1 And Rehoboam came to Jerusalem, and got together the men of Judah and Benjamin, a hundred and eighty thousand of his best fighting-men, to make war against Israel and get the kingdom back for Rehoboam.
1 Roboam, arrivé à Jérusalem, rassembla la maison de Juda et de Benjamin, cent quatre-vingt mille hommes d'élite propres à la guerre, pour qu'ils combattissent contre Israël afin de le ramener sous la domination de Roboam.
1 Ghabh Rachabám suas go Iarúsailéim agus chuir sé tionól ar theaghlach Iúdá agus ar Bhiniáimin, céad agus a hochtó míle de thogha na ngaiscíoch, ionas go gcuirfí cath ar theaghlach Iosrael agus go mbuafaí a ríocht ar ais do Rachabám.
1 Y Como vino Roboam á Jerusalem, juntó la casa de Judá y de Benjamín, ciento y ochenta mil hombres escogidos de guerra, para pelear contra Israel y volver el reino á Roboam.
1 Und da Rehabeam gen Jerusalem kam, versammelte er das ganze Haus Juda und Benjamin, hunderundachtzigtausend junger Mannschaft, die streitbar waren, wider Israel zu streiten, daß sie das Königreich wieder an Rehabeam brächten.
2 But the word of the Lord came to Shemaiah, the man of God, saying,
2 Mais la parole de l'Éternel fut ainsi adressée à Schemaeja, homme de Dieu:
2 Ach tháinig briathar an Tiarna go Seamaiá, an giolla Dé, agus dúirt:
2 Mas fué palabra de Jehová á Semeías varón de Dios, diciendo:
2 Aber das Wort des HERRN kam zu Semaja, dem Mann Gottes, und sprach:
3 Say to Rehoboam, the son of Solomon, king of Judah, and to all Israel in Judah and Benjamin,
3 Parle à Roboam, fils de Salomon, roi de Juda, et à tout Israël en Juda et en Benjamin. Et dis-leur:
3 “Abair é seo le Rachabám, mac Sholaimh, rí Iúdá, agus leis na hIosraelaigh go léir in Iúdá agus i mBiniáimin:
3 Habla á Roboam hijo de Salomón, rey de Judá, y á todos los Israelitas en Judá y Benjamín, diciéndoles:
3 Sage Rehabeam, dem Sohn Salomos, dem König Juda's, und dem ganzen Israel, das in Juda und Benjamin ist, und sprich:
4 The Lord has said, You are not to go to war against your brothers: let every man go back to his house, for this thing is my purpose. So they gave ear to the words of the Lord and were turned back from fighting against Jeroboam.
4 Ainsi parle l'Éternel: Ne montez point, et ne faites pas la guerre à vos frères! Que chacun de vous retourne dans sa maison, car c'est de par moi que cette chose est arrivée. Ils obéirent aux paroles de l'Éternel, et ils s'en retournèrent, renonçant à marcher contre Jéroboam.
4 Mar seo a deir an Tiarna: ‘Ná téigí chun troda in aghaidh bhur mbráithre. Filleadh gach duine ar a bhaile; an rud seo a tharla, is mise is cúis leis.’ ” D'éisteadar le briathar an Tiarna agus d'fhilleadar in ionad máirseáil in aghaidh Iarobám.
4 Así ha dicho Jehová: No subáis ni peleéis contra vuestros hermanos; vuélvase casa uno á su casa, porque yo he hecho este negocio. Y ellos oyeron la palabra de Jehová, y tornáronse, y no fueron contra Jeroboam.
4 So spricht der HERR: Ihr sollt nicht hinaufziehen noch wider eure Brüder streiten; ein jeglicher gehe wieder heim; denn das ist von mir geschehen. Sie gehorchten dem HERRN und ließen ab von dem Zug wider Jerobeam.
5 Now Rehoboam kept in Jerusalem, building walled towns in Judah.
5 Roboam demeura à Jérusalem, et il bâtit des villes fortes en Juda.
5 Chuir Rachabám faoi in Iarúsailéim agus thóg sé cathracha daingne in Iúdá.
5 Y habitó Roboam en Jerusalem, y edificó ciudades para fortificar á Judá.
5 Rehabeam aber wohnte zu Jerusalem und baute Städte zu Festungen in Juda,
6 He was the builder of Beth-lehem and Etam and Tekoa

10 And Zorah and Aijalon and Hebron, walled towns in Judah and Benjamin.
10 Tsorea, Ajalon et Hébron, qui étaient en Juda et en Benjamin, et il en fit des villes fortes.
10 agus Zorá agus Aiálón agus Heabrón, cathracha daingne in Iúdá agus i mBiniáimin.
10 Y á Sora, y á Ajalón, y á Hebrón, que eran en Judá y en Benjamín, ciudades fuertes.
10 Zora, Ajalon und Hebron, welche waren die festen Städte in Juda und Benjamin;
11 And he made the walled towns strong, and he put captains in them and stores of food, oil, and wine.
11 Il les fortifia, et y établit des commandants, et des magasins de vivres, d'huile et de vin.
11 Dhaingnigh sé na dúnta agus chuir ceannasaithe iontu agus stórais bhia agus ola agus fíona.
11 Fortificó también las fortalezas, y puso en ellas capitanes, y vituallas, y vino, y aceite;
11 und machte sie stark und setzte Fürsten darein und Vorrat von Speise, Öl und Wein.
12 And in every town he put stores of body-covers and spears, and made them very strong. And Judah and Benjamin were his.
12 Il mit dans chacune de ces villes des boucliers et des lances, et il les rendit très fortes. Juda et Benjamin étaient à lui.
12 Chuir sé sciatha agus gathanna sna cathracha go léir agus neartaigh sé go mór iad le Iúdá agus Biniáimin a choimeád faoi smacht.
12 Y en todas las ciudades, escudos y lanzas. Fortificólas pues en gran manera, y Judá y Benjamín le estaban sujetos.
12 Und in allen Städten schaffte er Schilde und Spieße und machte sie sehr stark. Juda und Benjamin waren unter ihm.
13 And the priests and Levites who were in all Israel came together to him from every part of their country.
13 Les sacrificateurs et les Lévites qui se trouvaient dans tout Israël quittèrent leurs demeures pour se rendre auprès de lui;
13 D'fhág na sagairt agus na Léivítigh go léir na háiteanna ina raibh siad ar fud Iosrael agus thángadar chun cónaithe in aice leis.
13 Y los sacerdotes y Levitas que estaban en todo Israel, se juntaron á él de todos sus términos.
13 Auch machten sich zu ihm die Priester und Leviten aus ganz Israel und allem Gebiet;
14 For the Levites gave up their living-places and their property, and came to Judah and Jerusalem; for Jeroboam and his sons had sent them away, not letting them be priests to the Lord;
14 car les Lévites abandonnèrent leurs banlieues et leurs propriétés et vinrent en Juda et à Jérusalem, parce que Jéroboam et ses fils les empêchèrent de remplir leurs fonctions comme sacrificateurs de l'Éternel.
14 Thréig na Léivítigh a dtailte féaraigh agus a ngabháltais agus tháinig siad go Iúdá agus Iarúsailéim, mar dhíbir Iarobám agus a mhic iad as sagartacht an Tiarna,
14 Porque los Levitas dejaban sus ejidos y sus posesiones, y se venían á Judá y á Jerusalem: pues Jeroboam y sus hijos los echaban del ministerio de Jehová.
14 denn die Leviten verließen ihre Vorstädte und Habe und kamen zu Juda gen Jerusalem. Denn Jerobeam und seine Söhne verstießen sie, daß sie vor dem HERRN nicht des Priesteramtes pflegen konnten.
15 And he himself made priests for the high places, and for the images of he-goats and oxen which he had made.
15 Jéroboam établit des sacrificateurs pour les hauts lieux, pour les boucs, et pour les veaux qu'il avait faits.
15 agus cheap sé a shagairt féin do na hardionaid, do na bocánaigh, agus do na laonna a rinne sé.
15 Y él se hizo sacerdotes para los altos, y para los demonios, y para los becerros que él había hecho.
15 Er stiftete sich aber Priester zu den Höhen und zu den Feldteufeln und Kälbern, die er machen ließ.
16 And after them, from all the tribes of Israel, all those whose hearts were fixed and true to the Lord, the God of Israel, came to Jerusalem to make offerings to the Lord, the God of their fathers.
16 Ceux de toutes les tribus d'Israël qui avaient à coeur de chercher l'Éternel, le Dieu d'Israël, suivirent les Lévites à Jérusalem pour sacrifier à l'Éternel, le Dieu de leurs pères.
16 Baill de threibheanna Iosrael, daoine a bhí tíolactha ar fad do sheirbhís an Tiarna Dia Iosrael, lean siad iad agus tháinig siad go Iarúsailéim le híobairt a dhéanamh don Tiarna, Dia a sinsear.
16 Tras aquéllos acudieron también de todas las tribus de Israel los que habían puesto su corazón en buscar á Jehová Dios de Israel; y viniéronse á Jerusalem para sacrificar á Jehová, el Dios de sus padres.
16 Und nach ihnen kamen aus allen Stämmen Israels, die ihr Herz gaben, daß sie nach dem HERRN, dem Gott Israels, fragten, gen Jerusalem, daß sie opferten dem HERRN, dem Gott ihrer Väter.
17 So they went on increasing the power of the kingdom of Judah, and made Rehoboam, the son of Solomon, strong for three years; and for three years they went in the ways of David and Solomon.
17 Ils donnèrent ainsi de la force au royaume de Juda, et affermirent Roboam, fils de Salomon, pendant trois ans; car ils marchèrent pendant trois ans dans la voie de David et de Salomon.
17 Chuireadarsan le neart ríocht Iúdá agus bhí siad ina dtaca ag Rachabám mac Sholaimh ar feadh trí bliana, mar lean sé sampla Dháiví agus Sholaimh ar feadh trí bliana. Mídhílse Rachabám
17 Así fortificaron el reino de Judá, y confirmaron á Roboam hijo de Salomón, por tres años; porque tres años anduvieron en el camino de David y de Salomón.
17 Und stärkten also das Königreich Juda und befestigten Rehabeam, den Sohn Salomos, drei Jahre lang; denn sie wandelten in den Wegen Davids und Salomos drei Jahre.
18 And Rehoboam took as his wife Mahalath, the daughter of Jerimoth, the son of David and of Abihail, the daughter of Eliab, the son of Jesse;
18 Roboam prit pour femme Mahalath, fille de Jerimoth, fils de David et d'Abichaïl, fille d'Éliab, fils d'Isaï.
18 Ghlac Rachabám mar chéile, Machalat, iníon Irímiot mac Dháiví, agus Aibiochaíl iníon Eilíáb mac Ieise.
18 Y tomóse Roboam por mujer á Mahalath, hija de Jerimoth hijo de David, y á Abihail, hija de Eliab hijo de Esaí.
18 Und Rehabeam nahm Mahalath, die Tochter Jerimoths, des Sohnes Davids, zum Weibe und Abihail, die Tochter Eliabs, des Sohnes Isais.
19 And she had sons by him, Jeush, Shemariah, and Zaham.
19 Elle lui enfanta des fils: Jeusch, Schemaria et Zaham.
19 Rug sí clann mhac dó: Ieúis, Seamairiá agus Záham.
19 La cual le parió hijos: á Jeus, y á Samaria, y á Zaham.
19 Die gebar ihm diese Söhne: Jeus, Semarja und Saham.
20 And after her he took Maacah, the daughter of Absalom; and she had Abijah and Attai and Ziza and Shelomith by him.
20 Après elle, il prit Maaca, fille d'Absalom. Elle lui enfanta Abija, Attaï, Ziza et Schelomith.
20 Ina diaidh sin ghlac sé Mácá iníon Aibseálóm mar chéile agus rug sí Aibíá, Atai, Zízeá, agus Sealomaít.
20 Después de ella tomó á Maachâ hija de Absalom, la cual le parió á Abías, á Athai, Ziza, y Selomith.

21 Maacah, the daughter of Absalom, was dearer to Rehoboam than all his wives and his servant-wives: (for he had eighteen wives and sixty servant-wives, and was the father of twenty-eight sons and sixty daughters.)
21 Roboam aimait Maaca, fille d'Absalom, plus que toutes ses femmes et ses concubines; car il eut dix-huit femmes et soixante concubines, et il engendra vingt-huit fils et soixante filles.
21 Thug Rachabám grá do Mhácá iníon Aibseálóm thar a mhná agus a leannáin go léir. Bhí, dála an scéil, ocht mbean déag aige agus trí fichid leannán, agus bhí ochtar mac ar fhichid aige agus trí fichid iníon.
21 Mas Roboam amó á Maachâ hija de Absalom sobre todas sus mujeres y concubinas; porque tomó diez y ocho mujeres y sesenta concubinas, y engendró veintiocho hijos y sesenta hijas.
21 Aber Rehabeam hatte Maacha, die Tochter Absaloms, lieber denn alle seine Weiber und Kebsweiber; denn er hatte achtzehn Weiber und sechzig Kebsweiber und zeugte achtundzwanzig Söhne und sechzig Töchter.
22 Rehoboam made Abijah, the son of Maacah, chief and ruler among his brothers, for it was his purpose to make him king.
22 Roboam donna le premier rang à Abija, fils de Maaca, et l'établit chef parmi ses frères, car il voulait le faire roi.

22 Y puso Roboam á Abías hijo de Maachâ por cabeza y príncipe de sus hermanos, porque quería hacerle rey.
22 Und Rehabeam setzte Abia, den Sohn Maachas, zum Haupt und Fürsten unter seinen Brüdern; denn er gedachte ihn zum König zu machen.
23 And in his wisdom he had his sons stationed in every walled town through all the lands of Judah and Benjamin; and he gave them a great store of food, and took wives for them.
23 Il agit avec habileté en dispersant tous ses fils dans toutes les contrées de Juda et de Benjamin, dans toutes les villes fortes; il leur fournit des vivres en abondance, et demanda pour eux une multitude de femmes.
