1 In the thirty-sixth year of the rule of Asa, Baasha, king of Israel, went up against Judah, building Ramah so that no one was able to go out or in to Asa, king of Judah.
1 La trente-sixième année du règne d'Asa, Baescha, roi d'Israël, monta contre Juda; et il bâtit Rama, pour empêcher ceux d'Asa, roi de Juda, de sortir et d'entrer.
1 Sa séú bliain tríochad de réimeas Ásá ghabh Báiseá rí Iosrael suas i gcoinne Iúdá agus dhaingnigh sé Rámá d'fhonn léigear a chur ar Ásá rí Iúdá.
1 En el año treinta y seis del reinado de Asa, subió Baasa rey de Israel contra Judá, y edificó á Rama, para no dejar salir ni entrar á ninguno al rey Asa, rey de Judá.
1 Im sechsundreißigsten Jahr des Königreichs Asas zog herauf Baesa, der König Israels, wider Juda und baute Rama, daß er Asa, dem König Juda's, wehrte aus und ein zu ziehen.
2 Then Asa took silver and gold out of the stores of the Lord's house and of the king's store-house, and sent to Ben-hadad, king of Aram, at Damascus, saying,
2 Asa sortit de l'argent et de l'or des trésors de la maison de l'Éternel et de la maison du roi, et il envoya des messagers vers Ben Hadad, roi de Syrie, qui habitait à Damas.
2 Thóg Ásá leis ansin an t‑airgead agus an t‑ór ó chistí Theampall an Tiarna agus phálás an rí agus sheol iad go Bein Hadad rí Arám a raibh cónaí air sa Damaisc leis an teachtaireacht:
2 Entonces sacó Asa la plata y el oro de los tesoros de la casa de Jehová y de la casa real, y envió á Ben-adad rey de Siria, que estaba en Damasco, diciendo:
2 Aber Asa nahm aus dem Schatz im Hause des HERRN und im Hause des Königs Silber und Gold und sandte zu Benhadad, dem König von Syrien, der zu Damaskus wohnte, und ließ ihm sagen:
3 Let there be an agreement between me and you as there was between my father and your father: see, I have sent you silver and gold; go and put an end to your agreement with Baasha, king of Israel, so that he may give up attacking me.
3 Il lui fit dire: Qu'il y ait une alliance entre moi et toi, comme il y en eut une entre mon père et ton père. Voici, je t'envoie de l'argent et de l'or. Va, romps ton alliance avec Baescha, roi d'Israël, afin qu'il s'éloigne de moi.
3 “Bíodh conradh idir mise agus thusa, faoi mar a bhí idir m'athair agus d'athairse. Féach, táim ag cur airgid agus óir chugat. Tar agus bris an conradh atá agat le Báiseá rí Iosrael agus caithfidh sé cúlú ó mo chríocha.”
3 Haya alianza entre mí y ti, como la hubo entre mi padre y tu padre; he aquí yo te he enviado plata y oro, para que vengas y deshagas la alianza que tienes con Baasa rey de Israel, á fin de que se retire de mí.
3 Es ist ein Bund zwischen mir und dir, zwischen meinem Vater und deinem Vater; darum habe ich dir Silber und Gold gesandt, daß du den Bund mit Baesa, dem König Israels fahren läßt, daß er von mir abziehe.
4 And Ben-hadad did as King Asa said, and sent the captains of his armies against the towns of Israel, attacking Ijon and Dan and Abel-maim, and all the store-towns of Naphtali.
4 Ben Hadad écouta le roi Asa; il envoya les chefs de son armée contre les villes d'Israël, et ils frappèrent Ijjon, Dan, Abel Maïm, et tous les magasins des villes de Nephthali.
4 D'aontaigh Bein Hadad agus sheol sé lucht ceannais a airm i gcoinne cathracha Iosrael. Ghabh sé Íón agus Dán agus Abael Máím agus cathracha stóir Naftáilí go léir.
4 Y consintió Ben-adad con el rey Asa, y envió los capitanes de sus ejércitos á la ciudades de Israel: y batieron á Ion, Dan, y Abel-maim, y las ciudades fuertes de Nephtalí.
4 Benhadad gehorchte dem König Asa und sandte seine Heerfürsten wider die Städte Israels; die schlugen Ijon, Dan und Abel-Maim und alle Kornstädte Naphthalis.
5 Then Baasha, hearing of it, put a stop to the building of Ramah, and let his work come to an end.
5 Lorsque Baescha l'apprit, il cessa de bâtir Rama et interrompit ses travaux.
5 Nuair a chuala Báiseá é sin, scor sé de bheith ag daingniú Rámá agus d'éirigh as an ngnó sin.
5 Y oyendo esto Baasa, cesó de edificar á Rama, y dejó su obra.
5 Da Baesa das hörte, ließ er ab Rama zu bauen, und hörte auf von seinem Werk.
6 Then King Asa, with all Judah, took away the stones and wood with which Baasha was building Ramah, and he made use of them for building Geba and Mizpah.
6 Le roi Asa occupa tout Juda à emporter les pierres et le bois que Baescha employait à la construction de Rama, et il s'en servit pour bâtir Guéba et Mitspa.
6 Thionóil Ásá rí Iúdá go léir agus thug siad chun siúil na clocha agus an t‑adhmad lena raibh Báiseá ag tógáil, agus leis an méid sin dhaingnigh sé Geaba agus Mizpeá.
6 Entonces el rey Asa tomó á todo Judá, y lleváronse de Rama la piedra y madera con que Baasa edificaba, y con ella edificó á Gibaa y Mizpa.
6 Aber der König Asa nahm zu sich das ganze Juda, und sie trugen die Steine und das Holz von Rama, womit Baesa baute; und er baute damit Geba und Mizpa.
7 At that time Hanani the seer came to Asa, king of Judah, and said to him, Because you have put your faith in the king of Aram and not in the Lord your God, the army of the king of Aram has got away out of your hands.
7 Dans ce temps-là, Hanani, le voyant, alla auprès d'Asa, roi de Juda, et lui dit: Parce que tu t'es appuyé sur le roi de Syrie et que tu ne t'es pas appuyé sur l'Éternel, ton Dieu, l'armée du roi de Syrie s'est échappée de tes mains.
7 Ansin a tháinig Hanáiní an físí go hÁsá rí Iúdá agus dúirt leis: “De bhrí nach raibh muinín agat as an Tiarna do Dhia, ach as rí Arám, sleamhnóidh arm rí Arám as do láimh.
7 En aquel tiempo vino Hanani vidente á Asa rey de Judá, y díjole: Por cuanto te has apoyado en el rey de Siria, y no te apoyaste en Jehová tu Dios, por eso el ejército del rey de Siria ha escapado de tus manos.
7 Zu der Zeit kam Hanani, der Seher, zu Asa, dem König Juda's, und sprach zu ihm: Daß du dich auf den König von Syrien verlassen hast und hast dich nicht auf den HERRN, deinen Gott, verlassen, darum ist die Macht des Königs von Syrien deiner Hand entronnen.
8 Were not the Ethiopians and the Lubim a very great army, with war-carriages and horsemen more than might be numbered? but because your faith was in the Lord, he gave them up into your hands.
8 Les Éthiopiens et les Libyens ne formaient-ils pas une grande armée, avec des chars et une multitude de cavaliers? Et cependant l'Éternel les a livrés entre tes mains, parce que tu t'étais appuyé sur lui.
8 Nárbh arm mór le hiliomad carbad agus marcach iad na Cúisigh agus na Libiaigh? Ach de bhrí gur chuir sibh bhur muinín sa Tiarna, nár tugadh ar láimh daoibh iad?
8 Los Etiopes y los Libios, ¿no eran un ejército numerosísimo, con carros y muy mucha gente de á caballo? con todo, porque te apoyaste en Jehová, él los entregó en tus manos.
8 Waren nicht die Mohren und Libyer ein große Menge mit sehr viel Wagen und Reitern? Doch da gab sie der HERR in deine Hand, da du dich auf ihn verließest.
9 For the eyes of the Lord go this way and that, through all the earth, letting it be seen that he is the strong support of those whose hearts are true to him. In this you have done foolishly, for from now you will have wars.
9 Car l'Éternel étend ses regards sur toute la terre, pour soutenir ceux dont le coeur est tout entier à lui. Tu as agi en insensé dans cette affaire, car dès à présent tu auras des guerres.
9 Ós rud é go mbíonn súile an Tiarna ar guardal ar fud chlár na cruinne lena chumhacht a chur i bhfeidhm ar mhaithe leo siúd a bhfuil a gcroí gan cháim ina leith, is baoth mar a rinne sibh sa ghnó seo; as seo amach beidh cogaí in bhur measc.”
9 Porque los ojos de Jehová contemplan toda la tierra, para corroborar á los que tienen corazón perfecto para con él. Locamente has hecho en esto; porque de aquí adelante habrá guerra contra ti.
9 Denn des HERRN Augen schauen alle Lande, daß er stärke die, so von ganzem Herzen an ihm sind. Du hast töricht getan; darum wirst du auch von nun an Kriege haben.
10 Then Asa was angry with the seer, and put him in prison, burning with wrath against him because of this thing. And at the same time Asa was cruel to some of the people.
10 Asa fut irrité contre le voyant, et il le fit mettre en prison, parce qu'il était en colère contre lui. Et dans le même temps Asa opprima aussi quelques-uns du peuple.
10 Chuir an físí fearg ar Ásá agus chuir an rí i ngeimhle i gcarcair é le barr feirge leis dá bharrsan; san am céanna thosaigh Ásá ar chos ar bolg a imirt ar chuid den phobal freisin.
10 Y enojado Asa contra el vidente, echólo en la casa de la cárcel, porque fué en extremo conmovido á causa de esto. Y oprimió Asa en aquel tiempo algunos del pueblo.
10 Aber Asa ward zornig über den Seher und legte ihn ins Gefängnis; denn er grollte ihm über diesem Stück. Und Asa unterdrückte etliche des Volkes zu der Zeit.
11 Now the acts of Asa, first and last, are recorded in the book of the kings of Judah and Israel.
11 Les actions d'Asa, les premières et les dernières, sont écrites dans le livre des rois de Juda et d'Israël.
11 Tá stair Ásá ó thús deireadh scríofa i Leabhar Ríthe Iúdá agus Iosrael.
11 Mas he aquí, los hechos de Asa, primeros y postreros, están escritos en el libro de los reyes de Judá y de Israel.
11 Die Geschichten aber Asas, beide, die ersten und die letzten, siehe, die sind geschrieben im Buch von den Königen Juda's und Israels.
12 In the thirty-ninth year of his rule, Asa had a very bad disease of the feet; but he did not go to the Lord for help in his disease, but to medical men.
12 La trente-neuvième année de son règne, Asa eut les pieds malades au point d'éprouver de grandes souffrances; même pendant sa maladie, il ne chercha pas l'Éternel, mais il consulta les médecins.
12 Bhuail drochghalar Ásá sna cosa an naoú bliain tríochad dá réimeas, agus ghéaraigh ar an ngalar. Ach ina ghalar ní dheachaigh sé i muinín an Tiarna ach i muinín dochtúirí.
12 Y el año treinta y nueve de su reinado enfermó Asa de los pies para arriba, y en su enfermedad no buscó á Jehová, sino á los médicos.
12 Und Asa ward krank an seinen Füßen im neununddreißigsten Jahr seines Königreichs, und seine Krankheit nahm sehr zu; und er suchte auch in seiner Krankheit den HERRN nicht, sondern die Ärzte.
13 So Asa went to rest with his fathers, and death came to him in the forty-first year of his rule.
13 Asa se coucha avec ses pères, et il mourut la quarante et unième année de son règne;
13 Chuaigh Ásá chun suain lena shinsir, d'éag sé san aonú bliain is daichead dá réimeas.
13 Y durmió Asa con sus padres, y murió en el año cuarenta y uno de su reinado.
13 Also entschlief Asa mit seinen Vätern und starb im einundvierzigsten Jahr seines Königreichs.
14 And they put him into the resting-place which he had made for himself in the town of David, in a bed full of sweet perfumes of all sorts of spices, made by the perfumer's art, and they made a great burning for him.
14 on l'enterra dans le sépulcre qu'il s'était creusé dans la ville de David. On le coucha sur un lit qu'on avait garni d'aromates et de parfums préparés selon l'art du parfumeur, et l'on en brûla en son honneur une quantité très considérable.
