1 Now in the third year of Hoshea, son of Elah, king of Israel, Hezekiah, the son of Ahaz, became king of Judah.

2 He was twenty-five years old when he became king, ruling in Jerusalem for twenty-nine years; his mother's name was Abi, the daughter of Zechariah.

4 He had the high places taken away, and the stone pillars broken to bits, and the Asherah cut down; and the brass snake which Moses had made was crushed to powder at his order, because in those days the children of Israel had offerings burned before it, and he gave it the name Nehushtan.
4 Il fit disparaître les hauts lieux, brisa les statues, abattit les idoles, et mit en pièces le serpent d'airain que Moïse avait fait, car les enfants d'Israël avaient jusqu'alors brûlé des parfums devant lui: on l'appelait Nehuschtan.

4 El quitó los altos, y quebró las imágenes, y taló los bosques, é hizo pedazos la serpiente de bronce que había hecho Moisés, porque hasta entonces le quemaban perfumes los hijos de Israel; y llamóle por nombre Nehustán.
4 Er tat ab die Höhen und zerbrach die Säulen und rottete das Ascherabild aus und zerstieß die eherne Schlange, die Mose gemacht hatte; denn bis zu der Zeit hatten ihr die Kinder Israel geräuchert, und man hieß sie Nehusthan.
5 He had faith in the Lord, the God of Israel; so that there was no one like him among all the kings of Judah who were before him.
5 Il mit sa confiance en l'Éternel, le Dieu d'Israël; et parmi tous les rois de Juda qui vinrent après lui ou qui le précédèrent, il n'y en eut point de semblable à lui.

5 Er vertraute dem HERRN, dem Gott Israels, daß nach ihm seinesgleichen nicht war unter allen Königen Juda's noch vor ihm gewesen.
6 For his heart was fixed on the Lord, not turning from his ways, and he did his orders which the Lord gave to Moses.
6 Il fut attaché à l'Éternel, il ne se détourna point de lui, et il observa les commandements que l'Éternel avait prescrits à Moïse.

7 And the Lord was with him; he did well in all his undertakings: and he took up arms against the king of Assyria and was his servant no longer.
7 Et l'Éternel fut avec Ézéchias, qui réussit dans toutes ses entreprises. Il se révolta contre le roi d'Assyrie, et ne lui fut plus assujetti.

7 Y Jehová fué con él; y en todas las cosas á que salía prosperaba. El se rebeló contra el rey de Asiria, y no le sirvió.

8 He overcame the Philistines as far as Gaza and its limits, from the tower of the watchman to the walled town.
8 Il battit les Philistins jusqu'à Gaza, et ravagea leur territoire depuis les tours des gardes jusqu'aux villes fortes.

9 Now in the fourth year of King Hezekiah, which was the seventh year of Hoshea, son of Elah, king of Israel, Shalmaneser, king of Assyria, came up against Samaria, shutting it in with his armies.
9 La quatrième année du roi Ézéchias, qui était la septième année d'Osée, fils d'Éla, roi d'Israël, Salmanasar, roi d'Assyrie, monta contre Samarie et l'assiégea.

9 Im vierten Jahr Hiskias, des Königs in Juda (das war das siebente Jahr Hoseas, des Sohnes Elas, des Königs über Israel), da zog Salmanasser, der König von Assyrien, herauf wider Samaria und belagerte es
10 And at the end of three years they took it; in the sixth year of Hezekiah's rule, which was the ninth year of Hoshea, king of Israel, Samaria was taken.
10 Il la prit au bout de trois ans, la sixième année d'Ézéchias, qui était la neuvième année d'Osée, roi d'Israël: alors Samarie fut prise.

10 und gewann es nach drei Jahren; im sechsten Jahr Hiskias, das ist im neunten Jahr Hoseas, des Königs Israels, da ward Samaria gewonnen.
11 And the king of Assyria took Israel away as prisoners into Assyria, placing them in Halah and in Habor on the river Gozan, and in the towns of the Medes;
11 Le roi d'Assyrie emmena Israël captif en Assyrie, et il les établit à Chalach, et sur le Chabor, fleuve de Gozan, et dans les villes des Mèdes,
11 Thug rí na hAsaíre na hIosraelaigh leis go dtí an Asaír, agus chuir sé chun cónaithe iad i Halach ar an Hábór, abhainn de chuid Ghózán, agus i gcathracha na Méideach.
11 Y el rey de Asiria traspuso á Israel á Asiria, y púsolos en Hala, y en Habor, junto al río de Gozán, y en las ciudades de los Medos:
11 Und der König von Assyrien führte Israel weg gen Assyrien und setzte sie nach Halah und an den Habor, an das Wasser Gosan und in die Städte der Meder,
12 Because they did not give ear to the voice of the Lord their God, but went against his agreement, even against everything ordered by Moses, the servant of the Lord, and they did not give ear to it or do it.
12 parce qu'ils n'avaient point écouté la voix de l'Éternel, leur Dieu, et qu'ils avaient transgressé son alliance, parce qu'ils n'avaient ni écouté ni mis en pratique tout ce qu'avait ordonné Moïse, serviteur de l'Éternel.

12 Por cuanto no habían atendido la voz de Jehová su Dios, antes habían quebrantado su pacto; y todas las cosas que Moisés siervo de Jehová había mandado, ni las habían escuchado, ni puesto por obra.
12 darum daß sie nicht gehorcht hatten der Stimme des HERRN, ihres Gottes, und übertreten hatten seinen Bund und alles, was Mose, der Knecht des HERRN, geboten hatte; deren sie keines gehört noch getan.
13 Now in the fourteenth year of king Hezekiah, Sennacherib, king of Assyria, came up against all the walled towns of Judah and took them.
13 La quatorzième année du roi Ézéchias, Sanchérib, roi d'Assyrie, monta contre toutes les villes fortes de Juda, et s'en empara.
13 Sa cheathrú bliain déag de réimeas Hiziciá, tháinig Sanaichéiríb rí na hAsaíre agus d'ionsaigh sé cathracha daingne Iúdá agus ghabh sé iad.
13 Y á los catorce años del rey Ezechîas, subió Sennachêrib rey de Asiria contra todas las ciudades fuertes de Judá, y tomólas.
13 Im vierzehnten Jahr aber des Königs Hiskia zog herauf Sanherib, der König von Assyrien, wider alle festen Städte Juda's und nahm sie ein.
14 And Hezekiah, king of Judah, sent to Lachish, to the king of Assyria, saying, I have done wrong; give up attacking me, and whatever you put on me I will undergo. And the payment he was to make was fixed by the king of Assyria at three hundred talents of silver and thirty talents of gold.
14 Ézéchias, roi de Juda, envoya dire au roi d'Assyrie à Lakis: J'ai commis une faute! Éloigne-toi de moi. Ce que tu m'imposeras, je le supporterai. Et le roi d'Assyrie imposa à Ézéchias, roi de Juda, trois cents talents d'argent et trente talents d'or.
14 Ansin chuir Hiziciá rí Iúdá teachtaireacht go rí na hAsaíre i Láicís. “Rinne mé coir; cas i leataobh uaim; cuirfidh mé suas le cibé pionós a leagfaidh tú orm.” Agus d'éiligh rí na hAsaíre trí chéad tallann airgid agus tríocha tallann óir ar Hiziciá rí Iúdá.
14 Entonces Ezechîas rey de Judá envió á decir al rey de Asiria en Lachîs: Yo he pecado: vuélvete de mí, y llevaré todo lo que me impusieres. Y el rey de Asiria impuso á Ezechîas rey de Judá trescientos talentos de plata, y treinta talentos de oro.
14 Da sandte Hiskia, der König Juda's, zum König von Assyrien gen Lachis und ließ ihm sagen: Ich habe mich versündigt. Kehre um von mir; was du mir auflegst, will ich tragen. Da legte der König von Assyrien Hiskia, dem König Juda's, dreihundert Zentner Silber auf und dreißig Zentner Gold.
15 So Hezekiah gave him all the silver in the house of the Lord, and in the king's store-house.
15 Ézéchias donna tout l'argent qui se trouvait dans la maison de l'Éternel et dans les trésors de la maison du roi.
15 Agus thug Hiziciá a raibh d'airgead i dTeampall an Tiarna agus i gcistí phálás an rí dó.
15 Dió por tanto Ezechîas toda la plata que fué hallada en la casa de Jehová, y en los tesoros de la casa real.
15 Also gab Hiskia all das Silber, das im Hause des HERRN und in den Schätzen des Königshauses gefunden ward.
16 And at that time Hezekiah had the gold from the doors of the Lord's house, and from the door-pillars plated by him, cut off and gave it to the king of Assyria.
16 Ce fut alors qu'Ézéchias, roi de Juda, enleva, pour les livrer au roi d'Assyrie, les lames d'or dont il avait couvert les portes et les linteaux du temple de l'Éternel.

16 Entonces descompuso Ezechîas las puertas del templo de Jehová, y los quiciales que el mismo rey Ezechîas había cubierto de oro, y diólo al rey de Asiria.
16 Zur selben Zeit zerbrach Hiskia, der König Juda's, die Türen am Tempel des HERRN und die Bleche, die er selbst hatte darüberziehen lassen, und gab sie dem König von Assyrien.
17 Then the king of Assyria sent the Tartan and the Rab-saris and the Rab-shakeh from Lachish to Jerusalem, to King Hezekiah, with a strong force. And they went up and came to Jerusalem, and took up their position by the stream of the higher pool, by the highway of the washerman's field.
17 Le roi d'Assyrie envoya de Lakis à Jérusalem, vers le roi Ézéchias, Tharthan, Rab Saris et Rabschaké avec une puissante armée. Ils montèrent, et ils arrivèrent à Jérusalem. Lorsqu'ils furent montés et arrivés, ils s'arrêtèrent à l'aqueduc de l'étang supérieur, sur le chemin du champ du foulon.
17 Chuir rí na hAsaíre an priomhchornaire [an ceann feadhna agus an príomhchoillteán] agus slua mór ó Láicís go Hiziciá rí in Iarúsailéim. Ghabh sé suas go Iarúsailéim agus nuair a tháinig sé ansiúd, sheas sé taobh le sileán na linne uachtair atá ar an mbóthar go Gort an Úcaire.
17 Después el rey de Asiria envió al rey Ezechîas, desde Lachîs contra Jerusalem, á Thartán y á Rabsaris y á Rabsaces, con un grande ejército: y subieron, y vinieron á Jerusalem. Y habiendo subido, vinieron y pararon junto al conducto del estanque de arriba, que es en el camino de la heredad del batanero.
17 Und der König von Assyrien sandte den Tharthan und den Erzkämmerer und den Erzschenken von Lachis zum König Hiskia mit großer Macht gen Jerusalem, und sie zogen herauf. Und da sie hinkamen, hielten sie an der Wasserleitung des oberen Teiches, der da liegt an der Straße bei dem Acker des Walkmüllers,
18 And they sent for the king, and Eliakim, the son of Hilkiah, who was over the house, and Shebna the scribe, and Joah, the son of Asaph, the recorder, came out to them.
18 Ils appelèrent le roi; et Éliakim, fils de Hilkija, chef de la maison du roi, se rendit auprès d'eux, avec Schebna, le secrétaire, et Joach, fils d'Asaph, l'archiviste.
18 Chuir sé fios ar an rí agus chuaigh Eiliácaím mac Hilcíá reachtaire an pháláis, Seabná an rúnaí agus Ióách mac Ásáf an callaire, amach chuige.
18 Llamaron luego al rey, y salió á ellos Eliacim hijo de Hilcías, que era mayordomo, y Sebna escriba, y Joah hijo de Asaph, canciller.
18 und riefen nach dem König. Da kam heraus zu ihnen Eljakim, der Sohn Hilkias, der Hofmeister, und Sebna, der Schreiber, und Joah, der Sohn Asaphs, der Kanzler.
19 And the Rab-shakeh said to them, Say now to Hezekiah, These are the words of the great king, the king of Assyria: In what are you placing your hope?
19 Rabschaké leur dit: Dites à Ézéchias: Ainsi parle le grand roi, le roi d'Assyrie: Quelle est cette confiance, sur laquelle tu t'appuies?
19 Dúirt an príomhchornaire leo: “Abair le Hiziciá: ‘Mar seo a deir an rí mór, rí na hAsaíre: Cad as a bhfuil an mhuinín seo go léir agat?

19 Und der Erzschenke sprach zu ihnen: Sagt doch dem König Hiskia: So spricht der große König, der König von Assyrien: Was ist das für ein Trotz, darauf du dich verläßt?
20 You say you have a design, and strength for war, but these are only words. Now to whom are you looking for support, that you have gone against my authority?
20 Tu as dit: Il faut pour la guerre de la prudence et de la force. Mais ce ne sont que des paroles en l'air. En qui donc as-tu placé ta confiance, pour t'être révolté contre moi?

20 Dices, (por cierto palabras de labios): Consejo tengo y esfuerzo para la guerra. Mas ¿en qué confías, que te has rebelado contra mí?
20 Meinst du, es sei noch Rat und Macht, zu streiten? Worauf verläßt du dich denn, daß du mir abtrünnig geworden bist?
21 See, now, you are basing your hope on that broken rod of Egypt, which will go through a man's hand if he makes use of it for a support; for so is Pharaoh, king of Egypt, to all who put their faith in him.
21 Voici, tu l'as placée dans l'Égypte, tu as pris pour soutien ce roseau cassé, qui pénètre et perce la main de quiconque s'appuie dessus: tel est Pharaon, roi d'Égypte, pour tous ceux qui se confient en lui.
21 Is léir go bhfuil tú ag brath ar an Éigipt anois, an ghiolcach bhriste sin, bata a phriocann agus a ghoineann lámh an té a luíonn uirthi - mar sin atá ag Forann rí na hÉigipte le gach duine a bhíonn ag brath air.
21 He aquí tú confías ahora en este bordón de caña cascada, en Egipto, en el que si alguno se apoyare, entrarále por la mano, y se le pasará. Tal es Faraón rey de Egipto, para todos los que en él confían.
21 Siehe, verlässest du dich auf diesen zerstoßenen Rohrstab, auf Ägypten, welcher, so sich jemand darauf lehnt, wird er ihm die Hand durchbohren? Also ist Pharao, der König in Ägypten, allen, die sich auf ihn verlassen.
22 And if you say to me, Our hope is in the Lord our God: is it not he, whose high places and altars Hezekiah has taken away, saying to Judah and Jerusalem that worship may only be given before this altar in Jerusalem?
22 Peut-être me direz-vous: C'est en l'Éternel, notre Dieu, que nous nous confions. Mais n'est-ce pas lui dont Ézéchias a fait disparaître les hauts lieux et les autels, en disant à Juda et à Jérusalem: Vous vous prosternerez devant cet autel à Jérusalem?
22 B'fhéidir go ndéarfadh sibh liom: Ar an Tiarna ár nDia atáimid ag brath. Ach nach iad a ardionaidsean agus a altóirí a thóg Hiziciá chun siúil, a rá le muintir Iúdá agus Iarúsailéim: Sí an altóir seo in Iarúsailéim ar cheart daoibh adhradh os a comhair?
22 Y si me decís: Nosotros confiamos en Jehová nuestro Dios: ¿no es aquél cuyos altos y altares ha quitado Ezechîas, y ha dicho á Judá y á Jerusalem: Delante de este altar adoraréis en Jerusalem?
22 Ob ihr aber wolltet zu mir sagen: Wir verlassen uns auf den HERRN, unsern Gott! ist's denn nicht der, dessen Höhen und Altäre Hiskia hat abgetan und gesagt zu Juda und zu Jerusalem: Vor diesem Altar, der zu Jerusalem ist, sollt ihr anbeten?
23 And now, take a chance with my master, the king of Assyria, and I will give you two thousand horses, if you are able to put horsemen on them.
23 Maintenant, fais une convention avec mon maître, le roi d'Assyrie, et je te donnerai deux mille chevaux, si tu peux fournir des cavaliers pour les monter.

24 How then may you put to shame the least of my master's servants? and you have put your hope in Egypt for war-carriages and horsemen:
24 Comment repousserais-tu un seul chef d'entre les moindres serviteurs de mon maître? Tu mets ta confiance dans l'Égypte pour les chars et pour les cavaliers.
24 Cén chaoi arbh fhéidir leat oiread agus aon chaptaen amháin den lucht is táire de shearbhóntaí mo mháistir a chloí a rá is go bhfuil tú ag brath ar an Éigipt d'eachra agus do charbaid?
24 ¿Cómo pues harás volver el rostro de un capitán el menor de los siervos de mi señor, aunque estés confiado en Egipto por sus carros y su gente de á caballo?
24 Wie willst du denn bleiben vor der geringsten Hauptleute einem von meines Herrn Untertanen? Und du verläßt dich auf Ägypten um der Wagen und Reiter willen.
25 And have I now come up to send destruction on this place without the Lord's authority? It was the Lord himself who said to me, Go up against this land and make it waste.
25 D'ailleurs, est-ce sans la volonté de l'Éternel que je suis monté contre ce lieu, pour le détruire? L'Éternel m'a dit: Monte contre ce pays, et détruis-le.
25 Agus thairis sin, an bhfuilimse tagtha aníos chun an áit seo a ionsaí agus a scrios gan barántas ón Tiarna? Dúirt an Tiarna féin liom: Gluais i gcoinne na tíre sin agus déan é a scrios.’ ”
25 Además, ¿he venido yo ahora sin Jehová á este lugar, para destruirlo? Jehová me ha dicho: Sube á esta tierra, y destrúyela.
25 Meinst du aber, ich sei ohne den HERRN heraufgezogen, daß ich diese Stätte verderbe? Der HERR hat mich's geheißen: Ziehe hinauf in dies Land und verderbe es!
26 Then Eliakim, the son of Hilkiah, and Shebna and Joah said to the Rab-shakeh, Will you kindly make use of the Aramaean language in talking to your servants, for we are used to it, and do not make use of the Jews' language in the hearing of the people on the wall.
26 Éliakim, fils de Hilkija, Schebna et Joach, dirent à Rabschaké: Parle à tes serviteurs en araméen, car nous le comprenons; et ne nous parle pas en langue judaïque, aux oreilles du peuple qui est sur la muraille.
26 Ansin dúirt Eiliácaím mac Hilcíá agus Seabná agus Ióách leis an bpríomhchornaire: “Labhair as Aramais le do thoil le do shearbhóntaí mar tuigimid í; ná labhair linn as teanga Iúdá i gclos na ndaoine ar na ballaí.”
26 Entonces dijo Eliacim hijo de Hilcías, y Sebna y Joah, á Rabsaces: Ruégote que hables á tus siervos siriaco, porque nosotros lo entendemos, y no hables con nosotros judaico á oídos del pueblo que está sobre el muro.
26 Da sprach Eljakim, der Sohn Hilkias und Sebna und Joah zum Erzschenken: Rede mit deinen Knechten auf syrisch, denn deine Knechte verstehen es; und rede nicht mit uns auf jüdisch vor den Ohren des Volks, das auf der Mauer ist.
27 But the Rab-shakeh said to them, Is it to your master or to you that my master has sent me to say these words? has he not sent me to the men seated on the wall? for they are the people who will be short of food with you when the town is shut in.
27 Rabschaké leur répondit: Est-ce à ton maître et à toi que mon maître m'a envoyé dire ces paroles? N'est-ce pas à ces hommes assis sur la muraille pour manger leurs excréments et pour boire leur urine avec vous?
27 Ach dúirt an príomhchornaire leo: “An dóigh leat gur le hé seo a rá le do mháistir nó leatsa a chuir mo mháistir mise anseo? Ní hea ach leis na daoine ar na ballaí, a bhfuil sé i ndán dóibh a gcac féin a ithe, agus a mún féin a ól bhur ndála féin.”
27 Y Rabsaces les dijo: ¿Hame enviado mi señor á ti y á tu señor para decir estas palabras, y no antes á los hombres que están sobre el muro, para comer su estiércol, y beber el agua de sus pies con vosotros?
27 Aber der Erzschenke sprach zu ihnen: Hat mich denn mein Herr zu deinem Herrn oder zu dir gesandt, daß ich solche Worte rede? und nicht vielmehr zu den Männern, die auf der Mauer sitzen, daß sie mit euch ihren eigenen Mist fressen und ihren Harn saufen?
28 Then the Rab-shakeh got up and said with a loud voice in the Jews' language, Give ear to the words of the great king, the king of Assyria;
28 Alors Rabschaké, s'étant avancé, cria à haute voix en langue judaïque, et dit: Écoutez la parole du grand roi, du roi d'Assyrie!
28 Ansin sheas an príomhchornaire agus dúirt in ard a chinn agus a ghutha i dteanga Iúdá: “Éistigí le briathar an rí mhóir, rí na hAsaíre.
28 Paróse luego Rabsaces, y clamó á gran voz en judaico, y habló, diciendo: Oid la palabra del gran rey, el rey de Asiria.
28 Also stand der Erzschenke auf und redete mit lauter Stimme auf jüdisch und sprach: Hört das Wort des großen Königs, des Königs von Assyrien!
29 This is what the king says: Do not be tricked by Hezekiah, for there is no salvation for you in him.
29 Ainsi parle le roi: Qu'Ézéchias ne vous abuse point, car il ne pourra vous délivrer de ma main.
29 Mar seo a deir an rí: ‘Ná cuireadh Hiziciá an dallamullóg oraibh mar ní bheidh ar a chumas sibh a fhuascailt as mo ghreim.
29 Así ha dicho el rey: No os engañe Ezechîas, porque no os podrá librar de mi mano.
29 So spricht der König: Laßt euch Hiskia nicht betrügen; denn er vermag euch nicht zu erretten von meiner Hand.
30 And do not let Hezekiah make you put your faith in the Lord, saying, The Lord will certainly keep us safe, and this town will not be given into the hands of the king of Assyria.
30 Qu'Ézéchias ne vous amène point à vous confier en l'Éternel, en disant: L'Éternel nous délivrera, et cette ville ne sera pas livrée entre les mains du roi d'Assyrie.
30 Ná cuireadh Hiziciá ina luí oraibh a bheith ag brath ar an Tiarna lena rá libh: Déanfaidh an Tiarna sinn a fhuascailt go cinnte agus ní thabharfar an chathair seo i lámha rí na hAsaíre.’
30 Y no os haga Ezechîas confiar en Jehová, diciendo: De cierto nos librará Jehová, y esta ciudad no será entregada en mano del rey de Asiria.
30 Und laßt euch Hiskia nicht vertrösten auf den HERRN, daß er sagt: Der HERR wird uns erretten, und diese Stadt wird nicht in die Hände des Königs von Assyrien gegeben werden.
31 Do not give ear to Hezekiah, for this is what the king of Assyria says: Make peace with me and come out to me; and everyone will be free to take the fruit of his vine and of his fig-tree, and the water of his spring;
31 N'écoutez point Ézéchias; car ainsi parle le roi d'Assyrie: Faites la paix avec moi, rendez-vous à moi, et chacun de vous mangera de sa vigne et de son figuier, et chacun boira de l'eau de sa citerne,
31 Ná héistigí le Hiziciá, mar seo mar a deir rí na hAsaíre: ‘Déanaigí síocháin liom, agus géilligí dom, agus íosfaidh gach duine agaibh toradh a fhíniúna féin, agus toradh a chrann figí féin, agus ólfaidh gach duine agaibh uisce as a umar féin,
31 No oigáis á Ezechîas, porque así dice el rey de Asiria: Haced conmigo paz, y salid á mí, y cada uno comerá de su vid, y de su higuera, y cada uno beberá las aguas de su pozo;
31 Gehorchet Hiskia nicht! Denn so spricht der König von Assyrien: Nehmet an meine Gnade und kommt zu mir heraus, so soll jedermann von seinem Weinstock und seinem Feigenbaum essen und von seinem Brunnen trinken,
32 Till I come and take you away to a land like yours, a land of grain and wine, a land of bread and vine-gardens, a land of oil-giving olives and of honey, so that life and not death may be your fate. Give no attention to Hezekiah when he says to you, The Lord will keep us safe.
32 jusqu'à ce que je vienne, et que je vous emmène dans un pays comme le vôtre, dans un pays de blé et de vin, un pays de pain et de vignes, un pays d'oliviers à huile et de miel, et vous vivrez et vous ne mourrez point. N'écoutez donc point Ézéchias; car il pourrait vous séduire en disant: L'Éternel nous délivrera.
32 nó go dtaga mé agus sibh a bhreith liom go tír mar bhur dtír féin, tír gráin agus fíona, tír aráin agus fíonghort, tír ológ agus meala, i dtreo nach bás ach beatha a bheidh i ndán daoibh. Ná héistigí le Hiziciá agus é ag cur an dallamullóg oraibh á rá: Déanfaidh an Tiarna sinn a fhuascailt.
32 Hasta que yo venga, y os lleve á una tierra como la vuestra, tierra de grano y de vino, tierra de pan y de viñas, tierra de olivas, de aceite, y de miel; y viviréis, y no moriréis. No oigáis á Ezechîas, porque os engaña cuando dice: Jehová nos librará.
32 bis ich komme und hole euch in ein Land, das eurem Lande gleich ist, darin Korn, Most, Brot, Weinberge, Ölbäume und Honig sind; so werdet ihr leben bleiben und nicht sterben. Gehorchet Hiskia nicht; denn er verführt euch, daß er spricht: Der HERR wird uns erretten.
33 Has any one of the gods of the nations kept his land from falling into the hands of the king of Assyria?
33 Les dieux des nations ont-ils délivré chacun son pays de la main du roi d'Assyrie?
33 A ndearna aon dia d'aon chine a thír a fhuascailt ó láimh rí na hAsaíre?
33 ¿Acaso alguno de los dioses de las gentes ha librado su tierra de la mano del rey de Asiria?
33 Haben auch die Götter der Heiden ein jeglicher sein Land errettet von der Hand des Königs von Assyrien?
34 Where are the gods of Hamath and of Arpad? where are the gods of Sepharvaim, of Hena and Ivvah? have they kept Samaria out of my hands?
34 Où sont les dieux de Hamath et d'Arpad? Où sont les dieux de Sepharvaïm, d'Héna et d'Ivva? Ont-ils délivré Samarie de ma main?
34 Cá bhfuil déithe Hamát agus Arpád? Cá bhfuil déithe Shafarvaím agus Haena, agus Íveá? [Cá bhfuil déithe thír na Samáire?] Ar fhuascail siad an tSamáir as mo ghreim?
34 ¿Dónde está el dios de Hamath, y de Arphad? ¿dónde el dios de Sepharvaim, de Hena, y de Hiva? ¿pudieron éstos librar á Samaria de mi mano?
34 Wo sind die Götter zu Hamath und Arpad? Wo sind die Götter zu Sepharvaim, Hena und Iwwa? Haben sie auch Samaria errettet von meiner Hand?
35 Who among all the gods of these countries have kept their country from falling into my hands, to give cause for the thought that the Lord will keep Jerusalem from falling into my hands?
35 Parmi tous les dieux de ces pays, quels sont ceux qui ont délivré leur pays de ma main, pour que l'Éternel délivre Jérusalem de ma main?
35 Cé acu déithe de dhéithe na dtíortha go léir a d'fhuascail a dtíortha as mo lámha, go bhféadfadh an Tiarna Iarúsailéim a fhuascailt as mo lámha?’ ”
35 ¿Qué dios de todos los dioses de las provincias ha librado á su provincia de mi mano, para que libre Jehová de mi mano á Jerusalem?
35 Wo ist ein Gott unter aller Lande Göttern, die ihr Land haben von meiner Hand errettet, daß der HERR sollte Jerusalem von meiner Hand erretten?
36 But the people kept quiet and gave him no answer: for the king's order was, Give him no answer.
36 Le peuple se tut, et ne lui répondit pas un mot; car le roi avait donné cet ordre: Vous ne lui répondrez pas.
36 Ach bhí an pobal ina dtost gan focal astu, mar thug an rí ordú, á rá: “Na tugaigí freagra air!”
36 Y el pueblo calló, que no le respondieron palabra: porque había mandamiento del rey, el cual había dicho: No le respondáis.
36 Das Volk aber schwieg still und antwortete ihm nichts; denn der König hatte geboten und gesagt: Antwortet ihm nichts.
37 Then Eliakim, the son of Hilkiah, who was over the house, and Shebna the scribe, and Joah, the son of Asaph, the recorder, came to Hezekiah, with their clothing parted as a sign of grief, and gave him an account of what the Rab-shakeh had said.
37 Et Éliakim, fils de Hilkija, chef de la maison du roi, Schebna, le secrétaire, et Joach, fils d'Asaph, l'archiviste, vinrent auprès d'Ézéchias, les vêtements déchirés, et lui rapportèrent les paroles de Rabschaké.
