1 Now when Rehoboam's position as king had been made certain, and he was strong, he gave up the law of the Lord, and all Israel with him.
1 Lorsque Roboam se fut affermi dans son royaume et qu'il eut acquis de la force, il abandonna la loi de l'Éternel, et tout Israël l'abandonna avec lui.
1 Agus a luaithe a bhí a údarás ríoga bunaithe go daingean, rinne sé féin agus Iosrael go léir chomh maith dlí an Tiarna a thréigean.
1 Y Como Roboam hubo confirmado el reino, dejó la ley de Jehová, y con él todo Israel.
1 Da aber das Königreich Rehabeams befestigt und bekräftigt ward, verließ er das Gesetz des HERRN und ganz Israel mit ihm.
2 Now in the fifth year of King Rehoboam, Shishak, king of Egypt, came up against Jerusalem, because of their sin against the Lord,
2 La cinquième année du règne de Roboam, Schischak, roi d'Égypte, monta contre Jérusalem, parce qu'ils avaient péché contre l'Éternel.
2 Sa chúigiú bliain de réimeas Rachabám tháinig Síseac rí na hÉigipte aníos i gcoinne Iarúsailéim mar go rabhthas mídhílis don Tiarna;
2 Y en el quinto año del rey Roboam subió Sisac rey de Egipto contra Jerusalem, (por cuanto se habían rebelado contra Jehová,)
2 Aber im fünften Jahr des Königs Rehabeam zog herauf Sisak, der König in Ägypten, wider Jerusalem (denn sie hatten sich versündigt am HERRN)
3 With twelve hundred war-carriages and sixty thousand horsemen: and the people who came with him out of Egypt were more than might be numbered: Lubim and Sukkiim and Ethiopians.
3 Il avait mille deux cents chars et soixante mille cavaliers; et il vint d'Égypte avec lui un peuple innombrable, des Libyens, des Sukkiens et des Éthiopiens.
3 bhí dhá chéad déag carbad agus trí fichid míle marcach, agus líon gan áireamh ón Éigipt ina theannta - Libiaigh, Suicím agus Aetópaigh.
3 Con mil y doscientos carros, y con sesenta mil hombres de á caballo: mas el pueblo que venía con él de Egipto, no tenía número; á saber, de Libios, Sukienos, y Etiopes.
3 mit tausendzweihundert Wagen und mit sechzigtausend Reiter, und das Volk war nicht zu zählen, das mit ihm kam aus Ägypten: Libyer, Suchiter und Mohren.
4 And he took the walled towns of Judah, and came as far as Jerusalem.
4 Il prit les villes fortes qui appartenaient à Juda, et arriva jusqu'à Jérusalem.
4 Ghabh sé cathracha daingne Iúdá agus tháinig chomh fada le Iarúsailéim.
4 Y tomó las ciudades fuertes de Judá, y llegó hasta Jerusalem.
4 Und er gewann die festen Städte, die in Juda waren, und kam bis gen Jerusalem.
5 Now Shemaiah the prophet came to Rehoboam and the chiefs of Judah, who had come together in Jerusalem because of Shishak, and said to them, The Lord has said, Because you have given me up, I have given you up into the hands of Shishak.
5 Alors Schemaeja, le prophète, se rendit auprès de Roboam et des chefs de Juda qui s'étaient retirés dans Jérusalem à l'approche de Schischak, et il leur dit: Ainsi parle l'Éternel: Vous m'avez abandonné; je vous abandonne aussi, et je vous livre entre les mains de Schischak.
5 Thionól Rachabám agus ceannairí Iúdá láimh le Iarúsailéim nuair a bhí Síseac ag bagairt, agus tháinig an fáidh Seamaiá chucu agus dúirt sé leo: “Mar seo a deir an Tiarna: ‘Thréig sibhse mise, agus dá bhrí sin d'fhág mise sibhse i láimh Shíseac.’ ”
5 Entonces vino Semeías profeta á Roboam y á los príncipes de Judá, que estaban reunidos en Jerusalem por causa de Sisac, y díjoles: Así ha dicho Jehová: Vosotros me habéis dejado, y yo también os he dejado en manos de Sisac.
5 Da kam Semaja, der Prophet, zu Rehabeam und zu den Obersten Juda's, die sich gen Jerusalem versammelt hatten vor Sisak, und sprach zu ihnen: So spricht der HERR: Ihr habt mich verlassen; darum habe ich euch auch verlassen in Sisaks Hand.
6 Then the chiefs of Israel and the king made themselves low and said, The Lord is upright.
6 Les chefs d'Israël et le roi s'humilièrent et dirent: L'Éternel est juste!
6 Ansin d'umhlaigh ceannairí Iúdá agus an rí iad féin agus dúirt: “Is cóir é an Tiarna.”
6 Y los príncipes de Israel y el rey se humillaron, y dijeron: Justo es Jehová.
6 Da demütigten sich die Obersten in Israel mit dem König und sprachen: Der HERR ist gerecht.
7 And the Lord, seeing that they had made themselves low, said to Shemaiah, They have made themselves low: I will not send destruction on them, but in a short time I will give them salvation, and will not let loose my wrath on Jerusalem by the hand of Shishak.
7 Et quand l'Éternel vit qu'ils s'humiliaient, la parole de l'Éternel fut ainsi adressée à Schemaeja: Ils se sont humiliés, je ne les détruirai pas, je ne tarderai pas à les secourir, et ma colère ne se répandra pas sur Jérusalem par Schischak;
7 Nuair a chonaic an Tiarna gur umhlaíodar iad féin, tháinig briathar an Tiarna go Seamaiá. “Rinne siad iad féin a umhlú,” dúirt sé, “agus ní dhéanfaidh mé iad a scriosadh. Fóirfidh mé orthu ar ball beag. Ní luífidh mo fhearg ar Iarúsailéim trí láimh Shíseac.
7 Y como vió Jehová que se habían humillado, fué palabra de Jehová á Semeías, diciendo: Hanse humillado; no los destruiré; antes los salvare en breve, y no se derramará mi ira contra Jerusalem por mano de Sisac.
7 Als aber der HERR sah, daß sie sich demütigten, kam das Wort des HERRN zu Semaja und sprach: Sie haben sich gedemütigt; darum will ich sie nicht verderben, sondern ich will ihnen ein wenig Errettung geben, daß mein Grimm nicht triefe auf Jerusalem durch Sisak.
8 But still they will become his servants, so that they may see how different my yoke is from the yoke of the kingdoms of the lands.
8 mais ils lui seront assujettis, et ils sauront ce que c'est que me servir ou servir les royaumes des autres pays.
8 Beidh siad ina ndaoir aige mar sin féin i dtreo go dtuigfidís a bhfuil idir seirbhís domsa agus seirbhís do ríochtaí na dtíortha iasachta.”
8 Empero serán sus siervos; para que sepan qué es servirme á mí, y servir á los reinos de las naciones.
8 Doch sollen sie ihm untertan sein, daß sie innewerden, was es sei, mir dienen und den Königreichen in den Landen dienen.
9 So Shishak, king of Egypt, came up against Jerusalem and took away all the stored wealth of the house of the Lord and the king's house: he took everything away, and with the rest the gold body-covers which Solomon had made.
9 Schischak, roi d'Égypte, monta contre Jérusalem. Il prit les trésors de la maison de l'Éternel et les trésors de la maison du roi, il prit tout. Il prit les boucliers d'or que Salomon avait faits.
9 Tháinig Síseac rí ná hÉigipte aníos más ea in aghaidh Iarúsailéim, agus thug sé leis na seoda ó Theampall an Tiarna agus na seoda ón bpálás ríoga; thug sé gach rud leis, fiú na sciatha óir go léir a rinne Solamh.
9 Subió pues Sisac rey de Egipto á Jerusalem, y tomó los tesoros de la casa de Jehová, y los tesoros de la casa del rey; todo lo llevó: y tomó los paveses de oro que Salomón había hecho.
9 Also zog Sisak, der König in Ägypten, herauf gen Jerusalem und nahm die Schätze im Hause des HERRN und die Schätze im Hause des Königs und nahm alles weg und nahm auch die goldenen Schilde, die Salomo machen ließ.
10 And in their place King Rehoboam had other body-covers made of brass and gave them into the care of the captains of the armed men who were stationed at the door of the king's house.
10 Le roi Roboam fit à leur place des boucliers d'airain, et il les remit aux soins des chefs des coureurs, qui gardaient l'entrée de la maison du roi.
10 Ina n‑áitsean rinne Rachabám sciatha cré-umha, agus chuir iad faoi chúram oifigigh gharda gheata pháláis an rí.
10 Y en lugar de ellos hizo el rey Roboam paveses de metal, y entrególos en manos de los jefes de la guardia, los cuales custodiaban la entrada de la casa del rey.
10 An deren Statt ließ der König Rehabeam eherne Schilde machen und befahl sie den Obersten der Trabanten, die an der Tür des Königshauses hüteten.
11 And whenever the king went into the house of the Lord, the armed men went with him taking the body-covers, and then took them back to their room.
11 Toutes les fois que le roi allait à la maison de l'Éternel, les coureurs venaient et les portaient; puis ils les rapportaient dans la chambre des coureurs.
11 Aon uair a théadh an rí chun an Teampaill, d'iompraíodh na gardaí iad, agus thugaidís ar ais chun seomra an gharda iad ina dhiaidh sin.
11 Y cuando el rey iba á la casa de Jehová, venían los de la guardia, y traíanlos, y después los volvían á la cámara de la guardia.
11 Und so oft der König in des HERRN Haus ging, kamen die Trabanten und trugen sie und brachten sie wieder in der Trabanten Kammer.
12 And when he made himself low, the wrath of the Lord was turned back from him, and complete destruction did not come on him, for there was still some good in Judah.
12 Comme Roboam s'était humilié, l'Éternel détourna de lui sa colère et ne le détruisit pas entièrement. Et il y avait encore de bonnes choses en Juda.
12 De bhrí gur umhlaigh sé é féin, d'iompaigh fearg an Tiarna uaidh agus níor scrios sé ar fad é. Bhí an scéal go maith acu in Iúdá.
12 Y como él se humilló, la ira de Jehová se apartó de él, para no destruirlo del todo: y también en Judá las cosas fueron bien.
12 Und weil er sich demütigte, wandte sich des HERRN Zorn von ihm, daß nicht alles verderbt ward. Denn es war in Juda noch etwas Gutes.
13 So King Rehoboam made himself strong in Jerusalem and was ruling there. Rehoboam was forty-one years old when he became king, and he was ruling for seventeen years in Jerusalem, the town which the Lord had made his out of all the tribes of Israel, to put his name there; and his mother's name was Naamah, an Ammonite woman.
13 Le roi Roboam s'affermit dans Jérusalem et régna. Il avait quarante et un ans lorsqu'il devint roi, et il régna dix-sept ans à Jérusalem, la ville que l'Éternel avait choisie sur toutes les tribus d'Israël pour y mettre son nom. Sa mère s'appelait Naama, l'Ammonite.
13 Dhaingnigh Rachabám a fhlaitheas in Iarúsailéim agus bhí faoi réim ann. Bhí Rachabám bliain agus daichead d'aois nuair a tháinig sé i gcoróin, agus bhí sé seacht mbliana déag i réim in Iarúsailéim, an chathair ar threibheanna Iosrael go léir a thogh an Tiarna lena ainm a lonnú ann. Námá, an tAmónach mná, ab ainm dá mháthair.
13 Fortificado pues Roboam, reinó en Jerusalem: y era Roboam de cuarenta y un años cuando comenzó á reinar, y diecisiete años reinó en Jerusalem, ciudad que escogió Jehová de todas las tribus de Israel, para poner en ella su nombre. Y el nombre de su madre fué Naama Ammonita.
13 Also ward Rehabeam, der König, bekräftigt in Jerusalem und regierte. Einundvierzig Jahre alt war Rehabeam da er König ward, und regierte siebzehn Jahre zu Jerusalem in der Stadt, die der HERR erwählt hatte aus allen Stämmen Israels, daß er seinen Namen dahin stellte. Seine Mutter hieß Naema, eine Ammonitin.
14 And he did evil because his heart was not true to the Lord.
14 Il fit le mal, parce qu'il n'appliqua pas son coeur à chercher l'Éternel.
14 Rinne sé an t‑olc mar nár luigh sé ó chroí le tóraíocht an Tiarna.
14 E hizo lo malo, porque no apercibió su corazón para buscar á Jehová.
14 Und er handelte übel und schickte sein Herz nicht, daß er den HERRN suchte.
15 Now the acts of Rehoboam, first and last, are they not recorded in the words of Shemaiah the prophet and Iddo the seer? And there were wars between Rehoboam and Jeroboam all their days.
15 Les actions de Roboam, les premières et les dernières, ne sont-elles pas écrites dans les livres de Schemaeja, le prophète et d'Iddo, le prophète, parmi les registres généalogiques? Il y eut toujours guerre entre Roboam et Jéroboam.
15 An chuid eile de stair Rachabám ó thús deireadh, nach bhfuil sé go léir scríofa in Annála Sheamaiá an fáidh, agus Ideo an físí, faoi eagrú na Léivíteach agus faoin tsíorchogaíocht idir Rachabám agus Iarobám?
15 Y las cosas de Roboam, primeras y postreras, ¿no están escritas en los libros de Semeías profeta y de Iddo vidente, en la cuenta de los linajes? Y entre Roboam y Jeroboam hubo perpetua guerra.
15 Die Geschichten aber Rehabeams, beide, die ersten und die letzten, sind geschrieben in den Geschichten Semajas, des Propheten, und Iddos, des Sehers, und aufgezeichnet, dazu die Kriege Rehabeam und Jerobeam ihr Leben lang.
16 And Rehoboam went to rest with his fathers, and was put into the earth in the town of David; and Abijah his son became king in his place.
16 Roboam se coucha avec ses pères, et il fut enterré dans la ville de David. Et Abija, son fils, régna à sa place.
