Job 7

1 Then Bildad the Shuhite made answer and said,

1 Y RESPONDIO Bildad Suhita, y dijo:

1 Da antwortete Bildad von Suah und sprach:

2 How long will you say these things, and how long will the words of your mouth be like a strong wind?

2 An rachaidh aon stad ar an gcaint sin agat? Agus ar an ngaoth mhór sin ó do chlab?

3 Does God give wrong decisions? or is the Ruler of all not upright in his judging?

3 Dieu renverserait-il le droit? Le Tout Puissant renverserait-il la justice?

3 An gclaonann Dia an ceart? An bhfiarann an tUilechumhachtach an chóir?

4 If your children have done evil against him, then their punishment is from his hand.

4 Má pheacaigh do chlann ina aghaidh Thug sé suas faoi smacht a gcoirpeachta iad.

5 If you will make search for God with care, and put your request before the Ruler of all;

5 Mais toi, si tu as recours à Dieu, Si tu implores le Tout Puissant;

5 Má théann tú faoi choimirce Dé, Agus achainí a dhéanamh chuig an Uilechumhachtach,

5 Si tú de mañana buscares á Dios, Y rogares al Todopoderoso;

6 If you are clean and upright; then he will certainly be moved to take up your cause, and will make clear your righteousness by building up your house again.

6 Si tu es juste et droit, Certainement alors il veillera sur toi, Et rendra le bonheur à ton innocente demeure;

6 Má bhíonn tú íon ionraic, Ansin músclóidh sé ar do shon, Agus deiseoidh sé áitreabh d'fhíréantachta.

6 und so du rein und fromm bist, so wird er aufwachen zu dir und wird wieder aufrichten deine Wohnung um deiner Gerechtigkeit willen;

7 And though your start was small, your end will be very great.

7 Is íseal a thaibhseoidh do staid ó chiana duit, Agus is mór a bheidh do chonách níos déanaí.

7 und was du zuerst wenig gehabt hast, wird hernach gar sehr zunehmen.

8 Put the question now to the past generations, and give attention to what has been searched out by their fathers:

8 Cuir ceist ar an nglúin a d'imigh romhat, Agus tabhair aird ar sheanchas a sinsear -

8 Porque pregunta ahora á la edad pasada, Y disponte para inquirir de sus padres de ellos;

8 Denn frage die vorigen Geschlechter und merke auf das, was ihr Väter erforscht haben;

9 (For we are but of yesterday, and have no knowledge, because our days on earth are gone like a shade:)

10 Will they not give you teaching, and say words of wisdom to you?

10 Nach ndéanfaidh siadsan thú a theagasc agus labhairt leat, Agus briathra mar seo á rá ó chroí:

11 Will the river-plant come up in its pride without wet earth? will the grass get tall without water?

11 Le jonc croît-il sans marais? Le roseau croît-il sans humidité?

11 An bhfásann an phaipir gan bhogach? An mbláthaíonn geitirí gan uisce?

12 When it is still green, without being cut down, it becomes dry and dead before any other plant.

12 Staith iad agus iad fós i mbarr a nglaise, Mar is túisce a fheonn siad ná aon lusra.

13 So is the end of all who do not keep God in mind; and the hope of the evil-doer comes to nothing:

14 Whose support is cut off, and whose hope is no stronger than a spider's thread.

15 He is looking to his family for support, but it is not there; he puts his hope in it, but it comes to nothing.

16 He is full of strength before the sun, and his branches go out over his garden.

16 Bláthaíonn sé mar phlanda faoin ngréin, Agus sceitheann a phéacaí ar fud a luibhghoirt.

16 A manera de un árbol, está verde delante del sol, Y sus renuevos salen sobre su huerto;

17 His roots are twisted round the stones, forcing their way in between them.

17 Il entrelace ses racines parmi les pierres, Il pénètre jusque dans les murailles;

17 Ach tá a fhréamha in achrann i gcarnán cloch, Agus tá [cónaí air] i measc na gcarraigeacha.

18 If he is taken away from his place, then it will say, I have not seen you.

18 L'arrache-t-on du lieu qu'il occupe, Ce lieu le renie: Je ne t'ai point connu!

18 Fuadaigh as a leaba é, Agus séanfaidh sin go bhfaca sí riamh é.

19 Such is the joy of his way, and out of the dust another comes up to take his place.

19 Tiormaíonn [an ghrian] é, féach, Agus fásfaidh a thuilleadh ón talamh.

20 Truly, God will not give up him who is without sin, and will not take evil-doers by the hand.

20 Ar ndóigh ní dhiúltaíonn Dia don fhíréan, Ná ní thugann lámh chúnta do choirpigh.

21 The time will come when your mouth will be full of laughing, and cries of joy will come from your lips.

21 Beidh cár gáire ort athuair Agus beidh lúcháir ar do bheola.

22 Your haters will be clothed with shame, and the tent of the sinner will not be seen again.

22 Beidh náire mar bhrat ar lucht d'fhuatha Agus rachaidh both na gcoirpeach ar ceal.
