1 Now after this, the children of Moab and the children of Ammon, and with them some of the Meunim, made war against Jehoshaphat.
1 Après cela, les fils de Moab et les fils d'Ammon, et avec eux des Maonites, marchèrent contre Josaphat pour lui faire la guerre.
1 Ina dhiaidh sin tháinig na Móábaigh, na hAmónaigh, agus cuid de na [Méúnaigh] chun cogadh a chur ar Iahóiseáfát.
1 Pasadas estas cosas, aconteció que los hijos de Moab y de Ammón, y con ellos otros de los Ammonitas, vinieron contra Josaphat á la guerra.
1 Nach diesem kamen die Kinder Moab, die Kinder Ammon und mit ihnen auch Meuniter, wider Josaphat zu streiten.
2 And they came to Jehoshaphat with the news, saying, A great army is moving against you from Edom across the sea; and now they are in Hazazon-tamar (which is En-gedi).
2 On vint en informer Josaphat, en disant: Une multitude nombreuse s'avance contre toi depuis l'autre côté de la mer, depuis la Syrie, et ils sont à Hatsatson Thamar, qui est En Guédi.
2 Tháinig daoine le teachtaireacht go dtí Iahóiseáfát: “Tá slua mór ag teacht i do choinne ó Eadóm ón taobh eile den fharraige; tá siad ag Hazazón Támár, .i. Éan Geidí, cheana féin.”
2 Y acudieron, y dieron aviso á Josaphat, diciendo: Contra ti viene una grande multitud de la otra parte de la mar, y de la Siria; y he aquí ellos están en Hasasón-tamar, que es Engedi.
2 Und man kam und sagte es Josaphat an und sprach: Es kommt wider dich eine große Menge von jenseits des Meeres, von Syrien; und siehe, sie sind zu Hazezon-Thamar, das ist Engedi.
3 Then Jehoshaphat, in his fear, went to the Lord for directions, and gave orders all through Judah for the people to go without food.
3 Dans sa frayeur, Josaphat se disposa à chercher l'Éternel, et il publia un jeûne pour tout Juda.
3 Tháinig scéin ar Iahóiseáfát agus chinn sé dul i muinín an Tiarna; d'fhógair sé troscadh ar Iúdá ar fad.
3 Entonces él tuvo temor; y puso Josaphat su rostro para consultar á Jehová, é hizo pregonar ayuno á todo Judá.
3 Josaphat aber fürchtete sich und stellte sein Angesicht, zu suchen den HERRN, und ließ ein Fasten ausrufen unter ganz Juda.
4 And Judah came together to make prayer for help from the Lord; from every town of Judah they came to give worship to the Lord.
4 Juda s'assembla pour invoquer l'Éternel, et l'on vint de toutes les villes de Juda pour chercher l'Éternel.
4 Chruinnigh Iúdá le chéile chun cabhair a lorg ar an Tiarna; tháinig siad ó gach cathair i Iúdá ar lorg an Tiarna.
4 Y juntáronse los de Judá para pedir socorro á Jehová: y también de todas las ciudades de Judá vinieron á pedir á Jehová.
4 Und Juda kam zusammen, den HERRN zu suchen; auch kamen sie aus allen Städten Juda's, den HERRN zu suchen.
5 And Jehoshaphat took his place in the meeting of Judah and Jerusalem, in the house of the Lord in front of the new open space,
5 Josaphat se présenta au milieu de l'assemblée de Juda et de Jérusalem, dans la maison de l'Éternel, devant le nouveau parvis.
5 Ag an gcomhthionól seo de mhuintir Iúdá agus Iarúsailéim i dTeampall an Tiarna, sheas Iahóiseáfát os comhair na cúirte nua,
5 Púsose entonces Josaphat en pie en la reunión de Judá y de Jerusalem, en la casa de Jehová, delante del atrio nuevo;
5 Und Josaphat trat unter die Gemeinde Juda's und Jerusalems im Hause des HERRN vor dem neuen Hofe
6 And said, O Lord, the God of our fathers, are you not God in heaven? are you not ruler over all the kingdoms of the nations? and in your hands are power and strength so that no one is able to keep his place against you.
6 Et il dit: Éternel, Dieu de nos pères, n'es-tu pas Dieu dans les cieux, et n'est-ce pas toi qui domines sur tous les royaumes des nations? N'est-ce pas toi qui as en main la force et la puissance, et à qui nul ne peut résister?
6 agus dúirt: “A Thiarna, a Dhia ár sinsear, nach tusa an Dia a chónaíonn sna flaithis? Nach bhfuil tusa i gceannas ar ríochtaí na gciníocha go léir? Tá a leithéid de chumhacht agus de neart i do lámhasa nach féidir le haon duine cur i do choinne.
6 Y dijo: Jehová Dios de nuestros padres, ¿no eres tú Dios en los cielos, y te enseñoreas en todos los reinos de las Gentes? ¿no está en tu mano tal fuerza y potencia, que no hay quien te resista?
6 und sprach: HERR, unser Väter Gott, bist du nicht Gott im Himmel und Herrscher in allen Königreichen der Heiden? Und in deiner Hand ist Kraft und Macht, und ist niemand, der wider dich zu stehen vermöge.
7 Did you not, O Lord our God, after driving out the people of this land before your people Israel, give it to the seed of Abraham, your friend, for ever?
7 N'est-ce pas toi, ô notre Dieu, qui as chassé les habitants de ce pays devant ton peuple d'Israël, et qui l'as donné pour toujours à la postérité d'Abraham qui t'aimait?
7 Nach tusa ár nDia a dhíbir áitritheoirí na tíre seo amach roimh Iosrael do phobal, agus a thug é go brách do shliocht Abrahám, do chara?
7 Dios nuestro, ¿no echaste tú los moradores de aquesta tierra delante de tu pueblo Israel, y la diste á la simiente de Abraham tu amigo para siempre?
7 Hast du, unser Gott, nicht die Einwohner dieses Landes vertrieben vor deinem Volk Israel und hast es gegeben dem Samen Abrahams, deines Liebhabers, ewiglich,
8 And they made it their living-place, building there a holy house for your name, and saying,
8 Ils l'ont habité, et ils t'y ont bâti un sanctuaire pour ton nom, en disant:
8 Chuir siadsan fúthu ann agus thóg siad sanctóir do d'ainm ann,
8 Y ellos han habitado en ella, y te han edificado en ella santuario á tu nombre, diciendo:
8 daß sie darin gewohnt und dir ein Heiligtum für deinen Namen darin gebaut haben und gesagt:
9 If evil comes on us, the sword, or punishment, or disease, or need of food, we will come to this house and to you, (for your name is in this house,) crying to you in our trouble, and you will give us salvation in answer to our cry.
9 S'il nous survient quelque calamité, l'épée, le jugement, la peste ou la famine, nous nous présenterons devant cette maison et devant toi, car ton nom est dans cette maison, nous crierons à toi du sein de notre détresse, et tu exauceras et tu sauveras!
9 á rá: ‘Má bhuaileann tubaiste sinn - cogadh nó daorbhreith, nó galar, nó gorta - seasfaimid os comhair an Teampaill seo agus os do chomhairse, mar tá d'ainm sa Teampall seo. Agus glaofaimid ort as umar ár n‑aimléise agus tabharfaidh tú cluas agus éisteacht dúinn.’
9 Si mal viniere sobre nosotros, ó espada de castigo, ó pestilencia, ó hambre, presentarnos hemos delante de esta casa, y delante de ti, (porque tu nombre está en esta casa,) y de nuestras tribulaciones clamaremos á ti, y tú nos oirás y salvarás.
9 Wenn ein Unglück, Schwert, Strafe, Pestilenz oder Teuerung über uns kommt, sollen wir stehen vor diesem Hause vor dir (denn dein Name ist in diesem Hause) und schreien zu dir in unsrer Not, so wollest du hören und helfen?
10 And now, see, the children of Ammon and Moab and the people of Mount Seir, whom you kept Israel from attacking when they came out of Egypt, so that turning to one side they did not send destruction on them:
10 Maintenant voici, les fils d'Ammon et de Moab et ceux de la montagne de Séir, chez lesquels tu n'as pas permis à Israël d'entrer quand il venait du pays d'Égypte, -car il s'est détourné d'eux et ne les a pas détruits, -
10 Seo chugainn anois muintir Amón agus Mhóáb agus Shliabh Shaeír; nuair a bhí Iosrael ag teacht amach as an Éigipt níor cheadaigh tú d'Iosrael iad a ionsaí; chas Iosrael i leataobh agus níor scrios siad iad -
10 Ahora pues, he aquí los hijos de Ammón y de Moab, y los del monte de Seir, á la tierra de los cuales ni quisiste que pasase Israel cuando venían de la tierra de Egipto, sino que se apartasen de ellos, y no los destruyesen;
10 Nun siehe, die Kinder Ammon und Moab und die vom Gebirge Seir, durch welche du die Kinder Israel nicht ziehen ließest, da sie aus Ägyptenland zogen, sondern sie mußten von ihnen weichen und durften sie nicht vertilgen;
11 See now, how as our reward they have come to send us out of your land which you have given us as our heritage.
11 les voici qui nous récompensent en venant nous chasser de ton héritage, dont tu nous as mis en possession.
11 ach seo mar atá díolaíocht á déanamh acu anois, ag teacht dár dtiomáint amach as na tailte a thug tú dúinn mar oidhreacht.
11 He aquí ellos nos dan el pago, viniendo á echarnos de tu heredad, que tú nos diste á poseer.
11 und siehe, sie lassen uns das entgelten und kommen, uns auszustoßen aus deinem Erbe, das du uns gegeben hast.
12 O our God, will you not be their judge? for our strength is not equal to this great army which is coming against us; and we are at a loss what to do: but our eyes are on you.
12 O notre Dieu, n'exerceras-tu pas tes jugements sur eux? Car nous sommes sans force devant cette multitude nombreuse qui s'avance contre nous, et nous ne savons que faire, mais nos yeux sont sur toi.
12 Nach ndéanfaidh tusa, ár nDia, breithiúnas orthu, mar nach bhfuil aon neart ionainn in aghaidh an tslua ábhalmhóir seo atá ag teacht inár gcoinne. Ní eol dúinn cad tá le déanamh againn, ach tá ár n‑aird go léir ortsa!”
12 ¡Oh Dios nuestro! ¿no los juzgarás tú? porque en nosotros no hay fuerza contra tan grande multitud que viene contra nosotros: no sabemos lo que hemos de hacer, mas á ti volvemos nuestros ojos.
12 Unser Gott, willst du sie nicht richten? Denn in uns ist nicht Kraft gegen diesen großen Haufen, der wider uns kommt. Wir wissen nicht, was wir tun sollen; sondern unsre Augen sehen nach dir.
13 And all Judah were waiting before the Lord, with their little ones, their wives, and their children.
13 Tout Juda se tenait debout devant l'Éternel, avec leurs petits enfants, leurs femmes et leurs fils.
13 Bhí Iúdá go léir ina seasamh i láthair an Tiarna, a n‑aosóga, a mná agus a leanaí.
13 Y todo Judá estaba en pie delante de Jehová, con sus niños, y sus mujeres, y sus hijos.
13 Und das ganze Juda stand vor dem HERRN mit ihren Kindern, Weibern und Söhnen.
14 Then, before all the meeting, the spirit of the Lord came on Jahaziel, the son of Zechariah, son of Benaiah, son of Jeiel, son of Mattaniah, a Levite and one of the family of Asaph;
14 Alors l'esprit de l'Éternel saisit au milieu de l'assemblée Jachaziel, fils de Zacharie, fils de Benaja, fils de Jeïel, fils de Matthania, Lévite, d'entre les fils d'Asaph.
14 Tháinig spiorad an Tiarna i lár an chomhthionóil ar Iachazíéil mac Zacairiá, mac Bhanáiá, mac Ieíéil, mac Mhatainiá an Léivíteach, duine de chlann Ásáf;
14 Y estaba allí Jahaziel hijo de Zachârías, hijo de Benaías, hijo de Jeiel, hijo de Mathanías, Levita de los hijos de Asaph, sobre el cual vino el espíritu de Jehová en medio de la reunión;
14 Aber auf Jahasiel, den Sohn Sacharjas, des Sohnes Benajas, des Sohnes Jehiels, des Sohnes Matthanjas, den Leviten aus den Kindern Asaph, kam der Geist des HERRN mitten in der Gemeinde,
15 And he said, Give ear, O Judah, and you people of Jerusalem, and you, King Jehoshaphat: the Lord says to you, Have no fear and do not be troubled on account of this great army; for the fight is not yours but God's.
15 Et Jachaziel dit: Soyez attentifs, tout Juda et habitants de Jérusalem, et toi, roi Josaphat! Ainsi vous parle l'Éternel: Ne craignez point et ne vous effrayez point devant cette multitude nombreuse, car ce ne sera pas vous qui combattrez, ce sera Dieu.
15 dúirt sé: “Éistigí, a fheara uile Iúdá, agus sibhse a chónaíonn in Iarúsailéim, agus tusa a rí Iahóiseáfát! Mar seo a deir an Tiarna libh: ‘Ná bíodh eagla oraibh agus ná cuireadh an mathshlua mór seo drochmhisneach oraibh! Ní libhse an cath seo ach le Dia.
15 Y dijo: Oid, Judá todo, y vosotros moradores de Jerusalem, y tú, rey Josaphat. Jehová os dice así: No temáis ni os amedrentéis delante de esta tan grande multitud; porque no es vuestra la guerra, sino de Dios.
15 und er sprach: Merkt auf, ganz Juda und ihr Einwohner zu Jerusalem und du, König Josaphat! So spricht der HERR zu euch: Ihr sollt euch nicht fürchten noch zagen vor diesem großen Haufen; denn ihr streitet nicht, sondern Gott.
16 Go down against them tomorrow: see, they are coming up by the slope of Ziz; at the end of the valley, before the waste land of Jeruel, you will come face to face with them.
16 Demain, descendez contre eux; ils vont monter par la colline de Tsits, et vous les trouverez à l'extrémité de la vallée, en face du désert de Jeruel.
16 Cuirigí chun bóthair ina gcoinne amárach! Féach! tá siad ag teacht Ard Zíz aníos agus tiocfaidh sibh orthu i lúib an ghleanna lastoir de fhásach Iarúael.
16 Mañana descenderéis contra ellos: he aquí que ellos subirán por la cuesta de Sis, y los hallaréis junto al arroyo, antes del desierto de Jeruel.
16 Morgen sollt ihr zu ihnen hinabziehen; und siehe, sie ziehen die Höhe von Ziz herauf, und ihr werdet sie treffen, wo das Tal endet, vor der Wüste Jeruel.
17 There will be no need for you to take up arms in this fight; put yourselves in position, and keep where you are, and you will see the salvation of the Lord with you, O Judah and Jerusalem: have no fear and do not be troubled: go out against them tomorrow, for the Lord is with you.
17 Vous n'aurez point à combattre en cette affaire: présentez-vous, tenez-vous là, et vous verrez la délivrance que l'Éternel vous accordera. Juda et Jérusalem, ne craignez point et ne vous effrayez point, demain, sortez à leur rencontre, et l'Éternel sera avec vous!
17 Ní bheidh oraibh troid sa chath seo; téigí chun bhur láithreacha, seasaigí an fód, agus feicigí an bua atá i ndán daoibh ag an Tiarna. A Iúdá agus a Iarúsailéim, ná bíodh scéin ná drochmhisneach oraibh! Gluaisigí amach ina gcoinne amárach agus beidh an Tiarna in bhur dteannta.’ ”
17 No habrá para qué vosotros peleéis en este caso: paraos, estad quedos, y ved la salud de Jehová con vosotros. Oh Judá y Jerusalem, no temáis ni desmayéis; salid mañana contra ellos, que Jehová será con vosotros.
17 Aber ihr werdet nicht streiten in dieser Sache. Tretet nur hin und steht und seht das Heil des HERRN, der mit euch ist, Juda und Jerusalem. Fürchtet euch nicht und zaget nicht. Morgen zieht aus wider sie; der HERR ist mit euch.
18 Then Jehoshaphat went down with his face to the earth, and all Judah and the people of Jerusalem gave worship to the Lord, falling down before him.
18 Josaphat s'inclina le visage contre terre, et tout Juda et les habitants de Jérusalem tombèrent devant l'Éternel pour se prosterner en sa présence.
18 Ansin chrom Iahóiseáfát a cheann agus a aghaidh chun talún agus chaith Iúdá go léir agus áitritheoirí Iarúsailéim iad féin ar a mbéala in ómós don Tiarna.
18 Entonces Josaphat se inclinó rostro por tierra, y asimismo todo Judá y los moradores de Jerusalem se postraron delante de Jehová, y adoraron á Jehová.
18 Da beugte sich Josaphat mit seinem Antlitz zur Erde, und ganz Juda und die Einwohner von Jerusalem fielen vor dem HERRN nieder und beteten den HERRN an.
19 And the Levites, the children of the Kohathites and the Korahites, got to their feet and gave praise to the Lord, the God of Israel, with a loud voice.
19 Les Lévites d'entre les fils des Kehathites et d'entre les fils des Koréites se levèrent pour célébrer d'une voix forte et haute l'Éternel, le Dieu d'Israël.
19 Ansin sheas na Léivítigh, na Cohátaigh agus na Corachaigh, leis an Tiarna, Dia Iosrael, a mholadh, in ard a gcinn agus a ngutha.
19 Y levantáronse los Levitas de los hijos de Coath y de los hijos de Coré, para alabar á Jehová el Dios de Israel á grande y alta voz.
19 Und die Leviten aus den Kindern der Kahathiter, nämlich von den Kindern der Korahiter, machten sich auf, zu loben den HERRN, den Gott Israels, mit lauter Stimme gen Himmel.
20 And early in the morning they got up and went out to the waste land of Tekoa: and when they were going out, Jehoshaphat took his station and said to them, Give ear to me, O Judah and you people of Jerusalem: have faith in the Lord your God and you will be safe; have faith in his prophets and all will go well for you.
20 Le lendemain, ils se mirent en marche de grand matin pour le désert de Tekoa. A leur départ, Josaphat se présenta et dit: Écoutez-moi, Juda et habitants de Jérusalem! Confiez-vous en l'Éternel, votre Dieu, et vous serez affermis; confiez-vous en ses prophètes, et vous réussirez.
20 D'éirigh siad go moch ar maidin agus d'imigh siad leo go fásach Theacóá. Ag cur chun bealaigh dóibh sheas Iahóiseáfát ansiúd agus dúirt: “Éistigí liom a fheara Iúdá, sibhse a chónaíonn in Iarúsailéim! Bíodh muinín agaibh sa Tiarna bhur nDia agus ní baol daoibh. Bíodh muinín agaibh ina fháithe agus beidh an lá libh.”
20 Y como se levantaron por la mañana, salieron por el desierto de Tecoa. Y mientras ellos salían, Josaphat estando en pie, dijo: Oidme, Judá y moradores de Jerusalem. Creed á Jehová vuestro Dios, y seréis seguros; creed á sus profetas, y seréis prosperados.
20 Und sie machten sich des Morgens früh auf und zogen aus zur Wüste Thekoa. Und da sie auszogen, stand Josaphat und sprach: Hört mir zu, Juda und ihr Einwohner zu Jerusalem! Glaubet an den HERRN, euren Gott, so werdet ihr sicher sein; und glaubt an seine Propheten, so werdet ihr Glück haben.
21 And after discussion with the people, he put in their places those who were to make melody to the Lord, praising him in holy robes, while they went at the head of the army, and saying, May the Lord be praised, for his mercy is unchanging for ever.
21 Puis, d'accord avec le peuple, il nomma des chantres qui, revêtus d'ornements sacrés, et marchant devant l'armée, célébraient l'Éternel et disaient: Louez l'Éternel, car sa miséricorde dure à toujours!
21 Chuaigh sé i gcomhairle leis an bpobal ansin agus chuir sé cantairí an Tiarna, ina n‑éidí beannaithe, ag ceann an tslua lena mholtaí a chanadh, agus á rá: “Molaigí an Tiarna, mar maireann a bhuanghrá de shíor.”
21 Y habido consejo con el pueblo, puso á algunos que cantasen á Jehová, y alabasen en la hermosura de la santidad, mientras que salía la gente armada, y dijesen: Glorificad á Jehová, porque su misericordia es para siempre.
21 Und er unterwies das Volk und bestellte die Sänger dem HERRN, daß sie lobten in heiligem Schmuck und vor den Gerüsteten her zögen und sprächen: Danket dem HERRN; denn sein Barmherzigkeit währet ewiglich.
22 And at the first notes of song and praise the Lord sent a surprise attack against the children of Ammon and Moab and the people of Mount Seir, who had come against Judah; and they were overcome.
22 Au moment où l'on commençait les chants et les louanges, l'Éternel plaça une embuscade contre les fils d'Ammon et de Moab et ceux de la montagne de Séir, qui étaient venus contre Juda. Et ils furent battus.
22 Nuair a chrom siad ar a laoithe mórtha agus molta, rinne an Tiarna luíochán ar fhir Amón agus Mhóáb agus Shliabh Shaeír a bhí tagtha chun Iúdá a ionsaí, agus cuireadh an teitheadh orthu.
22 Y como comenzaron con clamor y con alabanza, puso Jehová contra los hijos de Ammón, de Moab, y del monte de Seir, las emboscadas de ellos mismos que venían contra Judá, y matáronse los unos á los otros:
22 Und da sie anfingen mit Danken und Loben, ließ der HERR einen Hinterhalt kommen über die Kinder Ammon und Moab und die auf dem Gebirge Seir, die wider Juda gekommen waren, und sie wurden geschlagen.
23 And the children of Ammon and Moab made an attack on the people of Mount Seir with a view to their complete destruction; and when they had put an end to the people of Seir, everyman's hand was turned against his neighbour for his destruction.
23 Les fils d'Ammon et de Moab se jetèrent sur les habitants de la montagne de Séir pour les dévouer par interdit et les exterminer; et quand ils en eurent fini avec les habitants de Séir, ils s'aidèrent les uns les autres à se détruire.
23 Thug fir Amón agus Mhóáb fogha faoi mhuintir Shliabh Shaeír lena scriosadh faoin mbang, ach ní dhearnadar ach cuidiú le díthiú a chéile, nuair a bhí muintir Shaeír scriosta acu.
23 Pues los hijos de Ammón y Moab se levantaron contra los del monte de Seir, para matarlos y destruirlos; y como hubieron acabado á los del monte de Seir, cada cual ayudó á la destrucción de su compañero.
23 Da standen die Kinder Ammon wider die vom Gebirge Seir, sie zu verbannen und zu vertilgen. Und da sie die vom Gebirge Seir hatten alle aufgerieben, half einer dem andern zum Verderben.
24 And Judah came to the watchtower of the waste land, and looking in the direction of the army, they saw only dead bodies stretched on the earth; no living man was to be seen.
24 Lorsque Juda fut arrivé sur la hauteur d'où l'on aperçoit le désert, ils regardèrent du côté de la multitude, et voici, c'étaient des cadavres étendus à terre, et personne n'avait échappé.
24 Nuair a shroich muintir Iúdá an áit óna bhfuil radharc ar an bhfásach agus gur thug siad aghaidh ar an mathshlua, féach, ní raibh ach corpáin gan anam sínte ar an talamh; níor fágadh fear inste scéil.
24 Y luego que vino Judá á la atalaya del desierto, miraron hacia la multitud; mas he aquí yacían ellos en tierra muertos, que ninguno había escapado.
24 Da aber Juda an die Warte kam an der Wüste, wandten sie sich gegen den Haufen; und siehe, da lagen die Leichname auf der Erde, daß keiner entronnen war.
25 And when Jehoshaphat and his people came to take their goods from them, they saw beasts in great numbers, and wealth and clothing and things of value, more than they were able to take away; all this they took for themselves, and they were three days getting it away, there was so much.
25 Josaphat et son peuple allèrent prendre leurs dépouilles; ils trouvèrent parmi les cadavres d'abondantes richesses et des objets précieux, et ils en enlevèrent tant qu'ils ne purent tout emporter. Ils mirent trois jours au pillage du butin, car il était considérable.
25 Tháinig Iahóiseáfát ansin agus a shluaite lena gcreachadh agus fuair siad mórchuid eallaigh agus maoine agus éadaí agus seod; bhailíodar thar mar ab fhéidir leo a bhreith leo; bhí an chreach chomh mór sin go rabhadar trí lá á cruinniú.
25 Viniendo entonces Josaphat y su pueblo á despojarlos, hallaron en ellos muchas riquezas entre los cadáveres, así vestidos como preciosos enseres, los cuales tomaron para sí, tantos, que no los podían llevar: tres días duró el despojo, porque era mucho.
25 Und Josaphat kam mit seinem Volk, ihren Raub auszuteilen, und sie fanden unter ihnen so viel Güter und Kleider und köstliche Geräte und nahmen sich's, daß es auch nicht zu tragen war. Und teilten drei Tage den Raub aus; denn es war viel.
26 On the fourth day they all came together in the Valley of Blessing, and there they gave blessing to the Lord; for which cause that place has been named the Valley of Blessing to this day.
26 Le quatrième jour, ils s'assemblèrent dans la vallée de Beraca, où ils bénirent l'Éternel; c'est pourquoi ils appelèrent ce lieu vallée de Beraca, nom qui lui est resté jusqu'à ce jour.
26 Ar an gceathrú lá thionóil siad i nGleann na Beannachta mar ar bheannaíodar an Tiarna go dearfa; uime sin atá an t‑ainm Gleann na Beannachta á thabhairt ar an áit go dtí inniu féin.
26 Y al cuarto día se juntaron en el valle de Beracah; porque allí bendijeron á Jehová, y por esto llamaron el nombre de aquel paraje el valle de Beracah, hasta hoy.
26 Am vierten Tage aber kamen sie zusammen im Lobetal; denn daselbst lobten sie den HERRN. Daher heißt die Stätte Lobetal bis auf diesen Tag.
27 Then all the men of Judah and Jerusalem went back, with Jehoshaphat at their head, coming back to Jerusalem with joy; for the Lord had made them glad over their haters.
27 Tous les hommes de Juda et de Jérusalem, ayant à leur tête Josaphat, partirent joyeux pour retourner à Jérusalem, car l'Éternel les avait remplis de joie en les délivrant de leurs ennemis.
27 Ansin d'fhill muintir Iúdá agus Bhiniáimin go léir, faoi cheannas Iahóiseáfát, ar ais go Iarúsailéim faoi lúcháir; óir bhí ábhar lúcháire faoina naimhde faighte acu ón Tiarna.
27 Y todo Judá y los de Jerusalem, y Josaphat á la cabeza de ellos, volvieron para tornarse á Jerusalem con gozo, porque Jehová les había dado gozo de sus enemigos.
27 Also kehrte jedermann von Juda und Jerusalem wieder um und Josaphat an der Spitze, daß sie gen Jerusalem zögen mit Freuden; denn der HERR hatte ihnen eine Freude gegeben an ihren Feinden.
28 So they came to Jerusalem with corded instruments and wind-instruments into the house of the Lord.

29 And the fear of God came on all the kingdoms of the lands, when they had news of how the Lord made war on those who came against Israel.
29 La terreur de l'Éternel s'empara de tous les royaumes des autres pays, lorsqu'ils apprirent que l'Éternel avait combattu contre les ennemis d'Israël.
29 agus tháinig eagla Dé ar ríochtaí uile na dtíortha iasachta nuair a chuala siad conas mar a throid an Tiarna in aghaidh naimhde Iosrael.
29 Y fué el pavor de Dios sobre todos los reinos de aquella tierra, cuando oyeron que Jehová había peleado contra los enemigos de Israel.
29 Und die Furcht Gottes kam über alle Königreiche in den Landen, da sie hörten, daß der HERR wider die Feinde Israels gestritten hatte.
30 So the kingdom of Jehoshaphat was quiet, for the Lord gave him rest on every side.
30 Et le royaume de Josaphat fut tranquille, et son Dieu lui donna du repos de tous côtés.

31 And Jehoshaphat was king over Judah: he was thirty-five years old when he became king, and he was ruling for twenty-five years in Jerusalem: his mother's name was Azubah, the daughter of Shilhi.
31 Josaphat régna sur Juda. Il avait trente-cinq ans lorsqu'il devint roi, et il régna vingt-cinq ans à Jérusalem. Sa mère s'appelait Azuba, fille de Schilchi.
31 Sin mar a bhí ag Iahóiseáfát i gcoróin Iúdá. Bhí sé cúig bliana déag ar fhichid nuair a tháinig sé i gcoróin agus bhí sé cúig bliana fichead i réim in Iarúsailéim. Azúbá iníon Shilchí ab ainm dá mháthair.
31 Así reinó Josaphat sobre Judá: de treinta y cinco años era cuando comenzó á reinar, y reinó veinte y cinco años en Jerusalem. El nombre de su madre fué Azuba, hija de Silhi.
31 Und Josaphat regierte über Juda und war fünfunddreißig Jahre alt, da er König ward, und regierte fünfundzwanzig Jahre zu Jerusalem. Seine Mutter hieß Asuba, eine Tochter Silhis.
32 He went in the ways of his father Asa, not turning away, but doing right in the eyes of the Lord.

33 The high places, however, were not taken away, and the hearts of the people were still not true to the God of their fathers.

37 Then the word of Eliezer the prophet, the son of Dodavahu of Mareshah, came against Jehoshaphat, saying, Because you have let yourself be joined with Ahaziah, the Lord has sent destruction on your works. And the ships were broken and were not able to go to Tarshish.
37 Alors Éliézer, fils de Dodava, de Maréscha, prophétisa contre Josaphat, et dit: Parce que tu t'es associé avec Achazia, l'Éternel détruit ton oeuvre. Et les navires furent brisés, et ne purent aller à Tarsis.
