1 In the seventeenth year of Pekah, the son of Remaliah, Ahaz, the son of Jotham, became king of Judah.
1 La dix-septième année de Pékach, fils de Remalia, Achaz, fils de Jotham, roi de Juda, régna.

1 Im siebzehnten Jahr Pekahs, des Sohnes Remaljas, ward König Ahas, der Sohn Jothams, des Königs in Juda.
2 Ahaz was twenty years old when he became king; he was ruling for sixteen years in Jerusalem. He did not do what was right in the eyes of the Lord his God, as David his father did.
2 Achaz avait vingt ans lorsqu'il devint roi, et il régna seize ans à Jérusalem. Il ne fit point ce qui est droit aux yeux de l'Éternel, son Dieu, comme avait fait David, son père.
2 Bhí Áchaz fiche bliain d'aois nuair a tháinig sé i gcoróin agus mhair a réimeas ar feadh sé bliana déag i Iarúsailéim. Ní dhearna sé an ceart i bhfianaise an Tiarna a Dhia dála Dháiví a athair.
2 Cuando comenzó á reinar Achâz, era de veinte años, y reinó en Jerusalem dieciséis años: y no hizo lo recto en ojos de Jehová su Dios, como David su padre;
2 Zwanzig Jahre war Ahas alt, da er König ward, und regierte sechzehn Jahre zu Jerusalem; und tat nicht, was dem HERRN, seinem Gott, wohl gefiel wie sein Vater David;
3 But he went in the ways of the kings of Israel, and even made his son go through the fire, copying the disgusting ways of the nations whom the Lord had sent out of the land before the children of Israel.
3 Il marcha dans la voie des rois d'Israël; et même il fit passer son fils par le feu, suivant les abominations des nations que l'Éternel avait chassées devant les enfants d'Israël.
3 Lean sé sampla ríthe Iosrael agus thug ar a mhac féin fiú gabháil trí thine de réir mar a chleachtaí go náireach ag na ciníocha a dhíbir an Tiarna roimh chlann Iosrael.
3 Antes anduvo en el camino de los reyes de Israel, y aun hizo pasar por el fuego á su hijo, según las abominaciones de las gentes que Jehová echó de delante de los hijos de Israel.
3 denn er wandelte auf dem Wege der Könige Israels. Dazu ließ er seinen Sohn durchs Feuer gehen nach den Greueln der Heiden, die der HERR vor den Kindern Israel vertrieben hatte,
4 And he made offerings, burning them in the high places and on the hills and under every green tree.
4 Il offrait des sacrifices et des parfums sur les hauts lieux, sur les collines et sous tout arbre vert.
4 D'ofráil sé íobairtí agus túis ar na hardionaid, ar na cnoic agus faoi gach crann craobhach.
4 Asimismo sacrificó, y quemó perfumes en los altos, y sobre los collados, y debajo de todo árbol umbroso.
4 und tat Opfer und räucherte auf den Höhen und auf den Hügeln und unter allen grünen Bäumen.
5 Then Rezin, king of Aram, and Pekah, son of Remaliah, king of Israel, came up to Jerusalem to make war; and they made an attack on Ahaz, shutting him in, but were not able to overcome him.
5 Alors Retsin, roi de Syrie, et Pékach, fils de Remalia, roi d'Israël, montèrent contre Jérusalem pour l'attaquer. Ils assiégèrent Achaz; mais ils ne purent pas le vaincre.
5 Ansin is ea a thánig Reizín rí Arám agus Peacach mac Ramailiá rí Iosrael chun Iarúsailéim a ionsaí. Chuireadar léigear [air] ach níorbh fhéidir dóibh é a ghabháil.
5 Entonces Resín rey de Siria, y Peka hijo de Remalías rey de Israel, subieron á Jerusalem para hacer guerra, y cercar á Achâz; mas no pudieron tomarla.
5 Dazumal zogen Rezin, der König von Syrien und Pekah, der Sohn Remaljas, König in Israel, hinauf gen Jerusalem, zu streiten und belagerten Ahas; aber sie konnten es nicht gewinnen.
6 At that time the king of Edom got Elath back for Edom, and sent the Jews out of Elath; and the Edomites came back to Elath where they are living to this day.
6 Dans ce même temps, Retsin, roi de Syrie, fit rentrer Élath au pouvoir des Syriens; il expulsa d'Élath les Juifs, et les Syriens vinrent à Élath, où ils ont habité jusqu'à ce jour.
6 [San am sin, ghabh rí [Eadóm] Éalat ar ais d'Eadóm; thiomáin sé fir Iúdá ó Éalat agus ghabh na hEadómaigh seilbh air agus tá siad ag cur fúthu ann go dtí an lá inniu.]
6 En aquel tiempo Resín rey de Siria restituyó Elath á Siria, y echó á los Judíos de Elath; y los Siros vinieron á Elath, y habitaron allí hasta hoy.
6 Zu derselben Zeit brachte Rezin, König von Syrien, Elath wieder an Syrien und stieß die Juden aus Elath; aber die Syrer kamen und wohnten darin bis auf diesen Tag.
7 So Ahaz sent representatives to Tiglath-pileser, king of Assyria, saying, I am your servant and your son; come to my help against the kings of Aram and Israel who have taken up arms against me.
7 Achaz envoya des messagers à Tiglath Piléser, roi d'Assyrie, pour lui dire: Je suis ton serviteur et ton fils; monte, et délivre-moi de la main du roi de Syrie et de la main du roi d'Israël, qui s'élèvent contre moi.
7 Ansin sheol Áchaz teachtairí go Tigleat Pileisir rí na hAsaíre á rá: “Mise do shearbhónta agus do mhac. Tar agus fuascail mé ó rí Arám agus ó rí Iosrael atá ag cur catha orm.”
7 Entonces Achâz envió embajadores á Tiglath-pileser rey de Asiria, diciendo: Yo soy tu siervo y tu hijo: sube, y defiéndeme de mano del rey de Siria, y de mano del rey de Israel, que se han levantado contra mí.
7 Und Ahas sandte Boten zu Thiglath-Pileser, dem König von Assyrien, und ließ ihm sagen: Ich bin dein Knecht und dein Sohn; komm herauf und hilf mir aus der Hand des Königs von Syrien und des Königs Israels, die sich wider mich haben aufgemacht!
8 And Ahaz took the silver and gold which were in the house of the Lord and in the king's store-house, and sent them as an offering to the king of Assyria.
8 Et Achaz prit l'argent et l'or qui se trouvaient dans la maison de l'Éternel et dans les trésors de la maison du roi, et il l'envoya en présent au roi d'Assyrie.
8 Thóg Áchaz a raibh d'airgead agus d'ór le fáil i dTeampall an Tiarna agus i gciste phálás an rí agus chuir é mar bhronntanas go rí na hAsaíre.
8 Y tomando Achâz la plata y el oro que se halló en la casa de Jehová, y en los tesoros de la casa real, envió al rey de Asiria un presente.
8 Und Ahas nahm das Silber und Gold, das im Hause des HERRN und in den Schätzen des Königshauses gefunden ward, und sandte dem König von Assyrien Geschenke.
9 And the king of Assyria, in answer to his request, went up against Damascus and took it, and took its people away as prisoners to Kir, and put Rezin to death.
9 Le roi d'Assyrie l'écouta; il monta contre Damas, la prit, emmena les habitants en captivité à Kir, et fit mourir Retsin.
9 Thug rí na hAsaíre cluas dó agus ghluais in aghaidh na Damaisce agus ghabh í. Dhíbir sé muntir na cathrach go Cír agus chuir Reizín chun báis.
9 Y atendióle el rey de Asiria; pues subió el rey de Asiria contra Damasco, y tomóla, y trasportó los moradores á Kir, y mató á Resín.
9 Und der König von Assyrien gehorchte ihm und zog herauf gen Damaskus und gewann es und führte es weg gen Kir und tötete Rezin.
10 Then King Ahaz went to Damascus for a meeting with Tiglath-pileser, king of Assyria; and there he saw the altar which was at Damascus; and King Ahaz sent to Urijah the priest a copy of the altar, giving the design of it and all the details of its structure.
10 Le roi Achaz se rendit à Damas au-devant de Tiglath Piléser, roi d'Assyrie. Et ayant vu l'autel qui était à Damas, le roi Achaz envoya au sacrificateur Urie le modèle et la forme exacte de cet autel.
10 Nuair a chuaigh Áchaz rí chun na Damaisce le bualadh le Tigleat Pileisir rí na hAsaíre chonaic sé an altóir a bhí sa Damaisc. Agus chuir Áchaz rí tomhais na haltóra, cuspa di, agus sonraí a déantúis, go dtí Úiriá sagart.
10 Y fué el rey Achâz á encontrar á Tiglath-pileser rey de Asiria en Damasco; y visto que hubo el rey Achâz el altar que estaba en Damasco, envió á Urías sacerdote el diseño y la descripción del altar, conforme á toda su hechura.
10 Und der König Ahas zog entgegen Thiglath-Pileser, dem König zu Assyrien, gen Damaskus. Und da er einen Altar sah, sandte der König Ahas desselben Altars Ebenbild und Gleichnis zum Priester Uria, wie derselbe gemacht war.
11 And from the copy King Ahaz sent from Damascus, Urijah made an altar and had it ready by the time King Ahaz came back from Damascus.
11 Le sacrificateur Urie construisit un autel entièrement d'après le modèle envoyé de Damas par le roi Achaz, et le sacrificateur Urie le fit avant que le roi Achaz fût de retour de Damas.
11 Agus thóg Úiriá sagart an altóir, agus rinne sé í go beacht de réir na dtreoracha go léir a chuir Áchaz rí ón Damaisc sular tháinig Áchaz rí ar ais ón Damaisc.
11 Y Urías el sacerdote edificó el altar; conforme á todo lo que el rey Achâz había enviado de Damasco, así lo hizo el sacerdote Urías, entre tanto que el rey Achâz venía de Damasco.
11 Und Uria, der Priester, baute einen Altar und machte ihn, wie der König Ahas zu ihm gesandt hatte von Damaskus, bis der König Ahas von Damaskus kam.
12 And when the king came from Damascus, he saw the altar; and he went up on it and made an offering on it.
12 A son arrivée de Damas, le roi vit l'autel, s'en approcha et y monta:
12 Nuair a d'fhill an rí ón Damaisc, d'iniúch sé í, dhruid léi agus ghabh in airde uirthi.
12 Y luego que vino el rey de Damasco, y hubo visto el altar, acercóse el rey á él, y sacrificó en él;
12 Und da der König von Damaskus kam und den Altar sah, opferte er darauf
13 He made his burned offering and his meal offering and his drink offering there, draining out the blood of his peace-offerings on the altar.
13 il fit brûler son holocauste et son offrande, versa ses libations, et répandit sur l'autel le sang de ses sacrifices d'actions de grâces.
13 Dhóigh sí a íobairt dhóite agus a abhlann; dhoirt sé a ofráil dí, agus chroith fuil a ofráil chomaoineach ar an altóir.
13 Y encendió su holocausto, y su presente, y derramó sus libaciones, y esparció la sangre de sus pacíficos junto al altar.
13 und zündete darauf an sein Brandopfer und Speisopfer und goß darauf sein Trankopfer und ließ das Blut der Dankopfer, die er opferte, auf den Altar sprengen.
14 And the brass altar, which was before the Lord, he took from the front of the house, from between his altar and the house of the Lord, and put it on the north side of his altar.
14 Il éloigna de la face de la maison l'autel d'airain qui était devant l'Éternel, afin qu'il ne fût pas entre le nouvel autel et la maison de l'Éternel; et il le plaça à côté du nouvel autel, vers le nord.
14 An altóir chré-umha a bhí os comhair an Tiarna, thóg sé chun siúil í ó thosach an Teampaill, mar a raibh sí idir an altóir [nua] agus Teampall an Tiarna, agus chuir ar an taobh thuaidh den altóir [nua] í.
14 Y el altar de bronce que estaba delante de Jehová, hízolo acercar delante de la frontera de la casa, entre el altar y el templo de Jehová, y púsolo al lado del altar hacia el aquilón.
14 Aber den ehernen Altar, der vor dem HERRN stand, tat er weg, daß er nicht stände zwischen dem Altar und dem Hause des HERRN, sondern setzte ihn an die Seite des Altars gegen Mitternacht.
15 And King Ahaz gave orders to Urijah the priest, saying, Make the morning burned offering and the evening meal offering and the king's burned offering and meal offering, with the burned offerings of all the people and their meal offerings and drink offerings, on the great altar, and put on it all the blood of the burned offerings and of the beasts which are offered; but the brass altar will be for my use to get directions from the Lord.
15 Et le roi Achaz donna cet ordre au sacrificateur Urie: Fais brûler sur le grand autel l'holocauste du matin et l'offrande du soir, l'holocauste du roi et son offrande, les holocaustes de tout le peuple du pays et leurs offrandes, verses-y leurs libations, et répands-y tout le sang des holocaustes et tout le sang des sacrifices; pour ce qui concerne l'autel d'airain, je m'en occuperai.
15 Thug Áchaz rí an t‑ordú seo do Úiriá an sagart: “Dóigh as seo amach ar an altóir mhór íobairt dhóite na maidine, abhlann an tráthnóna, íobairt uileloiscthe an rí agus a abhlann, agus íobairt uileloiscthe phobail na tíre go léir, agus a n‑abhlann, agus a n‑ofráil dí. Croith uirthi fuil na n‑íobairtí dóite go léir agus fuil na n‑ofrálacha go léir. Maidir leis an altóir chré-umha, beidh sí fúm féin le haghaidh oracal.”
15 Y mandó el rey Achâz al sacerdote Urías, diciendo: En el gran altar encenderás el holocausto de la mañana y el presente de la tarde, y el holocausto del rey y su presente, y asimismo el holocausto de todo el pueblo de la tierra y su presente y sus libaciones: y esparcirás sobre él toda la sangre de holocausto, y toda la sangre de sacrificio: y el altar de bronce será mío para preguntar en él.
15 Und der König Ahas gebot Uria, dem Priester, und sprach: Auf dem großen Altar sollst du anzünden die Brandopfer des Morgens und die Speisopfer des Abends und die Brandopfer des Königs und sein Speisopfer und die Brandopfer alles Volks im Lande samt ihrem Speisopfer und Trankopfer; und alles Blut der Brandopfer und das Blut aller andern Opfer sollst du darauf sprengen; aber mit dem ehernen Altar will ich denken, was ich mache.
16 So Urijah the priest did everything as the king said
16 Le sacrificateur Urie se conforma à tout ce que le roi Achaz avait ordonné.

16 Uria, der Priester, tat alles, was ihn der König Ahas hieß.
17 And King Ahaz took off the sides of the wheeled bases, and took down the great water-vessel from off the brass oxen which were under it and put it on a floor of stone.
17 Et le roi Achaz brisa les panneaux des bases, et en ôta les bassins qui étaient dessus. Il descendit la mer de dessus les boeufs d'airain qui étaient sous elle, et il la posa sur un pavé de pierres.
17 Ghearr Áchaz rí creatlaigh na seastán chun siúil, bhain na trasnáin agus na miasa anuas díobh; thóg an mhuir chré-umha anuas de na daimh a bhí á hiompar agus leag í ar bhonn cloiche.
17 Y cortó el rey Achâz las cintas de las basas, y quitóles las fuentes; quitó también el mar de sobre los bueyes de bronce que estaban debajo de él, y púsolo sobre el solado de piedra.
17 Und der König Ahas brach ab die Seiten an den Gestühlen und tat die Kessel oben davon; und das Meer tat er von den Ehernen Ochsen, die darunter waren, und setzte es auf steinernes Pflaster.
18 *** the house of the Lord, because of the king of Assyria.
18 Il changea dans la maison de l'Éternel, à cause du roi d'Assyrie, le portique du sabbat qu'on y avait bâti et l'entrée extérieure du roi.
18 Le hurraim do rí na hAsaíre, thóg sé chun siúil ó Theampall an Tiarna seomra an fháiltithe a bhí tógtha ansiúd, agus an iontráil ríoga lasmuigh.
18 Asimismo la tienda del sábado que habían edificado en la casa, y el pasadizo de afuera del rey, mudólos del templo de Jehová, por causa del rey de Asiria.
18 Dazu bedeckte die Sabbathalle, die sie im Hause gebaut hatten, und den äußeren Eingang des Königs wandte er zum Hause des HERRN, dem König von Assyrien zum Dienst.
19 Now the rest of the things which Ahaz did, are they not recorded in the book of the history of the kings of Judah?
19 Le reste des actions d'Achaz, et tout ce qu'il a fait, cela n'est-il pas écrit dans le livre des Chroniques des rois de Juda?
19 An chuid eile de stair Áchaz, a imeachtaí go léir, nach bhfuil sin uile scríofa i Leabhar Annála Ríthe Iúdá?
19 Lo demás de los hechos de Achâz que puso por obra, ¿no está todo escrito en el libro de las crónicas de los reyes de Judá?
19 Was aber mehr von Ahas zu sagen ist, was er getan hat, siehe, das ist geschrieben in der Chronik der Könige Juda's.
20 And Ahaz went to rest with his fathers, and was put into the earth with his fathers in the town of David; and Hezekiah his son became king in his place.
20 Achaz se coucha avec ses pères, et il fut enterré avec ses pères dans la ville de David. Et Ézéchias, son fils, régna à sa place.
