1 Now when Athaliah, the mother of Ahaziah, saw that her son was dead, she had all the rest of the seed of the kingdom put to death.

1 Athalja aber, Ahasjas Mutter, da sie sah, daß ihr Sohn tot war, machte sie sich auf und brachte um alle aus dem königlichen Geschlecht.
2 But Jehosheba, the daughter of King Joram, sister of Ahaziah, secretly took Joash, the son of Ahaziah, with the woman who took care of him, away from among the king's sons who were put to death, and put him in the bedroom; and they kept him safe from Athaliah, so that he was not put to death.
2 Mais Joschéba, fille du roi Joram, soeur d'Achazia, prit Joas, fils d'Achazia, et l'enleva du milieu des fils du roi, quand on les fit mourir: elle le mit avec sa nourrice dans la chambre des lits. Il fut ainsi dérobé aux regards d'Athalie, et ne fut point mis à mort.
2 Ach Iahóiseaba, iníon an rí Iahórám, deirfiúr Achaizíá, sciob sí léi Ióáis, mac Achaizíá, faoi rún ó lár na mac rí a bhí á marú; chuir sí é féin agus a bhanaltra i bhfolach ó Atailiá sa suanlios, agus níor maraíodh é.
2 Pero tomando Josaba hija del rey Joram, hermana de Ochôzías, á Joas hijo de Ochôzías, sacólo furtivamente de entre los hijos del rey, que se mataban, y ocultólo de delante de Athalía, á él y á su ama, en la cámara de las camas, y así no lo mataron.
2 Aber Joseba, die Tochter des Königs Joram, Ahasjas Schwester, nahm Joas, den Sohn Ahasjas, und stahl ihn aus des Königs Kinder, die getötet wurden, und tat ihn mit seiner Amme in die Bettkammer; und sie verbargen ihn vor Athalja, daß er nicht getötet ward.
3 And for six years she kept him safe in the house of the Lord, while Athaliah was ruling over the land.
3 Il resta six ans caché avec Joschéba dans la maison de l'Éternel. Et c'était Athalie qui régnait dans le pays.
3 D'fhan sé sé bliana aici i bhfolach i dTeampall an Tiarna agus Atailiá i gceannas na tíre.
3 Y estuvo con ella escondido en la casa de Jehová seis años: y Athalía fué reina sobre el país.
3 Und er war mit ihr versteckt im Hause des HERRN sechs Jahre. Athalja aber war Königin im Lande.
4 Then in the seventh year, Jehoiada sent for the captains of hundreds of the Carians, and the armed men, and taking them into the house of the Lord, made an agreement with them, and made them take an oath in the house of the Lord, and let them see the king's son.
4 La septième année, Jehojada envoya chercher les chefs de centaines des Kéréthiens et des coureurs, et il les fit venir auprès de lui dans la maison de l'Éternel. Il traita alliance avec eux et les fit jurer dans la maison de l'Éternel, et il leur montra le fils du roi.

4 Mas al séptimo año envió Joiada, y tomó centuriones, capitanes, y gente de la guardia, y metiólos consigo en la casa de Jehová: é hizo con ellos liga, juramentándolos en la casa de Jehová; y mostróles al hijo del rey.
4 Im siebenten Jahr aber sandte hin Jojada und nahm die Obersten über hundert von den Leibwächtern und den Trabanten und ließ sie zu sich ins Haus des HERRN kommen und machte einen Bund mit ihnen und nahm einen Eid von ihnen im Hause des HERRN und zeigte ihnen des Königs Sohn
5 And he gave them orders, saying, This is what you are to do: the third part of you, who come in on the Sabbath and keep the watch of the king's house,
5 Puis il leur donna ses ordres, en disant: Voici ce que vous ferez. Parmi ceux de vous qui entrent en service le jour du sabbat, un tiers doit monter la garde à la maison du roi,
5 Thug sé an t‑ordú seo dóibh: “Seo mar atá le déanamh agaibh: téadh trian díbh, an mhuintir a bheidh gan dualgas ar an tsabóid, ar garda ar phálás an rí
5 Y mandóles, diciendo: Esto es lo que habéis de hacer: la tercera parte de vosotros, los que entrarán el sábado, tendrán la guardia de la casa del rey;
5 und gebot ihnen und sprach: Das ist's, was ihr tun sollt: Ein dritter Teil von euch, die ihr des Sabbats antretet, soll der Hut warten im Hause des Königs,
6 ...
6 un tiers à la porte de Sur, et un tiers à la porte derrière les coureurs: vous veillerez à la garde de la maison, de manière à en empêcher l'entrée.
6 [agus trian eile ag geata Shúr, agus trian ag an ngeata ar chúl na ngardaí, agus téigí ar garda ar phálás an rí],
6 Y la otra tercera parte estará á la puerta del sur, y la otra tercera parte á la puerta del postigo de los de la guardia: así guardaréis la casa, para que no sea allanada.
6 und ein dritter Teil soll sein am Tor Sur, und ein dritter Teil am Tor das hinter den Trabanten ist, und soll der Hut warten am Hause Massah.
7 And the two divisions of you, who go out on the Sabbath and keep the watch of the house of the Lord,
7 Vos deux autres divisions, tous ceux qui sortent de service le jour du sabbat feront la garde de la maison de l'Éternel auprès du roi:
7 agus téadh an dá thrian eile agaibh a bheidh ar dualgas ar an tsabóid ar garda ar Theampall an Tiarna [le hais an rí],
7 Y las dos partes de vosotros, es á saber, todos los que salen el sábado, tendréis la guarda de la casa de Jehová junto al rey.
7 Aber die zwei Teile euer aller, die des Sabbats abtreten, sollen der Hut warten im Hause des HERRN um den König,
8 Will make a circle round the king, every man being armed; and whoever comes inside your lines is to be put to death; keep with the king, when he goes out and when he comes in.
8 vous entourerez le roi de toutes parts, chacun les armes à la main, et l'on donnera la mort à quiconque s'avancera dans les rangs; vous serez près du roi quand il sortira et quand il entrera.
8 agus seasaidís timpeall an rí agus a airm i láimh gach fir; cuirtear chun báis aon duine a thabharfaidh iarracht ar bhrú tharaibh isteach. Bígí le hais an rí ag gabháil amach agus ag teacht isteach dó.”
8 Y estaréis alrededor del rey de todas partes, teniendo cada uno sus armas en las manos, y cualquiera que entrare dentro de estos órdenes, sea muerto. Y habéis de estar con el rey cuando saliere, y cuando entrare.
8 und sollt rings um den König euch machen, ein jeglicher mit seiner Wehre in der Hand, und wer herein zwischen die Reihen kommt, der sterbe, und sollt bei dem König sein, wenn er aus und ein geht.
9 And the captains of hundreds did as Jehoiada the priest gave them orders; every one took with him his men, those who came in and those who went out on the Sabbath, and they came in to Jehoiada the priest.
9 Les chefs de centaines exécutèrent tous les ordres qu'avait donnés le sacrificateur Jehojada. Ils prirent chacun leurs gens, ceux qui entraient en service et ceux qui sortaient de service le jour du sabbat, et ils se rendirent vers le sacrificateur Jehojada.
9 Rinne na ceannfoirt gach ní mar a d'ordaigh Iahóideá an sagart. Rug siad a gcuid fear leo, iad siúd a bhí ag scor den gharda ar an tsabóid agus iad siúd a bhí ag dul ar garda ar an tsabóid, agus tháinig siad chuig Iahóideá an sagart.
9 Los centuriones pues, hicieron todo como el sacerdote Joiada les mandó: y tomando cada uno los suyos, es á saber, los que habían de entrar el sábado, y los que habían salido el sábado, viniéronse á Joiada el sacerdote.
9 Und die Obersten taten alles, was ihnen Jojada, der Priester, gesagt hatte, und nahmen zu sich ihre Männer, die des Sabbats abtraten, und kamen zu dem Priester Jojada.
10 And the priest gave to the captains of hundreds the spears and body-covers which had been King David's, and which were kept in the house of the Lord.
10 Le sacrificateur remit aux chefs de centaines les lances et les boucliers qui provenaient du roi David, et qui se trouvaient dans la maison de l'Éternel.
10 Ghléas an sagart na ceannfoirt le gathanna agus le sciatha an rí Dáiví a bhí i dTeampall an Tiarna.
10 Y el sacerdote dió á los centuriones las picas y los escudos que habían sido del rey David, que estaban en la casa de Jehová.
10 Und der Priester gab den Hauptleuten Spieße und Schilde, die dem König David gehört hatten und in dem Hause des HERRN waren.
11 Then the armed men took up their positions, every man with his instruments of war in his hand, from the right side of the house to the left, round about the altar and the house.
11 Les coureurs, chacun les armes à la main, entourèrent le roi, en se plaçant depuis le côté droit jusqu'au côté gauche de la maison, près de l'autel et près de la maison.
11 Bhí na gardaí ina seasamh, agus arm i láimh gach duine acu, ó choirnéal theas an Teampaill go dtí an coirnéal thuaidh, thart timpeall ar an altóir agus ar an Teampall.
11 Y los de la guardia se pusieron en orden, teniendo cada uno sus armas en sus manos, desde el lado derecho de la casa hasta el lado izquierdo, junto al altar y el templo, en derredor del rey.
11 Und die Trabanten standen um den König her, ein jeglicher mit seiner Wehre in der Hand, von dem Winkel des Hauses zur Rechten bis zum Winkel zur Linken, zum Altar zu und zum Hause.
12 Then he made the king's son come out, and put the crown on him and the arm-bands, and made him king, and put the holy oil on him; and they all, making sounds of joy with their hands, said, Long life to the king.
12 Le sacrificateur fit avancer le fils du roi, et il mit sur lui le diadème et le témoignage. Ils l'établirent roi et l'oignirent, et frappant des mains, ils dirent: Vive le roi!
12 Thug Iahóideá mac an rí amach ansin, chuir sé an choróin agus [na muincí] air, agus d'ung ina rí é. Ansin bhuail siad a mbosa agus chuir gáir suas: “Go maire an rí!”
12 Sacando luego Joiada al hijo del rey, púsole la corona y el testimonio, é hiciéronle rey ungiéndole; y batiendo las manos dijeron: ¡Viva el rey!
12 Und er ließ des Königs Sohn hervorkommen und setzte ihm eine Krone auf und gab ihm das Zeugnis, und sie machten ihn zum König und salbten ihn und schlugen die Hände zusammen und sprachen: Glück zu dem König!
13 Now Athaliah, hearing the noise made by the people, came to the people in the house of the Lord;
13 Athalie entendit le bruit des coureurs et du peuple, et elle vint vers le peuple à la maison de l'Éternel.
13 Nuair a chuala Atailiá gártha [an gharda agus] an phobail, tharraing sí ar an Teampall, áit a raibh na daoine.
13 Y oyendo Athalía el estruendo del pueblo que corría, entró al pueblo en el templo de Jehová;
13 Und da Athalja hörte das Geschrei des Volkes, das zulief, kam sie zum Volk in das Haus des HERRN
14 And looking, she saw the king in his regular place by the pillar, and the captains and the horns near him; and all the people of the land giving signs of joy and sounding the horns. Then Athaliah, violently parting her robes, gave a cry, saying, Broken faith, broken faith!
14 Elle regarda. Et voici, le roi se tenait sur l'estrade, selon l'usage; les chefs et les trompettes étaient près du roi: tout le peuple du pays était dans la joie, et l'on sonnait des trompettes. Athalie déchira ses vêtements, et cria: Conspiration! conspiration!
14 Nuair a chonaic sí an rí ina sheasamh ansin [ar an ardán], mar ba nós, agus na ceannfoirt agus na trumpadóirí i dteannta an rí agus pobal na tuaithe go léir ag déanamh gairdis agus ag séideadh stoc, stróic Atailiá a cuid éadaigh agus bhéic sí: “Feall! Feall!”
14 Y como miró, he aquí el rey que estaba junto á la columna, conforme á la costumbre, y los príncipes y los trompetas junto al rey; y que todo el pueblo del país hacía alegrías, y que tocaban las trompetas. Entonces Athalía, rasgando sus vestidos, clamó á voz en grito: ¡Traición, traición!
14 und sah. Siehe, da stand der König an der Säule, wie es Gewohnheit war, und die Obersten und die Drommeter bei dem König; und alles Volk des Landes war fröhlich, und man blies mit Drommeten. Athalja aber zerriß ihre Kleider und rief: Aufruhr, Aufruhr!
15 Then Jehoiada the priest gave orders to those who were placed in authority over the army, saying, Take her outside the lines, and let anyone who goes after her be put to death with the sword, for he said, Let her not be put to death in the house of the Lord.
15 Alors le sacrificateur Jehojada donna cet ordre aux chefs de centaines, qui étaient à la tête de l'armée: Faites-la sortir en dehors des rangs, et tuez par l'épée quiconque la suivra. Car le sacrificateur avait dit: Qu'elle ne soit pas mise à mort dans la maison de l'Éternel!
15 Ansin d'ordaigh Iahóideá an sagart do na hoifigigh airm: “Beirigí libh í taobh amuigh den áit naofa agus cuirigí chun báis leis an gclaíomh duine ar bith a leanfaidh í.” “Óir ní foláir,” a mheabhraigh an sagart dóibh, “gan í chur chun báis i dTeampall an Tiarna.”
15 Mas el sacerdote Joiada mandó á los centuriones que gobernaban el ejército, y díjoles: Sacadla fuera del recinto del templo, y al que la siguiere, matadlo á cuchillo. (Porque el sacerdote dijo que no la matasen en el templo de Jehová.)
15 Aber der Priester Jojada gebot den Obersten über hundert, die über das Heer gesetzt waren, und sprach zu ihnen: Führet sie zwischen den Reihen hinaus; und wer ihr folgt, der sterbe des Schwerts! Denn der Priester hatte gesagt, sie sollte nicht im Hause des HERRN sterben.
16 So they put their hands on her, and she went to the king's house by the doorway of the horses, and there she was put to death.
16 On lui fit place, et elle se rendit à la maison du roi par le chemin de l'entrée des chevaux: c'est là qu'elle fut tuée.
16 Rug siad uirthi agus ar shroicheadh an pháláis di, trí Gheata na gCapall, is ann a cuireadh chun báis í.
16 Diéronle pues lugar, y como iba el camino por donde entran los de á caballo á la casa del rey, allí la mataron.
16 Und sie machten ihr Raum zu beiden Seiten; und sie ging hinein des Weges, da die Rosse zum Hause des Königs gehen, und ward daselbst getötet.
17 And Jehoiada made an agreement between the Lord and the king and the people, that they would be the Lord's people; and in the same way between the king and the people.
17 Jehojada traita entre l'Éternel, le roi et le peuple, l'alliance par laquelle ils devaient être le peuple de l'Éternel; il établit aussi l'alliance entre le roi et le peuple.
17 Rinne Iahóideá conradh idir an Tiarna agus an rí agus an pobal, go mbeadh siad ina bpobal ag an Tiarna; idir an rí agus an pobal mar an gcéanna.
17 Entonces Joiada hizo alianza entre Jehová y el rey y el pueblo, que serían pueblo de Jehová: y asimismo entre el rey y el pueblo.
17 Da machte Jojada einen Bund zwischen dem HERRN und dem König und dem Volk, daß sie des HERRN Volk sein sollten; also auch zwischen dem König und dem Volk.
18 Then all the people of the land went to the house of Baal and had it pulled down: its altars and images were all broken to bits, and Mattan, the priest of Baal, they put to death before the altars. And the priest put overseers over the Lord's house.
18 Tout le peuple du pays entra dans la maison de Baal, et ils la démolirent; ils brisèrent entièrement ses autels et ses images, et ils tuèrent devant les autels Matthan, prêtre de Baal. Le sacrificateur Jehojada mit des surveillants dans la maison de l'Éternel.
18 Ansin chuaigh muintir na tuaithe go léir go teampall Bhál agus scrios siad é; rinne siad smionagar dá altóirí agus dá íomhánna, agus mharaigh siad Matán, sagart Bhál, os comhair na n‑altóirí. Agus chuir an sagart fir faire ar garda ar Theampall an Tiarna.
18 Y todo el pueblo de la tierra entró en el templo de Baal, y derribáronlo: asimismo despedazaron enteramente sus altares y sus imágenes, y mataron á Mathán sacerdote de Baal delante de los altares. Y el sacerdote puso guarnición sobre la casa de Jehová.
18 Da ging alles Volk des Landes in das Haus Baals und brachen ihre Altäre ab und zerbrachen seine Bildnisse gründlich, und Matthan, den Priester Baals, erwürgten sie vor den Altären. Der Priester aber bestellte die Ämter im Hause des HERRN
19 Then he took the captains of hundreds, and the Carians, and the armed men, and all the people of the land; and they came down with the king from the house of the Lord, through the doorway of the armed men, to the king's house. And he took his place on the seat of the kings.
19 Il prit les chefs de centaines, les Kéréthiens et les coureurs, et tout le peuple du pays; et ils firent descendre le roi de la maison de l'Éternel, et ils entrèrent dans la maison du roi par le chemin de la porte des coureurs. Et Joas s'assit sur le trône des rois.
19 Thug sé leis na ceannfoirt, na Cairianaigh, na fir faire agus muintir na tuaithe go léir, agus rugadar an rí leo óTheampall an Tiarna trí gheata na ngardaí isteach i bpálás an rí, agus shuigh sé i gcathaoir na ríthe.
19 Después tomó los centuriones, y capitanes, y los de la guardia, y á todo el pueblo de la tierra, y llevaron al rey desde la casa de Jehová, y vinieron por el camino de la puerta de los de la guardia á la casa del rey; y sentóse el rey sobre el trono de los reyes.
19 und nahm die Obersten über hundert und die Leibwächter und die Trabanten und alles Volk des Landes, und sie führten den König hinab vom Hause des HERRN und kamen durchs Tor der Trabanten zum Königshause; und er setzte sich auf der Könige Stuhl.
20 So all the people of the land were glad, and the town was quiet; and they had put Athaliah to death with the sword at the king's house.
20 Tout le peuple du pays se réjouissait, et la ville était tranquille. On avait fait mourir Athalie par l'épée dans la maison du roi.
20 Bhí lúcháir mhór ar mhuintir na tuaithe go léir. D'fhan an chathair ciúin, agus chuir siad Atailiá chun báis i bpálás an rí.
20 Y todo el pueblo de la tierra hizo alegrías, y la ciudad estuvo en reposo, habiendo sido Athalía muerta á cuchillo junto á la casa del rey.
20 Und alles Volk im Lande war fröhlich, und die Stadt war still. Athalja aber töteten sie mit dem Schwert in des Königs Hause.
21 And Jehoash was seven years old when he became king.
21 Joas avait sept ans lorsqu'il devint roi.
