1 Now it was Solomon's purpose to put up a house for the name of the Lord and a house for himself as king.
1 Salomon ordonna que l'on bâtît une maison au nom de l'Éternel et une maison royale pour lui.

1 Determino pues Salomón edificar casa al nombre de Jehová, y otra casa para su reino.
1 Und Salomo gedachte zu bauen ein Haus dem Namen des HERRN und ein Haus seines Königreichs.
2 And Solomon had seventy thousand men numbered for transport, and eighty thousand for cutting stone in the mountains, and three thousand, six hundred as overseers.
2 Salomon compta soixante-dix mille hommes pour porter les fardeaux, quatre-vingt mille pour tailler les pierres dans la montagne, et trois mille six cents pour les surveiller.
2 Cheap Solamh seachtó míle fear leis na hualaí a iompar agus ochtó míle fear le clocha a bhaint ar na sléibhte, agus trí mhíle sé chéad le maoirseacht a dhéanamh orthu.
2 Y contó Salomón setenta mil hombres que llevasen cargas, y ochenta mil hombres que cortasen en el monte, y tres mil y seiscientos que los gobernasen.
2 Und Salomo zählte ab siebzigtausend, die da Last trugen, und achtzigtausend, die da Steine hieben auf dem Berge, und dreitausend und sechshundert Aufseher über sie.
3 And Solomon sent to Huram, king of Tyre, saying, As you did for my father David, sending him cedar-trees for the building of his house,
3 Salomon envoya dire à Huram, roi de Tyr: Fais pour moi comme tu as fait pour David, mon père, à qui tu as envoyé des cèdres afin qu'il se bâtît une maison d'habitation.
3 Chuir Solamh an teachtaireacht seo go Húrám rí na Tuíre: “Déan liomsa mar a rinne tú le Dáiví m'athair, agus gur sheol tú céadair chuige le teach a thógáil ina gcónódh sé.
3 Y envió á decir Salomón á Hiram rey de Tiro: Haz conmigo como hiciste con David mi padre, enviándole cedros para que edificara para sí casa en que morase.
3 Und Salomo sandte zu Huram, dem König zu Tyrus, und ließ ihm sagen: Wie du mit meinem Vater David tatest und ihm sandtest Zedern, daß er sich ein Haus baute, darin er wohnte.
4 See! I am building a house for the name of the Lord my God, to be made holy to him, where perfumes of sweet spices will be burned before him, and the holy bread will be placed at all times, and burned offerings will be offered morning and evening, on the Sabbaths and at the new moons, and on the regular feasts of the Lord our God. This is a law for ever to Israel.
4 Voici, j'élève une maison au nom de l'Éternel, mon Dieu, pour la lui consacrer, pour brûler devant lui le parfum odoriférant, pour présenter continuellement les pains de proposition, et pour offrir les holocaustes du matin et du soir, des sabbats, des nouvelles lunes, et des fêtes de l'Éternel, notre Dieu, suivant une loi perpétuelle pour Israël.
4 Táim ag tógáil tí anois d'ainm an Tiarna mo Dhia lena thíolacadh dó le túis spíosraí cumhra a dhó os a chomhair agus le harán an taispeántais a ofráil i gcónaí, agus le híobairtí a loscadh maidin agus tráthnóna, ar na sabóidí agus ar an ré nua, agus ar shollúntais an Tiarna, ár nDia, mar atá ceaptha go deo d'Iosrael.
4 He aquí yo tengo que edificar casa al nombre de Jehová mi Dios, para consagrársela, para quemar perfumes aromáticos delante de él, y para la colocación continua de los panes de la proposición, y para holocaustos á mañana y tarde, y los sábados, y nuevas lunas, y festividades de Jehová nuestro Dios; lo cual ha de ser perpetuo en Israel.
4 Siehe, ich will dem Namen des HERRN, meines Gottes, ein Haus bauen, das ihm geheiligt werde, gutes Räuchwerk vor ihm zu räuchern und Schaubrote allewege zuzurichten und Brandopfer des Morgens und des Abends auf die Sabbate und Neumonde und auf die Feste des HERRN, unsers Gottes, ewiglich für Israel.
5 And the house which I am building is to be great, for our God is greater than all gods.
5 La maison que je vais bâtir doit être grande, car notre Dieu est plus grand que tous les dieux.
5 Teach mór a bheidh sa teach atáim a thógáil, mar is mó ár nDia ná na déithe go léir.
5 Y la casa que tengo que edificar, ha de ser grande: porque el Dios nuestro es grande sobre todos los dioses.
5 Und das Haus, das ich bauen will soll groß sein; denn unser Gott ist größer als alle Götter.
6 But who may have strength enough to make a house for him, seeing that the heaven and the heaven of heavens are not wide enough to be his resting-place? who am I then to make a house for him? But I am building it only for the burning of perfume before him.
6 Mais qui a le pouvoir de lui bâtir une maison, puisque les cieux et les cieux des cieux ne peuvent le contenir? Et qui suis-je pour lui bâtir une maison, si ce n'est pour faire brûler des parfums devant lui?
6 Ach cé ar féidir leis teach a thógáil dó ón uair nach féidir leis na flaithis, ná flaithis na bhflaitheas, é a chuimsiú? Agus maidir liomsa, cad chuige a dtógfainnse teach dó ach mar áit ina ndófainn túis os a chomhair?
6 Mas ¿quién será tan poderoso que le edifique casa? Los cielos y los cielos de los cielos no le pueden comprender; ¿quién pues soy yo, que le edifique casa, sino para quemar perfumes delante de él?
6 Aber wer vermag's, daß er ihm ein Haus baue? denn der Himmel und aller Himmel Himmel können ihn nicht fassen. Wer sollte ich denn sein, daß ich ihm ein Haus baute? es sei denn um vor ihm zu räuchern.
7 So now send me an expert worker in gold and silver and brass and iron? in purple and red and blue, and in the cutting of all sorts of ornament, to be with the expert workmen who are here in Judah and in Jerusalem, whom my father David got together.
7 Envoie-moi donc un homme habile pour les ouvrages en or, en argent, en airain et en fer, en étoffes teintes en pourpre, en cramoisi et en bleu, et connaissant la sculpture, afin qu'il travaille avec les hommes habiles qui sont auprès de moi en Juda et à Jérusalem et que David, mon père, a choisis.
7 Cuir chugam dá bhrí sin fear oilte ar shaothar óir, airgid, cré-umha, iarainn, agus ar éidí corcra, craoraga, agus ar éidí gorma, agus ar cheird an ghreanta chomh maith. Níor mhór dó oibriú le mo cheardaithe oilte anseo in Iarúsailéim agus in Iúdá, an mhuintir a sholáthraigh m'athair Dáiví.
7 Envíame pues ahora un hombre hábil, que sepa trabajar en oro, y en plata, y en metal, y en hierro, en púrpura, y en grana, y en cárdeno, y que sepa esculpir con los maestros que están conmigo en Judá y en Jerusalem, los cuales previno mi padre.
7 So sende mir nun einen weisen Mann, zu arbeiten mit Gold, Silber, Erz, Eisen, rotem Purpur, Scharlach und blauem Purpur und der da wisse einzugraben mit den Weisen, die bei mir sind in Juda und Jerusalem, welche mein Vater David bestellt hat.
8 And send me cedar-trees, cypress-trees and sandal-wood from Lebanon, for, to my knowledge, your servants are expert wood-cutters in Lebanon; and my servants will be with yours,
8 Envoie-moi aussi du Liban des bois de cèdre, de cyprès et de santal; car je sais que tes serviteurs s'entendent à couper les bois du Liban. Voici, mes serviteurs seront avec les tiens.
8 Cuir chugam adhmad céadair, cufróige, agus algum ón Liobáin, mar tá fhios agam go bhfuil do shearbhóntaí oilte ar leagan crann sa Liobáin. Déanfaidh mo shearbhóntaíse comhar le do shearbhóntaíse.
8 Envíame también madera de cedro, de haya, de pino, del Líbano: porque yo sé que tus siervos entienden de cortar madera en el Líbano; y he aquí, mis siervos irán con los tuyos,
8 Und sende mir Zedern-,Tannen-und Sandelholz vom Libanon; denn ich weiß, daß deine Knechte das Holz zu hauen wissen auf dem Libanon. Und siehe, meine Knechte sollen mit deinen Knechten sein,
9 To get trees for me in great numbers, for the house which I am building is to be great and a wonder.
9 Que l'on me prépare du bois en abondance, car la maison que je vais bâtir sera grande et magnifique.
9 Déanfaidh siad raidhse adhmaid a ullmhú dom, mar is teach ábhalmhór an teach atá le tógáil agam.
9 Para que me apresten mucha madera, porque la casa que tengo de edificar ha de ser grande y portentosa.
9 daß man mir viel Holz zubereite; denn das Haus, das ich bauen will, soll groß und sonderlich sein.
10 And I will give as food to your servants, the wood-cutters, twenty thousand measures of grain, and twenty thousand measures of barley and twenty thousand measures of wine and twenty thousand measures of oil.
10 Je donnerai à tes serviteurs qui couperont, qui abattront les bois, vingt mille cors de froment foulé, vingt mille cors d'orge, vingt mille baths de vin, et vingt mille baths d'huile.
10 Tabharfaidh mé fiche míle tomhas de chruithneacht mheilte, fiche míle tomhas eorna, fiche míle tomhas fíona agus fiche míle tomhas ola do do shearbhóntaí i mbun na gcrann a leagan - ar son do shearbhóntaí a [chothú] an méid sin.”
10 Y he aquí para los operarios tus siervos, cortadores de la madera, he dado veinte mil coros de trigo en grano, y veinte mil coros de cebada, y veinte mil batos de vino, y veinte mil batos de aceite.
10 Und siehe, ich will den Zimmerleuten, deinen Knechten, die das Holz hauen, zwanzigtausend Kor Gerste und zwanzigtausend Kor Weizen und zwanzigtausend Bath Wein und zwanzigtausend Bath Öl geben.
11 Then Huram, king of Tyre, sent Solomon an answer in writing, saying, Because of his love for his people the Lord has made you king over them.
11 Huram, roi de Tyr, répondit dans une lettre qu'il envoya à Salomon: C'est parce que l'Éternel aime son peuple qu'il t'a établi roi sur eux.
11 D'fhreagair Húrám rí na Tuíre i litir a chuir sé go Solamh: “Le barr grá dá phobal a rinne an Tiarna rí díot ós a gcionn.” Agus lean Húrám air:
11 Entonces Hiram rey de Tiro respondió por letras, las que envió á Salomón: Porque Jehová amó á su pueblo, te ha puesto por rey sobre ellos.
11 Da sprach Huram, der König zu Tyrus, durch Schrift und sandte zu Salomo: Darum daß der HERR sein Volk liebt, hat er dich über sie zum König gemacht.
12 And Huram said, Praise be to the Lord, the God of Israel, maker of heaven and earth, who has given to David the king a wise son, full of wisdom and good sense, to be the builder of a house for the Lord and a house for himself as king.
12 Huram dit encore: Béni soit l'Éternel, le Dieu d'Israël, qui a fait les cieux et la terre, de ce qu'il a donné au roi David un fils sage, prudent et intelligent, qui va bâtir une maison à l'Éternel et une maison royale pour lui!
12 “Moladh leis an Tiarna, Dia Iosrael, a rinne neamh agus talamh, a thug mac eagnaí do Dháiví, a bhfuil tuiscint agus ciall aige, agus a thógfaidh teach don Tiarna agus ceann eile dó féin agus dá chúirt.
12 Y además decía Hiram: Bendito sea Jehová el Dios de Israel, que hizo los cielos y la tierra, y que dió al rey David hijo sabio, entendido, cuerdo y prudente, que edifique casa á Jehová, y casa para su reino.
12 Und Huram sprach weiter: Gelobt sei der HERR, der Gott Israels, der da Himmel und Erde gemacht hat, daß er dem König David hat einen weisen, klugen und verständigen Sohn gegeben, der dem HERRN ein Haus baue und ein Haus seines Königreichs.
13 And now I am sending you a wise and expert man, Huram who is as my father,
13 Je t'envoie donc un homme habile et intelligent,
13 Tá ceardaí oilte á chur agam chugat freisin, Húrám Áibí,
13 Yo pues te he enviado un hombre hábil y entendido, que fué de Hiram mi padre,
13 So sende ich nun einen weisen Mann, der Verstand hat, Huram, meinen Meister
14 The son of a woman of the daughters of Dan, whose father was a man of Tyre, an expert worker in gold and silver and brass and iron, in stone and wood, in purple and blue and fair linen and red, trained in the cutting of every sort of ornament and the invention of every sort of design; let him be given a place among your expert workmen and those of my lord, your father David.
14 Huram Abi, fils d'une femme d'entre les filles de Dan, et d'un père Tyrien. Il est habile pour les ouvrages en or, en argent, en airain et en fer, en pierre et en bois, en étoffes teintes en pourpre et en bleu, en étoffes de byssus et de carmin, et pour toute espèce de sculptures et d'objets d'art qu'on lui donne à exécuter. Il travaillera avec tes hommes habiles et avec les hommes habiles de mon seigneur David, ton père.
14 mac mná de chuid na nDánach ach fear ón Tuír mar athair aige. Tá sé oilte ar shaothar óir, airgid, cré-umha, iarainn, cloiche, adhmaid, agus ar éidí corcra, gorma, craoraga, agus ar línéadach mín, agus ar gach sórt greanadh a dhéanamh, agus ar aon phatrún a iarrtar air a chur i gcrích. Cuirtear i mbun oibre é le do cheardaithe féin agus le ceardaithe mo thiarna, Dáiví, d'athair.
14 Hijo de una mujer de las hijas de Dan, mas su padre fué de Tiro; el cual sabe trabajar en oro, y plata, y metal, y hierro, en piedra y en madera, en púrpura, y en cárdeno, en lino y en carmesí; asimismo para esculpir todas figuras, y sacar toda suerte de diseño que se le propusiere, y estar con tus hombres peritos, y con los de mi señor David tu padre.
14 (der ein Sohn ist eines Weibes aus den Töchtern Dans, und dessen Vater ein Tyrer gewesen ist); der weiß zu arbeiten an Gold, Silber, Erz, Eisen, Steinen, Holz, rotem und blauem Purpur, köstlicher weißer Leinwand und Scharlach und einzugraben allerlei und allerlei kunstreich zu machen, was man ihm aufgibt, mit deinen Weisen und mit den Weisen meines Herrn, des Königs Davids, deines Vaters.
15 So now let my lord send to his servants the grain and the oil and the wine as my lord has said;
15 Maintenant, que mon seigneur envoie à ses serviteurs le froment, l'orge, l'huile et le vin dont il a parlé.
15 Cuireadh mo thiarna dá bhrí sin an chruithneacht, an eorna, an ola, agus an fíon a luaigh sé, chun a shearbhóntaí.
15 Ahora pues, enviará mi señor á sus siervos el trigo y cebada, y aceite y vino, que ha dicho;
15 So sende nun mein Herr Weizen, Gerste, Öl und Wein seinen Knechten, wie er geredet hat;
16 And we will have wood cut from Lebanon, as much as you have need of, and will send it to you on flat boats by sea to Joppa, and from there you may take it up to Jerusalem.
16 Et nous, nous couperons des bois du Liban autant que tu en auras besoin; nous te les expédierons par mer en radeaux jusqu'à Japho, et tu les feras monter à Jérusalem.
16 Agus maidir linne, déanfaimid cibé adhmad is gá duit ón Liobáin a ghearradh agus a thabhairt chugat ar cheann téide ar muir go Iopá le gur féidir duit féin é a thabhairt as sin go Iarúsailéim.”
16 Y nosotros cortaremos en el Líbano la madera que hubieres menester, y te la traeremos en balsas por la mar hasta Joppe, y tú la harás llevar hasta Jerusalem.
16 so wollen wir das Holz hauen auf dem Libanon, wieviel es not ist, und wollen's auf Flößen bringen im Meer gen Japho; von da magst du es hinauf gen Jerusalem bringen.
17 Then Solomon took the number of all the men from strange lands who were living in Israel, as his father David had done; there were a hundred and fifty-three thousand, six hundred.
17 Salomon compta tous les étrangers qui étaient dans le pays d'Israël, et dont le dénombrement avait été fait par David, son père. On en trouva cent cinquante-trois mille six cents.
17 Rinne Solamh áireamh ar na daoine deoranta go léir a raibh cónaí orthu i dtír Iosrael de réir an daonáirimh a rinne Dáiví a athair orthu. Ba é an líon a fuarthas ná céad agus caoga trí mhíle sé chéad.
17 Y contó Salomón todos los hombres extranjeros que estaban en la tierra de Israel, después de haberlos ya contado David su padre, y fueron hallados ciento cincuenta y tres mil seiscientos.
17 Und Salomo zählte alle Fremdlinge im Lande Israel nach dem, daß David, sein Vater, sie gezählt hatte; und wurden gefunden hundert und fünfzigtausend dreitausend und sechshundert.
18 Seventy thousand he put to the work of transport, eighty thousand to cutting stone in the mountains, and three thousand, six hundred as overseers to put the people to work.
18 Et il en prit soixante-dix mille pour porter les fardeaux, quatre-vingt mille pour tailler les pierres dans la montagne, et trois mille six cents pour surveiller et faire travailler le peuple.
