los cielos es su salida, Y su giro hasta la extremidad de ellos: Y no hay quien se esconda de su calor.
6 Sie geht auf an einem Ende des Himmels und läuft um bis wieder an sein Ende, und bleibt nichts vor ihrer Hitze verborgen.
7 The law of the Lord is good, giving new life to the soul: the witness of the Lord is certain, giving wisdom to the foolish.
7 (19:8) La loi de l'Éternel est parfaite, elle restaure l'âme; Le témoignage de l'Éternel est véritable, il rend sage l'ignorant.

7 Das Gesetz des HERRN ist vollkommen und erquickt die Seele; das Zeugnis des HERRN ist gewiß und macht die Unverständigen weise.
8 The orders of the Lord are right, making glad the heart: the rule of the Lord is holy, giving light to the eyes.
8 (19:9) Les ordonnances de l'Éternel sont droites, elles réjouissent le coeur; Les commandements de l'Éternel sont purs, ils éclairent les yeux.

8 Los mandamientos de Jehová son rectos, que alegran el corazón: El precepto de Jehová, puro, que alumbra los ojos.
8 Die Befehle des HERRN sind richtig und erfreuen das Herz; die Gebote des HERRN sind lauter und erleuchten die Augen.
9 The fear of the Lord is clean, and has no end; the decisions of the Lord are true and full of righteousness.
9 (19:10) La crainte de l'Éternel est pure, elle subsiste à toujours; Les jugements de l'Éternel sont vrais, ils sont tous justes.

10 More to be desired are they than gold, even than much shining gold; sweeter than the dropping honey.
10 (19:11) Ils sont plus précieux que l'or, que beaucoup d'or fin; Ils sont plus doux que le miel, que celui qui coule des rayons.

10 Deseables son más que el oro, y más que mucho oro afinado; Y dulces más que miel, y que la que destila del panal.

11 By them is your servant made conscious of danger, and in keeping them there is great reward.
11 (19:12) Ton serviteur aussi en reçoit instruction; Pour qui les observe la récompense est grande.

11 Tu siervo es además amonestado con ellos: En guardarlos hay grande galardón.

12 (19:13) Qui connaît ses égarements? Pardonne-moi ceux que j'ignore.
12 Cé a fhéadfaidh a earráidí a aithint? ná leag orm mo pheacaí folaigh.
12 Los errores, ¿quién los entenderá? Líbrame de los que me son ocultos.
12 Wer kann merken, wie oft er fehlet? Verzeihe mir die verborgenen Fehle!
13 Keep your servant back from sins of pride; let them not have rule over me: then will I be upright and free from great sin.
13 (19:14) Préserve aussi ton serviteur des orgueilleux; Qu'ils ne dominent point sur moi! Alors je serai intègre, innocent de grands péchés.

13 Detén asimismo á tu siervo de las soberbias; Que no se enseñoreen de mí: Entonces seré íntegro, y estaré limpio de gran rebelión.
13 Bewahre auch deinen Knecht vor den Stolzen, daß sie nicht über mich herrschen, so werde ich ohne Tadel sein und unschuldig bleiben großer Missetat.
14 Let the words of my mouth and the thoughts of my heart be pleasing in your eyes, O Lord, my strength and my salvation.
14 (19:15) Reçois favorablement les paroles de ma bouche Et les sentiments de mon coeur, O Éternel, mon rocher et mon libérateur!
