1 After these things, by the order of the king, Haman, the son of Hammedatha the Agagite, was lifted up and given a position of honour and a higher place than all the other captains who were with him.
1 Après ces choses, le roi Assuérus fit monter au pouvoir Haman, fils d'Hammedatha, l'Agaguite; il l'éleva en dignité et plaça son siège au-dessus de ceux de tous les chefs qui étaient auprès de lui.
1 Tamall ina dhiaidh sin thug an rí Aisiuéaróis ardú céime do Hámán mac Hamadátá, Agágach, thug gradam breise dó, agus thug tosaíocht dó ar a chomhghleacaithe go léir,
1 DESPUÉS de estas cosas, el rey Assuero engrandeció á Amán hijo de Amadatha Agageo, y ensalzólo, y puso su silla sobre todos los príncipes que estaban con él.
1 Nach diesen Geschichten machte der König Ahasveros Haman groß, den Sohn Hammedathas, den Agagiter, und erhöhte ihn und setzte seinen Stuhl über alle Fürsten, die bei ihm waren.
2 And all the king's servants who were in the king's house went down to the earth before Haman and gave him honour: for so the king had given orders. But Mordecai did not go down before him or give him honour.
2 Tous les serviteurs du roi, qui se tenaient à la porte du roi, fléchissaient le genou et se prosternaient devant Haman, car tel était l'ordre du roi à son égard. Mais Mardochée ne fléchissait point le genou et ne se prosternait point.
2 agus thug ordú nár mhór do gach duine a bhí ag geata an rí glúin a fheacadh agus urraim a thaispeaint do Hámán. Ach níor fheac Mordacaí glúin na níor thug urraim dó.
2 Y todos los siervos del rey que estaban á la puerta del rey, se arrodillaban é inclinaban á Amán, porque así se lo había mandado el rey; pero Mardochêo, ni se orrodillaba ni se humillaba.
2 Und alle Knechte des Königs, die im Tor waren, beugten die Kniee und fielen vor Haman nieder; denn der König hatte es also geboten. Aber Mardochai beugte die Kniee nicht und fiel nicht nieder.
3 Then the king's servants who were in the king's house said to Mordecai, Why do you go against the king's order?
3 Et les serviteurs du roi, qui se tenaient à la porte du roi, dirent à Mardochée: Pourquoi transgresses-tu l'ordre du roi?
3 D'fhiafraíodh feidhmeannaigh an rí a bhí ag an ngeata de Mhordacaí: “Cad chuige duit ordú an rí a shárú?”
3 Y los siervos del rey que estaban á la puerta, dijeron á Mardochêo: ¿Por qué traspasas el mandamiento del rey?
3 Da sprachen des Königs Knechte, die im Tor des Königs waren, zu Mardochai: Warum übertrittst du des Königs Gebot?
4 Now when they had said this to him day after day and he gave no attention, they let Haman have news of it, to see if Mordecai's behaviour would be overlooked: for he had said to them that he was a Jew.
4 Comme ils le lui répétaient chaque jour et qu'il ne les écoutait pas, ils en firent rapport à Haman, pour voir si Mardochée persisterait dans sa résolution; car il leur avait dit qu'il était Juif.
4 Agus ó tharla go mbídís á rá sin leis gach lá, agus gan aird ar bith aige orthu, d'insíodar an scéal do Hámán, óir ba mhian leo a fheiceáil an seasfadh Mordacaí an fód, óir d'inis sé dóibh gur Giúdach é féin.
4 Y aconteció que, hablándole cada día de esta manera, y no escuchándolos él, denunciáronlo á Amán, por ver si las palabras de Mardochêo se mantendrían; porque ya él les había declarado que era Judío.
4 Und da sie solches täglich zu ihm sagten und er ihnen nicht gehorchte, sagten sie es Haman an, daß sie sähen, ob solch Tun Mardochais bestehen würde; denn er hatte ihnen gesagt, daß er ein Jude wäre.
5 And when Haman saw that Mordecai did not go down before him and give him honour, Haman was full of wrath.
5 Et Haman vit que Mardochée ne fléchissait point le genou et ne se prosternait point devant lui. Il fut rempli de fureur;
5 Nuair a thug Hámán faoi deara nach bhfeacadh Mordacaí glúin dó agus nach dtugadh sé urraim dó, tháinig fraoch feirge air.
5 Y vió Amán que Mardochêo ni se arrodillaba ni se humillaba delante de él; y llenóse de ira.
5 Und da nun Haman sah, daß Mardochai ihm nicht die Kniee beugte noch vor ihm niederfiel, ward er voll Grimms.
6 But it was not enough for him to make an attack on Mordecai only; for they had made clear to him who Mordecai's people were; so Haman made it his purpose to put an end to all the Jews, even Mordecai's people, through all the kingdom of Ahasuerus.
6 mais il dédaigna de porter la main sur Mardochée seul, car on lui avait dit de quel peuple était Mardochée, et il voulut détruire le peuple de Mardochée, tous les Juifs qui se trouvaient dans tout le royaume d'Assuérus.
6 Ba scorn leis más ea lámh a leagan ar Mhordacaí amháin, mar cuireadh in iúl do cén cine gur díobh é. Bheartaigh sé na Giúdaigh go léir a bhí scaipthe ar fud ríocht Aisiuéaróis a scriosadh mar gurbh iad muintir Mhordacaí iad. Na Giúdaigh i mBaol
6 Mas tuvo en poco meter mano en solo Mardochêo; que ya le había declarado el pueblo de Mardochêo: y procuró Amán destruir á todos los Judíos que había en el reino de Assuero, al pueblo de Mardochêo.
6 Und verachtete es, daß er an Mardochai allein sollte die Hand legen, denn sie hatten ihm das Volk Mardochais angesagt; sondern er trachtete, das Volk Mardochais, alle Juden, so im ganzen Königreich des Ahasveros waren, zu vertilgen.
7 In the first month, the month Nisan, in the twelfth year of King Ahasuerus, from day to day and from month to month they went on looking for a sign given by Pur (that is chance) before Haman, till the sign came out for the thirteenth day of the twelfth month, the month Adar.
7 Au premier mois, qui est le mois de Nisan, la douzième année du roi Assuérus, on jeta le pur, c'est-à-dire le sort, devant Haman, pour chaque jour et pour chaque mois, jusqu'au douzième mois, qui est le mois d'Adar.
7 Sa chéad mhí, Níosán is é sin, sa dara bliain déag de réimeas Aisiuéaróis, caitheadh púr [.i. an crann] i láthair Hámán don lá agus don mhí, agus thit an crann ar an dara mí déag, Adár is é sin.
7 En el mes primero, que es el mes de Nisán, en el año duodécimo del rey Assuero, fué echada Pur, esto es, la suerte, delante de Amán, de día en día y de mes en mes; y salió el mes duodécimo, que es el mes de Adar.
7 Im ersten Monat, das ist der Monat Nisan, im zwölften Jahr des Königs Ahasveros, ward das Pur, das ist das Los, geworfen vor Haman, von einem Tage auf den andern und von Monat zu Monat bis auf den zwölften, das ist der Monat Adar.
8 And Haman said to King Ahasuerus, There is a certain nation living here and there in small groups among the people in all the divisions of your kingdom; their laws are different from those of any other nation, and they do not keep the king's laws: for this reason it is not right for the king to let them be.
8 Alors Haman dit au roi Assuérus: Il y a dans toutes les provinces de ton royaume un peuple dispersé et à part parmi les peuples, ayant des lois différentes de celles de tous les peuples et n'observant point les lois du roi. Il n'est pas dans l'intérêt du roi de le laisser en repos.
8 Ansin dúirt Hámán le hAisiuéaróis an rí: “Tá cine áirithe scaipthe go fada fairsing i measc na gciníocha eile i gcúigí uile do ríochta; ní ionann a ndlíthe agus dlíthe aon chine eile, ní choimeádann siad dlíthe an rí, agus ní oireann sé don rí cur suas leo.
8 Y dijo Amán al rey Assuero: Hay un pueblo esparcido y dividido entre los pueblos en todas las provincias de tu reino, y sus leyes son diferentes de las de todo pueblo, y no observan las leyes del rey; y al rey no viene provecho de dejarlos.
8 Und Haman sprach zum König Ahasveros: Es ist ein Volk, zerstreut in allen Ländern deines Königreichs, und ihr Gesetz ist anders denn aller Völker, und tun nicht nach des Königs Gesetzen; es ziemt dem König nicht, sie also zu lassen.
9 If it is the king's pleasure, let a statement ordering their destruction be put in writing: and I will give to those responsible for the king's business, ten thousand talents of silver for the king's store-house.
9 Si le roi le trouve bon, qu'on écrive l'ordre de les faire périr; et je pèserai dix mille talents d'argent entre les mains des fonctionnaires, pour qu'on les porte dans le trésor du roi.
9 Más áil leis an rí é, tugadh sé ordú iad a dhíothú, agus díolfaidh mise deich míle tallann airgid le riarthóirí an rí le cur sa chiste ríoga.”
9 Si place al rey, escríbase que sean destruídos; y yo pesaré diez mil talentos de plata en manos de los que manejan la hacienda, para que sean traídos á los tesoros del rey.
9 Gefällt es dem König, so lasse er schreiben, daß man sie umbringe; so will ich zehntausend Zentner Silber darwägen unter die Hand der Amtleute, daß man's bringt in die Kammer des Königs.
10 And the king took his ring from his hand and gave it to Haman, the son of Hammedatha the Agagite, the hater of the Jews.
10 Le roi ôta son anneau de la main, et le remit à Haman, fils d'Hammedatha, l'Agaguite, ennemi des Juifs.
10 Ansin bhain an rí an fáinne séala dá mhéar agus thug do Hámán mac Hamadátá an tAgágach, namhaid na nGiúdach é.
10 Entonces el rey quitó su anillo de su mano, y diólo á Amán hijo de Amadatha Agageo, enemigo de los Judíos,
10 Da tat der König seinen Ring von der Hand und gab ihn Haman, dem Sohn Hammadathas, dem Agagiter, der Juden Feind.
11 And the king said to Haman, The money is yours, and the people, to do with them whatever seems right to you.
11 Et le roi dit à Haman: L'argent t'est donné, et ce peuple aussi; fais-en ce que tu voudras.
11 Dúirt an rí le Hámán: “Bíodh an t‑airgead agat, agus na daoine chomh maith agus déan do rogha rud leo.”
11 Y díjole: La plata propuesta sea para ti, y asimismo el pueblo, para que hagas de él lo que bien te pareciere.
11 Und der König sprach zu Haman: Das Silber sei dir gegeben, dazu das Volk, daß du damit tust, was dir gefällt.
12 Then on the thirteenth day of the first month, the king's scribes were sent for, and they put in writing Haman's orders to all the king's captains and the rulers of every division of his kingdom and the chiefs of every people: for every division of the kingdom in the writing commonly used there, and to every people in the language which was theirs; it was signed in the name of King Ahasuerus and stamped with the king's ring.
12 Les secrétaires du roi furent appelés le treizième jour du premier mois, et l'on écrivit, suivant tout ce qui fut ordonné par Haman, aux satrapes du roi, aux gouverneurs de chaque province et aux chefs de chaque peuple, à chaque province selon son écriture et à chaque peuple selon sa langue. Ce fut au nom du roi Assuérus que l'on écrivit, et on scella avec l'anneau du roi.
12 Ansin, ar an tríú lá déag den chéad mhí, glaodh ar scríobhaithe an rí agus scríobhadh síos na horduithe a thug Hámán do ghobharnóirí an rí, do cheannasaithe gach cúige, agus do thaoisigh gach cine; do gach cúige ina scríbhinn féin agus do gach cine ina dteanga féin; síníodh an forógra in ainm an rí Aisiuéaróis, agus buaileadh séala air le fáinne an rí.
12 Entonces fueron llamados los escribanos del rey en el mes primero, á trece del mismo, y fué escrito conforme á todo lo que mandó Amán, á los príncipes del rey, y á los capitanes que estaban sobre cada provincia, y á los príncipes de cada pueblo, á cada provincia según su escritura, y á cada pueblo según su lengua: en nombre del rey Assuero fué escrito, y signado con el anillo del rey.
12 Da rief man die Schreiber des Königs am dreizehnten Tage des ersten Monats; und ward geschrieben, wie Haman befahl, an die Fürsten des Königs und zu den Landpflegern hin und her in den Ländern und zu den Hauptleuten eines jeglichen Volks in den Ländern hin und her, nach der Schrift eines jeglichen Volks und nach ihrer Sprache, im Namen des Königs Ahasveros und mit des Königs Ring versiegelt.
13 And letters were sent by the runners into every division of the kingdom ordering the death and destruction of all Jews, young and old, little children and women, on the same day, even the thirteenth day of the twelfth month, the month Adar, and the taking of all their goods by force.
13 Les lettres furent envoyées par les courriers dans toutes les provinces du roi, pour qu'on détruisît, qu'on tuât et qu'on fît périr tous les Juifs, jeunes et vieux, petits enfants et femmes, en un seul jour, le treizième du douzième mois, qui est le mois d'Adar, et pour que leurs biens fussent livrés au pillage.
13 Cuireadh litreacha le teachtairí go cúigí uile an rí, agus d'ordaigh siad scrios agus ár agus díothú ar na Giúdaigh go léir, idir óg agus aosta, idir mhná agus mhiondaoine, in aon lá amháin, an tríú lá déag den dara mí déag, Adár is é sin, agus a maoin a ghabháil mar chreach. Mar leanas a ghabh an litir: “Beatha agus sláinte ón rí mór Aisiuéaróis do ghobharnóirí an céad fiche a seacht gcúige a shíneann ón Ind go dtí an Aetóip agus do na ceannasaithe dúiche atá fúthu. De bhrí go bhfuair mé ceannas ar mhórán ciníocha agus gur thug mé an domhan go léir faoi mo smacht, bheartaigh mé gan mí-úsáid a bhaint as mo mhórchumhacht, ach a bheith i gcónaí tuisceanach lách, saol socair síochánta a chinntiú do mo ghéillsinigh, agus an tsíocháin a bhfuil cách ag tnúth léi a bhuanú i dtreo go mbeadh an tsibhialtacht faoi réim agus cead a gcos ag cách ó cheann ceann na ríochta. Ar an ábhar sin d'fhiafraigh mé de mo chomhairleoirí conas ab fhearr a d'fhéadfaí an cuspóir sin a chur i gcrích; bhí, ar na comhairleoirí, duine áirithe darbh ainm Hámán, fear saorbhreathach, a rug barr eagna agus dílse leis ón gcuid eile ar fad, agus atá i dtánaiste gradam don rí féin. D'inis seisean dúinn go raibh cine namhdúil áirithe scaipthe i measc treibheanna uile an domhain agus go raibh dlíthe acu a bhí bunoscionn le gach cine eile, agus go raibh siad de shíor ag cur suas do reachtanna na ríthe, agus ag cur bac ar an sórt rialtais atá á bhunú againn ar mhaithe leis an maith choiteann. De bhrí gur tuigeadh dúinn go raibh an mhuintir leithleasach seo, leo féin, de shíor ag cur i gcoinne an chine dhaonna go léir, agus ag baint feidhm as dlíthe urchóideacha ag cur suas dár reachtanna, agus ag cur coireanna uafásacha i gcrích i dtreo go bhfuil ár ríocht i mbaol titim, ordaímid: An mhuintir a ainmníodh daoibh i litreacha Hámán - an té sin a ceapadh i bhfeighil ár ngnóthaí agus is dara athair dúinn - déantar iadsan go léir, mar aon lena mná agus lena miondaoine, a dhíothú agus a scriosadh de chlár na cruinne le faobhar claímh a naimhde, gan trua gan taise ar an gceathrú lá déag den dara mí déag, Adár is é sin, den bhliain seo féin; caithfear, ar an gcuma sin, an dream seo a bhí namhdúil, agus atá amhlaidh fós, síos go hifreann le láimh láidir, in aon lá amháin, agus beidh ár rialtas slán faoi shíocháin bhuan as sin amach.”
13 Y fueron enviadas letras por mano de los correos á todas las provincias del rey, para destruir, y matar, y exterminar á todos los Judíos, desde el niño hasta el viejo, niños y mujeres en un día, en el trece del mes duodécimo, que es el mes de Adar, y para apoderarse de su despojo.
13 Und die Briefe wurden gesandt durch die Läufer in alle Länder des Königs, zu vertilgen, zu erwürgen und umzubringen alle Juden, jung und alt, Kinder und Weiber, auf einen Tag, nämlich auf den dreizehnten Tag des zwölften Monats, das ist der Monat Adar, und ihr Gut zu rauben.
14 A copy of the writing, to be made public in every part of the kingdom, was sent out to all the peoples, so that they might be ready when that day came.
14 Ces lettres renfermaient une copie de l'édit qui devait être publié dans chaque province, et invitaient tous les peuples à se tenir prêts pour ce jour-là.
14 Foilsíodh téacs an doiciméid sin do na ciníocha go léir, le fogairt mar dhlí i ngach cúige, le go mbeidís go léir ullamh don lá úd.
14 La copia del escrito que se diese por mandamiento en cada provincia, fué publicada á todos los pueblos, á fin de que estuviesen apercibidos para aquel día.
14 Also war der Inhalt der Schrift: daß ein Gebot gegeben wäre in allen Ländern, allen Völkern zu eröffnen, daß sie auf denselben Tag bereit wären.
15 The runners went out quickly by the king's order, and a public statement was made in Shushan: and the king and Haman took wine together: but the town of Shushan was troubled.
15 Les courriers partirent en toute hâte, d'après l'ordre du roi. L'édit fut aussi publié dans Suse, la capitale; et tandis que le roi et Haman étaient à boire, la ville de Suse était dans la consternation.
