1 Now Jehoshaphat had great wealth and honour, and his son was married to Ahab's daughter.
1 Josaphat eut en abondance des richesses et de la gloire, et il s'allia par mariage avec Achab.
1 Bhí Iahóiseáfát faoi bhláth maoine agus onóra, agus rinne sé cleamhnas le hAcháb.
1 Tenia pues Josaphat riquezas y gloria en abundancia, y trabó parentesco con Achâb.
1 Und Josaphat hatte große Reichtümer und Ehre und verschwägerte sich mit Ahab.
2 And after some years he went down to Samaria to see Ahab. And Ahab made a feast for him and the people who were with him, putting to death great numbers of sheep and oxen; and he got Jehoshaphat to go with him to Ramoth-gilead.
2 Au bout de quelques années, il descendit auprès d'Achab à Samarie; et Achab tua pour lui et pour le peuple qui était avec lui un grand nombre de brebis et de boeufs, et il le sollicita de monter à Ramoth en Galaad.
2 Tar éis roinnt blianta thug sé turas ar Acháb sa tSamáir. Mharaigh Acháb líon mór caorach agus damh dó féin agus dá lucht leanúna lena áiteamh air Rámot Gileád a ionsaí.
2 Y después de algunos años descendió á Achâb á Samaria; por lo que mató Achâb muchas ovejas y bueyes para él, y para la gente que con él venía: y persuadióle que fuese con él á Ramoth de Galaad.
2 Und nach etlichen Jahren zog er hinab zu Ahab gen Samaria. Und Ahab ließ ihn für das Volk, das bei ihm war, viel Schafe und Ochsen schlachten. Und er beredete ihn, daß er hinauf gen Ramoth in Gilead zöge.
3 For Ahab, king of Israel, said to Jehoshaphat, king of Judah, Will you go with me to Ramoth-gilead? And he said, I am as you are, and my people as your people; we will be with you in the war.
3 Achab, roi d'Israël, dit à Josaphat, roi de Juda: Veux-tu venir avec moi à Ramoth en Galaad? Josaphat lui répondit: Moi comme toi, et mon peuple comme ton peuple, nous irons l'attaquer avec toi.
3 Chuir Acháb rí Iosrael ceist ar Iahóiseáfát rí Iúdá: “An dtiocfaidh tú liom go Rámot Gileád?” D'fhreagair Iahóiseáfát: “Táimse chomh hullamh chun catha leat féin, agus mo mhuintirse le do mhuintirse.”
3 Y dijo Achâb rey de Israel á Josaphat rey de Judá: ¿Quieres venir conmigo á Ramoth de Galaad? Y él respondió: Como yo, así también tú; y como tu pueblo, así también mi pueblo: iremos contigo á la guerra.
3 Und Ahab, der König Israels, sprach zu Josaphat, dem König Juda's: Zieh mit mir gen Ramoth in Gilead! Er sprach zu ihm: Ich bin wie du, und mein Volk wie dein Volk; wir wollen mit dir in den Streit.
4 Then Jehoshaphat said to the king of Israel, Let us now get directions from the Lord.
4 Puis Josaphat dit au roi d'Israël: Consulte maintenant, je te prie, la parole de l'Éternel.
4 Ach dúirt Iahóiseáfát le rí Iosrael: “Faigh ar dtús comhairle an Tiarna.”
4 Además dijo Josaphat al rey de Israel: Ruégote que consultes hoy la palabra de Jehová.
4 Aber Josaphat sprach zum König Israels: Frage doch heute des HERRN Wort!
5 So the king of Israel got together all the prophets, four hundred men, and said to them, Am I to go to Ramoth-gilead to make war or not? And they said, Go up: for God will give it into the hands of the king.
5 Le roi d'Israël assembla les prophètes, au nombre de quatre cents, et leur dit: Irons-nous attaquer Ramoth en Galaad, ou dois-je y renoncer? Et ils répondirent: Monte, et Dieu la livrera entre les mains du roi.
5 Chruinnigh rí Iosrael na fáithe le chéile, dá bhrí sin, ceithre chéad díobh. “Ar chóir dúinn dul agus Rámot Gileád a ionsaí,” d'fhiafraigh sé díobh, “nó éirí as?” “Téigh,” ar siad, “mar tabharfaidh an Tiarna i lámha an rí é.”
5 Entonces el rey de Israel juntó cuatrocientos profetas, y díjoles: ¿Iremos á la guerra contra Ramoth de Galaad, ó estaréme yo quieto? Y ellos dijeron: Sube, que Dios los entregará en mano del rey.
5 Und der König Israels versammelte vierhundert Mann und sprach zu ihnen: Sollen wir gen Ramoth in Gilead ziehen in den Streit, oder soll ich's anstehen lassen? Sie sprachen: Zieh hinauf! Gott wird sie in deine Hand geben.
6 But Jehoshaphat said, Is there no other prophet of the Lord here from whom we may get directions?
6 Mais Josaphat dit: N'y a-t-il plus ici aucun prophète de l'Éternel, par qui nous puissions le consulter?
6 Ach dúirt Iahóiseáfát: “An bhfuil aon fháidh eile leis an Tiarna anseo againn le dul i gcomhairle leis?”
6 Mas Josaphat dijo: ¿Hay aún aquí algún profeta de Jehová, para que por él preguntemos?
6 Josaphat aber sprach: Ist nicht irgend noch ein Prophet des HERRN hier, daß wir durch ihn fragen?
7 And the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, There is still one man by whom we may get directions from the Lord, but I have no love for him, because he has never been a prophet of good to me, but only of evil: he is Micaiah, the son of Imla. And Jehoshaphat said, Let not the king say so.
7 Le roi d'Israël répondit à Josaphat: Il y a encore un homme par qui l'on pourrait consulter l'Éternel; mais je le hais, car il ne me prophétise rien de bon, il ne prophétise jamais que du mal: c'est Michée, fils de Jimla. Et Josaphat dit: Que le roi ne parle pas ainsi!
7 D'fhreagair rí Iosrael Iahóiseáfát: “Tá aon duine amháin eile lenar féidir linn comhairle an Tiarna a fháil, ach is gráin liom é mar nach mbíonn riamh tairngreacht fhónta aige domsa, ach drochchinn i gcónaí; Míocáia mac Imleá an duine sin.” “Níor chóir don rí a leithéid sin a rá,” arsa Iahóiseáfát.
7 Y el rey de Israel respondió á Josaphat: Aun hay aquí un hombre por el cual podemos preguntar á Jehová: mas yo le aborrezco, porque nunca me profetiza cosa buena, sino siempre mal. Este es Michêas, hijo de Imla. Y respondió Josaphat: No hable así el rey.
7 Der König Israels sprach zu Josaphat: Es ist noch ein Mann, daß man den HERRN durch ihn frage, aber ich bin ihm gram; denn er weissagt über mich kein Gutes, sondern allewege Böses, nämlich Micha, der Sohn Jemlas. Josaphat sprach: der König rede nicht also.
8 Then the king of Israel sent for one of his unsexed servants and said, Go quickly and come back with Micaiah, the son of Imla.
8 Alors le roi d'Israël appela un eunuque, et dit: Fais venir tout de suite Michée, fils de Jimla.
8 Chuir rí Iosrael fios ar dhuine de na coillteáin dá bhrí sin agus dúirt: “Tabhair Míocáia mac Imleá chugam gan mhoill.”
8 Entonces el rey de Israel llamó un eunuco, y díjole: Haz venir luego á Michêas hijo de Imla.
8 Und der König Israels rief einen seiner Kämmerer und sprach: Bringe eilend her Micha, den Sohn Jemlas!
9 Now the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat, the king of Judah, were seated on their seats of authority, dressed in their robes, by the doorway into Samaria; and all the prophets were acting as prophets before them.
9 Le roi d'Israël et Josaphat, roi de Juda, étaient assis chacun sur son trône, revêtus de leurs habits royaux; ils étaient assis dans la place à l'entrée de la porte de Samarie. Et tous les prophètes prophétisaient devant eux.
9 Bhí rí Iosrael agus Iahóiseáfát rí Iúdá ina suí ina ríchathaoireacha ina lánlibhré ag an urlár buailte ag geata na Samáire agus na fáithe go léir ag fáidheoireacht os a gcomhair.
9 Y el rey de Israel y Josaphat rey de Judá, estaban sentados cada uno en su trono, vestidos de sus ropas; y estaban sentados en la era á la entrada de la puerta de Samaria, y todos los profetas profetizaban delante de ellos.
9 Und der König Israels und Josaphat, der König Juda's, saßen ein jeglicher auf seinem Stuhl, mit ihren Kleider angezogen. Sie saßen aber auf dem Platz vor der Tür am Tor zu Samaria; und alle Propheten weissagten vor ihnen.
10 And Zedekiah, the son of Chenaanah, made himself iron horns and said, The Lord says, Pushing back the Aramaeans with these, you will put an end to them completely.
10 Sédécias, fils de Kenaana, s'était fait des cornes de fer, et il dit: Ainsi parle l'Éternel: Avec ces cornes, tu frapperas les Syriens jusqu'à les détruire.
10 Bhí adharca iarainn déanta ag Zidicíá mac Chanáná dó féin. “Seo mar a deir an Tiarna:” ar sé, “ ‘Déanfaidh tú na hAramaeigh a ropadh leo seo go dtí go scriosfaidh tú iad.’ ”
10 Y Sedechîas hijo de Chênaana se había hecho cuernos de hierro, y decía: Así ha dicho Jehová: Con estos acornearás á los Siros hasta destruirlos del todo.
10 Und Zedekia, der Sohn Knaenas, machte sich eiserne Hörner und sprach: So spricht der HERR: Hiermit wirst du die Syrer stoßen, bis du sie aufreibst.
11 And all the prophets said the same thing, saying, Go up to Ramoth-gilead, and it will go well for you, for the Lord will give it into the hands of the king.
11 Et tous les prophètes prophétisèrent de même, en disant: Monte à Ramoth en Galaad! tu auras du succès, et l'Éternel la livrera entre les mains du roi.
11 Rinne na fáithe go léir an tairngreacht chéanna: “Gluais leat go Rámot Gileád,” ar siad, “agus beir bua. Tabharfaidh an Tiarna i lámha an rí é.”
11 De esta manera profetizaban también todos los profetas, diciendo: Sube á Ramoth de Galaad, y sé prosperado; porque Jehová la entregará en mano del rey.
11 Und alle Propheten weissagten auch also und sprachen: Zieh hinauf gen Ramoth in Gilead! es wird dir gelingen; der HERR wird sie geben in des Königs Hand.
12 Now the servant who had gone to get Micaiah said to him, See now, all the prophets with one voice are saying good things to the king; so let your words be like theirs, and say good things.
12 Le messager qui était allé appeler Michée lui parla ainsi: Voici, les prophètes d'un commun accord prophétisent du bien au roi; que ta parole soit donc comme la parole de chacun d'eux! annonce du bien!
12 An teachtaire a chuaigh ag triall ar Mhíocáia, dúirt sé leis: “Seo iad na fáithe go léir ag labhairt ar aon fhocal le dea-thuar don rí. Labhairse ar aon dul leo agus déan tairngreacht fhabhrach.”
12 Y el mensajero que había ido á llamar á Michêas, le habló, diciendo: He aquí las palabras de los profetas á una boca anuncian al rey bienes; yo pues te ruego que tu palabra sea como la de uno de ellos, que hables bien.
12 Und der Bote, der hingegangen war, Micha zu rufen, redete mit ihm und sprach: Siehe, der Propheten Reden sind einträchtig gut für den König; laß doch dein Wort auch sein wie derselben eines und rede Gutes.
13 And Micaiah said, By the living Lord, whatever the Lord says to me I will say.
13 Michée répondit: L'Éternel est vivant! j'annoncerai ce que dira mon Dieu.
13 Ach d'fhreagair Míocáia: “Dar an Tiarna beo, cibé a déarfaidh mo Dhia, sin é an briathar a labhróidh mé.”
13 Y dijo Michêas: Vive Jehová, que lo que mi Dios me dijere, eso hablaré. Y vino al rey.
13 Micha aber sprach: So wahr der HERR lebt, was mein Gott sagen wird, das will ich reden.
14 When he came to the king, the king said to him, Micaiah, are we to go to Ramoth-gilead to make war or not? And he said, Go up, and it will go well for you; and they will be given up into your hands.
14 Lorsqu'il fut arrivé auprès du roi, le roi lui dit: Michée, irons-nous attaquer Ramoth en Galaad, ou dois-je y renoncer? Il répondit: Montez! vous aurez du succès, et ils seront livrés entre vos mains.
14 Nuair a tháinig sé chun an rí, dúirt an rí: “A Mhíocáia, ar chóir dúinn dul agus Rámot Gileád a ionsaí, nó ligean dó?” D'fhreagair sé: “Gluaisigí agus beirigí bua! Tabharfar in bhur lámha iad.”
14 Y el rey le dijo: Michêas, ¿iremos á pelear contra Ramoth de Galaad, ó estaréme yo quieto? Y él respondió: Subid, que seréis prosperados, que serán entregados en vuestras manos.
14 Und da er zum König kam, sprach der König zu ihm: Micha, sollen wir gen Ramoth in Gilead in den Streit ziehen, oder soll ich's lassen anstehen? Er sprach: Ja, ziehet hinauf! es wird euch gelingen; es wird euch in eure Hände gegeben werden.
15 And the king said to him, Have I not, again and again, put you on your oath to say nothing to me but what is true in the name of the Lord?
15 Et le roi lui dit: Combien de fois me faudra-t-il te faire jurer de ne me dire que la vérité au nom de l'Éternel?
15 Ach dúirt an rí: “An minic a chaithfidh mé thú a chur faoi bhrí na mionn gan ach an fhírinne a rá liom in ainm an Tiarna?”
15 Y el rey le dijo: ¿Hasta cuántas veces te conjuraré por el nombre de Jehová que no me hables sino la verdad?
15 Aber der König sprach zu ihm: Ich beschwöre dich noch einmal, daß du mir nichts denn die Wahrheit sagst im Namen des HERRN.
16 Then he said, I saw all Israel wandering on the mountains like sheep without a keeper; and the Lord said, These have no master: let them go back, every man to his house in peace.
16 Michée répondit: Je vois tout Israël dispersé sur les montagnes, comme des brebis qui n'ont point de berger; et l'Éternel dit: Ces gens n'ont point de maître, que chacun retourne en paix dans sa maison!
16 Ansin labhair Míocáia: “Chonaic mé Iosrael go léir scáinte ar na sléibhte mar chaoirigh gan aoire, agus dúirt an Tiarna: ‘Níl maistir orthu; téadh gach duine abhaile faoi shíocháin.’ ”
16 Entonces él dijo: He visto á todo Israel derramado por los montes como ovejas sin pastor: y dijo Jehová: Estos no tienen señor; vuélvase cada uno en paz en su casa.
16 Da sprach er: Ich sehe das ganze Israel zerstreut auf den Bergen wie Schafe, die keinen Hirten haben. Und der HERR sprach: Diese haben keinen HERRN; es kehre ein jeglicher wieder heim mit Frieden.
17 And the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, Did I not say that he would not be a prophet of good to me, but of evil?
17 Le roi d'Israël dit à Josaphat: Ne te l'ai-je pas dit? Il ne prophétise sur moi rien de bon, il ne prophétise que du mal.
17 Ansin dúirt rí Iosrael le Iahóiseáfát: “Nár dhúirt mé nach maith a thairngríonn sé dom riamh ach olc.”
17 Y el rey de Israel dijo á Josaphat: ¿No te había yo dicho que no me profetizaría bien, sino mal?
17 Da sprach der König Israels zu Josaphat: Sagte ich dir nicht: Er weissagt über mich kein Gutes, sondern Böses?
18 Then he said, Give ear now to the word of the Lord: I saw the Lord seated on his seat of power, and all the army of heaven in their places, at his right hand and at his left.
18 Et Michée dit: Écoutez donc la parole de l'Éternel! J'ai vu l'Éternel assis sur son trône, et toute l'armée des cieux se tenant à sa droite et à sa gauche.
18 Lean Míocáia air: “Éist más ea le briathar an Tiarna. Chonaic mé an Tiarna ina shuí ina ríchathaoir; bhí slua neimhe go léir ina seasamh ina láthair ar dheis agus ar a chlé.
18 Entonces él dijo: Oid pues palabra de Jehová: Yo he visto á Jehová sentado en su trono, y todo el ejército de los cielos estaba á su mano derecha y á su izquierda.
18 Er aber sprach: Darum höret des HERRN Wort! Ich sah den HERRN sitzen auf seinem Stuhl, und alles Himmlische Heer stand zu seiner Rechten und zu seiner Linken.
19 And the Lord said, How may Ahab, king of Israel, be tricked into going up to Ramoth-gilead to his death? And one said one thing and one another.
19 Et l'Éternel dit: Qui séduira Achab, roi d'Israël, pour qu'il monte à Ramoth en Galaad et qu'il y périsse? Ils répondirent l'un d'une manière, l'autre d'une autre.
19 Dúirt an Tiarna: ‘Cé mheallfaidh Acháb chun fód a bháis ag Rámot Gileád?’ Dúirt cuid díobh seo agus a thuilleadh siúd.
19 Y Jehová dijo: ¿Quién inducirá á Achâb rey de Israel, para que suba y caiga en Ramoth de Galaad? Y uno decía así, y otro decía de otra manera.
19 Und der HERR sprach: Wer will Ahab, den König Israels, überreden, daß er hinaufziehe und falle zu Ramoth in Gilead? Und da dieser so und jener anders sagte,
20 Then a spirit came forward and took his place before the Lord and said, I will get him to do it by a trick. And the Lord said to him, How?
20 Et un esprit vint se présenter devant l'Éternel, et dit: Moi, je le séduirai.
20 Ansin tháinig spiorad ar aghaidh agus sheas os comhair an Tiarna: ‘Déanfaidh mise é a mhealladh,’ ar sé. ‘Conas?’ arsa an Tiarna.
20 Mas salió un espíritu, que se puso delante de Jehová, y dijo: Yo le induciré. Y Jehová le dijo: ¿De qué modo?
20 kam ein Geist hervor und trat vor den HERRN und sprach: Ich will ihn überreden. Der HERR aber sprach zu ihm: Womit?
21 And he said, I will go out and be a spirit of deceit in the mouth of all his prophets. And the Lord said, Your trick will have its effect on him: go out and do so.
21 L'Éternel lui dit: Comment? Je sortirai, répondit-il, et je serai un esprit de mensonge dans la bouche de tous ses prophètes. L'Éternel dit: Tu le séduiras, et tu en viendras à bout; sors, et fais ainsi.
21 D'fhreagair sé: ‘Imeoidh mé agus beidh mé i mo spiorad éithigh i mbéal a fháithe go léir.’ ‘Meallfaidh tú é,’ arsa an Tiarna, ‘rithfidh leat. Téigh agus déan é.’
21 Y él dijo: Saldré y seré espíritu de mentira en la boca de todos los profetas. Y Jehová dijo: Incita, y también prevalece: sal, y hazlo así.
21 Er sprach: Ich will ausfahren und ein falscher Geist sein in aller Propheten Mund. Und er sprach: Du wirst ihn überreden und wirst es ausrichten; fahre hin und tue also!
22 And now, see, the Lord has put a spirit of deceit in the mouth of these prophets of yours; and the Lord has said evil against you.
22 Et maintenant, voici, l'Éternel a mis un esprit de mensonge dans la bouche de tes prophètes qui sont là. Et l'Éternel a prononcé du mal contre toi.
22 Féach anois, más ea, mar a chuir an Tiarna spiorad éithigh i mbéal d'fháithe anseo. Ach tá tubaiste fógartha ag an Tiarna i d'aghaidh.”
22 Y he aquí ahora ha puesto Jehová espíritu de mentira en la boca de estos tus profetas; mas Jehová ha decretado el mal acerca de ti.
22 Nun siehe, der HERR hat einen falschen Geist gegeben in dieser deiner Propheten Mund, und der HERR hat Böses wider dich geredet.
23 Then Zedekiah, the son of Chenaanah, came near and gave Micaiah a blow on the side of his face, saying, Where is the spirit of the Lord whose word is in you?
23 Alors Sédécias, fils de Kenaana, s'étant approché, frappa Michée sur la joue, et dit: Par quel chemin l'esprit de l'Éternel est-il sorti de moi pour te parler?
23 Tháinig Zidicíá mac Chanáná chun tosaigh ansin agus bhuail sé Míocáia i gcorrán a ghéill, agus dúirt: “Conas a d'fhág spiorad an Tiarna mise le labhairt leatsa?”
23 Entonces Sedechîas hijo de Chênaana se llegó á él, é hirió á Michêas en la mejilla, y dijo: ¿Por qué camino se apartó de mí el espíritu de Jehová para hablarte á ti?
23 Da trat herzu Zedekia, der Sohn Knaenas, und schlug Micha auf den Backen und sprach: Welchen Weg ist der Geist des HERRN von mir gegangen, daß er durch dich redete?
24 And Micaiah said, Truly, you will see on that day when you go into an inner room to keep yourself safe.
24 Michée répondit: Tu le verras au jour où tu iras de chambre en chambre pour te cacher.
24 “Sin rud a gheobhaidh tú amach,” d'fhreagair Míocáia, “an lá a theithfidh tú i seomra cúil le dul i bhfolach.”
24 Y Michêas respondió: He aquí tú lo verás aquel día, cuando te entrarás de cámara en cámara para esconderte.
24 Micha sprach: Siehe, du wirst es sehen des Tages, wenn du von einer Kammer in die andere gehen wirst, daß du dich versteckst.
25 And the king of Israel said, Take Micaiah and send him back to Amon, the ruler of the town, and to Joash, the king's son;
25 Le roi d'Israël dit: Prenez Michée et emmenez-le vers Amon, chef de la ville, et vers Joas, fils du roi.
25 Dúirt rí Iosrael: “Gabhaigí Míocáia agus tugaigí ar láimh é d'Ámón, rialtóir na cathrach, agus don phrionsa Ióáis,
25 Entonces el rey de Israel dijo: Tomad á Michêas, y volvedlo á Amón gobernador de la ciudad, y á Joas hijo del rey.
25 Aber der König Israels sprach: Nehmt Micha und laßt ihn bleiben bei Amon, dem Stadtvogt, und bei Joas, dem Sohn des Königs,
26 And say, By the king's order this man is to be put in prison, and given prison food till I come back in peace.
26 Vous direz: Ainsi parle le roi: Mettez cet homme en prison, et nourrissez-le du pain et de l'eau d'affliction, jusqu'à ce que je revienne en paix.
26 agus abraigí: ‘Seo iad orduithe an rí: Cuirigí an duine seo i bpríosún agus ná tugaigí mar chothú dó ach arán agus uisce go bhfille mé ar ais slán folláin.’ ”
26 Y diréis: El rey ha dicho así: Poned á éste en la cárcel, y sustentadle con pan de aflicción y agua de angustia, hasta que yo vuelva en paz.
26 und sagt: So spricht der König: Legt diesen ins Gefängnis und speist ihn mit Brot und Wasser der Trübsal, bis ich wiederkomme mit Frieden.
27 And Micaiah said, If you come back at all in peace, the Lord has not sent his word by me.
27 Et Michée dit: Si tu reviens en paix, l'Éternel n'a point parlé par moi. Il dit encore: Vous tous, peuples, entendez!
27 Dúirt Míocáia: “Má fhilleann tú slán folláin, níor labhair an Tiarna as mo bhéal.” [Agus dúirt sé: “Éistigí, a chiníocha go léir.”]
27 Y Michêas dijo: Si tú volvieres en paz, Jehová no ha hablado por mí. Dijo además: Oid lo, pueblos todos.
27 Micha sprach: Kommst du mit Frieden wieder, so hat der HERR nicht durch mich geredet. Und er sprach: Höret, ihr Völker alle!
28 So the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat, the king of Judah, went up to Ramoth-gilead.
28 Le roi d'Israël et Josaphat, roi de Juda, montèrent à Ramoth en Galaad.
28 Chuaigh rí Iosrael agus Iahóiseáfát rí Iúdá suas in aghaidh Rámot Gileád.
28 Subió pues el rey de Israel, y Josaphat rey de Judá, á Ramoth de Galaad.
28 Also zog hinauf der König Israels und Josaphat, der König Juda's, gen Ramoth in Gilead.
29 And the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, I will make a change in my clothing, so that I do not seem to be the king, and will go into the fight; but do you put on your robes. So the king of Israel made a change in his dress, and they went to the fight.
29 Le roi d'Israël dit à Josaphat: Je veux me déguiser pour aller au combat; mais toi, revêts-toi de tes habits. Et le roi d'Israël se déguisa, et ils allèrent au combat.
29 Dúirt rí Iosrael le Iahóiseáfát: “Cuirfidh mé bréagriocht orm féin agus mé ag dul sa chath, ach bíodh d'éidí rí ortsa.” Chuir rí Iosrael bréagriocht air féin agus chuaigh isteach sa chath.
29 Y dijo el rey de Israel á Josaphat: Yo me disfrazaré para entrar en la batalla: mas tú vístete tus vestidos. Y disfrazóse el rey de Israel, y entró en la batalla.
29 Und der König Israels sprach zu Josaphat: Ich will mich verkleiden und in den Streit kommen; du aber habe deine Kleider an. Und der König Israels verkleidete sich, und sie kamen in den Streit.
30 Now the king of Aram had given orders to the captains of his war-carriages, saying, Make no attack on small or great, but only on the king of Israel.
30 Le roi de Syrie avait donné cet ordre aux chefs de ses chars: Vous n'attaquerez ni petit ni grand, mais vous attaquerez seulement le roi d'Israël.
30 Thug rí Arám ordú dá cheannairí carbad: “Ná tugaigí fogha faoi aon duine beag ná mór, ach faoi rí Iosrael.”
30 Había el rey de Siria mandado á los capitanes de los carros que tenía consigo, diciendo: No peleéis con chico ni con grande, sino sólo con el rey de Israel.
30 Aber der König von Syrien hatte den Obersten über seine Wagen geboten: Ihr sollt nicht streiten, weder gegen klein noch gegen groß, sondern gegen den König Israels allein.
31 So when the captains of the war-carriages saw Jehoshaphat, they said, It is the king of Israel. And turning about, they came round him, but Jehoshaphat gave a cry, and the Lord came to his help, and God sent them away from him.
31 Quand les chefs des chars aperçurent Josaphat, ils dirent: C'est le roi d'Israël. Et ils l'entourèrent pour l'attaquer. Josaphat poussa un cri, et l'Éternel le secourut, et Dieu les écarta de lui.
31 Nuair a chonaic ceannairí na gcarbad Iahóiseáfát dúradar: “Sin é ar ndóigh, rí Iosrael,” agus d'iompaíodar air. Ach chuir Iahóiseáfát gáir suas, agus tháinig an Tiarna i gcabhair air agus chuir Dia iad dá n‑ionsaí air,
31 Y como los capitanes de los carros vieron á Josaphat, dijeron: Este es el rey de Israel. Y cercáronlo para pelear; mas Josaphat clamó, y ayudólo Jehová, y apartólos Dios de él:
31 Da nun die Obersten der Wagen Josaphat sahen, dachten sie: Es ist der König Israels! und umringten ihn, wider ihn zu streiten. Aber Josaphat schrie; und der HERR half ihm, und Gott wandte sie von ihm.
32 Now when the captains of the war-carriages saw that he was not the king of Israel, they went back from going after him.
32 Les chefs des chars, voyant que ce n'était pas le roi d'Israël, s'éloignèrent de lui.

32 Pues viendo los capitanes de los carros que no era el rey de Israel, desistieron de acosarle.
32 Denn da die Obersten der Wagen sahen, daß er nicht der König Israels war, wandten sie sich von ihm ab.
33 And a certain man sent an arrow from his bow without thought of its direction, and gave the king of Israel a wound where his breastplate was joined to his clothing; so he said to the driver of his war-carriage, Go to one side and take me away out of the army, for I am badly wounded.
33 Alors un homme tira de son arc au hasard, et frappa le roi d'Israël au défaut de la cuirasse. Le roi dit à celui qui dirigeait son char: Tourne, et fais-moi sortir du champ de bataille, car je suis blessé.
33 Ach tharraing duine de na saighdiúirí a bhogha de bhuille faoi thuairim, agus bhuail sé rí Iosrael idir éide chatha agus lúireach: “Iompaigh timpeall,” arsa an rí lena charbadóir, “agus beir leat as an gcath mé mar táim gonta.”
33 Mas disparando uno el arco á la ventura, hirió al rey de Israel entre las junturas y el coselete. El entonces dijo al carretero: Vuelve tu mano, y sácame del campo, porque estoy mal herido.
33 Es spannte aber ein Mann seinen Bogen von ungefähr und schoß den König Israels zwischen Panzer und Wehrgehänge. Da sprach er zu seinem Fuhrmann: Wende deine Hand und führe mich aus dem Heer, denn ich bin wund!
34 But the fight became more violent while the day went on; and the king of Israel was supported in his war-carriage facing the Aramaeans till the evening; and by sundown he was dead.
34 Le combat devint acharné ce jour-là. Le roi d'Israël fut retenu dans son char, en face des Syriens, jusqu'au soir, et il mourut vers le coucher du soleil.
