1 And Solomon, the son of David, made himself strong in his kingdom, and the Lord his God was with him, and made him very great.
1 Salomon, fils de David, s'affermit dans son règne; l'Éternel, son Dieu, fut avec lui, et l'éleva à un haut degré.

1 Y Salomon hijo de David fué afirmado en su reino; y Jehová su Dios fué con él, y le engrandeció sobremanera.
1 Und Salomo, der Sohn Davids, ward in seinem Reich bekräftigt; und der HERR, sein Gott, war mit ihm und machte ihn immer größer.
2 And Solomon sent word to all Israel, to the captains of thousands and of hundreds and to the judges and to every chief in all Israel, heads of their families.
2 Salomon donna des ordres à tout Israël, aux chefs de milliers et de centaines, aux juges, aux princes de tout Israël, aux chefs des maisons paternelles;
2 Labhair Solamh ansin le hIosrael go léir, le ceannairí míle agus le ceannairí céad, leis na breithiúna, agus le flatha Iosrael agus le cinn na bhfiní.
2 Y llamó Salomón á todo Israel, tribunos, centuriones, y jueces, y á todos los príncipes de todo Israel, cabezas de familias.
2 Und Salomo redete mit dem ganzen Israel, mit den Obersten über tausend und hundert, mit den Richtern und mit allen Fürsten in Israel, mit den Obersten der Vaterhäuser,
3 Then Solomon, and all the men of Israel with him, went to the high place at Gibeon, because the Tent of meeting of God, which Moses, the servant of the Lord, had made in the waste land, was there.
3 et Salomon se rendit avec toute l'assemblée au haut lieu qui était à Gabaon. Là se trouvait la tente d'assignation de Dieu, faite dans le désert par Moïse, serviteur de l'Éternel;
3 Ansin chuaigh Solamh, agus an comhthionól go léir in éineacht leis, go dtí an t‑ardionad i nGibeón, mar a raibh Both Theagmhála Dé a rinne Maois, giolla Dé, san fhásach.
3 Y fué Salomón, y con él toda esta junta, al alto que había en Gabaón; porque allí estaba el tabernáculo del testimonio de Dios, que Moisés siervo de Jehová había hecho en el desierto.
3 daß sie hingingen, Salomo und die ganze Gemeinde mit ihm, zu der Höhe, die zu Gibeon war; denn daselbst war die Hütte des Stifts Gottes, die Mose, der Knecht des HERRN, gemacht hatte in der Wüste.
4 But the ark of God had been moved by David from Kiriath-jearim to the place which he had made ready for it, for he had put up a tent for it at Jerusalem.
4 mais l'arche de Dieu avait été transportée par David de Kirjath Jearim à la place qu'il lui avait préparée, car il avait dressé pour elle une tente à Jérusalem.
4 Ach bhí áirc Dé tugtha ag Dáiví ó Chiriat Iáraím go dtí an áit a bhí ullamh aige di, mar bhí both curtha suas aige di in Iarúsailéim.
4 Mas David había traído el arca de Dios de Chîriath-jearim al lugar que él le había preparado; porque él le había tendido una tienda en Jerusalem.
4 (Aber die Lade Gottes hatte David heraufgebracht von Kirjath-Jearim an den Ort, den er bereitet hatte; denn er hatte ihr eine Hütte aufgeschlagen zu Jerusalem.)
5 And the altar of brass which Bezalel, the son of Uri, the son of Hur, had made, was there before the Tent of the Lord; and Solomon and all the people went to give worship there.
5 Là se trouvait aussi, devant le tabernacle de l'Éternel, l'autel d'airain qu'avait fait Betsaleel, fils d'Uri, fils de Hur. Salomon et l'assemblée cherchèrent l'Éternel.
5 An altóir chré-umha a rinne Bazalael mac Úirí mac Húr, bhí sí ansiúd os comhair thaibearnacal an Tiarna. Chuaigh Solamh agus a chomhthionól ansiúd.
5 Asimismo el altar de bronce que había hecho Bezaleel hijo de Uri hijo de Hur, estaba allí delante del tabernáculo de Jehová, al cual fué á consultar Salomón con aquella junta.
5 Aber der eherne Altar, den Bezaleel, der Sohn Uris, des Sohnes Hurs, gemacht hatte, war daselbst vor der Wohnung des HERRN; und Salomo und die Gemeinde pflegten ihn zu suchen.
6 And Solomon went up there to the brass altar before the Lord at the Tent of meeting, offering on it a thousand burned offerings.
6 Et ce fut là, sur l'autel d'airain qui était devant la tente d'assignation, que Salomon offrit à l'Éternel mille holocaustes.
6 Ghabh Solamh suas ansiúd ar an altóir chré- umha, a bhí taobh le Both na Teagmhála, i bhfianaise an Tiarna, agus d'ofráil míle ofráil uileloiscthe uirthi.
6 Subió pues Salomón allá delante de Jehová, al altar de bronce que estaba en el tabernáculo del testimonio, y ofreció sobre él mil holocaustos.
6 Und Salomo opferte auf dem ehernen Altar vor dem HERRN, der vor der Hütte des Stifts stand, tausend Brandopfer.
7 In that night God came to Solomon in a vision, and said to him, Say what I am to give you.
7 Pendant la nuit, Dieu apparut à Salomon et lui dit: Demande ce que tu veux que je te donne.
7 Thaispeáin an Tiarna é féin do Sholamh an oíche sin agus dúirt: “Cibe rud is main leat a fháil uaim iarr orm é.”
7 Y aquella noche apareció Dios á Salomón, y díjole: Demanda lo que quisieres que yo te dé.
7 In derselben Nacht aber erschien Gott Salomo und sprach zu ihm: Bitte, was soll ich dir geben?
8 And Solomon said to God, Great was your mercy to David my father, and you have made me king in his place.
8 Salomon répondit à Dieu: Tu as traité David, mon père, avec une grande bienveillance, et tu m'as fait régner à sa place.
8 D'fhreagair Solamh Dia: “Thaispeáin tú barr cineáltais go buan do Dháiví, m'athair; agus rinne tú rí díomsa i gcomharbacht air.
8 Y Salomón dijo á Dios: Tú has hecho con David mi padre grande misericordia, y á mí me has puesto por rey en lugar suyo.
8 Und Salomo sprach zu Gott: Du hast große Barmherzigkeit an meinem Vater David getan und hast mich an seiner Statt zum König gemacht;
9 Now, O Lord God, let your word to David my father come true; for you have made me king over a people like the dust of the earth in number.
9 Maintenant, Éternel Dieu, que ta promesse à David, mon père, s'accomplisse, puisque tu m'as fait régner sur un peuple nombreux comme la poussière de la terre!
9 A Thiarna, a Dhia, tá an gealltanas a thug tú do Dháiví m'athair comhlíonta anois mar rinne tú rí díom ar phobal atá chomh líonmhar le deannach na talún.
9 Confírmese pues ahora, oh Jehová Dios, tu palabra dada á David mi padre; porque tú me has puesto por rey sobre un pueblo en muchedumbre como el polvo de la tierra.
9 so laß nun, HERR, Gott, deine Worte wahr werden an meinem Vater David; denn du hast mich zum König gemacht über ein Volk, des so viel ist als Staub auf Erden.
10 Give me now wisdom and knowledge, so that I may go out and come in before this people: for who is able to be the judge of this great people of yours?
10 Accorde-moi donc de la sagesse et de l'intelligence, afin que je sache me conduire à la tête de ce peuple! Car qui pourrait juger ton peuple, ce peuple si grand?
10 Tabhair dom anois eagna agus tuiscint le mo phobal a threorú óir cé a d'fhéadfadh pobal chomh mór leis seo a rialú?”
10 Dame ahora sabiduría y ciencia, para salir y entrar delante de este pueblo: porque ¿quién podrá juzgar este tu pueblo tan grande?
10 So gib mir nun Weisheit und Erkenntnis, daß ich vor diesem Volk aus und ein gehe; denn wer kann dies dein großes Volk richten?
11 And God said to Solomon, Because this was in your heart, and you did not make request for money, property, or honour, or for the destruction of your haters, or for long life; but you have made request for wisdom and knowledge for yourself, so that you may be the judge of my people over whom I have made you king:
11 Dieu dit à Salomon: Puisque c'est là ce qui est dans ton coeur, puisque tu ne demandes ni des richesses, ni des biens, ni de la gloire, ni la mort de tes ennemis, ni même une longue vie, et que tu demandes pour toi de la sagesse et de l'intelligence afin de juger mon peuple sur lequel je t'ai fait régner,
11 Dúirt Dia le Solamh: “De bhrí gurb é seo a bhí i do chroí agus a d'iarr tú, agus nach saibhreas, ná stór, ná onóir, ná bás do naimhde, ná fiú fad saoil, ach eagna agus tuiscint duit féin, le mo phobal ar ar chuir mé thú mar rí a rialú,
11 Y dijo Dios á Salomón: Por cuanto esto fué en tu corazón, que no pediste riquezas, hacienda, ó gloria, ni el alma de los que te quieren mal, ni pediste muchos días, sino que has pedido para ti sabiduría y ciencia para juzgar mi pueblo, sobre el cual te he puesto por rey,
11 Da sprach Gott zu Salomo: Weil du das im Sinn hast und hast nicht um Reichtum noch um Gut noch um Ehre noch um deiner Feinde Seele noch um langes Leben gebeten, sondern hast um Weisheit und Erkenntnis gebeten, daß du mein Volk richten mögst, darüber ich dich zum König gemacht habe,
12 Wisdom and knowledge are given to you; and I will give you wealth and honour, such as no king has had before you or ever will have after you.
12 la sagesse et l'intelligence te sont accordées. Je te donnerai, en outre, des richesses, des biens et de la gloire, comme n'en a jamais eu aucun roi avant toi et comme n'en aura aucun après toi.
12 uime sin tá eagna agus tuiscint á mbronnadh ort. Tabharfaidh mé duit chomh maith, saibhreas agus maoin agus onóir, nach raibh a leithéid ag aon duine de na ríthe a bhí ann romhat agus nach mbeidh ag aon duine i do dhiaidh.”
12 Sabiduría y ciencia te es dada; y también te daré riquezas, hacienda, y gloria, cual nunca hubo en los reyes que han sido antes de ti, ni después de ti habrá tal.
12 so sei dir Weisheit und Erkenntnis gegeben; dazu will ich dir Reichtum und Gut und Ehre geben, daß deinesgleichen unter den Königen vor dir nicht gewesen ist noch werden soll nach dir.
13 So Solomon went back from the high place at Gibeon, from before the Tent of meeting, to Jerusalem; and he was king over Israel.
13 Salomon revint à Jérusalem, après avoir quitté le haut lieu qui était à Gabaon et la tente d'assignation. Et il régna sur Israël.
13 D'imigh Solamh leis ón ardionad i nGibeón, ó Bhoth na Teagmhála, agus tháinig go Iarúsailéim. Bhí sé ina rí ar Iosrael.
13 Y volvió Salomón á Jerusalem del alto que estaba en Gabaón, de ante el tabernáculo del testimonio; y reinó sobre Israel.
13 Also kam Salomo von der Höhe, die zu Gibeon war, von der Hütte des Stifts, gen Jerusalem und regierte über Israel.
14 And Solomon got together war-carriages and horsemen; he had one thousand, four hundred carriages and twelve thousand horsemen, which he kept, some in the carriage-towns and some with the king at Jerusalem.
14 Salomon rassembla des chars et de la cavalerie; il avait quatorze cents chars et douze mille cavaliers, qu'il plaça dans les villes où il tenait ses chars et à Jérusalem près du roi.
14 Bhailigh sé fórsa carbad agus capall. Bhí ceithre chéad déag carbad aige agus dhá mhíle déag capall, agus bhuanaigh sé iad sna cathracha carbad agus leis an rí in Iarúsailéim.
14 Y juntó Salomón carros y gente de á caballo; y tuvo mil y cuatrocientos carros, y doce mil jinetes, los cuales puso en las ciudades de los carros, y con el rey en Jerusalem.
14 Und Salomo sammelte sich Wagen und Reiter, daß er zuwege brachte tausendundvierhundert Wagen und zwölftausend Reiter, und legte sie in die Wagenstädte und zu dem König nach Jerusalem.
15 And the king made silver and gold as common as stones in Jerusalem, and cedar like the sycamore-trees of the lowland in number.
15 Le roi rendit l'argent et l'or aussi communs à Jérusalem que les pierres, et les cèdres aussi communs que les sycomores qui croissent dans la plaine.
15 D'fhág an rí go raibh airgead chomh coiteann céanna le clocha in Iarúsailéim, agus céadair chomh flúirseach le seiceamair na nÍsleán.
15 Y puso el rey plata y oro en Jerusalem como piedras, y cedro como cabrahigos que nacen en los campos en abundancia.
15 Und der König machte, daß des Silbers und Goldes so viel war zu Jerusalem wie die Steine und der Zedern wie die Maulbeerbäume in den Gründen.
16 And Solomon's horses came out of Egypt; the king's traders got them from Kue at a price.
16 C'était de l'Égypte que Salomon tirait ses chevaux; une caravane de marchands du roi allait les chercher par troupes à un prix fixe;
16 Dhéantaí capaill Sholaimh a allmhairiú ó Chilicia agus ghlacadh gníomhairí an rí leo ó Chicilia ar phraghas cinnte.
16 Y sacaban caballos y lienzos finos de Egipto para Salomón; pues por contrato tomaban allí los mercaderes del rey caballos y lienzos.
16 Und man brachte Salomo Rosse aus Ägypten und allerlei Ware; und die Kaufleute des Königs kauften die Ware
17 A war-carriage might be got from Egypt for six hundred shekels of silver, and a horse for a hundred and fifty: they got them at the same rate for all the kings of the Hittites and the kings of Aram.
17 on faisait monter et sortir d'Égypte un char pour six cents sicles d'argent, et un cheval pour cent cinquante sicles. Ils en amenaient de même avec eux pour tous les rois des Héthiens et pour les rois de Syrie.
