1 That night the king was unable to get any sleep; and he sent for the books of the records; and while some one was reading them to the king,

1 AQUELLA noche se le fué el sueño al rey, y dijo que le trajesen el libro de las memorias de las cosas de los tiempos: y leyéronlas delante del rey.
1 In derselben Nacht konnte der König nicht schlafen und hieß die Chronik mit den Historien bringen. Da die wurden vor dem König gelesen,
2 It came out that it was recorded in the book how Mordecai had given word of the designs of Bigthana and Teresh, two of the king's servants, keepers of the door, by whom an attack on the king had been designed.
2 et l'on trouva écrit ce que Mardochée avait révélé au sujet de Bigthan et de Théresch, les deux eunuques du roi, gardes du seuil, qui avaient voulu porter la main sur le roi Assuérus.
2 Agus fuarthas scríofa ann conas mar a sceith Mordacaí ar Bhigteán agus ar Theiris, beirt de choillteáin an rí a bhí i bhfeighil an dorais, agus a bheartaigh lámha a leagan ar an rí Aisiuéaróis.
2 Y hallóse escrito que Mardochêo había denunciado de Bigthan y de Teres, dos eunucos del rey, de la guarda de la puerta, que habían procurado meter mano en el rey Assuero.
2 fand sich's geschrieben, wie Mardochai hatte angesagt, daß die zwei Kämmerer des Königs, Bigthan und Theres, die an der Schwelle hüteten, getrachtet hätten, die Hand an den König Ahasveros zu legen.
3 And the king said, What honour and reward have been given to Mordecai for this? Then the servants who were waiting on the king said, Nothing has been done for him.
3 Le roi dit: Quelle marque de distinction et d'honneur Mardochée a-t-il reçue pour cela? Il n'a rien reçu, répondirent ceux qui servaient le roi.
3 “Cén gradam nó cén chéim a bronnadh ar Mhordacaí dá bharrsan?” d'fhiafraigh an rí. D'fhreagair na feidhmeannaigh a bhí ag freastal air: “Ní dhearnadh aon ní ar a shon.”
3 Y dijo el rey: ¿Qué honra ó que distinción se hizo á Mardochêo por esto? Y respondieron los servidores del rey, sus oficiales: Nada se ha hecho con él.
3 Und der König sprach: Was haben wir Mardochai Ehre und Gutes dafür getan? Da sprachen die Diener des Königs, die ihm dienten: Es ist ihm nichts geschehen.
4 Then the king said, Who is in the outer room? Now Haman had come into the outer room to get the king's authority for the hanging of Mordecai on the pillar which he had made ready for him.
4 Alors le roi dit: Qui est dans la cour? -Haman était venu dans la cour extérieure de la maison du roi, pour demander au roi de faire pendre Mardochée au bois qu'il avait préparé pour lui. -
4 Ansin d'fhiafraigh an rí: “Cé tá ar dualgas sa chúirt?” Bhí Hámán faoin am sin tagtha isteach i gcúirt sheachtrach phálás an rí le hiarraidh ar an rí Mordacaí a chrochadh ar an gcroch a bhí gleasta aige féin dó.
4 Entonces dijo el rey: ¿Quién está en el patio? Y Amán había venido al patio de afuera de la casa del rey, para decir al rey que hiciese colgar á Mardochêo en la horca que él le tenía preparada.
4 Und der König sprach: Wer ist im Hofe? Haman aber war in den Hof gegangen, draußen vor des Königs Hause, daß er dem König sagte, Mardochai zu hängen an den Baum, den er zubereitet hatte.
5 And the king's servants said to him, See, Haman is waiting in the outer room. And the king said, Let him come in.
5 Les serviteurs du roi lui répondirent: C'est Haman qui se tient dans la cour. Et le roi dit: Qu'il entre.
5 D'fhreagair feidhmeannaigh an rí: “Tá Hámán ina sheasamh amuigh sa chúirt.” “Tugaigí isteach é!” arsan rí.
5 Y los servidores del rey le respondieron: He aquí Amán está en el patio. Y el rey dijo: Entre.
5 Und des Königs Diener sprachen zu ihm: Siehe, Haman steht im Hofe. Der König sprach: Laßt ihn hereingehen!
6 So Haman came in. And the king said to him, What is to be done to the man whom the king has delight in honouring? Then the thought came into Haman's mind, Whom, more than myself, would the king have pleasure in honouring?
6 Haman entra, et le roi lui dit: Que faut-il faire pour un homme que le roi veut honorer? Haman se dit en lui-même: Quel autre que moi le roi voudrait-il honorer?
6 Tháinig Hámán isteach, más ea, agus dúirt an rí leis: “Céard ba chóir a dhéanamh leis an té ar mian leis an rí onóir a thabhairt do?” “Cé eile ach mise,” arsa Hámán leis féin, “ar mhian leis an rí onóir a thabhairt dó?”
6 Entró pues Amán, y el rey le dijo: ¿Qué se hará al hombre cuya honra desea el rey? Y dijo Amán en su corazón: ¿A quién deseará el rey hacer honra más que á mí?
6 Und da Haman hineinkam, sprach der König zu ihm: Was soll man dem Mann tun, den der König gerne wollte ehren? Haman aber gedachte in seinem Herzen: Wem sollte der König anders gern wollen Ehre tun denn mir?
7 And Haman, answering the king, said, For the man whom the king has delight in honouring,
7 Et Haman répondit au roi: Pour un homme que le roi veut honorer,
7 Agus thug sé freagra dá réir sin ar an rí: “Más mian leis an rí onóir a thabhairt do dhuine,
7 Y respondió Amán al rey: Al varón cuya honra desea el rey,
7 Und Haman sprach zum König: Dem Mann, den der König gerne wollte ehren,
8 Let them take the robes which the king generally puts on, and the horse on which the king goes, and the crown which is on his head:
8 il faut prendre le vêtement royal dont le roi se couvre et le cheval que le roi monte et sur la tête duquel se pose une couronne royale,
8 cuirtear fios ar éide ríoga a chaith an rí agus ar each a bhí faoin rí leis an ornáid ríoga ar a cheann;
8 Traigan el vestido real de que el rey se viste, y el caballo en que el rey cabalga, y la corona real que está puesta en su cabeza;
8 soll man königliche Kleider bringen, die der König pflegt zu tragen, und ein Roß, darauf der König reitet, und soll eine königliche Krone auf sein Haupt setzen;
9 And let the robes and the horse be given to one of the king's most noble captains, so that they may put them on the man whom the king has delight in honouring, and let him go on horseback through the streets of the town, with men crying out before him, So let it be done to the man whom the king has delight in honouring.
9 remettre le vêtement et le cheval à l'un des principaux chefs du roi, puis revêtir l'homme que le roi veut honorer, le promener à cheval à travers la place de la ville, et crier devant lui: C'est ainsi que l'on fait à l'homme que le roi veut honorer!
9 agus tugtar an éide ríoga agus an t‑each i lámha duine de na flatha is uaisle de mhuintir an rí; agus cóiríodh seisean an té is mian leis an rí a onórú agus seoladh sé ar mhuin an eich é trí fhaiche na cathrach agus fógra á thabhairt roimhe: ‘Seo mar a dhéanfar leis an té ar mian leis an rí é a onórú!’ ”
9 Y den el vestido y el caballo en mano de alguno de los príncipes más nobles del rey, y vistan á aquel varón cuya honra desea el rey, y llévenlo en el caballo por la plaza de la ciudad, y pregonen delante de él: Así se hará al varón cuya honra desea el rey.
9 und man soll solch Kleid und Roß geben in die Hand eines Fürsten des Königs, daß derselbe den Mann anziehe, den der König gern ehren wollte, und führe ihn auf dem Roß in der Stadt Gassen und lasse rufen vor ihm her: So wird man tun dem Mann, den der König gerne ehren will.
10 Then the king said to Haman, Go quickly, and take the robes and the horse, as you have said, and do even so to Mordecai the Jew, who is seated at the king's doorway: see that you do everything as you have said.
10 Le roi dit à Haman: Prends tout de suite le vêtement et le cheval, comme tu l'as dit, et fais ainsi pour Mardochée, le Juif, qui est assis à la porte du roi; ne néglige rien de tout ce que tu as mentionné.
10 Ansin dúirt an rí le Hámán: “Déan deifir más ea anois agus beir leat an éide agus an t‑each, mar a dúirt tú, agus déan díreach mar a dúirt tú le Mordacaí an Giúdach a shuíonn ag geata an rí. Ná déan faillí in aon ní dá ndúirt tú.”
10 Entonces el rey dijo á Amán: Date priesa, toma el vestido y el caballo, como tú has dicho, y hazlo así con el judío Mardochêo, que se sienta á la puerta del rey; no omitas nada de todo lo que has dicho.
10 Der König sprach zu Haman: Eile und nimm das Kleid und Roß, wie du gesagt hast, und tu also mit Mardochai, dem Juden, der vor dem Tor des Königs sitzt; und laß nichts fehlen an allem, was du geredet hast!
11 Then Haman took the robes and the horse, and dressing Mordecai in the robes, he made him go on horseback through the streets of the town, crying out before him, So let it be done to the man whom the king has delight in honouring.
11 Et Haman prit le vêtement et le cheval, il revêtit Mardochée, il le promena à cheval à travers la place de la ville, et il cria devant lui: C'est ainsi que l'on fait à l'homme que le roi veut honorer!
11 Fuair Hámán an éide agus an t‑each dá bhrí sin, ghléas sé Mordacaí agus sheol sé ar mhuin an eich é, trí fhaiche na cathrach agus é á fhógairt roimhe: “Seo mar a dhéanfar leis an té ar mian leis an rí é a onórú!”
11 Y Amán tomó el vestido y el caballo, y vistió á Mardochêo, y llevólo á caballo por la plaza de la ciudad, é hizo pregonar delante de él: Así se hará al varón cuya honra desea el rey.
11 Da nahm Haman das Kleid und Roß und zog Mardochai an und führte ihn auf der Stadt Gassen und rief vor ihm her: So wird man tun dem Mann, den der König gerne ehren will.
12 And Mordecai came back to the king's doorway. But Haman went quickly back to his house, sad and with his head covered.
12 Mardochée retourna à la porte du roi, et Haman se rendit en hâte chez lui, désolé et la tête voilée.
12 D'fhill Mordacaí ar gheata an rí ansin, ach bhrostaigh Hámán abhaile, brat ar a cheann agus gan aon mhisneach fágtha aige.
12 Después de esto Mardochêo se volvió á la puerta del rey, y Amán se fué corriendo á su casa, apesadumbrado y cubierta su cabeza.
12 Und Mardochai kam wieder an das Tor des Königs. Haman aber eilte nach Hause, trug Leid mit verhülltem Kopf
13 And Haman gave his wife Zeresh and all his friends an account of what had taken place. Then his wise men and his wife Zeresh said to him, If Mordecai, who is starting to get the better of you, is of the seed of the Jews, you will not be able to do anything against him, but you will certainly go down before him.
13 Haman raconta à Zéresch, sa femme, et à tous ses amis, tout ce qui lui était arrivé. Et ses sages, et Zéresch, sa femme, lui dirent: Si Mardochée, devant lequel tu as commencé de tomber, est de la race des Juifs, tu ne pourras rien contre lui, mais tu tomberas devant lui.
13 D'inis Hámán dá bhean Zeiris agus dá chairde gach ar bhain dó. Ansin dúirt a chairde agus a bhean Zeiris leis: “Baineadh tuisle asat, a bhuí le Mordacaí; má tharlaíonn sé go mbaineann sé leis an gcine Giúdach, ní bhfaighidh tú an ceann is fearr go brách air, ach titfidh tú agus titfidh tú arís go cinnte óir tá Dia beo lena ais.”
13 Contó luego Amán á Zeres su mujer, y á todos sus amigos, todo lo que le había acontecido: y dijéronle sus sabios, y Zeres su mujer: Si de la simiente de los Judíos es el Mardochêo, delante de quien has comenzado á caer, no lo vencerás; antes caerás por cierto delante de él.
13 und erzählte seinem Weibe Seres und seinen Freunden allen alles, was ihm begegnet war. Da sprachen zu ihm seine Weisen und sein Weib Seres: Ist Mardochai vom Geschlecht der Juden, vor dem du zu fallen angehoben hast, so vermagst du nichts an ihm, sondern du wirst vor ihm fallen.
14 While they were still talking, the king's servants came to take Haman to the feast which Esther had made ready.
14 Comme ils lui parlaient encore, les eunuques du roi arrivèrent et conduisirent aussitôt Haman au festin qu'Esther avait préparé.
