1 And Hiram, king of Tyre, sent men to David with cedar-trees, and stoneworkers and woodworkers for the building of his house.
1 Hiram, roi de Tyr, envoya des messagers à David, et du bois de cèdre, et des tailleurs de pierres et des charpentiers, pour lui bâtir une maison.

1 E Hiram rey de Tiro envió embajadores á David, y madera de cedro, y albañiles y carpinteros, que le edificasen una casa.
1 Und Hiram, der König zu Tyrus, sandte Boten zu David und Zedernholz, Maurer und Zimmerleute, daß sie ihm ein Haus bauten.
2 And David saw that the Lord had made his position safe as king over Israel, lifting up his kingdom on high because of his people Israel.
2 David reconnut que l'Éternel l'affermissait comme roi d'Israël, et que son royaume était haut élevé, à cause de son peuple d'Israël.

2 Y entendió David que Jehová lo había confirmado por rey sobre Israel, y que había ensalzado su reino sobre su pueblo Israel.
2 Und David merkte, daß ihn der HERR zum König über Israel bestätigt hatte; denn sein Königreich stieg auf um seines Volkes Israel willen.
3 And while he was living in Jerusalem, David took more wives and became the father of more sons and daughters.
3 David prit encore des femmes à Jérusalem, et il engendra encore des fils et des filles.

8 And when the Philistines had news that David had been made king over all Israel, they went up in search of David, and David, hearing of it, went out against them.

8 Y oyendo los Filisteos que David había sido ungido por rey sobre todo Israel, subieron todos los Filisteos en busca de David. Y como David lo oyó, salió contra ellos.
8 Und da die Philister hörten, daß David zum König gesalbt war über ganz Israel, zogen sie alle herauf, David zu suchen. Da das David hörte, zog aus gegen sie.
9 Now the Philistines had come, and had gone out in every direction in the valley of Rephaim.
9 Les Philistins arrivèrent, et se répandirent dans la vallée des Rephaïm.
9 Nuair a tháinig na Filistínigh chuireadar cóiriú oscailte catha orthu féin i nGleann Rafáím.
9 Y vinieron los Filisteos y extendiéronse por el valle de Raphaim.
9 Und die Philister kamen und ließen sich nieder im Grunde Rephaim.
10 And David, desiring directions from God, said, Am I to go up against the Philistines? and will you give them into my hands? And the Lord said, Go up; for I will give them into your hands.
10 David consulta Dieu, en disant: Monterai-je contre les Philistins, et les livreras-tu entre mes mains? Et l'Éternel lui dit: Monte, et je les livrerai entre tes mains.
10 Chuaigh Dáiví i gcomhairle le Dia á rá: “An rachaidh mé in aghaidh na bhFilistíneach? An dtabharfaidh tú i mo lámha dom iad?” D'fhreagair an Tiarna é: “Ionsaigh iad! Tabharfaidh mé i do lámha duit iad.”
10 Entonces David consultó á Dios, diciendo: ¿Subiré contra los Filisteos? ¿los entregarás en mi mano? Y Jehová le dijo: Sube, que yo los entregaré en tus manos.
10 David aber fragte Gott und sprach: Soll ich hinaufziehen wider die Philister? und willst du sie in meine Hand geben? Der HERR sprach zu ihm: Zieh hinauf! ich hab sie in deine Hände gegeben.
11 So they went up to Baal-perazim, and David overcame them there, and David said, God has let the forces fighting against me be broken by my hand, as a wall is broken down by rushing water; so they gave that place the name of Baal-perazim.
11 Ils montèrent à Baal Peratsim, où David les battit. Puis il dit: Dieu a dispersé mes ennemis par ma main, comme des eaux qui s'écoulent. C'est pourquoi l'on a donné à ce lieu le nom de Baal Peratsim.
11 Ghabh siad suas go Bál Parázaím dá bhrí sin agus bhuaigh Dáiví orthu ansiúd. Dúirt Dáiví: “Rinne an Tiarna maidhm i líne mo namhad le mo chabhair, faoi mar a dhéanfadh tuile na habhann.” Tugadh, dá bhrí sin, Bál Parázaím [nó Maidhm an Tiarna] ar an áit sin.
11 Subieron pues á Baal-perasim, y allí los hirió David. Dijo luego David: Dios rompió mis enemigos por mi mano, como se rompen las aguas. Por esto llamaron el nombre de aquel lugar Baal-perasim.
11 Und da sie hinaufzogen gen Baal-Perazim, schlug sie David daselbst. Und David sprach: Gott hat meine Feinde durch meine Hand zertrennt, wie sich das Wasser trennt. Daher hießen sie die Stätte Baal-Perazim.
12 And the Philistines did not take their images with them in their flight; and at David's orders they were burned with fire.
12 Ils laissèrent là leurs dieux, qui furent brûlés au feu d'après l'ordre de David.
12 D'fhág na Filistínigh a n‑íola ansiúd agus d'ordaigh Dáiví iad a dhó, rud a rinneadh.
12 Y dejaron allí sus dioses, y David dijo que los quemasen al fuego.
12 Und sie ließen ihre Götter daselbst; da hieß sie David mit Feuer verbrennen.
13 Then the Philistines again went out in every direction in the valley.
13 Les Philistins se répandirent de nouveau dans la vallée.
13 Tháinig na Filistínigh arís agus chuir siad cóiriú oscailte catha orthu féin sa ghleann.
13 Y volviendo los Filisteos á extenderse por el valle,
13 Aber die Philister machten sich wieder heran und ließen sich nieder im Grunde.
14 And David went for directions to God; and God said to him, You are not to go up after them; but, turning away from them, come face to face with them opposite the spice-trees.
14 David consulta encore Dieu. Et Dieu lui dit: Tu ne monteras pas après eux; détourne-toi d'eux, et tu arriveras sur eux vis-à-vis des mûriers.
14 Chuaigh Dáiví i gcomhairle le Dia agus d'fhreagair Dia é: “Ná hionsaigh iad ceann ar aghaidh; gabh timpeall agus cuir cath orthu os comhair na gcrann balsaim.
14 David volvió á consultar á Dios, y Dios le dijo: No subas tras ellos, sino rodéalos, para venir á ellos por delante de los morales;
14 Und David fragte abermals Gott; und Gott sprach zu ihm: Du sollst nicht hinaufziehen hinter ihnen her, sondern lenke dich von ihnen, daß du an sie kommst gegenüber den Maulbeerbäumen.
15 And at the sound of footsteps in the tops of the trees, go out to the fight, for God has gone out before you to overcome the army of the Philistines.
15 Quand tu entendras un bruit de pas dans les cimes des mûriers, alors tu sortiras pour combattre, car c'est Dieu qui marche devant toi pour battre l'armée des Philistins.
15 Nuair a chloisfidh tú trup na gcoiscéimeanna ar bharr na gcrann balsaim, ar aghaidh le d'ionsaí mar is é an Tiarna a bheidh ann ag gabháil romhat chun briseadh ar arm na bhFilistíneach.”
15 Y así que oyeres venir un estruendo por las copas de los morales, sal luego á la batalla: porque Dios saldrá delante de ti, y herirá el campo de los Filisteos.
15 Wenn du dann wirst hören das Rauschen oben auf den Maulbeerbäumen einhergehen, so fahre heraus zum Streit; denn Gott ist da vor dir ausgezogen, zu schlagen der Philister Heer.
16 And David did as the Lord had said; and they overcame the army of the Philistines, attacking them from Gibeon as far as Gezer.
16 David fit ce que Dieu lui avait ordonné, et l'armée des Philistins fut battue depuis Gabaon jusqu'à Guézer.
16 Rinne Dáiví mar a d'ordaigh an Tiarna dó, agus chuir sé an ruaig ar na Filistínigh ó Ghibeón ar aghaidh go dtí Bealach Gheizir.
16 Hizo pues David como Dios le mandó, é hirieron el campo de los Filisteos desde Gabaón hasta Gezer.
16 Und David tat, wie ihm Gott geboten hatte; und sie schlugen das Heer der Philister von Gibeon an bis gen Geser.
17 And David's name was honoured in all lands; and the Lord put the fear of him on all nations.
17 La renommée de David se répandit dans tous les pays, et l'Éternel le rendit redoutable à toutes les nations.
