Job 15

1 And Job made answer and said,

1 Job prit la parole et dit:

1 Ansin d'fhreagair Iób agus dúirt:

1 Y RESPONDIO Job, y dijo:

1 Hiob antwortete und sprach:

2 Such things have frequently come to my ears: you are comforters who only give trouble.

2 J'ai souvent entendu pareilles choses; Vous êtes tous des consolateurs fâcheux.

2 Nach minic a chuala mé a leithéid sin go léir cheana!

3 May words which are like the wind be stopped? or what is troubling you to make answer to them?

3 Quand finiront ces discours en l'air? Pourquoi cette irritation dans tes réponses?

3 An mbeidh deireadh le bladhgar briathar? Nó cad a ghoill ort gur fhreagair tú mé?

3 ¿Tendrán fin las palabras ventosas? O ¿qué te animará á responder?

3 Wollen die leeren Worte kein Ende haben? Oder was macht dich so frech, also zu reden?

4 It would not be hard for me to say such things if your souls were in my soul's place; joining words together against you, and shaking my head at you:

4 D'fhéadfainnse freisin labhairt mar thusa, Dá mbeadh d'anamsa in áit m'anamasa. An ndéanfainn thú a chiapadh le focail? Nó mo cheann a chroitheadh ort?

5 I might give you strength with my mouth, and not keep back the comfort of my lips.

6 If I say what is in my mind, my pain becomes no less: and if I keep quiet, how much of it goes from me?

7 But now he has overcome me with weariness and fear, and I am in the grip of all my trouble.

7 Maintenant, hélas! il m'a épuisé... Tu as ravagé toute ma maison;

7 Anois ghoin mo chara cumainn mé Agus ciapann mo chuideachta go léir mé.

7 Empero ahora me ha fatigado: Has tú asolado toda mi compañía.

8 It has come up as a witness against me, and the wasting of my flesh makes answer to my face.

8 D'éirigh sé mar fhinné i mo choinne, Mar chúlghearrthóir, ag tabhairt fianaise i m'aghaidh.

9 I am broken by his wrath, and his hate has gone after me; he has made his teeth sharp against me: my haters are looking on me with cruel eyes;

9 Il me déchire et me poursuit dans sa fureur, Il grince des dents contre moi, Il m'attaque et me perce de son regard.

9 Mhill a fhearg é, agus tugann sé fogha fúmsa; Tá a fhiacla á ndrannadh aige i m'aghaidh Agus tá mo naimhde ag stánadh orm.

10 Their mouths are open wide against me; the blows of his bitter words are falling on my face; all of them come together in a mass against me.

10 Ils ouvrent la bouche pour me dévorer, Ils m'insultent et me frappent les joues, Ils s'acharnent tous après moi.

10 Tá a mbéal ar leathadh acu i mo choinne Agus bhuail siad mé sa leiceann go fonóideach; Tá rith an rása leo i m'aghaidh.

11 God gives me over to the power of sinners, sending me violently into the hands of evil-doers.

11 Dieu me livre à la merci des impies, Il me précipite entre les mains des méchants.

11 Tá Dia do mo thabhairt suas don urchóideach, Agus do mo chaitheamh i lámha na gcoirpeach.

12 I was in comfort, but I have been broken up by his hands; he has taken me by the neck, shaking me to bits; he has put me up as a mark for his arrows.

12 J'étais tranquille, et il m'a secoué, Il m'a saisi par la nuque et m'a brisé, Il a tiré sur moi comme à un but.

12 Bhí mé ar mo shuaimhneas nó gur bhris sé ó chéile mé. Rug sé ar mhuineál orm agus rinne smionagar díom. Rinne sé a sprioc díom.

13 His bowmen come round about me; their arrows go through my body without mercy; my life is drained out on the earth.

13 Agus tá a urchair á gcaitheamh ar gach taobh díom. Goineann sé mé sna leasracha, gan trua gan taise; Tá mo dhomlas á dhoirteadh aige ar an talamh.

14 I am broken with wound after wound; he comes rushing on me like a man of war.

14 Briseann sé mé mant ar mhant, Agus tugann ruathar fúm mar a dhéanfadh laoch.

15 I have made haircloth the clothing of my skin, and my horn is rolled in the dust.

16 My face is red with weeping, and my eyes are becoming dark;

17 Though my hands have done no violent acts, and my prayer is clean.

17 Cé nach bhfuil an lámh láidir ag roinnt liom, Agus gur íon í mo phaidir.

18 O earth, let not my blood be covered, and let my cry have no resting-place!

18 Ná clúdaigh m'fhuil, a chré, Agus ná bíodh áit suaimhnis ag m'olagón.

18 ¡Oh tierra! no cubras mi sangre, Y no haya lugar á mi clamor.

19 Even now my witness is in heaven, and the supporter of my cause is on high.

20 My friends make sport of me; to God my eyes are weeping,

20 Sé mo ghlao chun Dé is abhcóide agam; Ritheann na deora ó mo shúile ina láthair.

21 So that he may give decision for a man in his cause with God, and between a son of man and his neighbour.

21 Déanann sé cás duine a thagairt i láthair Dé Mar a dhéanfadh mac an duine ar son a chomharsan.

22 For in a short time I will take the journey from which I will not come back.

22 Óir tá blianta mo shaoil arna n‑áireamh, Agus is gearr go ndéanfaidh mé imeacht gan teacht.
