1 That day the king gave all the family of Haman, the hater of the Jews, to Esther the queen. And Mordecai came before the king, for Esther had made clear what he was to her.
1 En ce même jour, le roi Assuérus donna à la reine Esther la maison d'Haman, l'ennemi des Juifs; et Mardochée parut devant le roi, car Esther avait fait connaître la parenté qui l'unissait à elle.
1 An lá ceannann céanna thug an rí Aisiuéaróis teach Hámán, géarleantóir na nGiúdach, don bhanríon Eistir. Agus tháinig Mordacaí i láthair an rí mar chuir Eistir in iúl don rí cén gaol a bhí eatarthu.
1 EL MISMO día dió el rey Assuero á la reina Esther la casa de Amán enemigo de los Judíos; y Mardochêo vino delante del rey, porque Esther le declaró lo que era respecto de ella.
1 An dem Tage gab der König Ahasveros der Königin Esther das Haus Hamans, des Judenfeindes. Und Mardochai kam vor den König; denn Esther sagte an, wie er ihr zugehörte.
2 And the king took off his ring, which he had taken from Haman, and gave it to Mordecai. And Esther put Mordecai over the family of Haman.
2 Le roi ôta son anneau, qu'il avait repris à Haman, et le donna à Mardochée; Esther, de son côté, établit Mardochée sur la maison d'Haman.
2 An fáinne séala a thug an rí do Hámán, bhain sé de arís é, agus thug é do Mhordacaí, agus chuir Eistir Mordacaí i gceannas ar theach Hámán.
2 Y quitóse el rey su anillo que había vuelto á tomar de Aman, y diólo á Mardochêo. Y Esther puso á Mardochêo sobre la casa de Amán.
2 Und der König tat ab von seinem Fingerreif, den er von Haman hatte genommen, und gab ihn Mardochai. Und Esther setzte Mardochai über das Haus Hamans.
3 Then Esther again came before the king, falling down at his feet, and made request to him with weeping, that he would put a stop to the evil purposes of Haman the Agagite and the designs which he had made against the Jews.
3 Puis Esther parla de nouveau en présence du roi. Elle se jeta à ses pieds, elle pleura, elle le supplia d'empêcher les effets de la méchanceté d'Haman, l'Agaguite, et la réussite de ses projets contre les Juifs.
3 Ansin labhair Eistir arís leis an rí. Chaith sí í féin ag a chosa á impí air go géar goirt deorach an t-olc a bheartaigh Hámán agus a scéim urchóideach in aghaidh na nGiúdach a chur ar ceal.
3 Volvió luego Esther á hablar delante del rey, y echóse á sus pies, llorando y rogándole que hiciese nula la maldad de Amán Agageo, y su designio que había formado contra los Judíos.
3 Und Esther redete weiter vor dem König und fiel ihm zu den Füßen und weinte und flehte ihn an, daß er zunichte machte die Bosheit Hamans, des Agagiters, und seine Anschläge, die er wider die Juden erdacht hatte.
4 Then the king put out the rod of gold to Esther, and she got up before the king.
4 Le roi tendit le sceptre d'or à Esther, qui se releva et resta debout devant le roi.
4 Shín an rí an tslat ríoga óir chuig Eistir,
4 Entonces extendió el rey á Esther el cetro de oro, y Esther se levantó, y púsose en pie delante del rey.
4 Und der König reckte das goldene Zepter gegen Esther. Da stand Esther auf und trat vor den König
5 And she said, If it is the king's pleasure and if I have his approval and this thing seems right to the king and I am pleasing to him, then let letters be sent giving orders against those which Haman, the son of Hammedatha the Agagite, sent out for the destruction of the Jews in all divisions of the kingdom:
5 Elle dit alors: Si le roi le trouve bon et si j'ai trouvé grâce devant lui, si la chose paraît convenable au roi et si je suis agréable à ses yeux, qu'on écrive pour révoquer les lettres conçues par Haman, fils d'Hammedatha, l'Agaguite, et écrites par lui dans le but de faire périr les Juifs qui sont dans toutes les provinces du roi.
5 agus d'éirigh sí agus sheas os comhair an rí: “Más toil leis an rí é agus má tá lé aige liom, más ceart é m'iarratas dar leis, agus más gean leis mé, deonaíodh sé ordú a chur ar phár ag aisghairm na litreacha a chum Hámán mac Hamadátá, an tAgágach, d'fhonn na Giúdaigh go léir a dhíothú i ngach cúige de chúigí an rí.
5 Y dijo: Si place al rey, y si he hallado gracia delante de el, y si la cosa es recta delante del rey, y agradable yo en sus ojos, sea escrito para revocar las letras del designio de Amán hijo de Amadatha Agageo, que escribió para destruir á los Judíos que están en todas las provincias del rey.
5 und sprach: Gefällt es dem König und habe ich Gnade gefunden vor ihm und ist's gelegen dem König und ich gefalle ihm, so schreibe man, daß die Briefe Hamans, des Sohnes Hammedathas, des Agagiters, widerrufen werden, die er geschrieben hat, die Juden umzubringen in allen Landen des Königs.
6 For how is it possible for me to see the evil which is to overtake my nation? how may I see the destruction of my people?
6 Car comment pourrais-je voir le malheur qui atteindrait mon peuple, et comment pourrais-je voir la destruction de ma race?
6 Mar conas a d'fhéadfainn a bheith ag faire ar an olc agus ar an urchóid go léir atá i ndán do mo mhuintir? Conas a thiocfadh liom a bheith ag faire ar mo chine á ndíothú?”
6 Porque ¿cómo podré yo ver el mal que alcanzará á mi pueblo? ¿cómo podré yo ver la destrucción de mi nación?
6 Denn wie kann ich zusehen dem Übel, das mein Volk treffen würde? Und wie kann ich zusehen, daß mein Geschlecht umkomme?
7 Then King Ahasuerus said to Esther the queen and to Mordecai the Jew, See now, I have given Esther the family of Haman, and he has come to his death by hanging, because he made an attack on the Jews.
7 Le roi Assuérus dit à la reine Esther et au Juif Mardochée: Voici, j'ai donné à Esther la maison d'Haman, et il a été pendu au bois pour avoir étendu la main contre les Juifs.
7 Ansin dúirt an rí Aisiuéaróis leis an mbanríon Eistir agus le Mordacaí an Giúdach: “Féach! thug mé teach Hámán d'Eistir, agus crochadh é féin ar an gcroch de bhrí gur bheartaigh sé lámha a leagan ar na Giúdaigh.
7 Y respondió el rey Assuero á la reina Esther, y á Mardochêo Judío: He aquí yo he dado á Esther la casa de Amán, y á él han colgado en la horca, por cuanto extendió su mano contra los Judíos.
7 Da sprach der König Ahasveros zur Königin Esther und zu Mardochai, dem Juden: Siehe, ich habe Esther das Haus Hamans gegeben, und ihn hat man an einen Baum gehängt, darum daß er seine Hand hat an die Juden gelegt;
8 So now send a letter about the Jews, writing whatever seems good to you, in the king's name, and stamping it with the king's ring: for a writing signed in the king's name and stamped with the king's ring may not be changed.
8 Écrivez donc en faveur des Juifs comme il vous plaira, au nom du roi, et scellez avec l'anneau du roi; car une lettre écrite au nom du roi et scellée avec l'anneau du roi ne peut être révoquée.
8 Scríobhaigí mar is rogha libh i dtaobh na nGiúdach, in ainm an rí, agus cuirigí séala ar an scríbhinn le fáinne an rí; óir ní féidir ordú scríofa in ainm an rí agus seálaithe le fáinne an rí a chur ar ceal.”
8 Escribid pues vosotros á los Judíos como bien os pareciere en el nombre del rey, y sellad lo con el anillo del rey; porque la escritura que se sella con el anillo del rey, no es para revocarla.
8 so schreibt ihr nun für die Juden, wie es euch gefällt, in des Königs Namen und versiegelt's mit des Königs Ringe. Denn die Schriften, die in des Königs Namen geschrieben und mit des Königs Ring versiegelt wurden, durfte niemand widerrufen.
9 Then at that time, on the twenty-third day of the third month, which is the month Sivan, the king's scribes were sent for; and everything ordered by Mordecai was put in writing and sent to the Jews and the captains and the rulers and the chiefs of all the divisions of the kingdom from India to Ethiopia, a hundred and twenty-seven divisions, to every division in the writing commonly used there, and to every people in their language, and to the Jews in their writing and their language.
9 Les secrétaires du roi furent appelés en ce temps, le vingt-troisième jour du troisième mois, qui est le mois de Sivan, et l'on écrivit, suivant tout ce qui fut ordonné par Mardochée, aux Juifs, aux satrapes, aux gouverneurs et aux chefs des cent vingt-sept provinces situées de l'Inde à l'Éthiopie, à chaque province selon son écriture, à chaque peuple selon sa langue, et aux Juifs selon leur écriture et selon leur langue.
9 Cuireadh fios ar scríobhaithe an rí ar an toirt - ba é an tríú mí é, mí Síveán, agus an tríú lá fichead den mhí - agus scríobhadh orduithe de réir mar a dheachtaigh Mordacaí, do na Giúdaigh, do na cúigigh, do na gobharnóirí agus do lucht ceannais na gcúigí go léir ón Ind go dtí an Aetóip - céad fiche a seacht gcúige - do gach cúige ina scríbhinn féin, agus do gach cine ina theanga féin, agus do na Giúdaigh ina scríbhinn agus ina dteanga féin.
9 Entonces fueron llamados los escribanos del rey en el mes tercero, que es Siván, á veintitrés del mismo; y escribióse conforme á todo lo que mandó Mardochêo, á los Judíos, y á los sátrapas, y á los capitanes, y á los príncipes de las provincias que había desde la India hasta la Ethiopía, ciento veintisiete provincias; á cada provincia según su escribir, y á cada pueblo conforme á su lengua, á los Judíos también conforme á su escritura y lengua.
9 Da wurden berufen des Königs Schreiber zu der Zeit im dritten Monat, das ist der Monat Sivan, am dreiundzwanzigsten Tage, und wurde geschrieben, wie Mardochai gebot, an die Juden und an die Fürsten, Landpfleger und Hauptleute in den Landen von Indien bis an das Mohrenland, nämlich hundert und siebenundzwanzig Länder, einem jeglichen Lande nach seiner Schrift, einem jeglichen Volk nach seiner Sprache, und den Juden nach ihrer Schrift und Sprache.
10 The letters were sent in the name of King Ahasuerus and stamped with his ring, and they were taken by men on horseback, going on the quick-running horses used for the king's business, the offspring of his best horses:
10 On écrivit au nom du roi Assuérus, et l'on scella avec l'anneau du roi. On envoya les lettres par des courriers ayant pour montures des chevaux et des mulets nés de juments.
10 Bhí na horduithe scríofa in ainm an rí Aisiuéaróis agus séalaithe le fáinne an rí, agus seoladh iad le heachlaigh ar muin each ó ghraíonna an rí féin.
10 Y escribió en nombre del rey Assuero, y selló con el anillo del rey, y envió letras por correos de á caballo, montados en dromedarios, y en mulos hijos de yeguas;
10 Und es war geschrieben in des Königs Ahasveros Namen und mit des Königs Ring versiegelt. Und er sandte die Briefe durch die reitenden Boten auf jungen Maultieren,
11 In these letters the king gave authority to the Jews in every town to come together and make a fight for their lives, and to send death and destruction on the power of any people in any part of the kingdom attacking them or their children or their women, and to take their goods from them by force,
11 Par ces lettres, le roi donnait aux Juifs, en quelque ville qu'ils fussent, la permission de se rassembler et de défendre leur vie, de détruire, de tuer et de faire périr, avec leurs petits enfants et leurs femmes, tous ceux de chaque peuple et de chaque province qui prendraient les armes pour les attaquer, et de livrer leurs biens au pillage,
11 Cheadaigh an rí do na Giúdaigh de réir na n-orduithe sin, cibé cathair ina raibh cónaí orthu, cruinniú le chéile chun iad féin a chosaint, agus aon fhórsa armtha ó aon chine nó ó aon chúige a dhéanfadh ionsaí orthu a dhíothú agus a scrios agus a mhilleadh, mná agus leanaí agus uile, agus a maoin a chreachadh;
11 Con intimación de que el rey concedía á los Judíos que estaban en todas la ciudades, que se juntasen y estuviesen á la defensa de su vida, prontos á destruir, y matar, y acabar con todo ejército de pueblo o provincia que viniese contra ellos, aun niños y mujeres, y su despojo para presa,
11 darin der König den Juden Macht gab, in welchen Städten sie auch waren, sich zu versammeln und zu stehen für ihr Leben und zu vertilgen, zu erwürgen und umzubringen alle Macht des Volkes und Landes, die sie ängsteten, samt den Kindern und Weibern, und ihr Gut zu rauben
12 On one day in every division of the kingdom of Ahasuerus, that is, on the thirteenth day of the twelfth month, the month Adar.
12 et cela en un seul jour, dans toutes les provinces du roi Assuérus, le treizième du douzième mois, qui est le mois d'Adar.
12 bhí feidhm leis na horduithe ón lá céanna ar fud cúigí an rí Aisiuéaróis ar fad an tríú lá déag den dara mí déag, mí Adár is é sin. Is minic mórán do lucht an údaráis freagrach a bheag nó a mhór i bhfuil neamhchiontach a dhoirteadh agus páirteach i dtubaistí doleigheasta, mar gur chuir siad a ngnóthaí i gcúram a gcairde agus gur ghéill siad dá gcomhairle- sean; mar go meallann an dream úd dea-thoil an lucht ceannais leis na hargóintí cealgacha a shníonn ó íochtar a gcoirpeachta. 12 En un mismo día en todas las provincias del rey Assuero, en el trece del mes duodécimo, que es el mes de Adar.
12 auf einen Tag in allen Ländern des Königs Ahasveros, nämlich am dreizehnten Tage des zwölften Monats, das ist der Monat Adar.
13 A copy of the writing, to be made public as an order in every division of the kingdom, was given out to all the peoples, so that the Jews might be ready when that day came to give punishment to their haters.
13 Ces lettres renfermaient une copie de l'édit qui devait être publié dans chaque province, et informaient tous les peuples que les Juifs se tiendraient prêts pour ce jour-là à se venger de leurs ennemis.
13 Bhí cóip den reacht sin le foilsiú mar dhlí i ngach cúige, agus fograíodh é do na ciníocha go léir, i dtreo go mbeadh na Giúdaigh ullamh, an lá a bhí ceaptha, le díoltas a imirt ar a naimhde.
13 La copia de la escritura que había de darse por ordenanza en cada provincia, para que fuese manifiesta á todos los pueblos, decía que los Judíos estuviesen apercibidos para aquel día, para vengarse de sus enemigos.
13 Der Inhalt aber der Schrift war, daß ein Gebot gegeben wäre in allen Landen, zu eröffnen allen Völkern, daß die Juden bereit sein sollten, sich zu rächen an ihren Feinden.
14 So the men went out on the quick-running horses used on the king's business, wasting no time and forced on by the king's order; and the order was given out in Shushan, the king's town.
14 Les courriers, montés sur des chevaux et des mulets, partirent aussitôt et en toute hâte, d'après l'ordre du roi. L'édit fut aussi publié dans Suse, la capitale.
14 Chuir na heachlaigh chun bealaigh ar mhuin each, a bhíodh in usaid i seirbhís an rí, le teann deabhaidh agus luais ar ordú an rí. Foilsíodh an reacht freisin i ndúnfort Shúsa.
14 Los correos pues, cabalgando en dromedarios y en mulos, salieron apresurados y constreñidos por el mandamiento del rey: y la ley fué dada en Susán capital del reino.
14 Und die reitenden Boten auf den Maultieren ritten aus schnell und eilend nach dem Wort des Königs, und das Gebot ward zu Schloß Susan angeschlagen.
15 And Mordecai went out from before the king, dressed in king-like robes of blue and white, and with a great crown of gold and clothing of purple and the best linen: and all the town of Shushan gave loud cries of joy.
15 Mardochée sortit de chez le roi, avec un vêtement royal bleu et blanc, une grande couronne d'or, et un manteau de byssus et de pourpre. La ville de Suse poussait des cris et se réjouissait.
15 Ghabh Mordacaí amach ó láthair an rí agus é feistithe i rífhallaing de ghorm is bán, le coróin mhór óir ar a cheann, agus brat de línéadach mín corcra uime; chuir cathair Shúsa na gártha áthais suas.
15 Y salió Mardochêo de delante del rey con vestido real de cárdeno y blanco, y una gran corona de oro, y un manto de lino y púrpura: y la ciudad de Susán se alegró y regocijó.
15 Mardochai aber ging aus von dem König in königlichen Kleidern, blau und weiß, und mit einer großen goldenen Krone, angetan mit einem Leinen-und Purpur-mantel; und die Stadt Susan jauchzte und war fröhlich.
16 And the Jews had light and joy and honour.
16 Il n'y avait pour les Juifs que bonheur et joie, allégresse et gloire.
16 Bhí na Giúdaigh faoi ghile agus áthas, faoi aiteas agus faoi onóir.
16 Los Judíos tuvieron luz y alegría, y gozo y honra.
16 Den Juden aber war Licht und Freude und Wonne und Ehre gekommen.
17 And in every part of the kingdom and in every town, wherever the king's letter and his order came, the Jews were glad with great joy, and had a feast and a good day. And a great number of the people of the land became Jews: for the fear of the Jews had come on them.
17 Dans chaque province et dans chaque ville, partout où arrivaient l'ordre du roi et son édit, il y eut parmi les Juifs de la joie et de l'allégresse, des festins et des fêtes. Et beaucoup de gens d'entre les peuples du pays se firent Juifs, car la crainte des Juifs les avait saisis.
